Domo is a business intelligence platform used mainly by small businesses and enterprises in industries such as automotive and construction. The software helps teams build dashboards and visualize data from tools such as Excel and NetSuite. Users value its ability to unify data sources and automate reporting, though many cite pricing complexity and support limitations. In 2024, Domo added ResponsibleGPT for secure AI-powered insights.

Very useful tool that gives us the vital finical information in our industry. Very well organized one you find what you are looking for.
Pros: Domo allows me to look at all the critical finical information that is needed to track the daily-monthly and yearly revenue that is frequently looked at in our company.
Cons: This program is not very user friendly as far as navigation. It is a self learning program as far as finding the information you need to look at.

I thought my experience was great. Easy to learn the basics while advanced features were a bit more difficult.
Pros: Domo makes it really easy to bring all your data together in one place and visualize it quickly. The dashboards are clean and interactive and was fairly easy to learn.
Cons: While basic dashboards are easy, the advanced features and integrations can take time to master. It can feel intimidating at times.

I had a lot of DOMO demos then tried using the product for a month or so. I tried connecting some things but ultimately gave up as I couldn't figure it out.
Pros: I love how much you can do with it. DOMO is very advanced as you can connect just about any platform to it and visualize it anyway you want.
Cons: I don't like how much the cost can add up and how much time it takes to set up everything the way you want it to.

It's so easy to use, it's really powerful, and it can really make a difference to an organization that is looking to better utilize it's data. On the other hand, it can really get expensive if you don't put in the effort to govern your costs. Domo needs to improve its consumption controls.
Pros: It's one of the most robust and user-friendly data and BI platforms. I can connect to any number of systems, transform data, and visualize it literally within minutes.
Cons: Domo's new consumption pricing model solves the problem of paying for numerous extra features, and it brings a lot of flexibility to allow customers to control their costs. However, because Domo is so user-friendly, it's really difficult to keep the costs from spiraling out of control because of the "democritization" of data.

Unfortunately we were sold on on numerous promises and features that have never come to fruition. They have no problems billing us for the lack of service.
Pros: The theory of it. I had used Domo in a previous role and we had a data analytics specialist in-house that integrated all our business to utilize this platform.
Cons: Horrible customer service. Sadly, our service reps will not assist us with numerous questions to get our businesses integrated.
Steven E. · Owner · Industrial Automation · July 14, 2025
Pros: The data it puts out is fairly easy to digest, and you can make edits to the cards in real time. It's also easy to collaborate with colleagues on projects within Domo.
Cons: The interface itself isn't the most intuitive. Trying to navigate to different boards/projects can feel a bit jumbled at times. It can also be confusing figuring out how to request to join a card/project if you don't know who the owner is, or having to contact them outside the platform since the notification system doesn't always seem to... notify people.

Pros: I find the data analysis capabilities in Domo particularly useful. The platform allows me to inspect and transform data easily, enabling me to uncover trends and patterns that inform our business strategies
Cons: At first Domo is very difficult to navigate asides of this learning curve no issues
Jaden R. · Physical assistant · Hospital & Health Care · March 24, 2025
My overall experience with DOMO is a pleasant one. I have all my main filters saved so I am able to dwindle down to my saved features and I get right to my answer. This help a lot because I work on a lot of accounts so it is tedious work. But DOMO allows me to effectively and efficiently move my workload along!
Pros: I use DOMO frequently for my job to collect data metrics. I like how easy it is to access DOMO. It's easy to filter down to the exact metric you are looking for down to the date, metric and number amount. I also like how easy it is to export the file into a Microsoft Excel pdf. When I need to send me findings, I always need to attach the DOMO report which is easy to download.
Cons: DOMO can be a bit confusing and overwhelming to use when you first look at it. But this is because of how detailed it takes you when you are searching for your data. Once you get the hang of it and know how to save your filters, it is a piece of cake to utilize and is very effective.

Over the past year of learning and navigating this system at work I have found data retrieval to be so much easier than before, and extremely more organized. I cannot express how much I appreciate this program.
Pros: DOMO is a phenomenal program that makes capturing data for the entire company organized and easy to evaluate! We previously used a different operating system and this one is a million times better. It is so easy to navigate and easy to pull the needed reports!
Cons: I think the "Buzz" section that takes up the entire right side of the screen should have a toggle bar to make that section smaller. In the capacity I use this system I don't typically use the Buzz section so it would be nice if I should hide that section and view more of the screen I actually need.

