Opus Training is the mobile-first platform trusted by Smashburger, José Andrés Group, Shipley Do-Nuts, VASA Fitness, Rising Tides Carwash, and thousands of store locations. Built specifically for frontline teams, it delivers practical training that actually sticks—no logins required, automatically translated into 100+ languages. Unlike traditional LMS platforms, Opus combines digital learning with hands-on verification, ensuring teams can perform what they've learned. Training embeds directly into daily operations through integrated task management, resource libraries, and team messaging—making learning happen during work, not instead of it. With AI-powered content creation, managers build professional training in minutes. Real-time dashboards show exactly who knows what across locations, spotting gaps before they become problems. Results are proven: Bahama Buck's cut onboarding by 25%, a Five Guys franchisee reduced manager turnover by 50%, Just Salad saved 10% in food waste.

Opus has been a strong fit for our organization from initial implementation through ongoing rollout. The platform is intuitive enough that our frontline team adopted it quickly, and flexible enough that we can build content tailored to our specific roles and culture. Implementation support was hands-on and responsive, which made a meaningful difference in how quickly we got to value. Nine months in, Opus has become central to how we train, communicate, and operate across all our locations.
Pros: After researching multiple LMS options for our 15-location grooming franchise, Opus has been the right call on every dimension that mattered to us. The mobile-first design gives a direct line to a frontline workforce that lives on their phones; courses deliver microlearning, task lists drive daily operational accountability, the resource library serves as an always-on knowledge base, and messaging has become our primary channel for building culture across locations. The admin-side AI tools have meaningfully cut content development time, and the team-side AI search means team members can self-serve answers in the moment instead of waiting on a manager. The Opus support team has been exceptionally responsive throughout our rollout, which has made a complex implementation feel manageable. The value relative to other platforms I evaluated isn't even close.
Cons: The main tradeoff: The marketplace skews toward food service, so off-the-shelf content options are limited for other industries. For us this is minor since we need to tailor most content to our specific workforce anyway, but teams hoping to lean heavily on pre-built libraries should evaluate that fit carefully.

Opus team is one of the most professional, efficient and client focused team you will ever work with. The platform was created with the frontline worker in mind and you can tell. Opus have saved me hours and hours of work, made my job easier and more fun, allowed me to be creative. It's more than just an LMS for us; it is a powerful tool in maintaining our standards, keeping the teams engaged and staying ahead of trends.
Pros: $7b
Cons: There aren’t many actual Cons. The only thing I sometimes notice is that a few of the translations can be a little off. That said, they’re constantly improving the platform, so it’s not really a big issue.

As a Director of Training focused on Operations Services, I’ve really loved using Opus to support our teams. It brings together mobile training, task management, a knowledge base, and AI search in a way that’s intuitive and easy to scale, even with a lean L&D team. We’ve been able to reduce onboarding time and improve guest satisfaction while moving quickly and staying flexible. I’ve worked with other platforms before, but Opus stands out in how well it adapts as our needs evolve. It’s been a genuinely helpful partner in keeping our teams aligned and set up for success.
Pros: Ease of use, adaptable, intuitive, both from the perspective of someone in my experience in Learning and Development, and from the perspective of a new hire. Even though it is digital-first approach, it doesn't rely on the user having a personal cellphone-- It can be a store iPad or desktop computer.
Cons: I find that there are so many updates rolling out constantly, it can be hard to keep up at times, but there are recap emails that Opus sends out to consolidate big and small improvements made to the platform.
Georgia W. · Director of Training and Ops Services · Restaurants · April 23, 2026
Opus is exactly what we needed for training in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Our team members love how easy it is to use on their phones, and managers love being able to see who has completed training at a glance. Creating and assigning content is quick, and the support team has been outstanding—responsive and genuinely invested in our success. We’ve seen better engagement, smoother onboarding, and stronger operational results since rolling it out. If you want a training solution that’s practical, effective, and team-friendly, Opus is the best choice out there.
Pros: What I like most about Opus is how simple and engaging it is for frontline staff. The mobile format makes training easy to access anytime, and the talkable style keeps team members interested instead of overwhelmed. I also love how quick it is to create content and track progress—it saves me time while making training more effective.
