Pros: It's nice that you can store the supporting documents easily on each transaction. I also like that it's easy to process payment directly from Bill.com rather than having to set up a separate card or ACH transaction. I like that you can have an inbox where bills go to be reviewed and that it tries to auto populate the basic bill information (though not always correctly).
Cons: If you have a high volume of bills, sometimes the payment processing can be annoying for a single vendor if you're selecting multiple bills that aren't in sequence. It's easy to do this on the home 'unpaid bills' screen, but for whatever reason if you're on the actual vendor screen, the ability to select individual bills to pay isn't the same as on the home 'unpaid bills' screen that has every vendor. Also -- and this applies to any integration, not just Bill.com -- but if you aren't careful it is fairly easy to get out of sync with your accounting software (e.g. if you enter an adjustment in accounting software but not Bill.com). You'll need to do frequent reconciliations or just accept that Bill.com is more of a tool than a source of truth.

Our experience has been wonderful. Transitioning our workflow from paper to electronic has been a true game changer for our leadership team!
Pros: Bill has been one of the best platforms added to our organization in the past decade. It links directly to our accounting system so all of our financial reporting is updated real-time for any invoices added to bill. Bank transactions have been significantly reduced making reconciliations a breeze. Additionally, the workflow enables all invoices to have the appropriate approvals for policy compliance and made tracking down check signers obsolete! Given the time savings alone the small price we pay for processing is a great value and is far less than the cost of time, check stock and postage. Vendors manage their own accounts, which is amazing in and of itself. The onboarding process for them is very simple and requires very little interaction to get them up and running. We have had to reach out to customer support a few times and our problems ended up being a minor bug or issue that was quickly resolved. Ten out of ten a great product.

Cons: Minor dislike - I just can't get used to the name transition from bill.com to bill. The other thing I do not love is that we renamed our dimensions in our accounting system and unfortunately that doesn't translate to bill. We have retrained ourselves so it is not a big issue, but on our wish list for modifications.

We are mostly pleased with Bill AP&AR. On occasion I experience trouble escalating support issues to a timely resolution. There are a few missing features from approval policies I would like added.
Pros: Streamlined processes. Intuitive processes. Customizable integration settings. Ability to track payments.
Cons: Inability to merge original platform set up to unified platform. Process necessary to follow vendor virtual card payments.

Bill is great and we use it along with Dext and Divvy for accounts AP and AR, invoicing and bill payment.
Pros: Bill is a great software to keep track of bill payments, AR, AP, customer invoicing and payments, running reports and has great customer support.
Cons: Bill can be costly as it has many additional software's and features that work with it but all are worth the money, Bill is better for larger scale businesses.

Overall, BILL was great when it came to payroll and keeping thing organized when getting paid for gigs.
Pros: BILL was a great tool for both accounting and bookeeping, as it is what I used for a while regarding payroll from an old company I was with. It was great value for money in that the learning curve wasn't too severe and there were basically 0 bugs or issues. Highly recommend!
Cons: I think the thing I liked least was the customer support wasn't that easy to reach. I had a small bug early in my time using it and had to wait quite a while before getting help.

It was a positive experience, it was easy to navigate in either mobile or desktop browser, as well as the app.
Pros: Very easy to use and straightforward interface, at least using it as the invoice receiver. I like the organization tools.
Cons: I didn't like how it displayed too many columns on reports, which made it difficult to see if you need to take screenshots.

This was just a quick a using apple pay or cash app to receive fund but alot more secure for transactions and bank info.
Pros: This is a secure, user friendly and fast way to send and receive funds. I used this for the first and was nervous but the accuracy of notifications are amazing.
Cons: In order for me to request a link had to be shared with me first. Maybe this is how the company that I partnered with user it.
Catheryn S. · Cheer mom · Civic & Social Organization · February 3, 2026
Pros: I like that you can chat internally about a bill directly in the platform. I also like that you can view bills by vendor. There's a decent search functionality.
Cons: I dislike that there isn't a way to view PDFs without having to click into a particular invoice. If you could do that, to search for a particular invoice, that would be beneficial.