Great platform for SMB's to level up their BI game. More user friendly to those who may not have any coding/programming experience, but still allows those with technical ability to get the most out of the platform.
Pros: Does not require any technical skills with their no-code Magic ETL dataflows which is super helpful for scaling a BI team. We are still on a fixed payment term, which has been extended for a few years which is great. Tons of pre-built connectors for Shopify and paid advertising platforms.
Cons: New pricing update based off token usage will be troubling. Not sure how we would be able to test new dataset builds when we are being charged for each run/update of a dataset.
Mac B. · BIM · Consumer Goods · February 3, 2025
Pros: It provided a good and easy to manipulate data visualization platform.
Cons: Etl functions and heavier dashboards slowed the entire page down and was difficult to work with
Yogesh M. · Sr. Data Specialist · Retail · January 17, 2025
My fast hard experience with Domo has been remarkable. The software is very standard.
Pros: Software is easy to learn and set up. It does not require training. Domo software provides reliable digital solutions that saves time and resources.
Cons: The software has delivered according to expectations.
Gideon B. · Customer Manager · Media Production · January 13, 2025
Pros: I like the numerous reports you can run. There are reports for each department and it is customizable which is great.
Cons: It does not update in ream time. This is frustrating when we have deadlines and need accurate information.
Olivia B. · Subrogation Specialist · Law Practice · January 2, 2025
Domo has been very great for our business, but as a small business it is clear we are not a target or focused customer group. I believe their suit of tools is best suited for medium to large businesses. They will accept a small business but will not give much attention to them in our experience
Pros: Very fast and powerful data transformations/manipulation that are intuitive and straightforward to perform. Data connections are very broad
Cons: Expensive and hard to understand pricing. Data visualizations are comparable in quality and capability to much more affordable options.
Lexton D. · Finance Manager · Logistics and Supply Chain · December 5, 2024
Superb! Excellent! Top Notch, Good Visuals
Pros: Domo is the platform for us! It has all the capabilities we were looking for all in one.
Cons: Onboarding was a little harder than we thought but well worth it!
Deborah M. · Administrative Assistant · Non-Profit Organization Management · December 5, 2024
Pros: That it has multiple forms to showcase data and selections to create reports.
Cons: It was simple in many functions and we only displayed it for day to day sales tracking.
Adrianna T. · Operations · Food & Beverages · November 2, 2024
All in general, this tool has helped us look at the data for not just manufacturing or operations department but overall all business units in a more automated and customized way which the teams have loved so far. Also, the PDP feature allows us to ensure we are only giving access to the authorized users and reduce unnecessary bureaucracy.
Pros: I like it because it is really advanced when it comes to Business Intelligence and visual insights. It helps me in quick and impactful decision-making through the metrics I can build on a dashboard and integrate with ERP & SaaS products for my company.
Cons: The data refresh is still i believe not fully there yet. on the daily refreshes, sometimes it forgets to refresh data and then I'd have to wait for a day again to have it update live data. Even though, it is a rare instance, I'd love if this was fixed permanently.
Aniruddha T. · Operations Support · Mechanical or Industrial Engineering · September 24, 2024
Pros: It's analytics is pretty easy to understand.
Cons: Some features are not too user friendly and can be confusing
Marnie K. · Designer · Design · September 6, 2024
Solid product - fairly easy to use, good room for customization
Pros: Data visualization (graphs, tables, etc.). Domo pulls data from my organization's CRM system and other sources, making Domo a single place to view information.
Cons: Updates made in a source take some time to flow through into Domo, it's not instantaneous.
Shivam P. · Sales · Medical Devices · June 20, 2024
Pros: Easy to filter data and select plateforms
Cons: UI is great and easy to use; filtering and customizing
Amir I. · Senior Platform Engineer · Telecommunications · June 20, 2024
I'm a fan of DOMO and I like using it. It allows me and many of peers to use the technology and the data easily in the ways we need to use it to make critical business decisions.
Pros: It's easy to use. Any tool that requires significant training isn't a tool that is going to be easily adopted. Domo is intuitive and efficient.
Cons: Not sure this is a domo thing or an us thing, the list of reports needed are extensive.
Dayna G. · Sr Director, Implementation Operations · Automotive · June 19, 2024
Pros: DOMO plays as an integrated platform that combines data from various data sources so that data scientists and data analyst could easily do the further investigations. The graphical programming tool (ETL) is another advantage for code-less development. The visualizations and dashboards are great for our business intelligence activities.
Cons: It's hard to set up the PDP policies even with the dynamic PDP policy since all the attributes need manual inputs. The help function is not that friendly.
Yuan D. · Senior Data Scientist · Health, Wellness and Fitness · June 19, 2024
Exceptional tool where I could find up to date information
Pros: Synchronized data makes it easier to analyze between the modules
Cons: It took a while to master it but when you master it becomes super fun
James B. · Account Manager · Security and Investigations · June 19, 2024
Pros: Real-time data information assists with meeting SLAs and staying compliant!
Cons: Having a more thorough explanation of errors would be helpful.
rochelle f. · Senior Technical Operations Specialist · Import and Export · June 19, 2024
Pros: As a person who mostly works with ETL and Data visualization I can say that cards and dashboards approach allows developer/analyst to visualize and analyze data, but business users will find it complicated. Working with various data sources, scheduling pipeline updates and reports, setting up alerts, and managing data lineage is easy.
Cons: Writing and debugging SQL code in ETL pipelines is complicated and long process. Cards are not very responsive to resizing. DOMO has similar to Tableau LOD calculations, but they are not as flexible as DAX.
