Coda is the all-in-one doc that brings words, data, and teams together. It starts with a blinking cursor on a blank page and can grow as big as your team's ambition. Coda comes with a set of building blocksーlike pages for infinite depth, tables that talk to each other, and buttons that take action inside or outside your docーthat enable teams to create workflows, instead of conforming to other tools. Teams use Coda to run effective meetings, drive planning processes, launch products, and more.

It's a good product, needs some improving to make it easier to use. If you're not an IT person can get complicated with trying to use formulas to automate etc.
Pros: I like how much you can do on Coda - we use it for quite a lot of things within our company. Its intuitive and a good product.
Cons: Very difficult to use - not so user friendly. It has great capabilities but knowing how to use them can be tricky. Some clunkiness as well in terms of building tables, creating cross-docs etc - quite admin heavy. Also can't get any automations to work.

Great tool for knowledge sharing and project management
Pros: Coda is a very comprehensive tool with many features that can be directly customized. I primarily use it as a company-wide "notebook", where different teammates have specific permissions to edit or view various pages. We also use it for very comprehensive project management - we even integrated an ability to take meeting notes via "forms". Our project manager can configure project management very specifically to meet each team's needs and requests.
Cons: Some technical acumen and Coda-specific training is required to make the most of Coda features. We have a project manager who is responsible for administering Coda; the software requires an administrator to get the most out of the platform.

Very positive. The ease with which you can bring teammates in to collaborate live on knowledge base, software development, or sales enablement content has brought real buy-in on a knowledge system for the first time at our company.
Pros: It's fast, flexible, and brings in the features you'd expect from a collaboration tool...and even some welcome surprises. It integrates with most systems and provides powerful sharing and privacy controls to support a company wiki.
Cons: The paid "Doc Maker" license is frustrating because it either forces you to spend money on a license for someone to create documents, or if you're being prudent it almost creates a disincentive for someone to share knowledge. Pricing needs a fix.

Pros: The customization options are a big plus, which made us choose Coda in the first place.
Cons: Where do I start....I personally don't like the interface. It feels chaotic in terms of organizing documentation.
Deyan G. · Managing Editor · Internet · January 20, 2025
Pros: East to document and collaborate in one single place. It combines the functions of google docs/sheets etc and keeps them in one centralized document/place. Also only pay per doc maker, not per user.
Cons: Nothing I dislike about the product, just wish I knew some more coding to really take my docs to the next level
Tommy M. · Growth Genie · Computer Software · June 23, 2024
Found myself regularly wishing I could do more with it, hence decision to move to Notion.
Pros: Great little collaboration site with intuitive UX
Cons: But in all honesty, just not as powerful as Notion.
Anonymous User · CCO · Telecommunications · April 1, 2024
Pros: Looks more corporate than notion, and this allows to sell the tool to managers that still believe have a share folder in Google Docs is where documentation should be. On the other hand, it is more focus to be a company wiki place than a personal place to save your notes, documents etc.
Cons: If you want to work big documents o sheets, CODA is not the place. I tried to use CODA as a place to save all the feedback from my users and the bigger the file, the slow the tool become, or you need a great computer to run the application correctly.

i like a lot , specialy the integrations but it misses the relation between tasks in databases
Pros: coda have a lot of important integrations
Cons: in databases the relation between tasks is not working
miguel c. · ceo · Construction · January 27, 2024

I usually try to find free online tools as much as possible. With Coda, I decided early on that this is something I am willing to pay for. And, since I do not need to pay for each user that has access to my databases, I only pay for the "Doc maker", the person(s) who builds the database, I found it a very reasonably priced option for my use.
Pros: The flexibility of both setting up and using Coda is by far the best of any similar service I have tried. Whatever your needs are for a database-type service Coda will tick most, if not all boxes. Build the database exactly to your liking and expand when needed. The team also constantly works on implementing improvements based on user feedback. They also keep developing new features.
Cons: They do not offer a lot of options when it comes to formatting and visual layouts. For example, you are bound to only two fonts: one serif and one sans-serif. Granted, you can play around with italics and bold types but you are pretty limited in your choices, at least for now.

Coda is a good tool that excels as a simple product. If you don't need or want to worry about having to learn a new tool to collaborate / store knowledge and want a well built tool then Coda may be what you are looking for.
Pros: Coda is simple to use and easy to share pages with colleagues. As a knowledge management tool or collaboration tool it gets the job done without a steep learning curve.
Cons: Coda felt like it had limited capabilities to make deeply customizable content like tables or pages with diverse content.