Pros: You can see the delivery status of paper checks sent out. This is not a feature offered by some competitors.
Cons: A lot of things. If you need customer support for any small or critical reasons, you are at the mercy of whom you're connected to. Expect to spend 10-20% of your work week with BILL support if you decide to use BILL.

This software is very use-friendly and customer service support is always very responsive and they follow up to ensure all reported issues are resolved.
Pros: The ease of navigation throughout the software is the best experience for me. This really helps me to be efficient with my time.
Cons: I have an issue with some notification emails. For some reason the tech team hasn't been able to figure out why I don't get notified every time a bill has been approved for payment. This directly impacts my efficiency and can be very frustrating, since I have to do a manual search for the vendor every time.
Syretha B. · Firm Administrator · Legal Services · November 26, 2025
Extremely disappointing. The vendor never received the money, we reported the issue right away, and support passed me between agents only to tell me a resolution would cost almost as much as the payment itself. A payment platform should protect businesses, not penalize them for system errors. We will not be using Bill.com again.
Pros: Honestly, nothing. We tried using the platform for a simple vendor payment, and even that turned into an unnecessary headache.
Cons: Terrible support policies. We sent a $125 payment to a vendor who appeared as fully set up on Bill.com. When the vendor said they don’t use Bill.com, we immediately requested a reversal. Bill.com wanted to charge a $90 fee to “attempt” a reversal with no guarantee we’d ever get our money back and said it could take 30–90 days. Being charged nearly the entire payment amount for their own system issue is unacceptable.

I think it's great, my overall experience was good. I never once had to reach out to customer service for any assistance
Pros: Accounting and Bookkeeping, Banking and Transactions, Email Communication, easy to use, Value for Money, can't ever remember needing to contact their customer support
Cons: Paying more for multiple seats of people you just need to approve stuff but don't actually use the software to do work.

I like how I can get my reimbursement in full without any commissions or cuts on my end. This makes using Bill easy for me and gives me a reason to continue using it.
Pros: I can get my money reimbursed very easily. I have an option of either paper check or direct deposit. It is flexible and fairly easy to set up the system.
Cons: I don't like how it is starting to implement AI and try to be more than it needs to be. I liked how it used to be simple but it is getting more unnecessarily complicated.
Philip M. · Branch Manager · Facilities Services · November 7, 2025
It was okay at first, but as soon as i processed the first payment i recieved an email stating that my account was closed with no further information
Pros: The ease of setup was great and simple. However after the initial setup, it was mediocre at best. I would not recommend.
Cons: The customer support was very unhelpful, as well as unresponsive in assisting me with information for understanding why my account was closed immediately after processing my first payment
Daia C. · Owner · Machinery · September 22, 2025
Pros: BILL has been a FANTASTIC choice for our company for our Credit Cards. It has streamlined our spend/expense workflow, integrates with Quickbooks Desktop, etc. It is easy to build and auto codes to the right expense account and class. They also matched our current cash-back rewards program!
Cons: None so far! We've been very pleased with BILL. There were a couple of errors when we first setup our integration, but their customer support was able to figure it out quickly.
Tiffany M. · Administrator · Hospital & Health Care · September 15, 2025
Report feature reduces manual task like invoicing, approval and payments. Integration with accounting softwares, Document management and collaboration, visibility and control make it a better option for businesses.
Pros: It handles AP and AR in one platform and syncs with other softwares. It highlights it’s features likeAI workflows, predictive cash flow, budget control and 2 way sync.
Cons: Pricing is little high for small businesses. Limited built-in accounting features. It takes more time for processing for payments most of the time.Approval workflow and integration can be complex to set up.

I regret switching our companies over to Bill.com but we are stuck for a moment since it is so time consuming to switch to a new payment platform. I was promised that all the functions regarding invoicing that are available in QB would be available in Bill.com and literally none of them are available. You have to manually update every recurring invoice anytime you adjust our invoice template. You have to manually receive payments because Bill.com does not receive updates from QB. Bill.com reuses invoice numbers which causes lots of confusion and errors. You cannot bundle services in your invoice. I cannot fathom that a company that has offered this service for more than 5 years has not worked harder at making it a better experience for their clients. I'm grateful that we have not switched our Payables over.
Pros: Low payment processing fees. There are very little pros to using Bill.com and outside of the low payment processing fees, it is terrible.
Cons: BILL Accounts Receivable has the most basic, bare bone features available and it is very apparent that the customer service is outsourced. It creates a lot of additional manual work to upkeep and there is not a lot of helpful reporting. During chats, if your page refreshes (which it does often) or you navigate elsewhere, you have to start the chat all over again.

