It's good, I think the least favourable aspect of my experience is the price - it's not very straightforward and it's easy to overspend for what you need. But the most basic level, which is what I needed, felt overpriced and I felt almost conned into buying the next level up just for value for money but then, when you realise you're not using everything you're paying for, you bitterly drop back down to the lower price tier.
Pros: Customer support is really helpful and it is so easy to navigate once you've got to grips with it. Making tax digital has been made really easy
Cons: It's a steep learning curve for someone who hasn't kept their own books before. It's not a simple case of just uploading receipts, you have to manually edit a lot of expenses

I LOVE QUICKBOOKS and use it everyday for business. I have used others over the years and always go back to Quickbooks.
Pros: Ease of use. Very user friendly and reliable. Customer support is always there and if you use the help, the platform will literally teach you how to navigate and use it.
Cons: Too many prompts to print things. When printing a invoice it takes three more clicks to actually print the document.

QuickBooks Online has consistently delivered positive results for my business. I particularly appreciate the responsiveness and helpfulness of their customer support team; they are always available to address my queries promptly and effectively. Furthermore, the payroll feature functions exceptionally smoothly, streamlining our internal processes. The invoicing system is incredibly user-friendly, not only for my team but also for my clients, who find the payment process to be very convenient and efficient, contributing positively to our overall financial management.
Pros: QuickBooks Online truly shines with its exceptional accessibility, which is a significant advantage for my business operations. The ability to access the platform seamlessly from virtually any location is incredibly valuable, particularly when managing multiple businesses simultaneously. This feature allows me to provide prompt and effective support to my employees, ensuring they receive the assistance they need, regardless of their location or my own, which significantly enhances our overall efficiency and productivity.
Cons: The absence of comprehensive inventory control tools, including robust barcoding functionality, represents a substantial impediment to efficient and precise stock management within QuickBooks Online. This deficiency directly contributes to inaccuracies in inventory records, increasing the risk of stockouts, and complicating efforts to effectively optimize sales strategies and forecast future demand, ultimately impacting overall business profitability and operational smoothness.

Quickbooks Online is a wonderful tool and I recommend it to all business owners and accounting professionals. I have helped friends and family get set up with their accounts and it was easy.
Pros: Quickbooks Online lets me check my pay stubs easily and ask my team any questions when it comes to my pay & deductions. I love how I am able to log in with my information easily and print documents fast.
Cons: Their app functionality is is not quite fully compatible with my phone. I tried using browser site desktop view and helped a great deal to fix this issue.

Pros: You can easily add a customer or supplier to invoice or bill. Can easily add bank accounts and change easily change the filters on reports.
Cons: The overall look can be quite hard to follow. The bank reconciling isn't always obvious. Customer services hard to get hold of.
Alexis P. · Bookkeeper · Accounting · May 15, 2026
Overall the tool has increased productivity. Mainly through the automated transaction imports. Otherwise, this is a pretty pricey tool as compared to the desktop version. There isn't much difference between desktop and the online version outside of price.
Pros: Ability to import transactions and reconcile accounts. This is generally a pretty clean process. Quickbooks does have some trouble populating the type of transaction for each item. It seems to randomly forget a transaction category for the same type of transaction import.
Cons: Navigation is messy. There aren't options for one click to many daily activities. Entering bills, paying bills and entering expenses are all multiple clicks away.

I like the education and support provided by Intuit. Also that accountants can access your company without having to bring information to them. It takes some getting used to but being a QuickBooks user, it is very handy.
Pros: QuickBooks Online is easy to learn and convenient in allowing you to convert from desktop and access your information from anywhere you can get online.
Cons: It is easy to misconstrue as an automated program and that is not the case. You can set rules for importing but it does require checking up on those imports and making sure they are allocated correctly.

Overall, my experience with QuickBooks Online has been positive. It is a useful tool for managing invoices, expenses, payments, and reports. It helps reduce manual paperwork and makes it easier to keep track of business finances. There can be a learning curve at first, but once you understand the system, it becomes very helpful for day-to-day accounting tasks.
Pros: QuickBooks Online is easy to use and helps save time with invoicing, tracking expenses, and managing financial reports. The dashboard is simple, and it is helpful for keeping business records organized in one place. I also like that it can be accessed online from anywhere.
Cons: Some features can take time to learn at the beginning, especially if you are new to accounting software. The monthly fees can also feel a little high depending on the plan and features needed.

