Overall, it's good software. Customer support has been good. It's reliable and easy to use. The interface is pretty intuitive.
Pros: It's stable- works well. It is fairly intuitive to use, especially after the initial learning period. Though to be fair, the initial learning time for me was 7 years ago, and there have been some improvements since then.
Cons: The cost has risen significantly over the past couple of years and is now very expensive for me as a solo practitioner with a small business. I think there should be a lower cost for 1 license. I use the desktop widget and I don't like the new version nearly as much as the old one. This one is easier to make mistakes iwth.

We previously used PCLaw for our billing software, but it was a legacy product with little or no customer support. TimeSolv made it easy to transition our data from PCLaw to their platform and has provided great customer support as needed.
Pros: Transition from our antiquated billing software was not difficult, user interface is easy to learn. Customer support is an actual human being
Cons: Figuring out how to send an invoice for a retainer. Connecting clients to the payment portal is sometimes cumbersome.

Very satisfied. I have also helped other colleagues in getting on board and set up with Counsel Link based on how I was taught in the beginning.
Pros: Easy to track time, develop invoices and compatibility with Counsel Link for uploads. Staff support is excellent.
Cons: At first was hard to get started with getting invoices into Counsel Link because of Counsel Link idiosyncrasies. The TimeSolve reps worked with me for a couple of hours to get things working. Once we got Counsel Link to accept an invoice, I have used that template for many more matters without a flaw. The TimeSolve team was excellent and I haven't had any issues since the initial set up which was over 5 years ago. As I am a 1 person business, I do it all and never having done such submissions before, I found Time Solve to be an excellent experience.

Easy and pleasant. Other platforms require so much management to make the software work, and make it hard to add time, make it hard to send bills because if you don't do it in the right manner, the bill is not going to be correct. To sum it up, I would say, easy, clean and pleasant - that it allows TimeSolv to be an afterthought, in a good way.
Pros: It is intuitive and easy to use. I really like the "search time" feature which lets you quickly see how much time you have in a client's case without having to create an invoice. It is every easy to add time whether you are on the main calendar or focusing on a matter individually. The customer support spoils you in the era of chat bots, because someone is either picking up the phone every time, or they have someone who is able to walk you through your issue with a computer to computer link so you can learn how to address your issue. That quick resolution creates efficiency and prevents problems from lingering. The cost is less than most other clunkier time management platforms I have used. It keeps you from feeling like you need to make money to pay for a billing platform.
Cons: I'm not totally sure I grasp how to keep adding time for a flat fee - but that may be user error. I wish there was a way, which sounds crazy, I know, to keep from having the bill automatically sent to the client by email, even though I like having the email system. The only reason I say that is there are times I want to go over the bill with the client in person if they are coming in to explain it to them - rather than them see a bill in the email first when I think they may have questions on it. The work around is to take the email out. I realize why it's in there - but it's a small issue.

Very pleased with TimeSolv. Very happy I purchased it. The transfer of data from my previous billing program was a little involved, but that was the fault of the previous billing program, not TimeSolv.
Pros: Easy to navigate, easy to use, fast. I enjoy entering time and using the software. Support personnel are very responsive and answer my questions in a timely manner.
Cons: Unable to print invoices without payments showing. I really don't have any complaints about TimeSolv Legal Billing besides this.
Christine T. · Office Manager, Bookkeeper · Law Practice · October 16, 2025
TimeSolv allows you the ability to efficiently track time, generate invoices, and manage the billing process. Customer service is a bonus
Pros: TimeSolv is very user-friendly with its options, the overall interface and straightforward navigation for time entry, billing, and invoicing
Cons: The cons of TimeSolv are that there are some issues with supposed customization options as well as the ability to get up and running quickly

It has been a good experience. They were helpful in setting up the program and in answering questions along the way.
Pros: It is easy to use and gives great overall view of a month's time and billing.
Cons: I wish there was a way to integrate with Yahoo mail.
Candace S. · Legal Assistant · Legal Services · April 8, 2025
My overall experience has been very positive.
Pros: I have used several companies' billing software over the years of practicing law. Timesolv provides the most user friendly program I have used.
Cons: The reports that I need could be easier to review.
Gregory J. · Managing Partner · Law Practice · February 12, 2025
Terrible company. No customer support.
Pros: The problem I had is that when i closed my firm the company would not acknowledge my contact with them and they would not stop billing my corprate credit card.
Cons: They over charged my firm by about 5 months.

