Pros: That the consultants help this novice with EVERYTHING with a much more cheerful attitude than my younger family members!
Cons: Adding photos and documents should be just as easy as on Word. I would like a simple table of contents for each problem people encounter, click on it, receive solution (especially for those who have trouble remembering - the elderly volunteer coordinators)!

Very good overall. I've been using the system going on 3 years now and like the fact that the user interface is good both on phone and PC.
Pros: Access to prior and current event data. User friendly system including mobile. Very responsive support as well and super friendly!
Cons: Some times user permissions can be confusing. Would be great to have a seamless way to share passwords with group captains in a efficient manner.

The support team completely makes up for it. Specifically, [sensitive content hidden] was incredible during our training and onboarding. She helped us navigate the initial hurdles and ensured we knew exactly how to get the most out of the system.
Pros: I’ve been very impressed with the value VolunteerLocal provides relative to the cost. The tiered pricing model is a huge plus—it allows us to pay exactly for what we need without getting locked into expensive features we won't use.
Cons: The only significant downside I encountered was the data migration process. Getting our existing data into the system from our previous platform was a challenge. If you are starting from scratch, the setup is seamless, but be prepared for some friction if you are moving over a large database.

It was a bit of a learning curve for me in starting a new role, but my database nerd self delights in the opportunity to build things out beautifully and functionally now!
Pros: The functions to reserve blocks for volunteers as well as the volunteer experience have improved drastically in just my 6 months of use! It's a gift to be able to keep our branding and also direct volunteers quickly to the most actionable steps. Also, [sensitive content hidden] newsletter with tips and tricks is the most helpful!
Cons: Some of the backend user interface has been clunky, but for the most part I'm extremely satisfied for the value.

Pros: The user-friendliness of the database and the excellent customer service I have been afforded have made my first experience using a volunteer database a pleasure.
Cons: I do not have any cons to share. If I have needed extra information or fields for my volunteers to provide more information, [sensitive content hidden] has enthusiastically reassured me they would be added. I have no complaints.

Amazing. Great product. Highly recommend. Appreciate all the customizable features and ability to add links and photos.
Pros: Best volunteer management product we have tried so far. Especially appreciate the constant and reliable support from [sensitive content hidden] for any and all questions I have!
Cons: A bit of a learning curve at the beginning like any new system, however the support forums are really helpful to get an idea of what to do. If I have any questions I can just call and get a walk-through!

I found VolunteerLocal to be responsive and quick to deal with questions and they focused on resolutions.
Pros: Really easy to learn and set up my event and corresponding shifts.Support was easy to access and responsive. I needed a specialty report and the VolunteerLocal Support person quickly provided me a Google Spreadsheet that gave me exactly what I needed and taught me how to do it myself.
Cons: A couple of minor suggestions. I needed to capture of summary of tshirt size AND hat size. I would have liked to see both on my dashboard.

This is my first time gathering volunteers and it is a big event, This was the best one stop shop for everything we need, from communticating to the voulnteers and them checking in.
Pros: All the help I got from Support [sensitive content hidden]! Streamline procces! The easy of setup and having thing in one place,
Cons: So far nothing. When we had a creative brain storm, we would call Support and [sensitive content hidden] made it happen.

Pros: This is an amazing platform to keep our volunteers engaged and organized! It is very user friendly. The automatic reminders have saved me so much time. The tech support have been patient with me while learning the program.
Cons: The inability to send texts and emails to individuals. I would like to have more crossover communication between events.

Pros: The ease of using this software for myself and other volunteers that work with me at our festival is fantastic.
Cons: The only thing I've found that would be helpful having is a quick and easy report that give me each shift with the number needed and the number filled.

Pros: There are so many positive features - the communication tools, options for categorizing and organizing volunteers, features to help streamline onboarding and continued training. It seems the team thought of nearly everything when developing the software, and their availability and knowledge about the program is wildly helpful. Their Support specialist, [sensitive content hidden] , not only answered a question I emailed quickly and made the solution very clear and easy to follow, she made time after that to meet via Zoom and teach me a bit more about the program, solving a few challenges I wasn't even aware VL could mitigate prior to speaking with her! Afterward she even made a few guides specifically for our account to help familiarize me with it even more. Her competence and knowledge of VL is top tier, and her ability to quickly pick up the needs of our program made a huge difference.
Cons: The communication tool is a bit cumbersome at times when trying to attach or insert photos or documents, but all in all works quite well.