My experience with quickbookd online is overall a positive one and it helpful in managing invoices and payments.
Pros: The ease of which I can send and receive invoices and the payment platform is so easy to use as well.
Cons: I wish that there were more options for tracking invoices and organizing them but other than that no cons.

I run my firm on it and put most new clients on it. It's not flashy and it's not perfect, but it handles the day-to-day books for me and my clients. I'm looking forward to where Quickbooks goes from here.
Pros: I have been using Quickbooks for years. Orginally starting on Enterprise before moving to Quickbooks Online. Overall Quickbooks online covers most of my clients needs and still remains as one of the competing accounting software for small business owners. The big stand out compared to its competition is the amount of integrations available via their app market. My clients use different software unique to their industry, Quickbooks makes this seamless by offering an integration for most if not all.
Cons: Support is the weak spot. The biggest challenge is when something goes wrong it can be difficult to get good help. Often I'm using forums and searching for solutions to the issue online. They are not as frequent but when they do happen, it can be troublesome.

The software is easy to navigate for users without an accounting background. Its functionality is generally adequate for small to mid‑sized businesses.
Pros: The platform provides easy access, is simple to navigate, and highly intuitive. The cost of the software is accessible.
Cons: Customer service response times are slow, and it often takes too long to reach a representative with the appropriate expertise to resolve issues.
Luz Arias L. · Controller · Events Services · May 7, 2026
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Watch out for the bait and switch! I migrated to QBo from desktop - i wanted the plus plan. It offered the Advanced plan for free. Sure, why not? Because the trial expires, you cannot downgrade without an hour chat and then phone call. You have to renew the higher plan, then call do downgrade, because you are an idiot and don't know the right plan to pick for yourself - so we need time to talk you out of it. Then you have all another dept to get a credit for the difference in the 2 plans. This is basic customer service software - pick your plan and credit the account. So bad. So lame.

Overall its been an ok product. The ease of use for beginners is something I would highly recommend as a starter product but I wish there were other options that were just as robust or something made more for people that understand how accounting works.
Pros: I love that its a bit of a catch all for any small business that needs to track their accounting. Its pretty easy to navigate for people that don't under stand most accounting and the training they offer is something I would highly recommend. The invoicing works well for us for basic invoicing. Their pricing is pretty good for all the options they have- we use Online Advanced.
Cons: I wish the QBO had as many reporting options as the Desktop version. I've asked about getting some of those reports but customer support says they don't have it. As someone that knows the accounting side of things the product can be frustrating to use because they block certain features or accounting procedures to try and help people not mess up their books. I've had issues with trying to get help through customer support but they know less than I do usually.

I started using it after the former employee that set up our account left our business. It was difficult to transition into running our account with no knowledge of what had been previously done.
Pros: I like that it would send reminders. The payroll portion was fairly easy to understand. There was some ease of use with that portion.
Cons: It was too technical for an office administrator to use when that person does not have an accounting background.
Debbie F. · Office Manager · Mental Health Care · May 6, 2026
I really recommend to use it if your run small or big business. It will put together all your spendings and expenses.
Pros: I think that’s the only one system where you can use for business to track your spendings and etc, My business accountant using it for tax purposes. Also it’s really easy to get your financial reports from it. If we use quickbooks desktop it is a good price. They have a good customer support, always answering on emails and phone calls. We also using it for invoicing, it very user friendly. There is no extra or hidden fees.
Cons: I got hacked once and sometimes getting some fraud emails from quickbooks scammers. It’s really hard to understand sometimes if it’s real or fake accounts.
Konstantin P. · ceo · Construction · May 5, 2026
Experience has been great and if there is an issue the customer service is quick and efficient to give me a solution
Pros: It directly connects to our jobber program making it easier to utilize without the constant back and forth between programs.
Cons: Sometimes to undo something or apply a credit gets really complicated when it doesn’t need to me. It is backwards.