EXCEPTIONAL IN ALL REGARDS. There was a learning curve (as with all new systems), and I am continuing to learn, but [sensitive content hidden] have been with us every step of the way...from setting up our invoices to integrations with QuickBooks. The program itself is also very intuitive, which makes errors easy to avoid. For our firm (small-4 members) and needs, the reports are excellent, and easily enable us to gather all information we need each month.
Pros: Ease of use and EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. We have been with TimeSolv for appx. 1 year after using a different system for decades. While all customer service is exceptional, [sensitive content hidden] have been our primary go-tos for all questions. WONDERFUL experience.
Cons: No cons....much better than our prior program.

Disappointing.
Pros: Daily time entries, but even that has at least one remaining bug.
Cons: Support level.
Joseph B. · Managing Member · Accounting · June 13, 2024
This company is not competent enough to handle our business. They want a bunch personal information from you but when pinned down on why, they have no idea. Just a bunch of drones checking off on a box. When you ask them for a copy of their data protection privacy policies, they clearly have no idea what that is or refuse to provide it. Most likely they are selling your private information to the lowest bidder. When you confront them about, very hostile. I am so glad we caught on to this nightmare before we really started working with them.
Pros: I don't! Please don't waste your time. Very unlikely you will get past the setup process.
Cons: The company's support and ability to completely waste our time.
Brandon S. · President · Accounting · January 31, 2024
Overall, great experience, but that experience has only been great because of the customer support/service I received from specialists such as [sensitive content hidden]. They make TimeSolv a great option for legal billing, because they go above and beyond to help you.
Pros: Ease of learning the system Zoom meetings with specialists to help OUTSTANDING customer service by specialists mentioned above Easy to send invoices Easy to split invoices
Cons: The general link to schedule an online meeting with a specialist was one of my favorite features, and it has recently been removed from the site. Now, it's not as easy to schedule meetings when you need assistance.
Ilene N. · Law Firm Administrator · Legal Services · January 23, 2024
frustrating. The report function is critical to how partners are compensated, but not being able to confirm amounts makes it all suspect. Support is not very helpful in this area.
Pros: Inputting time, after some fits and starts, is reasonably straightforward and invoicing is good. We used Timeslips before converting and Timesolv is fine
Cons: Getting meaningful reports is nearly impossible. When I run a report I need to verify the numbers - typically running a different report that should tie-in. They don't tie-in and the support is inadequate. I am told it is because they are different data points, but nowhere is there an explanation. And there are elements that don't make sense, at least to me. For instance, if a client pays a bill which is for more than one matter, each allocation shows the whole check amount and then the allocation. Fine, but why would one need a total of the same check counted multiple times? If a client pays $5,000 and it gets allocated to two matters, the payment total for the client shows $10,000. A cash receipts report shows credit memos as a receipt, which is added to the total received. Last I looked, a credit memo was not a cash item. I also see some payments being counted twice. No one can explain to me why.