I appreciated that my feedback was valued and that [sensitive content hidden] at VL was able to walk me through our processes and any concerns that I may have had. She was thorough and considerate of our experience.
Pros: I liked working with [sensitive content hidden] because she was able to diagnose my problem quickly and present fast and efficient solutions.
Cons: There was nothing that I didn't like, but what I struggled a bit with was that our use of the site might need to have some large changes in order to make quick fixes. The way we have our programs and events set up allow for some capabilities but act as an obstacle for others.

It's been good. I wonder if the learning time for users (especially users of a certain age) could be improved by reducing the choices to four buttons per page. I'm told that's how you make a system more intuitive. I know it also makes each operation longer. May not be worth it.
Pros: The two biggest advantages this has over systems I've used in the past are support and event duplication. From the very start, the team at VL have helped me learn the system, make the most of its functionality and troubleshoot when something isn't right. They have a rare combination of both patience with the time I need to learn or fix issues, and a sense of urgency when I need their help fixing something quickly. With event duplication, I save endless hours of re-creating jobs and shifts for annual events. I've worked with systems that would clone the general event information, but Volunteer Local is set up to re-create jobs and shift details. For a 500-shift event, that saves an enormous amount of work.
Cons: The next areas I'd love Volunteer local to develop would be a volunteer survey function within the system, the ability to attach training documents right to pre-shift emails, and a more elegant design of the end-user pages. However, if prettier pages increased the monthly cost of VL, I'd probably pass. I imagine many volunteer managers in small non-profit organizations would do the same.

Overall my experience has been confusing and overwhelming so far but [sensitive content hidden] has been my saving grace and I feel confident I can figure out everything I will need with her help!
Pros: I am just getting started in the platform and while it has been overwhelming, by far my favorite part is your personalized support. [sensitive content hidden] has helped me twice in the past week as I try to get familiarized with the platform and I just can't say enough about how wonderful she has been. She was kind, patient, and was so respectful in how she guided me through the tasks I needed to know more about. I especially love that you all do not use an automated system, and that I was able to reach the same *actual* person each time I called without having to go through a long menu of choices. THANK YOU for having live support staff available but most of all thank you for [sensitive content hidden]! :)
Cons: It is a lot to take in, though that is probably unavoidable. It would be nice to see a list of certain data within the platform without having to export it as well.

Pros: I love having all of my volunteers' information for all of the events in one place. Also love that when I need help the VL staff is quick to respond and they are always kind (they don't treat me like I'm an idiot! lol!)
Cons: Sometimes I find the email a bit awkward, but love that it is an option!!!

This is the first time I have really dove into the application. Trying to develop a process to fit out user needs as a sib organization. The support I have received when I have had questions is always prompt and friendly. This morning I left a voicemail and was immediately phoned back for assistance. [sensitive content hidden] was very professional and was able to assist with my issue as well as provide information for additional questions I had. While I like to explore things myself, It's good to know I have support when needed.
Pros: I like to ability to copy a volunteer to different positions instead of manual entry.

Pros: I know if I fill out a ticket, I will be responded to very quickly. I work with [sensitive content hidden] mostly, and he's always helpful. He understands I'm not a tech person at all, and he's patient and kind.
Cons: It's difficult for me to learn new tech, and I think most of my problems stem from that, not the funtionality of the product.

I find it fairly easy to use. I wish I had more time to delve into all the extra features it offers because I'd probably be amore efficient user. I appreciate the customer service aspect of it the most.
Pros: The scheduling is easy to set up, making adjustments to existing factions if use is easy to do. My customer service rep is on the ball, thanks [sensitive content hidden]! He will always try to squeeze in my problems for solution in an immediate manner and that is probably my favorite part of this program.
Cons: I wish the YouTube channel were updated more frequently, I do like using that as a resource, but when the interface changes and the tutorial doesn't reflect that change, it can be confusing.
