Very helpful team at LiveFlow and excellent tool to increase internal efficiency. Overall 10/10 experience with LiveFlow
Pros: LiveFlow significantly cuts down on the time it takes each month to update financial models with the latest data from Quickbooks. Changes to accounts on QBO flow through easily in the model without extra fuss. The ability to update reports on your desired cadence is extremely helpful. Drill down is an all time feature! No more going back and forth between models and QBO to dig deeper on any figures. Lastly, the onboarding team at LiveFlow was very pleasant to work with.
Cons: No significant downsides, but the software does come with a bit of a learning curve. Well worth the effort!

Fantastic product and, for the few times I've needed it, very responsive customer service. Would highly recommend.
Pros: Liveflow is a fantastic addition to bookkeeping and accounting workflow. Yes, it is expensive, even more expensive than QBO itself. HOWEVER, it pays for itself in both productivity and accuracy. Manual data entry is reduced and typos and “fat fingering” are eliminated. If QBO is correct, then your custom-created reports are correct. It does take some time to get the most out of it – but once set up it works great. You can pull raw data from QBO and then use it to create various dashboards and reports. And you can also use it to pull full financial statements and then create dashboards that pull right from there. Great product. And the few times I’ve needed customer service, they’re quite responsive. Highly recommended.

Cons: It's a bit expensive. The price was a shocker but that's because we signed up when they were new. Multiples companies don't seem to provide any discount so we only use it with one entity.

Liveflow has been a game-changer for us because we send out many reports every month, often in a short time span. Many of our reports are consolidating multi-entity organizations. After the initial setup is complete, our clients can access their report at any time to view up-to-date financial data—no need to request or wait for a newly generated report.
Pros: Liveflow saves a significant amount of time sending out financial reports. It's really great if you're working with several organizations. One of the most useful things for me is consolidating multi-entity organizations.
Cons: The initial setup took some time, but I think that's true with any software. I'm specifically referring to mapping the chart of accounts in multi-entity organizations. Single-entity organizations has a much faster setup.

Pros: The ease of use and real time updates that make closing our clients super easy every month. The plug into Sheets is a gamechanger for our team.
Cons: I'm hoping they continue to build out some sort of subledger or an easier way to drill down into the QBO transactions. That piece is a little too clunky/slow still.
Dave K. · Partner · Accounting · July 8, 2025
Pros: LiveFlow eliminates manual spreadsheet updates by syncing real-time data from QuickBooks into Google Sheets. This saves hours each month, reduces errors, and gives us faster, cleaner financial reporting. We use it to automate monthly close, consolidate multi-entity financials, and build dashboards that update automatically.
Cons: The UX could be a bit more modern. I also wish the reports were a bit more customizable. Not much to dislike about a tool that saves me hours every month.
Jory D. · Senior Manager, Finance · Internet · July 8, 2025
LiveFlow is easy to use and allows access to detailed information per line item, I don't have to sign into QBO. It's GREAT!
Pros: I like that it's integrated into googlesheets, that I don't have to log into QBO to see the information. It's all right there!!
Cons: I am happy with LiveFlow, there's nothing we don't like about the product. It's very useful to our Team!

LiveFlow solves the problem of manual, time-consuming financial reporting. Before using LiveFlow, I was constantly exporting data from QuickBooks Online and copying it into Google Sheets, then double-checking formulas and reformatting everything each time I needed an update. Now, LiveFlow automates that entire process—pulling real-time data directly into my reports and dashboards. This saves me hours each month, reduces the risk of manual errors, and gives me more confidence that I’m looking at the most accurate, up-to-date numbers. It also makes it easier to share reports with my team and leadership, since everything stays current without extra work. It’s made my reporting faster, smarter, and a lot less stressful.
Pros: LiveFlow has completely transformed the way I handle reporting. It seamlessly connects Google Sheets and QuickBooks Online, saving me hours every month on manual data pulls and updates. The automation has made my workflow significantly more efficient, and their templates are incredibly helpful—easy to use and built for real business needs.
Cons: My only gripe is the sync timing. While it does sync automatically, I’m not sure when or how often—so I often end up manually syncing just to be sure I’m looking at the most up-to-date numbers. It’d be great to have more visibility or control over the sync schedule. Still, it’s an incredibly powerful tool and one I’d highly recommend to anyone looking to streamline financial reporting.

