Overall, I think the software is effective and it does what I need it to do. I love that I can manage inventory and create recipes to help track costs associated with custom products. It also shows you the the cost involved so you know if you are charging enough.
Pros: I love the support and functionality of the software. It's the best I've found for makers as far as an ERP system.
Cons: I'd like to see a little more control given when it comes to deleting or merging products in bulk. I'd also like it if we could exclude some items from being imported from sales channels so if you wanted to have drop shipped items, they do not get pulled into your products section. They're constantly updating the software so hopefully this will be something in the near future.

Pros: The ability to easily and accurately track my purchases, orders, materials and products. I tried to do this for with Excel spreadsheets for years and I as constantly struggling to account for extra/missing materials and inventory that was all due to user error on my part. Craftybase is really slick and I won’t go back.
Cons: It’s a bit expensive for my low-volume knitting hobby sales - even though I only do Pro level ($240/yr), I probably only gross 2-4x the subscription cost. Not being able to run more reports at this cost level is sometimes frustrating. And I’m not selling on Etsy any more, doing craft shows, so order tracking is now manual for me.

There is a learning curve, but that is not a fault. I have enjoyed the experience overall, and have learned a lot.
Pros: The software itself is great, well thought-out, and comprehensive. Most of the time if I need a feature, it is already there and teaches me more. It also seems they are consistently developing and are taking feedback to build in new features. The customer service has been solid and fairly quick to respond.
Cons: For a truly small business, the pricing and consistent feature-baiting to the next subscription are almost not viable. I am going to see how this goes for a while, but I may have to simply bail on the software if I can't afford it. From the buyer standpoint I think much more should be available at the basic tier.

Overall, I love craftybase. Prior to using it, I was using spreadsheets and magic. Craftybase is a huge improvement to that sort of system, though I still use a little magic.
Pros: Craftybase has vastly improved how easily I can track my materials and product inventory for my soap, candle, and body care product business. I subscribed in 2024. There are a lot of thoughtful details in how you can set up not just recipes, but recipe precursors, that saves me a lot of time and works well with how I make master batches. It's also been great in terms of syncing with my website on woocommerce, and when there have been issues (probably entirely due to woocommerce), customer support has been so responsive and even followed up down the line to see if the issues have gotten better. Plus, they've introduced improvements in the syncing capabilities with online merchant platforms since I joined craftybase.
Cons: There are still issues in how the products sync with woocommerce, but the team has been really responsive to those and I fully trust fixes are in the works. For example, I use product bundling plugins on my website, and they don't sync properly with craftybase. They don't actually sync properly with woocommerce either haha. So many complex backend issues that I'm sure compete across the different merchant platforms. I've been really impressed with how they handle things.

Awesome. From stock control, product traceability for compliance, costing and making life easier, I'd say Crafty base is best even for a smal, newl bakery such as mine
Pros: I loved the support the product offers. There is a lot of in product support and lots of instruction but I am a huge overthinker and the email support function was just amazing. It helped me get to grips with things and later on when I had to suspend my subscription due to a health issue that meant I couldnt work, they showed me how to capture and save my data for when i restart. It took me a little time to figure out what product features I needed and again getting me to the right solution I got great support. I had previously used a competitor product mainly because it was free. I was new to baking and software and discovered - as I tried to get reports sorted etc - that I needed a more professional piece of software and Craftybase is it.
Cons: It is a little more complicated than it first looks so read the help sheets and think about structure. SKUs are not compulsory but better you use them . I learn by doing rather than reading so I eventually had to start again with things. But it was no problem to the guys at teh other end of the email! And understanding what the "units" are can be tricky - at least I struggled with that for a while

Pros: I've been using Craftybase for quite a few years now and I honestly can't imagine my workflow without this software. It has great functionality for tracking manufacturing processes from raw materials to order completion, including full compliance with EU tracebility requirements. The Craftybase support team are great and have never failed to help me with any issues during the years, and I like that they proactively take feedback on board and continuously improve the software.
Cons: I struggled a little with the bulk update functionality when I needed to change currencies as I wasn't very familiar with using CSV files.

Overall, Craftybase has performed well for our handcrafted goat milk soap and lotion. I'm pleased with their program, customer service and time saving elements of this platform.
Pros: Crafty base has allowed me to get a handle on the 130 different product mixes that I currently stock on several selling platforms. At a glance I can see my inventory stock levels. Craftybase has also simplified my gross margin and I now know if my pricing is correct on our products. Customer service is excellent and quick to respond to questions.
Cons: Craftybase needs to increase the platforms that they sync. Our Ecwid and Tik Tok sites currently don't sync which means that I have to manually enter all orders. Set up was tedious and I would encourage more onboarding tutorials to eliminate a lot of wasted input hours.