QuickBooks Online is honestly super easy to use and makes managing finances way less stressful. Everything’s organized, it saves a ton of time, and it just works without a lot of hassle. Definitely a great experience overall.
Pros: QuickBooks Online makes tracking expenses, invoices, and reports really simple. It’s easy to use, saves me a ton of time, and keeps everything organized in one place.
Cons: QuickBooks Online can get a bit pricey over time, and some features feel limited unless you upgrade. It can also take a little while to learn all the tools at first. But once you learn how to use it- its the best thing ever.
Dana P. · CVOM · Veterinary · May 1, 2026
Overall it is a good program, as long as you have some experience using it. As well, the app was really helpful.
Pros: The initial cost was pretty good, and found it fairly easy to navigate. I liked that they started to implement AI as well.
Cons: I had some issue contacting customer support, and not getting answers back. I also had issues with work not being saved.
Matt M. · Owner · Construction · April 30, 2026
I prefer Quickbooks Desktop. The online version was cheaply produced and doesn't provide you the details that desktop had to offer
Pros: everything in "live". The update to the banking and credit card happens within hours or the next day.
Cons: Not user friendly. The banking is quirky. It tries to pick up on patterns so it defaults to vendors or customers but most of the time it's incorrect
Jeannette H. · Accounts Payable · Construction · April 30, 2026
Pros: The integration between Quickbooks and various other financial platforms is integral to proper bookkeeping. The platform is also easy to use and does most of the work for me!
Cons: My only complaint is that Quickbooks often has trouble connecting to one particular bank and we therefore have to manually reconnect them often.
Alexandra M. · Operational Services Manager · Chemicals · April 30, 2026
Great program and I can't imagine using anything else. Since it is a popular program, our accountant is well versed and can use it easily. Quickbooks puts a lot of control and customization in my hands. The payroll function is so beneficial with Quickbooks tracking live checks and auto-creating labor and tax reports, and filing and paying taxes automatically. We have several integrations that sync flawlessly.
Pros: User friendly and easy to use. The financial and operational reporting is robust and used constantly. I love how I can build budgets in easily and track different key metrics. Invoicing and receiving payments is simple and Quickbooks makes matches to payments automatically. The support team is quick and helpful. I like the integrations that are available. It is inexpensive and does everything I need and more.
Cons: Sometimes AP payments are recorded as a payment and not a bill payment. I can't change or apply without voiding/deleting. When we receive AR payments through quickbooks, we get charge a processing fee.
Lauren A. · Administrator · Restaurants · April 29, 2026
Pros: Quickbooks is easy to get started with. There are a lot of powerful features, but that you don't necessarily need to know or understand to get started.
Cons: They just launched a new view that I like much less than the old view. Additionally, they could work on their UI/UX more, it's pretty old-school still.
Krista P. · CFO · Recreational Facilities and Services · April 27, 2026
Pros: Ease of use and security and strong customer support. Unfortunately I was not able to undo some actions of my past CPA due to security
Cons: Pricing seemed high for the products offered compared to ADP, the company that currently does my payroll I’m still using quickbooks for my bookkeeping however
Wieke L. · MD · Health, Wellness and Fitness · April 27, 2026
My overall experience with QuickBooks Online has been excellent. It’s a tool we rely on daily, and it’s been especially valuable for organizing and tracking receipts over time while keeping our finances well managed.
Pros: I like that QuickBooks Online makes managing finances straightforward and efficient. It’s easy to track income and expenses, send invoices, and stay organized without needing advanced accounting knowledge.
Cons: There was a small learning curve at the beginning, but that’s normal with any new platform. Other than that, I haven’t experienced any real drawbacks.
Haley C. · MANAGER · Accounting · April 27, 2026
QuickBooks Online is a very professional app which offers great customer support by responding in a timely manner.
Pros: The user interface is very easy to navigate and accelerates my accounting process. The app is secure and contains all the features I need to do my invoics and my financial reports.
Cons: I wish it were integrated with other systems for easier syncing. I also think it is on the expensive side.