Overall I have had a good experience.I love the automation, and how it's very easy to use. I would still like if it allowed me to customize my reports as per mu business needs
Pros: The best feature is it's automation. All the AP invoices were automatically processed. It also helped in maintenance of cash flow and timely payment of bills
Cons: The charge was a bit high for our needs. Moreover, faced issues with reporting. There was very little room for customization.

Cons: BILL.com suddenly closed my account after I submitted all required documents with no valid explanation—just a generic “we can terminate anytime” clause. This is a betrayal of trust and shows they don’t care about their customers or small businesses. Avoid this company at all costs. They’ll waste your time and shut you down without reason or recourse. Total disgrace.
Hovik G. · Owner · Food & Beverages · July 29, 2025
The app charged me a fee for instant transfer that I never agreed to, and the option to turn it off was broken. I spent over an hour on the phone, dealt with daily calls and two weeks of emails, only to hear, “We can’t refund.” Then, magically, the button started working again a week later — proving it was their fault all along. I didn’t choose this app —my company used it to pay me. But if I had a choice, I’d avoid it completely. Be careful. The business model seems to rely on small “mistakes” that most users won’t bother fighting over.
Pros: Honestly, I did not have a good experience with the BILL app. I found it frustrating to use, and it did not meet my needs. I’ve deleted the app and no longer require or want their services
Cons: Unfortunately, nothing stood out in a positive way. The app was difficult to use, customer service was unhelpful, and overall it caused more stress than it solved. I’ve since deleted it and will not be using BILL again.

It’s very organized and easy to use and I would definitely recommend it if you’re processing or receiving multiple payments
Pros: It’s easy to use and is user-friendly for multiple team members across the company making it a very valuable platform.
Cons: It sometimes doesn’t let you know how many approvals it’s waiting on in this delayed payment sometimes because of it
Char B. · Account director · Marketing and Advertising · July 22, 2025
Overall, I would say I am satisfied with Bill.com but there are a few major things that need to be worked on to be a 5 star service.
Pros: Functionality when it comes to paying vendors on time and a straightforward database for all vendors to find payments / invoice #'s
Cons: The customer service is not very intuitive and when it comes to making recommendations for features they are misleading.
Dru S. · Property Success Partner · Management Consulting · June 28, 2025
I LOVED THE PROGRAM. I REALLY CAN'T EXPRESS IT ENOUGH. WE USE IT WHEN WE HAVE TO SUBMIT EMPLOYEE REIMBUSMENTSD ALSO
Pros: THE FLEXIBILITY OF SETTING UP MONTHLY PAYMENT PLANS. THE IMMEDIATE UPDATES WHEN A PAYMENT WAS DECLINED
Cons: THERE WAS NOTHING I DISLIKED ABOUT THE SOFTWARE. IT WAS USER FRIENDLY THAT EVEN SOMEONE LIKE ME (COMPUTER ILLETERATE) COULD MANUEVER IT.
Vanessa C. · AR COORDINATOR · Medical Practice · June 26, 2025
Overall this is a great tool that I would recommend to others in the nonprofit industry as a way to manage invoicing and paying bills with full transparency for multiple bill approvers.
Pros: Bill is easy to use and the functionality of including different people to review and approve bills is high. Cloud-based means that the work can get done securely from anywhere.
Cons: The sync to Quickbooks Online can sometimes make small mistakes that have to be caught and fixed. This is rare but time-consuming.
Katherine C. · Chief Operations and Finance Officer · Non-Profit Organization Management · June 19, 2025
Overall, I really am happy that we moved to bill for our payments. We are a small team and I can easily have our external accountant access the information to file our taxes.
Pros: The ease with which you can pay vendors and receive payments. It's secure, easy to enter new vendors/customers, and epayments are a life saver.
Cons: I cannot run some of the types of reports I need to easily find information. There are times when the detail needed, I cannot get with the standard reporting offered.