Overall. Great product that I would recommend to any small business. It is easy to use and is a great product to manage inventory and cost products.
Pros: The product is very easy to use an intuitive. I was able to import starting inventory and build recipes. I manufactured 3 items yesterday and it consumed everything correctly. Customer support is great too.
Cons: Not sure if it is the user(me) or the software but the purchase unit vs usage unit didn’t work for me. I buy chocolate by the case but consume lbs. I put the conversion in but recipe consumed the purchase unit vs lbs. Not a huge issue. I just entered everything in lbs with no conversion.

Craftybase has been an absolute game-changer for my small, witchy craft business. Their customer service is always on point—whether I have a general question or run into a technical issue, they’re friendly, helpful, and incredibly quick to respond.
Pros: The program itself is amazing. It makes managing material and product inventory so easy, helps me track my consignment locations, and allows me to bill out craft events without stress. Everything feels intuitive and thoughtfully designed for makers.
Cons: At this time, my only real challenge is around returns and exchanges. There isn’t currently an option within orders to process a customer return or exchange. I’ve tried using negative adjustments as a workaround, but it doesn’t fully capture the transaction the way a true return or exchange feature would. Similarly, on the purchasing side, there isn’t a way to create a vendor credit memo or process a refund for materials that were returned. Having built-in return, exchange, and credit memo functionality—for both customers and vendors—would make the system even more complete and eliminate the need for workarounds.Overall, this is a minor gap in an otherwise excellent program.

So far so good! I will update my review once I have all of my data entered and can really start seeing how it helps me save time tracking costs and inventory
Pros: I am just getting started with Craftybase and so far I love it. Customer service has been amazing with answering all of my questions and helping me get set up. I have never used an inventory management system before but am finding Craftybase easy to use so far especially with the great help from customer service responding quickly to all of my questions!
Cons: So far I am just getting started entering all of my data and with the help of customer service that has been going smoothly so no negatives to report so far
Michelle M. · Founder · Retail · January 5, 2026
Overall it's an excellent product with great support, and the inability to connect to my accounting system is outweighed by the features and benefits it provides me with
Pros: The ability to create BOM's which can have multiple components and effectively other BOM's built in making them multi layered
Cons: The ability to connect to MYOB accounting, means I have to have 2 systems running. Ideally an integration to other accounting packages would be great.
Vicki B. · Owner · Cosmetics · January 2, 2026
Really easy setup and a clean user friendly UI. There are some QOL drawbacks, but I have been messaging them and they are very receptive to my feedback. They even fixed a bug I found within 2 weeks. I find this company and platform very promising so far and do recommend.
Pros: Craftybase allows us to convert raw materials into products and calculate the inventory for it all. We can also enter purchase orders and have each department fill in their own information. The customer service is really helpful and responsive. I love that you can create recipes for the products and then even output a BOM from that.
Cons: Craftybase isn't quite set up for the type of business we run and the current UI has some small setbacks. They are very open to discussion, though, and are working with me through my requests. Which is huge.

Great experience. I like the quick response, knoweldge base is always helpful and it seems to have everything I need and some that I didn't know I needed yet.
Pros: Easy to use, and customer service is FANTASTIC. Any and all questions I have had have been addressed quickly and completely. I can easily navigate the system to create recipes, log purchases, and monitor my material levels. I am also looking forward to trying out the new integration with QuickBooks.
Cons: I would like to be able to inventory non-COGS items by name/description. Such as shipping items. Honestly this may be an option, and I just haven't used it yet. I just decided I needed to do this.
Heidi J. · Owner · Retail · December 1, 2025
Overall it's been an improvement over Soapmaker and I like being able to assign projects and check things from home. Support has been fairly responsive and helpful. Setup took a lot of time and some of my employees haven't liked how long it takes to get their batch paperwork going. Printing is laborious sometimes.
Pros: I do like the capabilities and it being on the cloud. However there are some features that would be helpful. It made my organic inspection easy because I could just easily pull up the batches for my mass balance audit.
Cons: $89

I may go to the trouble of migrating to a different inventory management software. Talking to Inventora right now about the ease of this. Having materials automatically deduct when I sell a product is very basic functionality that I should not have to pay $1,000 / year to have.
Pros: Loved being able to create recipes from materials to identify exact costs for each product I sell. Loved being able to update a material cost and have it manifest in all the product recipes automatically to have an accurate cost of goods for each product.
Cons: It is an obvious "money grab" for them to block the "auto-manufacture" feature to force you to upgrade to a much more expensive plan. After all the work of entering your materials inventory and product recipes, when you sell a product the software will NOT automatically deduct the materials from your inventory UNLESS you pay for a more expensive plan. As soon as you go back to a less costly plan, they block this very basic feature. This very basic feature - deducting materials when a product sells so you can properly manage your materials inventory - should be included in the Studio Plan but they force you to upgrade to the 2x as expensive Indie Plan.