Cons: Opus has honestly been such a blessing for our team that it’s hard to find anything we would consider a true ‘con.’ From day one, the platform has been intuitive, easy to roll out, and instantly engaging for our staff. Training that used to feel overwhelming or inconsistent is now quick, accessible, and effective. Our team members actually enjoy completing courses, which is rare for training. The mobile-first design fits perfectly into a busy restaurant environment, and managers love how simple it is to track progress. If anything, the only challenge is keeping up with how much our staff wants more content. That’s a great problem to have, and it speaks to how impactful Opus has been.
Tish W. · Director of Training and Development · Restaurants · September 26, 2025
The support at Opus is so exceptional that I truly feel like we are on the same team. How they handle feedback (from asking for it, to listening to it with an open mind, to quickly honoring special requests) is unparalleled. The platform itself is best in class and the support takes it to another level.
Pros: Translations - The auto-translate feature has helped us better reach, train, and communicate with our entire team, not just English speakers. User Friendly - Course Creation is quick and easy. We are able to use our LMS for many more trainings because we can build and assign content with speed and ease. Navigating the platform is intuitive for the end user as well. Reporting - Reporting features are extensive and intuitive. I can look up almost anything in a matter of seconds. Senior Leadership has good visibility into reporting as well with the quick and easy permissions settings. Support - The Opus team is quick to respond, courteous, professional, and helpful, eager to hear feedback, and they are always making improvements based on the feedback.
Cons: The only con – they’re so good I sometimes can’t keep up with the improvements. But they are always a quick email or call away to help me navigate any new features.
Kim E. · Director of Training · Restaurants · May 29, 2025
My experience with Opus has been fantastic. It’s an easy-to-use platform that keeps us moving quickly and makes communication and training so much more streamlined. The support from the Opus team has been amazing—they really listen and are always there to help. Overall, Opus has made a real difference in how we work every day.
Pros: What I like most about Opus is the control it gives me over content creation and delivery, the speed it supports for launches and initiatives, and the outstanding support from the Opus team.
Cons: Honestly, I don’t any. Opus has consistently improved with updates, and their team actively seeks user feedback to make it even better.
Lynn D. · Director of Brand Experience · Hospitality · May 24, 2025
Our experience with Opus has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s a training platform that actually fits the way restaurants work. The mobile app makes it easy for team members to complete training on their own time, and the setup is simple. We’ve been able to roll out consistent new hire training, support ongoing development, and tie training to real tasks in our restaurants. The content creation tools are fast and flexible, especially with built-in AI and translation features. There are still a few areas that could grow but the Opus team listens to feedback and continues to improve the product. Overall, it’s helped us build a stronger, more scalable training program across the company.
Pros: Opus is built for how restaurants actually operate. The app is mobile-first and easy to use for both managers and hourly employees. It only takes a phone number to get started, which makes onboarding quick and painless. The courses are short, engaging, and easy to create. The built-in AI tools help us translate content, adjust tone, and write courses from scratch. We also like the check-in feature, which ties training to real moments on the job.
Cons: I have nothing specific to speak of. Some features are still evolving which is to be expected with a growing and expanding platform. That said, the team at Opus is highly responsive and genuinely listens to feedback, so improvements are ongoing.
Charles W. · Director of Training · Restaurants · May 23, 2025
Opus Training is incredibly easy to create, update, and administer content and deploy to our end users with efficiency. We can create content quickly and get it out to the field, as well as measure accuracy and completion of that content. Reporting is robust and our teams find it easy to dig in to review the success of the users in the platform. The customer support team is also some of the best I have ever worked with!
Pros: Opus Training allows us to deploy up-to-date training to multiple locations and multiple brands as needed. The end users access the training with no barriers, and get what they need to do their job the best of their ability. The end user is always changing, and Opus Training allows us to create training in ways the end users receive it best - be it digitally, visually, auditorily, and even allows downloads of SOPs if they need something printed out and tangible. With translation into the end users preferred language, we can guarantee that our training is being delivered correctly and effectively.
Cons: There are little to no downsides to Opus Training. Every time we have brought up a suggestion or a 'want', the Opus Training team has always done their best to create or accommodate what we're trying to accomplish. They are a company that values our feedback and partners with us to get what we need in learning and development.

Pros: Pros: Easy-to-use platform, fantastic support team, strong customer community, constant innovation, impactful webinars and office hours, 132 supported languages, AI-created content
Cons: Cons: None—Opus delivers and then some! It is the best in the business.
