Overall the customer service, look and functionality and just overall experience has been the best I have had from the like 8+ legal accounting software out there.
Pros: This is the BEST legal accounting software out there in my opinion! It is intuitive and easy to use and customize. The best is how easy it is to change or undo something. This is great for bookkeeping. Big time saver.
Cons: I don’t have any cons for myself but I would imagine my clients would prefer if it had more CRM abilities. That said, that WILL be changing soon via thier partnership with Actionstep.

Pros: Ease of use. As an Admin I can see everything at a glance.
Cons: Server crashes occasionally. There are times where it is difficult to adjust user permissions.
Ben R. · HR Manager · Law Practice · December 16, 2024
This is the best legal accounting software on the market today. Easy to use, IOLTA ready. Cloud-based. Superior customer support with live agents -- never a "bot".

Pros: Excellent legal practice accounting software on the market today.
Cons: Soluno does not yet have a mobile app. However, with the internet, the website is accessible anytime

Awful. After 11 months we are looking to switch again, as is everyone on our floor.
Pros: It's cloud based which is good. There aren't many others. If I could give a negative stars I would. We switched from PC law which had become outdated and unreliable. We switched based on our bookkeeper's recommendation. It has been nothing short of a disappointment. The customer service that had been promised is non-existent. Our bookkeeper who works at a medium sized firm that had switched has confirmed that the customer service has deteriorated significantly in the last year to the point she is no longer recommending it. But it makes little sense. Difficult to navigate.
Cons: Where to start. It's things big and small. For example, the icons that were chosen, presumably to make it easier, don't really make sense. It is difficult to navigate and cumbersome. PC Law had become outdated and unreliable. But it was intuitive. Soluno makes everything more complicated.

Customer service is Exceptional. I have had couple of clients using this Accounting software and it is very easy to use. I am more used to Oracle software which has a more complex mechanism. I like Soluno and will recommend to any legal firm looking for Accounting software.
Pros: Soluno is very simple to use, I am an Accountant and find it very user-friendly. I will say that the platform is well organized and allows users to do Accounting without too much knowledge. When transitioning one of my clients, I had the opportunity to interact with many customer service representatives. I want to make sure you recognize the Exceptional customer service of [sensitive content hidden] . [sensitive content hidden] went beyond her duties and helped me find solutions to the issues we were having when doing our 1st bank reconciliation. Please let [sensitive content hidden] know that she is very good at customer service. She is friendly and listens to the needs of our company. :)
Cons: I wish financial statement will have more drilling capabilities. This will allow analysis of expenses more practical.

