WorkStory is performance management software for today's teams. Performance tools should reflect the pace of our work, not stifle development. You need a better process—because annual reviews just don't work anymore. Automate your process with the tools your team already uses—Slack, MS Teams, WebEx, Gmail or Outlook—to collect performance data as part of your workflow. How it works: 1. Add your team - Upload your roster or add team members one-by-one whenever you need. 2. Pick your questions - Use our existing bank of questions or customize your own. Create your own roles, select your categories, and add questions. 3. Collect feedback - Turn the process on and WorkStory will start to collect feedback and performance data automatically from the team. 4. Build performance reviews - With hundreds of datapoints already collected, performance reviews take just minutes. 5. Grow and develop your team - Real-time feedback means your team is more engaged in growth throughout the year.

Before WorkStory, completing annual performance reviews was drudgery. WorkStory is a "breath of fresh air" from the traditional performance review process. Their onboarding process was also excellent, coming directly from one of the founders.
Pros: Their common sense approach has made the performance review process magnitudes easier and less stressful. Their chat/email integrations streamline the process. Connecting WorkStory with Microsoft Teams was a breeze!
Cons: With their chat integration (MS Teams), you answer a question and then it's sent and gone, into the void of their cloud. It should be easier to review what was sent or to make corrections after the initial question was sent. So, I'm supposed to log in through the web to do this? There is an option to "Sign in with Google" but no SSO/OAuth option for my work email?

I really like the tool, it looks like performance review process will be easier this year comparing to previous ones, when I spent more than a day to write reviews about other employees and myself.
Pros: I like that my feedback about employees is gathered in small parts. Every time, I answer to specific question, so I assume it will be more helpful for managers at the end. The tool is very easy to use, its configuration is simple (I set up integration with MS Teams).
Cons: The only thing I found currently is that the notifications of new goals specified in the systems are not send with an email or Teams message. But that's rather a minor issue.

Overall experience has been positive, especially due to the platform's simplicity and ease of use. I like how the short, frequent reviews build over time to create a more complete picture of performance. While the volume of requests and occasional integration issues can be a bit frustrating, the core functionality works well and helps make feedback more continuous and meaningful.
Pros: The platform is very user-friendly, with a clean layout that makes navigation simple even for first-time users. I appreciate how it streamlines the review process without feeling overwhelming or time-consuming. The prompts are clear and helpful, which makes it easier to provide thoughtful and meaningful feedback.
Cons: One downside I’ve experienced is the high volume of review requests, which can feel overwhelming to manage and may lead to notification fatigue, making it harder to give each request proper attention. Also had some issues with Slack integration.

The experience has been extremely rewarding and our team has really been enjoying the ability to easily provide recognition and feedback.
Pros: easiest way to provide feedback and recognition to our team. We have found this to be significantly easier from an adoption standpoint all team members
Cons: As of now there is not anything I can stay that needs to be improved on. I am interested to see how your team handles support along with feature requests

Pros: The platform offers a strong and varied selection of questions that cover a broad range of topics, ensuring that users can gather comprehensive feedback or share detailed thoughts. A particularly impressive feature is the granular control over anonymity. The ability to pick and choose the specific level of anonymity for each review or response is incredibly valuable, as it allows users to provide honest feedback when necessary while maintaining transparency or identity when appropriate. This flexibility significantly encourages more open and useful participation.
Cons: The high volume of questions coming through daily was a challenge. The sheer quantity sometimes felt overwhelming, making it difficult to maintain focus and diligence. Related to this volume, I found it often challenging to provide unique, thoughtful comments that were distinct from previous answers, leading to repetition and potential review fatigue.

I enjoyed it! I thought it was a great way to keep track of performance throughout the year. As mentioned above, I would recommend including project specific questions so there's a record of more concrete things that went on.
Pros: Integration with Slack made it incredibly easy to respond. I also enjoyed being able to track my own stats.
Cons: Some of the questions felt like repeats of the same point, and were a little bit vague. I think there is an opportunity to include more specific questions.

Good tool. The Teams plugin is a good idea; it saves time. It would be nice to have an option to remove closed surveys from Teams conversation as an option.
Pros: Nice tool saving time by regularly sending surveys about employee performance, allowing giving feedback to employees quite easily, with privacy options to make it anonymous or visible.
Cons: It does not allow for giving feedback via Teams proactively. It would be nice to let's say write @Name Surname and just start writing feedback that would be processed later by AI (categorization, etc.)

WorkStory is a good option for companies modernizing their performance review process. This allows to shift from infrequent, manual reviews to a system of automated, consistent feedback. The AI-powered summarization and seamless integration within existing communication tools, saves time and provide managers with valuable data-driven insights. Additionally, I for one would like to welcome out new AI overlords.
Pros: A big plus for using this app is the convenience of customization options, in essence which method of contact and notifications works best for you. This allows for feedback and surveys to be integrated within the communication tool that a person uses most often.
Cons: In my opinion, the biggest challenge is at the beginning, when one starts using the app. There is a bite of a learning curve, but the apps does have a user-friendly interface to learn the ins and outs.

So far, I've just participated in the free two week trial of the WorkStory software. However, that in and of itself is a huge feature. No other software that I found had a trial available and we don't have the time or budget to invest in something that ends up not being useful for our organization.
Pros: I love the "hands off" approach to performance evaluations. I also like that the software is designed to provide continual feedback, not just once a year.
Cons: I don't have any "cons" about WorkStory. I am looking forward to learning how to utilize all of its functions and reporting capabilities.