Kathleen M. · Director of Training and Development · Restaurants · May 15, 2025
Opus Training has completely transformed the way we approach team development across our restaurant group. From the very start, their customer service has been nothing short of exceptional—responsive, thoughtful, and truly invested in our success. The platform itself is innovative, easy to use, and even fun, which is no small feat in the world of training tools. It has helped us solve a huge number of operational challenges, from onboarding to ongoing education, all while keeping our team engaged. What’s most impressive is the across-the-board enthusiasm it’s generated—our managers love it, and our team members love it. When you find a tool that brings value at every level of the organization, you hold onto it. Opus is that tool. Highly recommend!
Pros: The A.I. functionality of Opus is an absolute game changer! No experience needed to develop incredible engaging content for your teams. The automations are fantastic! All of the integration possibilities! The reporting is one of my favorites. It makes it so easy on an executive level, all the way down to reporting for Team Members; one-stop-shop and its fantastic! It has SO MANY translation capabilities and this was an absolute must for our organization. This platform simply "checks all of the boxes"
Cons: This is incredibly difficult to answer. There is very little that I can think of to list as a con.
Jack W. · Director of Training and Development · Restaurants · May 13, 2025
Pros: Opus has been super easy to adapt to. Its very user friendly and has great features to use. The support team is excellent.
Cons: No complaints about Opus. We have been very happy with all products we have used.
Madison S. · Training Manager · Restaurants · May 12, 2025
Reliable, evolving, and genuinely invested in your success is the best way to describe the Opus Team. The platform delivers as promised, and additional resources like Office Hours make it easy to build meaningful connections with individuals within your field. An all-around outstanding experience!
Pros: Opus is the definition of a true partnership. The team is genuinely invested in your success. Continually evolving with thoughtful updates that enhance the user experience.
Cons: It’s hard to find anything to dislike when the company is continuously improving the platform with meaningful updates. The team is also highly receptive to feedback and open to new ideas.
Whitley L. · Director of Training · Food & Beverages · May 11, 2025
We oversee training for 14 locations and our corporate and talent teams, and Opus has allowed us to stay aligned and agile as we continue to grow each year. It’s made a measurable difference in delivering and tracking compliance, onboarding, and leadership development training. With Opus, our SOPs and system trainings are easily accessible on mobile, making it simple for our frontline teams and managers to stay on track. The ability to quickly customize and deploy new courses is invaluable, especially during periods of expansion. If you're looking for an LMS that actually works for operators, Opus is it.
Pros: User-friendly, mobile-first platform Ideal for compliance, safety, orientation, and manager development Easy to build, launch, and track training content Excellent support and fast turnaround on feedback Centralized access to SOPs and system training across locations
Cons: We’d love to see alcohol awareness included in the compliance training catalog, but we know that’s on their roadmap and coming soon
Brea W. · Director of Training · Entertainment · May 9, 2025
It's overwhelmingly positive. From onboarding to integration to launch the entire process was easy and user friendly. Support has always been great throughout each of these phases as well. 100/10 recommend.
Pros: What I like best about Opus is the control I have over content. From creation of the content to the first roll out, it's easy to use and edit. The AI ability saves me so much time and effort with the small stuff that I'm able to dedicate more time to my bigger projects. The support I received from onboarding to launch to now has been fantastic and never wavered. If I have an issue, I'm able to talk to someone real in little to no time. They take my suggestions for new features seriously and have implemented at least 1 that I can think of right now. Integrating PayCor was incredibly easy as it links to the user's emails that they use in Opus. Overall, I have never been happier to switch from one platform to another. I use Opus everyday and will continue to use it to better my concept and my teams.
Cons: I honestly can't think of anything. The things I didn't like have been resolved.
Sara E. · Training NRO Manager · Food & Beverages · May 9, 2025
My overall experience with Opus has been 10/10. I have really enjoyed working with them, and I appreciate their commitment to our program's success. They are adaptable, and willing to listen to feedback and actually design solutions around said feedback.
Pros: Opus is a really great, comprehensive product for learning management. I love the care that the team puts into ensuring that your content is relevant, helpful, and accessible to the front line teams in a way that makes learning effective. They are swift in creating solutions to any problems that come up, and are always finding ways to utilize technology to their advantage.
Cons: There are a few functionality issues within the content builder that are minor inconveniences. However, we have created work arounds for them. But, I would say that the would be what I like the least, even if I am able to work around that functionally.