they have been bought by a parent company but has retained their main Canadian staff members, have been though 2 year ends with the software and needed to contact our main point each time to ensure we were using the correct reports. possibly just need to get these long term reports working or had slight changes due to process changes/updates during the year, but they worked with us to make sure we had our complex compensation reports run each year.
Pros: Conversion process is easy, making sure you have a consultant and soluno staff available to assist was very helpful getting us up and running smoothly.
Cons: the level of customizability needs intervention by soluno dev/staff, but this might just be cloud software vs on prem.
Dan M. · IT Director · Legal Services · April 4, 2024
Pros: I find this software extremely user friendly. Easy to make changes and the billing procedure works smoothly
Cons: Only problems I have had in in regards to closing files errors and the time summary not lining up on the final invoices
Helen N. · Legal Assistant · Law Practice · December 1, 2023
Pros: Invoices and Billing in medium size firm
Cons: Log in delays and also freezing when finalizing invoices
Jordanna P. · Legal Assistant · Law Practice · December 1, 2023
overall, i really like Soluno and it is useful in my line of work.
Pros: it is not difficult getting to know how to use it.
Cons: i still have difficulty login in sometimes.
Ketsia N. · Law clerk · Law Practice · November 20, 2023
Pros: The accessibility, organization, convenience.
Cons: I have not encountered any issues therefore nothing to not like.
Kortney D. · Assistant · Law Practice · November 20, 2023
I LOVE SOLUNO FOR ACCOUNTING FOR OUR FIRM.
Pros: I love [sensitive content hidden] and all of the help staff. After 43 years in business, I can honestly say this is the best service I've ever received.
Cons: Printing is somewhat cumbersome with too many clicks on buttons.
KIM C. · BOOKKEEPER · Law Practice · November 16, 2023
Pros: Fairly simple layout for timekeeping and summary of time billed during the month
Cons: Editing and changing time entries is not the most straightforward after they have been posted.
Alexander P. · Associate · Law Practice · November 16, 2023
fantastic support from Kathy Bell, my greatest support person who is extremely knowledgable in such a relaxed manner.
Pros: user friendly and extreme support as i was learning.
Cons: There are still hidden features I am discovering.
eileen b. · bookkeeper · Law Practice · November 16, 2023
Pros: Fairly easy to use, icons are easy to use and understand. Online support is typically fast and helpful.
Cons: There are still many features that are "in the works" that would be beneficial to have now. There are also reporting features that are not available, such as Retainer replenishment alerts.
Annamaria J. · Operations Manager · Legal Services · November 14, 2023
Pros: It is functional, easy to use and most importantly easy to access from any office site.
Cons: It would benefit from easier access to up to date training videos for all aspects of the software.
Taylor M. · Law Clerk · Law Practice · November 13, 2023
Since we started with Soluno earlier this year, I have found it very easy to use, have greatly appreciated the customer service and ability to chat Soluno representatives, and the training materials available online to learn different features and functions.
Pros: Soluno's interface and ease of use is intuitive and user friendly, especially to people without a specific accounting background.
Cons: I understand a new feature is being rolled out (which I would love) that would allow users to create a template for certain vendors (such as with different prefilled subcategories).
Jayne S. · Associate · Law Practice · November 8, 2023
Great, was able to pick it up on the first day entering my time and its been smooth sailing ever since.
Pros: Extremely intuitive and easy to pick up. Cloud-based program that has never had an outage in my use. Fast and efficient.
Cons: N/A. No critiques of the program. It has been very easy.
Sean R. · Associate · Law Practice · November 8, 2023
The transition to soluno has been a struggle
Pros: I enjoy using the feature of selecting multiple invoices or dockets individually or all at once. Huge time saver in that regard.
Cons: I still do not understand an easy way to see a client's payment history
Tamara H. · Legal Assistant · Law Practice · November 7, 2023
I have been a PC Law user for 20+ years and this program comes close to that but not quite there yet. I do know however that Soluno tech team is always working on advancements
Pros: I enjoy the ease of the program I liked that it was full accounting program
Cons: I would like to have more than one window open at a time I would like to be able to pull a GL report with multiple GL's and I would like to be able to pull a billing report that is separated and totaled by each type of law (dept)
Joanne D. · Bookkeeper · Accounting · November 7, 2023
It has been 50/50 - The daily use is friendly, however the functionality for more specific features is restricted. For instance, GST and PST reports needs to be closed monthly, if anything needs adjustment or correction the remittance period needs to be re-opened. I would prefer to close remittances when year end finalizes rather than monthly.
Pros: It has features that are easy to hand with.
Cons: The restrictions for users are not customizable.
Brisia C. · Senior Bookkeeper · Law Practice · November 7, 2023
Pros: It is easy to track and edit time entries. I appreciate the feature that allows you to review and edit bills before they are generated.
Cons: It is difficult to find information about which disbursements have been uploaded to files, undo old invoices, and see what has been deposited into trust.
Kendra A. · Lawyer · Law Practice · November 7, 2023
Overall, I find Soluno to be intuitive and user-freindly for basic features such as time entry. However, I have not tried the other features since I do not have the need to and do not have access to many of the features. For basic time entry, though, it works well.
Pros: The system is very intuitive when submitting time entries, which saves me a lot of time when putting my entries in at the end of the day. I also like that the entries can be edited (for the most part) even after they have been saved .
Cons: One of the problems I found is editing the date if/when I inadvertently save time entries to the wrong date. By going to the heat-map, I can easily edit the date in the entries themselves, but I have not figured out how to change the date. In addition, I would like to keep Soluno running so that I can input my time as I go through my day, but it times out way too quickly, forcing me to log in again--I cannot figure out how to keep it from timing out so quickly. The "Help" feature is not every helpful in finding answers to these issues.
Ann B. · Paralegal · Law Practice · November 7, 2023
Pros: How quickly and effectively they answer questions
Cons: No complaints really. But, to be candid, this is my first experience running my own accounting software.
sean l. · owner · Legal Services · November 7, 2023
Pros: Able to easily manage time entries through the Soluno software solution.
Cons: There is no mobile app for time entries.
Paul L. · Attorney · Legal Services · November 7, 2023
Pros: It is very user friendly and has streamlined training and accounting for us.
Cons: There have been a few glitched, as with any new software.