Love it. Enjoy using it on a daily basis to keep our projects moving and allows us to work collaboratively with clients.
Pros: A one stop shop where we can build collaborative project hubs, coordinate tasks and deliverables, integrate with Jira and provide daily project statuses to clients and internal teams.
Cons: Formulas and connectors are not easy to navigate and training our internal teams has been a challenge
Jennifer M. · Sr Manager of Project Analysis · Marketing and Advertising · October 13, 2023
I highly appreciated the flexibility Coda offered and its ability to make project management incredibly efficient.
Pros: Coda truly impressed me with its versatility and array of features. With the capacity to take on both simple and complicated tasks, such as compiling lists, coding, and more, it gave me the perfect platform for managing and executing all of my projects. Furthermore, its neat and organized approach made it especially convenient to switch between different tabs without any difficulty.
Cons: Coda can be unreliable and sluggish when constructing large projects, and still has areas of development concerning features and usability.

Helps me organise my work effectively and better collaborate with teammates.
Pros: Clean UI/UX is a huge plus. Moreover, I personally feel Coda to be miles ahead that it's competitor Notion in all aspects.
Cons: Importing and exporting spreadsheets is a hassle

Makes our task easier
Pros: It's very useful making schedules and team activity
Cons: None so far, if there will be will keep you posted
Ernesto C. · RTA · Financial Services · November 27, 2022
The whole thing is amazing when it comes to using Coda with all available features, I'm using a lot of things because of my job duties, I create documents with new processes, update the current documents and communicate with the team, and manage the requested tasks for myself and my team and also use Coda on any device makes it a lot easier for the user.
Pros: It is the easiest way to create or update a process workflow and keep track of tasks, also has very a smooth clear view of the tasks dashboard with due dates and who requested the tasks with the task status and the due date.Managing the daily tasks of the team is a great feature as well.
Cons: Sometimes, especially when using low internet speed connections the pages take so much time to load and this might some issues for the users, I recommend creating a special view "lowered web version" for such internet speed.

I love using it. I keep track of grades, tasks, blog posts, collaborators, and so much more
Pros: I have so many little projects going on, and this helps keep track of each one's disparate tasks and collaborators
Cons: The mobile experience is not as full featured as the desktop, so I sometime's can't edit the documents I want

50-50, I used to have a love-hate relationship with it, but now our Business Systems Engineer is showing me the good side of Coda.
Pros: How easy it is to customise Coda docs based on the needs of the People & Culture Team! Super love it!
Cons: Formats need to be easily customisable as well, if possible. Like we're currently using Coda to automate our People & Culture ops, and if it is possible to customise formats in the forms as well. Thank you Coda!
April M. · People & Culture Specialist · Information Technology and Services · October 17, 2022
The initial approach to Coda was to rely on it for our entire companies documentation. This worked well, everyone can easily understand how to use it and create clean and easy to follow documents. Once we grew the volume of documentation stored, we did come across issues in clearly storing collections of data and occasional problems with loading times.
Pros: The platform has a good document editing and templating functions. This includes an intuitive table designer which allows placeholder text to be re-used throughout templating and allows spreadsheet type calculations.
Cons: The organisation of folders / sub folders isn't deep enough to nest different sub-categories and we found that after several months of use, there were performance issues and slow loading times.

It's in between Asana and Notion for range but not the leader in any one thing for actually operationalizing & scaling businesses. It could be good for just Eng team and their leaders.
Pros: It makes it easy for the eng team to house coding and write more technical specs out.
Cons: Not great for prioritization, tasks that move around, owners
Anonymous User · Head of Talent · Computer Software · September 9, 2022
I've enjoyed using the product. It is pretty much my hub for every project and for all knowledge sharing.
Pros: Coda has more functionality than most of its competitors. There are many other products that do one small part of what Coda can do. For example, most of the functionality of Monday can be done by Coda, however, Coda can do much more beyond that.
Cons: There is a learning curve to using this product at its full potential. Creating pages, setting up tables and workflows all requires a lot of learning. So in order to have a very functional product, the user must be trained.
Michael M. · Manager · Consumer Goods · September 6, 2022
Coda is quite like Notion and one of the challenges is that it's not a household name and people might wonder why they should take the time. I think if you want to learn a tool that will put you ahead of the game in terms of skills competencies, learning Coda and Notion would be a game changerf. The automation features alone are a really valuable skill to learn.
Pros: If you are technical but can't code, this is your super power. It will allow you to build your own applications and customise enterprise systems that work for your organisation. It integrates with a tone of other applications like Google Calendar and zoom.
Cons: It was extremely obivious where the getting started tutorials were. It took quite a while to learn but is actually worth taking the time. I think if someone is looking for an out of the box solution this is not it. However it's worth it to educate yourself on how to use it as the automations and template will claw back that time for you when you get to grips with it.

Pros: I love the features of Coda that make it a one-stop place for storing my documents and processes. Using it for a various tasks like creating data tables, knowledge sharing and time planning.
Cons: Some disturbing UI bugs that do have their workaround but make Coda a little bit less pleasant.
