QuickBooks Solopreneur

Pros: QuickBooks connects directly to my business account making it accurate and easy to use. I can create invoices in real time and email those to buyers and buyer agents. Customers can pay me directly through the electronic invoice. I’m about to track vehicle mileage with in-app tracking as well as create specific trips for my Home Inspection business. My business accountant has direct access to assist with categorizing expenses. I’m able to create reports and track expenses easily. The reporting process is educational and easy to follow for a small business. I feel secure using QuickBooks.

Cons: I’m not a fan of having some of the pre-set expense categories. When i use my business bank card the software guesses the expense category and I have to go back in and change them.

Pros: We use this for our bookkeeping and accounting needs for our small business, it helps us to maintain security of our transactions and to keep up to date with payments and receivables. It is still a learning curve for us but it seems easy to use for our accountant

Cons: I am not great at navigating it but after all i don't do the books or bookkeeping at my business. I would like to learn more

Pros: It is extremely user friendly. It has an amazing all in one platform that helped me manage all my payments, finances, taxes and more. The user interface is simple. Perfect for my small business.

Cons: I did not have any issues with it so I wouldn't say there are any cons. It obviously had to be something to learn but it was easy to do so.

Pros: Excellent for Schedule C prep, estimating quarterly taxes, and identifying deductions. Easy expense tracking with receipt capture and bank linking. Good enough for early learners.

Cons: Lacks advanced features like custom categories, tags, or deep transaction searching found in other QuickBooks versions.

Pros: Being self-employed having this software helps tremendously in streamlining my business operations from invoice to accounting.

Cons: There's a bit of a learning curve if you've never utilized software like this but it's relatively easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Pros: QuickBooks is easy to use, is an updated platform with many ways to connect with other projects and made it very accessible for me to learn invoicing for my company

Cons: It can have bugs and updates from time to time that slow down systems and prevent us from getting the number of invoices we want to each day accomplished

Pros: The learning curve was not to bad for a first time user. I would highly recommend taking a class yearly so you can keep up to date on all of its functions and features.

Cons: I’m just not as happy with the mobile device functions as I could be. All functions on a desktop should be available on the application of a mobile device whether it be a tablet or a phone.

Pros: QuickBooks offers a wide range of functions that help organize the company’s operations, including managing invoices, payments, and inventory.

Cons: The program doesn’t have an auto-save feature, so accidentally pressing the wrong keys can cause it to close and result in the loss of all entered data.

Pros: It's great value and has everything I need as a sole trader starting up a new business. It's easy to get your head around and creating products, services and invoices is super straight forward. I love how I can link my bank account to it.

Cons: I wish there were more features to tailor to my needs and to integrate other apps/services like GoCardless. However that's quite a big ask considering how cheap the subscription is.

Pros: This was the easiest version of Quickbooks for someone like myself who struggles to learn new software!

Cons: The Help features were not as easy to learn how to use the program as other help features in other programs

Pros: It connected to my bank account as well for direct feed, it provided some basic accounting to help get me started. The app was reasonably easy to use.

Cons: It didn’t have enough features to support my business as it grew so I needed to change software when I brought on a bookkeeper

Pros: It's easy and efficient once you get the hang of it. I had a little trouble at first, but since thenI have had minimal issues.

Cons: Was a little confusing at first and a little hard to follow, but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty easy and very convenient.

Pros: I don't have any pros for this software. My issue could simply be the need for more training on how to use this software. I've only been using this software for 3-4 months.

Cons: I don't like this software so much. It isn't so user friendly (for me).

Pros: It helps me keep tabs on my income & is great for freelancers or any solo-entrepreneurs!

Cons: Switching services could be a hassle, if you think you may need to upgrade I'd start with that version!

Pros: This product makes it easy to keep up with our business. We like the reports we are able to pull, not just a P and L. It lets us get as specific as we can. We like the classes and tags.

Cons: It’s not super intuitive. There was more of a learning curve than what we planned on.