Very happy to use Liveflow for our monthly consolidation - it has helped saved so much manual time and effort. The team is always quick to respond to any glitches/issues that may arise (showing their understanding of urgency of month end!). Highly recommend Liveflows if you are still manually consolidating your accounts. Looking forward to see what Liveflows brings in the future as they move into different areas (FP&A/Budgeting)
Pros: - Consolidation of monthly accounts at a simple click - Shortcuts to help start the following month - Quick, responsive team
Cons: - Limited with Xero compared to Quickbooks. Some areas the Xero integration does not have compared to Quickbooks (the transaction by transaction breakdown etc).

Pros: How much time it saves our firm every month, we used to have to manually pull numbers for 100+ clients and now we save all that time because of Liveflow
Cons: The setup requires a little attention to detail but no more than any other software needs. Not really a con
Hanna R. · Onboarding Manager · Accounting · July 3, 2025
I have had a great experience with Liveflow. Customer support always promptly responds to any issues that may arise.
Pros: I love the vast selection of dashboards provided by Liveflow. The data visualization is appreciated by clients.
Cons: There are some reports that are exclusive to Google sheets over Excel. It would be nice to have access to all reports across platforms.
Ashley S. · Accounting Manager · Accounting · July 3, 2025
Accounting Team integrated liveflow, gave us a tutorial how to 'drill down' and access information. We're more independent now and able to access detailed financials without bugging the accounting team, or giving staff multiple logins.
Pros: Seemless integration, ease of accessing detailed info. We are able to see detailed financials without giving our staff access to QBO,etc
Cons: There's nothing we don't like about LiveFlow, it is a very helpful tool for our team. It is reliable.
Melissa T. · Interim ED · Non-Profit Organization Management · July 3, 2025
Overall it is excellent and helps us gather information quickly in a timely manner. It is a value overall.
Pros: Ease of use, the program brings in critical financial information that helps us organize and compare info.
Cons: There is room for improvement in the UI - the interactions and menus could be a little more spaced out.
Joseph V. · Controller - Finance Manager · Accounting · July 3, 2025
Overall solid. It gives us a new tool to deliver better service to our clients. It's easy to implement makes it seamless with Google Sheets.
Pros: LiveFlow lets us build reports for our clients that get them real time data. Instead of waiting 10-15 days for month end reports, we now build flash reports that they can look at daily with up to date info. LiveFlow also removes friction in the reporting process which is always a win.
Cons: At first the cost could seem high since you may not be used to paying for a reporting tool. But once it is in your process, it's difficult to think about not using it.
James M. · Accounting Lead · Accounting · July 3, 2025
Overall, LiveFlow is a great tool for finance people who need to extract data quickly from QBO on a regular basis.
Pros: LiveFlow makes it really to easy to extract information from QBO. It has allowed the team to automate reporting, which saves us a lot of time every month.
Cons: There are not a lot of high-quality dashboards. The dashboards either lack a modern look/feel or they are too specialized for specific industries, which make them not useful for us.
Matt K. · CFO Advisor · Accounting · July 3, 2025
Pros: LiveFlow saves me 2-3 hours per client each month and produces higher quality reports than I would be able to create on my own with the new Dashboards feature. It's infinitely customizable and can be tailored exactly how you want it with enough tinkering. No integration issuse so far across Quickbooks Online, Xero, Google Sheets or Excel and customer support has been hepful every time I have a question. Highly recommend for other Fractional CFOs or even for individual finance teams looking to uplevel their reporting workflow.
Cons: It's on the pricier side, but well worth the investment if you have the clients. There is also a non-trivial lift on the front end to get your reporting set up exactly how you want it, but this would be the case with any similar tool. The one missing feature for me is NetSuite integration.
Lucas M. · President · Financial Services · July 3, 2025
LiveFlow is a great product. It works as designed, allows you to use templated reports to build something fully customized to your needs, and is easy to use. I would recommend it to anybody doing fractional CFO work or advising their clients regularly
Pros: LiveFlow works great, it integrates QBO with either Google Sheets or Excel, which is helpful as you may have clients using either software so you are not limited in how you can serve them. The dashboards are also a great feature, however I wish it wasn't an upcharge to use them. It's great to be able to provide your clients a link to a clean dashboard that they can reference whenever they want and it will be updated as long as the QBO file is updated.
Cons: The biggest downside to LiveFlow is the price. It's not the cheapest option out there, and while I feel the software is worth it if you are charging appropriate fees to your clients for your services, what I don't like is how there are added fees for new features. Want to be able to use dashboard feature? You get one free then have to pay. Want to be able to do consolidates? Thats extra.
Ryan E. · Owner · Accounting · July 3, 2025
LiveFlow has been an instrumental part of our CFO services. We're able to provide customized dashboards that look very clean.
Pros: Real time insights and customized dashboards. We use the web-based dashboards for our smaller clients and build custom dashboards in Google Sheets for larger ones. Very helpful tool.
Cons: At first we had some challenges with the Google Sheets extension but it was resolved quickly by their team.
Roger N. · Accounting Manager · Accounting · July 3, 2025
Pros: I like the functionality of sharing with teammates and the ease of sharing. The software is still very new to my organization and we are still learning
Cons: it feels like it was built with mostly the finance team in mind which I would like for it to be a bit easier for non-finance team members
Jaylyn N. · Operations Manager · Computer Software · July 2, 2025
Very enjoyable. There is a lot of work that I need to get done daily, and I do not have the time for some of the smaller tasks anymore. With LiveFlow, the systems can be automated, leaving me with more time to handle other obligations.
Pros: The onboarding process and how helpful the staff is. They are extremely welcoming and are very hands on with learning their systems.
Cons: Learning the AI. Although the team is very helpful with teaching and training, learning the AI took some time. It helps with writing new formulas needed for automation, but the trouble solving process with it can sometime be frustrating.
Cruise T. · Hub Manager · Accounting · July 2, 2025
LiveFlows been a huge help for our team. We used to spend so much time pulling reports manually but now it all updates live in Google Sheets! Took a little time to figure out how to setup the templates right, but support was super helpful. Bit pricey for small teams, but honestly worth it for the time it saves. Def recommend!
Pros: Easy to set up, incredibly useful. LiveFlow makes reporting and forecasting so much smoother. We no longer export reports manually—everything’s automated and accurate.
Cons: It works great, but pricing can get high for small teams. Would love to see a more affordable tier in the future.