I used to suffer from system crashes, corrupt data cells, and print failures. Not anymore
Pros: I run an established legal research and consulting service. I switched to TimeSolv after using the same PC based software for over 20 years. After the bugs in the ancient software became too much to handle, a friend recommended TimeSolv. I can't say enough good things about this application. The set up and conversion fo my data was a breeze, thanks to their conversion team. The app is super easy to use. I cut my invoice generation time by 2/3 and it is super easy to enter time on the go, whether at my PC or on my phone. The customer service and support is outstanding. Highly recommend
Cons: I don't use the trust accounting features yet, but will if the circumstances warrant.
Christopher S. · Principal · Legal Services · September 13, 2023
All the support from TimeSolv is incredible and without the nickel and diming. They are very responsive to all my questions and issues. This is a far better timekeeping system than TimeSlips. The conversion was efficient and excellent; no problems whatsoever. I love the ease of use. I jumped right in without much of a learning curve.
Pros: Very intuitive; easy to use and navigate. Great value for the cost
Cons: I have no cons to report thus far. Any issues I had with say, invoicing, were handled through their extenstive resource section and support.
Kelly K. · LEGAL ASSISTANT · Law Practice · September 12, 2023
I regret paying ahead of time for a full year. I would have canceled with-in the first month. Be careful as they will automatically charge your account and they will not follow their own terms and conditions.
Pros: Nothing really, this system made my billing worse, and it actually put be 4 months behind on my billing. Horrible experience
Cons: Their invoicing, customer service, when you schedule an online meeting, they never show up, you have contacted the manager to receive any assistance, you get different answers from different people. They are unable to give refunds or credit you back for things you should not have been billed for.
Alterraon P. · Owner · Law Practice · September 8, 2023
Pros: It's easy to boot up, easy to use, easy to call up client matters for billing, has a lot of features that come in handy.
Cons: It's a little difficult to figure out what you've already billed on a particular matter, as it seems you have to actually create an invoice to see that info and then delete the invoice once you've reviewed what you want to review.
Gerald H. · Lawyer · Law Practice · September 7, 2023
Excellent!!! See ratings
Pros: I used to use TimeSlips and would have so many frustrations and errors when sending bills. This system has been a dream for the last 5+ years. It is easy to use (I am not a techy but was able to set it up by myself), simple to input time, and tracking and invoice reviews are a cinch. Love this billing program!!! And the price is insanely reasonable!! Most of all, the customer service is the best in the business. We just miss [sensitive content hidden]!
Cons: -It does not flag past due invoices like TimeSlips did (over 30, 60 etc), so I wouldn't know if I didn't look- There have been glitches with trying to input multiple email addresses for receiving the invoices- Sometimes payments do not show on the invoice. Don't know why. They are recorded but not reflected- When you duplicate a flat rate, it zeroes out the price so we have inadvertently not billed someone for something due to this- We can't figure out how to work the annual billing auto feature for renewals on certain services
patricia b. · Owner/Lawyer · Law Practice · August 26, 2023
My overall experience has been excellent. It is the best billing program I have used.
Pros: The time entries and expense entries are very easy to use. Generating invoices are also easy and very flexible. These critical functions are easy to use.
Cons: There are times that the answer to a question or problem are not easy to find. It is more difficult to eliminate a matter or client than it should be.
Jeffrey E. · Attorney · Law Practice · August 25, 2023
I have only been using the program for 3 months of billing. I expect that over time I will tweak it to work better for me.
Pros: It had more options of similar programs for customizing the bill formate.
Cons: It has lots of options. I have not explored all of them. I expect to in the future and tweak the program to work better for me. On the con side, so may options make it difficult to set up in the first instance.
Robert A. · Attorney · Law Practice · August 23, 2023
Billing with this program is easy. I like the mass billing, but I don't use it much as I still have to change the files before I submit to insurance companies to comply with their billing standards.
Pros: This product was easy to setup, customer service is great as well. Producing invoices was easy which made the switch seamless.
Cons: I would like to see more form document choices. I came from using Amicus and the choices of codes I had to create form documents was great. I can't create many form documents with the choices I have. I feel that would give this product more marketability. Less time spent on a document that is going to get a write down once submitted to the insurance company for help many attorneys and their staff.

This program streamlines Time Entries with Billing and Invoicing.
Pros: Creating Invoice Drafts, tracking payments and printing reports by Client are my favorite features of this program.
Cons: Takes a little time, trial and error to figure out, but Customer Support has been excellent, expecially [sensitive content hidden]. .
Bethany W. · Assistant · Law Practice · August 22, 2023
Pros: I have used several different programs over the years. Timesolv is the most user friendly of any of those I have ever used.
Cons: Some of the management tools are hidden a bit and take some time to discover and learn.
Sharla F. · Owner · Law Practice · August 22, 2023
The best move I could have made.
Pros: The interface is so much better than Timeslips. So much more user friendly.
Cons: the only minor complaint I have is lack of reports for a total overview of a client/case/
