My experience with MongoDB has been positive in production support and database administration environments. I worked with replica sets, monitoring, slow query analysis, backups, and troubleshooting database performance issues.
Pros: MongoDB is very flexible and easy to scale for large production workloads. I liked its schema flexibility, replication features, and strong performance for high read/write operations. The aggregation framework also very useful.
Cons: Memory usage may become high during large aggregations or heavy workloads. Managing sharding is not easy as standalone or replicatica sets.

As an E-commerce manager, page loads are very important to me. I use this database to power our retail inventory. It provides value for money but is very complex.
Pros: The integration with the cloud is seamless, and our retail application syncs thousands of product catalogs instantly.
Cons: The bugs in version update sometimes corrupt the index data, and the response from customer support is ridiculously slow in attending to our urgent e-commerce issues.

Overall MongoDB is powerfull database that works best when used intentionally. It is excelled for rapid development and scalable applications. Could integration is works great however poor schema decisions can cause you problems.
Pros: MongoDB is extremely flexible and fast to get started with. It scales well, integrate cleanly with modern clould platforms. I have been using it for years without hassle. Customer support and documentation are solid and community resources are easy to find when issues come up.
Cons: Flexibility can easily turn into mess if the data model is not designed carefully from the start. Costs on MongoDB can also grow faster than expected as data and traffic scale.

Great experience .I enjoy working on the back end with mongo databases . I use it professionally it has a lot of benefits
Pros: Amazing DB . Fast , performant , easy to develop , easy to maintain, easy to debug .I use it at work and for personal projects
Cons: If you come from the SQL world it takes a time to get used to it , but once you learned Mongo you won't want to go back to SQL

I have used mongo db in projects which has a demand of scalability and schema flexibility and it has exceeded my expectation.
Pros: Mongo db is very easy to learn and is a very powerful tool.It offers high performance and offer good developer experience. It is also convenient to set up replica sets for high availability and for failover scenarios.
Cons: Can be memory-intensive, especially with large indexes or working sets. Also, complex relationships are less efficient than in SQL databases.

Excellent and forst in class database application. Very fast and agile. Easy to implement and lots of support and learning resources available for development
Pros: Very well structured database with plenty of learning resources for developers. Simple to use and connect interfaces with a host of applications. One of the best databases in its class
Cons: Probably the lack of popularity of the applications but there is little to dislike. If i had to be specific them probably just thr user interface but this is really minor
Daniel R. · Manager · Design · April 16, 2025
Pros: When I am initial in the learning phase, i preferred MongoDB as it is the best choice for new developer.
Cons: Prizing is little bit higher for initial stages but rest is good.

It is extremely adaptive and has a great functionality, the data handling is quite plain and not overloaded with tight constraints. It doesn't compel you to follow specific schema, neither is it causing complexity on you
Pros: Database setup and management is bounding and trouble-free. It further is a perfect solution for the unstructured type of data
Cons: Letting data be always consistent in general can be a challenge, especially for those environments undergoing many undertakings
Thomas S. · Co-Founder · Marketing and Advertising · March 2, 2025
Pros: It's capacity to store data in JSON like documents and ability to handle large volumes of unstructured and semi-structured data.
Cons: It's interface can be improved little bit for easier and faster access.
Anonymous User · Automation Testing · Information Technology and Services · January 5, 2025
Pros: The flexible schema and document-based data model reduced the need for complex schema migrations. It also has innovative indexing features which enable high performance for queries.
Cons: The accompanying GUI tool - Compass - is not very intuitive and needs some getting used to
Ruchir A. · Cloud Support Engineer · Computer Software · August 16, 2024
Pros: Mongo permet le stockage des objets JSON, contrairement à MySQL.
Cons: Impossible de faire de base de données relationnelles avec Mongo.
Anonymous User · IT · Computer & Network Security · April 23, 2024
Pros: It is ideal for environments with few computing resources Any server or any personal computer can be used to set up MongoDB and have a server for your projects. It has very good documentation, very extensive and detailed compared to other NoSQL databases.
Cons: Not a suitable database for applications with complex transactions. Despite being widely used today, it is still a young technology. It does not allow Joins for queries, that is, queries in which different tables are combined or related.
Álvaro C. · FullStack Developer · Computer Software · April 12, 2024
Pros: MongoDB provides several useful features, the search/filter feature is really fast and optimized, it's good for small and big databases.

