Initially, when I started building WordPress websites back in 2019, I was extremely struggling to design appealing and modern pages, until I learned about Elementor page builder.
Pros: Extremely useful page builder for WordPress website to design modern and fancy pages. It requires minimal to no technical knowledge to build a page, and an interesting part is, they've got many free templates. You wouldn't be spending extra bucks to build a page.
Cons: As far as my experience with Elementor is concerned, I did not find anything that I like least about the app. So far so good.

While it can be buggy, overall it makes for great website design and provides the ability to allow your website to stand-out.
Pros: The templates varieties are varied and well priced. Building components of the pages using plug and play to create better looks that the average WP site.
Cons: It can be a tricky at first to learn, and sometimes it does weird things when you try to add more components/paragraphs. Header footer can be tricky.

I'd recommend Elementor to anyone who wants to build a website without coding it themselves. It's also a great solution for web design agencies.
Pros: Website build with Elementor load quickly. The builder experience is great too. Easy to get used to compared to other visual builders on the market.
Cons: At the moment there isn't a once off license you can purchase for the software, compared to similar offerings from competitors.

Overall, it's easy to understand and build quality sites so I've been able to consistently build nice sites.
Pros: I have limited web design skills but I build and maintain my own Wordpress websites and create landing pages using Elementor. I love the themes.
Cons: The only complaint I have is that sometimes it seems that using Elementor makes my site slower, even changing the theme doesn't help.

Creating stunning websites is the core benefit that I realize with Elementor on my end which help boost the SEO rankings.
Pros: I have used Elementor for nearly five years now. I like the fact that Elementor is a code-free wordpress page builder that offers a wide array of free CSS templates.
Cons: Exporting themes and templates from elsewhere sometimes clash which forces me to use the ones built-in.

I would recommend this tool to people who wants to start a business of website, and they are awilling to learn to use it properly.
Pros: They improve a lot about how to build websites easily and faster with great designs and great navigation.
Cons: Not so many tools to use, it feels that they can implement more. Also customer service is not the best, it is quite hard to reach them when a problem happens. Also their AI is not the best and I dont think worth to pay more for it.

Overall elementor has been essential in how I edit and design my website. It has allowed for easy website flow and navigation
Pros: I like all the different options for website design and elements that can be put into the website including pictures and graphics
Cons: The cost is high and many stock photos are no different than what you can find on Canva or Google with a free search

Elementor provides us with easy placement of video content where we want it on our website and blog posts,
Pros: The drag & drop system is the more useful tool of Elementor because it’s very easy to use. It’s templates are fast and effortless solutions to get a website looking fabulous.
Cons: I don’t have any negative points to mention. So far, finding it really easy to use and I like all about the platform.

It has been easy and effective to create highly responsive both mobile and desktop friendly websites with Elementor.
Pros: I like the fact that Elementor only involves drag-and-drag to create and design websites and landing pages.
Cons: It requires frequent fixes and security updates on websites created through Elementor which is sometimes time consuming due to lack of automation capabilities.

Never thought I'd be able to produce the kind of websites I have with a no code solution and such inexpensive tools as Elementor running on top of Wordpress. I use a lot of freelancers and it's wide adoption also makes it easy to outsource certain aspects of the work.
Pros: There's a lot of these visual editing tools available both for Wordpress and elsewhere. For me, nothing comes close to Elementor for it's ease of use (once you've learned it a bit) for the price.
Cons: It has a bit of a learning curve. Some elements take a bit longer to 'get' than others but the learning tools available from Elementor and the community are great.

I'm overall pleased with Elementor. I've used it for countless businesses, and taught it in the classroom as well. Compared to other front-end builders out there, this is a clear winner for building WordPress sites.
Pros: I've built well over 50 websites with elementor, if not closer to 100, and the value for this builder continues to improve every year. A pro license is well worth the cost and provides you excellent templates, as well as the ability to save your own templates and create faster workflows for building websites. The ability to now use their cloud templates also is a welcomed improvement over the previous export and "paste from another site" options.
Cons: My only gripe with elementor is around their image optimization plugin currently always being pushed even inside the builder. The other weak spot in the builder is the ability to view revision history, this could be improved upon greatly. Lastly, setting those viewport sizes. Give people a 4k viewport template. We get so many clients who go to review an elementor project on 4k and we end up having to sink much more time into making the desktop view 4k friendly.

Overall Elementor has been my go to as a website developer working with WordPress, but I do often run into limitations, where I have to crowdsource to find solutions.
Pros: Elementor allows for robust, dynamic content abilities within WordPress, and gives really powerful templating for posts and different types of elements.
Cons: It’s not easy to create CSS classes for consistent website styling. I think the software could be a lot more user friendly.

The pro version has advanced features that allows me to create websites with highly responsive design.
Pros: Elementor is another website builder that I use to develop websites. What I like most is the availability of AI capabilities that help generate high quality images and top notch texts and codes in real-time.
Cons: It has been more than four years since I implemented Elementor and I have never come across any drawbacks nor hectic to customize feature.