I am so please with the customer service, the help bot, and the interface of the app. The business of manufacturing of products is new to me the past two years. Prior to that the businesses I have run have all been service based. To have a program like Craftybase allows me to capture all of the data I need for our certifications and government compliance in Australia. Plus, all of the data for our accountant at tax time. I am better able to run the business knowing my profit per product made and love that it allows me to add in my cost of time.
Pros: I have been searching for ways to organise my business. We make soap and skin care products, so I have many manufacturing recipes, suppliers, and costs to account for. Craftybase was a dream come true. I had about 50 scraps of paper with notes and was manually calculating my cogs at the base of my recipes. Now, everything is in Craftybase and when I manufacture a product, it updates my inventory as well.
Cons: I am learning the interface between Shopify and Craftybase. I am hoping I can learn how to have Craftybase update my inventory in Shopify when I manufacture a new product. It maybe I haven't found it yet. I've only been working in Craftybase a week, but already the improvement to my business is immeasurable.

It's kind of simple and very easy to use it. Just need time to make your self familiar with it and getting use to it
Pros: The simplicity of the main page. It is easy to make your products and control your materials and components
Cons: The limitation on eshops communication platforms. Not all countries have the same commercial sites for saling goods. Need of more platforms. I don't know how easy is to make it happen, it's just a notice

I've used Craftybase for 11 years now and would be lost without all the tracking it does for me. It downloads all my sales and generates reports that help at tax time.
Pros: I love that all my supplies and inventory are easily accessed on any device. It keeps everything up to date. I love that it pulls info from Square and Etsy for me.
Cons: Doing my state sales tax can be a pain since i sell in different cities. I have to manually figure it out.

Everyone at Craftybase are only too happy to help & are very knowledgeable. It does have everything I could want in a program to account for every aspect of my business. I'll happily recommend this to anyone needing to keep track of everything.
Pros: I've been using Craftbase for many years now & have found it so useful with everything I need to track. From adding purchases for matierials, adding products etc, I can keep track of everything associated to my business, process & production management accounting etc. There are also many different reports you can run. Even though I'm in the UK with a different time zone, I always receive very prompt replies from Customer Support with solutions to my queries.
Cons: I honestly can't think of anything negative about Craftybase & will continue using it for years to come.

I'm grateful we have found Craftybase to help us with inventory management, and excited to see how this continues to improve our efficincies as a company.
Pros: It has been a pretty seamless one stop shop for the size scale we are as a company. It is also affordable in comparison to other alternative options out there, which we really appreciate. The customer service has been excellent at every turn too when we have questions.
Cons: It has been a slight undertaking to have everything set up as we get up and running, but does seem like once the up front work is done, we should be rocking and rolling.
Elijah J. · General Management · Food & Beverages · August 19, 2025
Pros: It’s incredibly useful for my small handmade business with room to grow. It tracks everything for me.
Cons: I have very few complaints about Craftybase. Every issue that has ever come up has been resolved promptly.
iliana m. · Sole Proprietor · Luxury Goods & Jewelry · August 13, 2025
Excellent central place to run my craft business so that I know when I need to order more supplies, and understand what I should make next.
Pros: It helps me understand the true cost of manufacturing my products, and I'll like the seamless integration between my orders and inventory.
Cons: I wish there were a more automatic way of syncing high-level information to Quickbooks, including for end-of-year taxes.

Craftybase has been a game changer for my small business. It offers great value for the money, especially considering how comprehensive the features are. From tracking raw materials to logging sales and expenses, it keeps everything organized in one central place.
Pros: The user interface is intuitive and easy to learn, making it a solid option even for those of us who aren’t super tech-savvy. I also appreciate the detailed reports that help me stay on top of profitability and pricing.
Cons: The biggest drawback for me is that Craftybase doesn’t yet sync with all of my e-commerce platforms, which means I still have to enter some data manually. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does add a few extra steps to my workflow. Still, for the overall value, functionality, and peace of mind it provides, I highly recommend Craftybase to any small business owner who needs to manage both product inventory and materials efficiently.

Overall, Craftybase makes managing my small business materials, products and expenses easy. I highly recommend it if you have a small handmade business.
Pros: I like that Craftybase makes it easy to manage all my products, materials, inventory, and expenses in one place. I love its automatic manufacture feature the best though. It saves so much time!
Cons: It was a little bit of a learning curve to set it all up, but that may have been more me and my understanding on inventory management at the time.
Lindsey C. · Owner, Aromatherapist · Alternative Medicine · August 4, 2025
Very positive, easy to use for the most part, some issues arise but googling the issue usually fixes it easily
Pros: I love that it keeps all the tracking of my candle making in one place. I don't have to calculate much
Cons: Cost per month, even on lowest tier plan. Still not too overpriced. But owning a business is just expensive, this is a cost I don't mind paying as much because how organized it keeps me as a candle maker