Anonymous User · Owner of ShadowPlayersDev · Information Technology and Services · April 10, 2024
Pros: The ease of use and the community behind the product. It’s always growing and there are a ton of resources on the web.
Cons: The ACL handling is not as easy as it should be, but this could be a subjective point of view.
Anonymous User · Software Engineer · Insurance · March 16, 2024
It has been a great experience to learn and implement mongoDB as a NoSQL database. The bulk operations and aggregations are quite useful features at times.
Pros: provides a good scalability and flexibility to application development with NoSQL while still offering the efficiency.
Cons: It needs a fair amount to learning before you start with the implementation.
Preet S. · Senior Software Engineer · Financial Services · February 26, 2024
Pros: L'interface de MongoDB Compass est vraiment très pratique et très design pour ce genre d'outil. La rapidité de MongoDB est clairement sa force première
Cons: La gestion des indexes est bien plus compliquée à prendre en main que sur les SGBD relationnels
Florian B. · Développeur back-end · Professional Training & Coaching · February 7, 2024
Overall, this is good for beginners and has a small level of application. Their storing and retrieval formats are JSON; B-JSON is very helpful to understand structure. I recommend this for all beginners because it is easy to understand. Cast is also ok compared to other DBs.
Pros: First, it is a NoSQL database. so it uses a flexible JSON-type model. And it has a large and active community, which is helpful for developers seeking support. And beginners can start with MongoDB.
Cons: This DB does not support uploading documents like the AWS Bucket Concept. It only stores text Text Formats. And it can consume a significant amount of memory, especially when dealing with large datasets.
Bharathi P. · Mobile App Developer · Information Technology and Services · December 31, 2023
I recommend mongodb for all the beginners whoever trying to learn new database. It not only beginner friendly also provide large number of build in function that makes easy to learn everyone. Unlike others nosql databases it store the data as bson format. So, it makes naturally faster the most of common databases.
Pros: Best part that i like in mongodb was It's speed and large number of build in functions. So i don't need to add each and every time custom function for searching or filter. Also they store the database best cloud platfoms(AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure). that makes my data were are safe. It beginner friendly also.
Cons: There are not that much i don't dislike about the mongodb.

In our company we work with flexible data from customer databases. Therefore, we can not determine the scheme in advance. When we voted we chose NoSQL and we chose MongoDB.
Pros: Store large amount of data using NoSQL. I've seen it as the best for big data. It is flexible and helps to store data in document format. It is providing high performance and better solution of storing data.
Cons: Although it can store large data seamlessly but it is less flexible when it comes to retrieving that data stored in multiple batches.
Sami A. · Software Developer · Computer Software · December 29, 2023
With the large amount of built-in functions, I don't need to write some complicated queries in my project. I can also easily integrate with any of my projects. I won't need to extraneously install packages or tools needed to use the MongoDB Atlas. They also provide a custom role option for the CRUD option. This makes it more practical to use. Unlike other MySQL databases, MongoDB uses the BSON type to store data. that makes the database more fast and robust. And they also provide tools like MogoDB Compass for easier management. I can easily shift my data from one database to another using tools like Mongodump and Mongorestore. also one of the main reasons for me using MongoDB for its security. because they use popular platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure to store data.
Pros: One of the fastest MySQL databases with a user-friendly database. You don't have to put that much stress into learning the MongoDB. The enormity of the built-in options makes this user easy to implement on their project. and easy to integrate with any framework (such as Node.js,Djanco, etc.). The detailed documentation with examples makes this even easier to use (in my opinion, most tools fail on complicated documentation with a lot of examples). The documentation provided by them was easy for even a beginner to understand. They also provide custom integration with top cloud-based platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. With the free storage space of 500 MP, everyone can use their database with a low amount of limitation.
Cons: From my point of view, I don't see any things I dislike about the MongoDB. They provided all the necessary things that I wanted.
Ajay kumar G. · Full Stack Developer · Information Technology and Services · December 26, 2023
Pretty decent and easy to use. Quality has improved.
Pros: Data storage, organization and maintenance.
Cons: Due to memory issues, I’ve seen duplicate data being created most times.
Seejal S. · Sr Systems Engineer · Biotechnology · December 7, 2023
its backend integration with Moongose is simple, easy to use, it seems like a good product to me
Pros: easy to use, with a few steps you can integrate it into a backend and it's very reliable
Cons: at the moment I have no complaints about the product
Andres Ernesto L. · CTO · Computer Software · November 11, 2023
It has been amazing and I'm glad I used MongoDB.
Pros: I fell in love with the ease of use and simplicity of software
Cons: I have no negatives with MongoDB. I just feel a lot more publicity is needed where I come from
George M. · MD · Information Technology and Services · November 11, 2023
Pros: MongoDB is a well-known choice for NoSQL Database and it can be used for free as well. Perfectly suited for a personal project or small project because we don't have to pay anything.
Cons: One thing that I feel annoyed about is the IP whitelist requirement in order to access the Database. Because my IP is dynamic it will be changing the address each time, I access the Database.