Pros: Ease of use - lots of drag and drop. Easy to build and optimize your website/pages for SEO. I would recommend it for a simple website build.
Cons: Sometimes updates make the widgets a bit unreliable. Make sure you always keep it updated and read the latest emails from them to avoid issues.

I've been running website and digital marketing teams for about 15 years and I've experimented with almost every 'easy website builder' offer ranging from Dreamweaver and Geocities to WordPress and Square Space. Elementor allows me to create the full bespoke websites I want without needing to code. I've built three websites with Elementor and, for now, it's my tool of choice.
Pros: It's very easy for non-coders to turn design ideas into responsive websites. Unlike other page-builders' Elementor doesn't restrict your design vision; as long as you have the patience, you can build almost anything you want.
Cons: Because Elementor has fewer restrictions than say SquareSpace, and it has way more features including dynamic elements, it can get confusing. There are also lots of ways to skin a cat, so you'll have to make architecture decisions as you build.

Fantastic. It has saved me time by allowing me to update my website without having to learn code or other complex portions of WordPress. It is a great add on for your WordPress site.
Pros: It makes creating and updating my website easy. I would be unable to easily update my WordPress website without Elementor. By using this tool, I am able to keep options open without having to learn code.
Cons: Some add on options are an additional cost. It would be better if things like image optimization were included in the standard package.

It was good when it was fully working, but when I paused the subscription I had to redesign all the old posts.
Pros: The program itself is not bad, lots of plugins and function for marketing. But sometimes the layout gets scrambled up.
Cons: If you pause the subscription all you have done is upside down, plugins and modules don't work anymore.

My experience with Elementor Pro has been deeply frustrating and disappointing. After getting locked out of my account due to a broken 2FA system, I reached out to support — and was essentially ignored. I opened six separate tickets, and in most cases either received no response or got generic replies that led nowhere. When I did finally hear from someone, they promised to escalate the issue but then disappeared without resolving anything.
Pros: The only thing worth appreciating about Elementor Pro is the abundance of third-party tutorials and community resources online — especially on YouTube. Without those, you'd be completely lost. If you had to rely solely on Elementor’s own support team to solve even basic issues, you'd be absolutely screwed. The user community is doing the heavy lifting that the company clearly doesn’t care to handle
Cons: $8d

Overall, a lot of fantastic options, but not the most intuitive tool I have used, so even though it is very popular and compatible with everything I need, I sometimes feel like it is overcomplicated.
Pros: There are a lot of fantastic options available, and it is compatible with most of the key plugins I have been using.
Cons: It is not intuitive and not smooth to work with. I don't think it is quick to learn and use, and sometimes I do find it overcomplicated, but it might be a subjective opinion, as it is not my first choice for the website builder.

I learned WordPress website building on Elementor. I have a lot to be thankful for. They have an excellent free version that most people use. But when people need more, they go to the expensive Pro plans or look at 3rd party tools and what they can do for cheaper.
Pros: It has been a trusted platform for building complex sites on WordPress for a long time now. I use it less because of the recent price increases, but some clients still want to use it.
Cons: The price increases have made it a bit more expensive for a freelancer to build websites with it. There are some other options out there that are more economical. I wouldn't mind paying extra for extras, but paying a lot for the core product seems too much. They have also been slow to introduce some features that would make it truly a next-gen builder for WordPress. I appreciated the Flex containers, but I have missed more advanced features since then. I am hopeful for the V4 launch but will have to see how that pans out.

I have been using Elementor since 2019, and it’s been improving a lot. Once I discovered it, I never used any other builder when it came to building wbesites for clients. I have used others when I have to make changes and it’s always a nightmare, with elementor changes and updates are very easy to implement.
Pros: The flexibility to make create websites, being able to have stored colors for branding, drag and drop builder, copy-paste of elements and styles. It changed the way website builders where being used in wordpress.
Cons: The only downside is speed optimization and first loading content LCP. It has improved a lot but it’s still bloated.

Pros: Elementor is easy to use since it offers drag-and-drop editing tool which saves time when designing and developing websites.
Cons: The free version though lack advanced features available in pro version.
Joy G. · Owner and Graphic Designer · Design · April 30, 2025
Good page builder. Upgrading to Pro turns it into a site builder, giving you design control over the header, footer, blog post templates, and more.
Pros: How they made flexbox (and css grid) easier and more accessible to web designers and developers.
Cons: Lag in the backend, especially when more than one Elementor window is open. Extra <divs> or tags it adds to elements increases DOM size.
Jeremy P. · Web Developer · Internet · April 28, 2025
Totally enjoyable. Easy to use, easy to understand and a very flat learning curve.
Pros: Simplicity, functionality and integration with many plugins in the Wordpress world.
Cons: There may be some cheaper competitors, and there may be a temptation to migrate.