Hello! I was new to using LiveFlow, but I have to admit that using it is very intuitive. It is very easy to implement, customer service is fast and excellent. I use the software for presentations and frequently use the dashboards. There are many features and I am learning something new all of the time. The best part, is that LiveFlow integrates very easy with QuickBooks.
Pros: Liveflow quickly and easily populates our financial information that allows us more time for analysis and less time for preparation. I highly recommend this tool.
Cons: I haven't found anything yet that I do not like about the tool. Its easy to use and very intuitive. I wish I had discovered this sooner.
Johnny R. · Controller · Accounting · July 2, 2025
Overall, fantastic. They solved an issue my company had that we struggled finding a reasonably cost effective solution without major overhauls of accounting processes.
Pros: The seamless integration of multiple companies accounted for in Quickbooks makes this product highly effective in closing, consolidation, and reviewing performance.
Cons: LiveFlow switches occasionally between feeling like its own platform vs an addition to sheets/excel. UI has gotten much better, but often times am directed to help pages a bit too much
Will D. · Corporate Development Analyst - CPA · Hospital & Health Care · July 2, 2025
It is great, I am loving the growth the company has had and I hope they continue to add value. The software is easy to use and my "complaints" are really nitpicky
Pros: It is easy to use and saves a ton of time in the review process for my clients. The integration from QBO to Google Sheets is fantastic.
Cons: I wish it was easier to integrate into dashboards I already have for my clients. I like their premade templates but I already have some set up and haven't been able to get them fully linked up yet.
Treacy D. · Accountant · Accounting · July 2, 2025
LiveFlow has transformed how we manage financial reporting and budgeting. We use it to sync QuickBooks data into Excel, giving us real-time visibility and control. It’s reliable, easy to use, and has become a core part of our finance workflow.
Pros: The amount of manual work I used to have to do is gone. Set it up, and then it just works. Can't live without it anymore.
Cons: Works better with Google Sheets than Microsoft Excel. We are a Microsoft shop, but then it feels like more development is happening there.
Jamison W. · Chief Strategy Officer · Computer Software · July 2, 2025
Pros: LiveFlow is honestly a lifesaver if you’re tired of manually updating spreadsheets every month. It connects your QuickBooks data directly to Google Sheets and keeps everything updated in real time, so no more downloading files or chasing down numbers. I use it to track financials across multiple clients, and it’s made reporting way easier and faster. The templates are super helpful, setup is quick, and the support team is actually responsive. If you live in spreadsheets and want to save time (and sanity), definitely give it a try.
Cons: The main downside with LiveFlow is that it’s pretty dependent on Google Sheets—so if your team prefers Excel or another tool, it’s not as useful. Also, while it’s powerful, the pricing might be a bit steep for smaller teams or solo consultants. And like any automation tool, there’s a bit of a learning curve at first to get everything set up exactly how you want it. Once it’s running, though, it’s smooth sailing.