We are relatively new to this, and so far so good. Looking forward to when we expand our usage within the company.
Pros: I like how the messages appear in my 'Teams' environment, as I see that notification more frequently when it shows up. I also like that you may choose whether to submit anonymously or not.
Cons: It may be due the way we are set up, but answers have to be submitted on each question, rather than all with one 'submit'. But I could also see where if you want to be anonymous on one and not on the other, this would make sense.

Pros: I like that WorkStory gives you the chance to provide constructive feedback to your colleagues
Cons: I find that I get the same questions for the same people often.
Nicholas B. · Warehouse · Telecommunications · January 10, 2025
We use WorkStory to review each other and it brings a positive atmosphere to the workplace.
Pros: It’s great for spreading positivity in the workplace and is fun to do.
Cons: WorkStory has not given me any reason to not like it.
Kyle S. · AV Technician · Information Technology and Services · December 25, 2024
not great. too many emails and not very good questions
Pros: it's great to get reviews from your performance
Cons: the fact that I can see who reviewed me prevents people from giving a real review. the whole point is to give a honest review of others anonymously.
Liberato C. · tech · Information Technology and Services · December 2, 2024
Pros: Smooth and worth it to connect teams together at the company
Cons: I with there would be a fully anonymous feature
Elijah F. · Labor · Construction · October 11, 2024
My experience was good as I got used to the cadence and expectations of filling out answers to questions from my pears and team members.
Pros: The ability to take feedback gathered during the year and compose a review for your team members with the help of AI which generates the initial review and edit into a personal review. This allows for more accurate information as the source and the outcome is a quality review in less time.
Cons: It will take some time to get the system setup for the appropriate cadence, but once that time is taken for tailoring to the needs of the team and is streamlined for quick feedback events, it becomes a very useful tool.
Rob C. · Managing Director International · Computer Software · October 8, 2024
Very positive, I recently started using it and am very pleased by being able to see feedback and also feel like my opinions matter.
Pros: I like that I don't have to wait a whole year to receive feedback about my performance, and also the fact that it asks a variety of coworkers and compiles the reviews is extremely helpful since it serves as a record of my performance.
Cons: I think that the questions should be more tailored to each person's role and relationship.

Overall, the goal of the Workstory tool is good and the idea to make year-end reviews more measureable is definitely something HR representatives stuggle with. But the execution and platform should be more accessible and easily understood by the user - the employees - so that they look forward to seeing the feedback received rather than spending half the time looking for where the reviews are.
Pros: The ability to rate your colleagues easily with the star rating system
Cons: The user interface - the dashboard could be improved for seamless browsing. For example, what's the difference between home and dashboard? People can be reworded as Team Members, there's shouldn't be this may tabs for my personal profile, organisation/hierarchy can fall under people/team members rather than it being a whole other dropdown. The filters under the dahsboard has a loophole where if i select filter by managers, I can see what my manager has reviewed about me, even though they say it's anonymous (defeating the anonymous feature); likewise with other filters. The different tabs under the dashboard can be moved as a drop down on the side panel, also the user profile tab is the same as the personal information tab. What does each emoji mean on the score (analytics)? How is the analytics measured?
Caitlyn L. · Programs Executive · Government Relations · August 20, 2024
Pros: The real time update, rather than annual performance reviews.
Cons: How it can impact the performance negatively if not used correctly or ethically. Lots of gaps / opportunities with the tool but parameters are missing.
Hiloni A. · Sr. Project Engineer · Construction · July 26, 2024
Pros: Opens the door for review between peers and hire-ups
Cons: the option to leave someone anonymous feedback.
Kaalen B. · Project Engineer · Construction · July 18, 2024
Simple use of reviewing other employees. Haven't used this type of software before so I cannot compare it to others.
Pros: Very simple to navigate. I have never gotten lost using the functions.
Cons: Nothing Yet. Still new and only doing the reviews.
Tommy T. · AV Technician · Information Technology and Services · June 28, 2024
So far, I like it. I can see how this will help track issues that can be used for training.
Pros: I like that it gives a continuing story for assessment that can be tracked during the year instead of being forgotten until review time comes again. In order to grow you need to be able to track what is going on. This looks like the solution.
Cons: There is nothing that I have seen so far that I do not like.. I am having a little trouble understanding the numeric rating though..
Joseph W. · Superintendent · Construction · June 18, 2024
Pros: Workstory is a platform that promotes growth in our team and gives us valuable feedback about how to improve our business and service. It was easy to set up and [sensitive content hidden] was very helpful.
Cons: At first l, although there was many videos to help staff figure out the platform, it was hard to get buy-in about the platform.
Michelle D. · Owner and operator · Food & Beverages · June 17, 2024
Overall, providing real time feedback to coworkers and team members has been extremely easy.
Pros: The ease of use and timely snippets of feedback that can be provided to team members in real time.
Cons: Nothing thus far has been observed while using WorkStory.
Greg N. · Business Unit Leader · Facilities Services · June 15, 2024
My overall experience has been great so far, no complaints
Pros: I admire workstory on the fact that it monitors your performance and shares comments work story for how you should improve in your job
Cons: I do not like the fact that everyone in the organization can access your personal stuff, like example, the comments
Siphosethu T. · Junior IoT Engineer · Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing · May 21, 2024
Overall the review process has been expedited and much more efficient.
Pros: I like the fact that it is easy to use and it is almost seamless with its incorporation to teams and other software's.
Cons: At the beginning the number of workstory notifications were a bit high but it adjusted over time.
