PrestaShop

Pros: I only have experience of prestashop's open-source project, but on the projects I've used it on (a few years ago now) the platform catered for typical ecommerce needs well, allowing a low-cost shop to accept online sales and payments with a simple to use backend for clients.

Cons: It was a few years ago that we used Prestashop, we found it to be a bit buggy at times and experienced a fair few breaking changes for updates. For this reason we ended up switching to other systems.

Pros: PrestaShop is an e-commerce CMS similar to WooCommerce that allows you to create online stores easily. The user interface is simple, and there are specific modules available for different types of projects. Templates are easy to find and install, and the platform handles everything from creating to publishing articles or online shops. It’s also simple to integrate an online payment system through APIs from payment service providers.

Cons: PrestaShop is quite heavy to install locally and takes up a lot of space. Its modules are paid and often expensive for individuals. There are occasional bugs that can be difficult to fix, and the backend isn’t really designed for non-technical users.

Pros: La modularità è probabilmente ciò che rende PrestaShop una scelta così amata. Puoi espandere facilmente le funzionalità del tuo negozio integrando moduli aggiuntivi. Ad esempio, se inizi con prodotti semplici e poi decidi di offrire varianti personalizzate, con pochi clic puoi aggiungere il modulo giusto. Questo approccio permette una crescita graduale e sostenibile del tuo negozio.

Cons: I moduli a pagamento possono far lievitare i costi più velocemente di quanto si possa pensare. Alcune funzionalità che davvero desideravo aggiungere erano disponibili solo a pagamento, e i prezzi non erano sempre economici.

Pros: Simplicité d'utilisation et de mise en place sans avoir besoin d'avoir de connaissance dans la création d'un site.

Cons: Les mises à jour sont souvent lourdes à mettre en place lorsqu'on doit changer de version. Cela à souvent un fort impact sur les développements qui ont été fait sur l'ancienne version

Pros: Fonctionnalités e-commerce et gestion de contenus efficaces, plutôt facile d'accès, CMS complet.

Cons: Pas toujours évident de trouver les éléments de personnalisation, pas mal de plugins à ajouter si l'on veut enrichir la solution.

Pros: One of the most complete and efficient e-commerce systems around, very complete, customizable and also suitable for large catalogues. Excellent organization of the backoffice in managing orders and products.

Cons: Unfortunately some small but annoying technical bugs are also retained in new releases. It must be known thoroughly in order to make technical changes. Some third-party modules occasionally conflict with each other.

Pros: Easy to navigate, easy to add products and manage products and inventory

Cons: some Plugins can be costly when trying to setup a feed for example

Pros: Easy to set up and complete as an ecommerce system

Cons: Completely useless b2b mode. I do not know what function it is supposed to have there

Pros: un CMS affidabile con alte prestazioni di gestione ordine e template grafico

Cons: usato come gestionale non è possibile inviare fatture tramite SDI se non con ulteriori software collegati

Pros: PrestaShop est un site puissant et entièrement personnalisable, avec un potentiel immense et une superbe structure de base de données.

Cons: Le service client est déplorable, sans aucun respect pour l'ancienneté. Ils changent leurs politiques de vente et vous demandent de payer des abonnements pour des modules achetés avant leur nouvelle politique de racket.

Pros: è un CMS versatile per vendere i prodotti online

Cons: sei comunque costretto a interagire con gli sviluppatori dei vari moduli, il problema che Italiani sono pochi

Pros: PrestaShop est une solution e-commerce exceptionnelle, idéale pour les petites et moyennes entreprises. Facile à utiliser et à personnaliser, il permet de créer une boutique en ligne professionnelle sans nécessiter de compétences techniques approfondies. Ses nombreuses fonctionnalités, telles que la gestion des stocks, les options de paiement et les outils de marketing intégrés, simplifient la gestion et la croissance de votre entreprise. PrestaShop offre une flexibilité et une puissance inégalées, faisant de lui un choix incontournable pour tout entrepreneur.

Cons: Certains fonctionnalités de prestashop ne sont pas assez optimisées selon la taille du marchand.

Pros: You are free to use the payment system you need, and you are in absolute control of your data, payments and process. You can code anything you can imagine

Cons: Less plugins in the marketplace than other ecommerce systems. You need to code almost everything and is hard to change the website behavior

Pros: Prestahsop offers a great combination of inventory, order and ecommerce management. It´s more expensive than similar tools and offers a good price-quality ratio.

Cons: The catalog management becomes quite manual, it would be great to improve the product entry process.

Pros: At the beginning, it seemed a great way to start selling online. It's kind of easy to use...

Cons: As new platforms were being released in the market, it became old fashioned.

Pros: Makkelijk in gebruik en onderhoud. Grote aantallen plug-ins om de functionaliteit uit te breiden.

Cons: Voor mijn doeleinde (simpele webshop), eigenlijk geen minpunten ondervonden.

Pros: We used to work with Prestashop for ecommerce up until 8 years ago roughly. We started to notice that WooCommerce was starting to evolve and the seamless integration with WordPress is behond "just another plugin". It literally works perfectly together to act as a great ecommerce platform. Also, having experience developing for both platforms (we develop and sell plugins/modules for both platforms) it's a lot faster to develop for WordPress/WooCommerce than it is for Prestashop.

Cons: Community is not that huge compared to WordPress. Development, due to the way the core was created, is more time consuming than WordPress and that makes it less appealing because it costs more for customers.

Pros: La semplicità d'uso di Shopify sta mettendo in crisi prestashop che rimane comunque, per molte aziende, una alternativa importante.

Cons: L'essere proprietario del proprio e-commerce, senza dover pagare fee

Pros: En tant que chez de projet, j'ai mené des projets pour la création des sites web e-commerce avec le CMS Prestashop et le point fort de ce dernier est vraiment sa performance au niveau du gestion du panier et la sécurité.

Cons: Je dirais, le prix des plugins et modules qui sont assez chers je trouve.

Pros: PrestaShop est une solution robuste et très intéressante dans le cadre de développement d'une plateforme e-commerce de moyenne et grande taille. Le développement de la solution sous framework Symfony rend l'architecture facile à comprendre mais surtout performante. À l'inverse de certains concurrent, même avec un grand nombre de références enregistrées en boutique, PrestaShop surprend par ses performances et son adaptabilité.

Cons: L'écosystème de plugins ou de thème PrestaShop peut parfois décevoir un peu. Il peut arriver de tomber sur des plugins largement utilisés et trop peu maintenus par la communauté ou par l'auteur.

Pros: La sécurité, le fait qu'il soit open source et le multistore

Cons: Je dirai plutôt, le fait que les plugins sont assez cher.

Pros: J'ai particulièrement apprécié la flexibilité de PrestaShop pour personnaliser ma boutique en ligne, ainsi que la diversité des modules disponibles

Cons: Un peu compliqué au début pour un nouveau utilisateur

Pros: Prestashop allows any startup or small business create its own ecommerce platform fairly fast and in its basic form, for free. When properly configured, the basic functionalities will allow for instant deployment of an online store.

Cons: It is very easy to get excited about the potential of Prestashop, but one clashes immediately with the prices of the themes, modules and plugins needed to get some extra functionalities. Prices can be an obstacle for small startups or small businesses
