its my go to web install for anything, single page, web shops, even digital displays. There is nothing you cant do
Pros: Wordpress is so versatile, its great value for money and really easy to use. Once its setup you can easily create pages, lots of layout options, themes and templates
Cons: The biggest issue for us are the security updates. You always have to be running updated installs to keep your site secure and dealing with the add-ons is a pain

My client asked me to use Wordpress for their website and online store and it was an adventure. I usually use php, css, html to create sections and craft a beautiful website. But this time I used Wordpress with other plugins and it saved me a lot of time because their visual layout was nice. Click and drop. The main learning curve was finding where to add these code snippets or personalized css. But there’s a lot of information and tutorials so was quite easy.
Pros: I like how easy is and also is well integrated with other tools. Even if you don’t know how to code, you can built a website for free. The mobile experience is also nice. Their plugin library is amazing.
Cons: It could be quite confusing for a programmer because I couldn’t find the settings I wanted to change. With codes is easier.

My overall experience with WordPress has been very positive. It has proven to be a reliable and flexible platform that consistently meets the needs of a wide range of projects. From simple websites to more advanced builds, it provides the tools and scalability needed to grow without major limitations. It is also the core web product we rely on, because it offers strong control over design, functionality, and performance. With the right setup, it delivers a solid balance of ease of use and powerful customization, making it a dependable foundation for both clients and long term development.
Pros: What I like most about WordPress is its flexibility. It can power everything from a simple blog to a full scale business site without locking you into one approach. The plugin ecosystem is a major advantage, there is almost always a tool available for any feature you need. It also balances ease of use with advanced customization. Beginners can launch a site quickly, while more experienced users can modify nearly every aspect. Having full control over content, hosting, and SEO is another strong benefit compared to more restrictive platforms.
Cons: What I liked least about WordPress is that it can become overly complex as a site grows. Managing plugins, updates, and compatibility issues can take time, and things can break if updates are not handled carefully. Security is another concern, since its popularity makes it a frequent target for attacks, requiring ongoing maintenance and monitoring. Performance can also suffer if the site is not properly optimized, especially when too many plugins are used.

We use Wordpress for all of our websites as they have a good light SEO friendly structure and easy to use dashboard.
Pros: Wordpress is probably one of the easiest website platforms to use. User friendly and has tons of great plugins to accommodate all types of services and functions.
Cons: We tend to get a lot of spam comments, there are apps to filter them but they still manage to get though.

Wordpress is the place to go to start websites without issue. Build professional websites with ease.
Pros: Wordpress is an easy to use builder, suitable for everyone to build professional quality sites, that are accessible for all. Easy on site editor, with ample amount of templates to ensure it works for everyone. Mobile responsive and great for all.
Cons: Wordpress needs your ability to be medium to advance to look good, easy to make messy. Template builders are the way to go

I have been using WordPress to design and develop websites for my personal portfolio and business needs.
Pros: What I love about Wordpress is it's ability to help you integrate many available plugins to your website to make your site more rigid and offer more features to it. For eg: live chat plugins, woocommerce integrations, Paypal payments, etc. Everything at one place for you to use. The other reason I like WordPress is because it is absolutely FREE to use. There's a variety of free themes to choose from too. Absolutely, a WINNER!
Cons: I do not specifically have any complaints so far with WordPress. But, I wish it gave users more flexibility in terms of editing few stuffs without knowing the code. For eg, for some themes, if you want to get rid of their footer, you can't do it from the dashboard. Instead you would have to go to the CODE section is figure out the removal. For someone with a little bit of code knowledge, it's not a problem, but for a non-techy person, that's going to be a pain.

Couldnt recommend it more. If you have no web development knowledge, or if you have been doing it for years, you can very easily get to grips with WordPress to create sites.
Pros: How far you can push it. Most people turn their noses up at easy web builders like WordPress but the flexibility, ease of use and how quickly you can build fully customisable sites using templates empowers so many business.
Cons: The bloat that can happen with WordPress core files, themes and alot of plugins can make the sites slower, but with careful consideration this can be overcome

I have been using WordPress for quite some time and am very satisfied with it. It is one of the most flexible platforms I have worked with and makes it easy to build and manage websites of different sizes. The system is intuitive enough for regular content updates, but also powerful enough to support more advanced needs through themes, plugins, and customization options. What I value most is that WordPress gives me a lot of control while still remaining accessible for everyday use.
Pros: WordPress offers an excellent balance of ease of use and flexibility. It is simple to publish and update content, and the large selection of themes and plugins makes it possible to adapt a website to almost any requirement. The platform is widely supported, regularly updated, and suitable for blogs, business websites, and more complex projects. Its strong community and ecosystem make it easy to find help, extensions, and solutions when needed.
Cons: One downside is that the many available plugins can sometimes lead to extra maintenance, and not every extension works perfectly with every theme or update. For beginners, the amount of choice and customization options can feel a bit overwhelming at first. Performance can also depend heavily on the quality of the hosting environment and the plugins being used. Even so, these are manageable trade-offs for the level of freedom WordPress provides.

Great choice for long term flexibility and takes time and patience to learn and may need support if you aren't tech savvy.
Pros: Flexible and versatile with good customer service. Good basic value and creates a good design as well.
Cons: Overwhelming at first with a deep learning curve as it can be frustrating. Needed to pay for people to assist rather than DIY.

I use wordpress everyday to update and add content to my client's website. We are now ranking organically for many key phrases.
Pros: WordPress is the easiest and most customizable open website programming system. It allows me to choose from thousands of plugins to accomplish anything you could ever want a website to do and all for free. If I ever have any issues I can usually find a solution online from someone else who already fixed it or found a work around.
Cons: The frequent updated can sometimes cause issues for my website or plugins without my knowledge so I test the sites each morning on web and mobile versions.

I started using it for my first blog, and it did seem complicated at first but later i learned more and more. I started with free templates and upgraded to better paid version. Wordpress can accommodate everything for your blog, literally everything. The price is really accessible, and descriptuions and faqs make everythign so easy. I wish they had a better support system, but for price you can't really beat it.
Pros: Easy to use for beginners, lots of plugins, good price. Lots of free templates to chose from, and easy navigation.
Cons: Some parts are difficult to navigate, could require little more work for beginners. I wish they had a better support.

Overall a positive experience. Makes maintaining and updating websites possible for any business no matter how much software experience owned.
Pros: Wordpress has made website design and editing easy for everybody, especially those with no coding experience. The interface makes all tools and pages understandable. Wordpress also contains a huge array of templates making any website design possible.
Cons: My biggest concern would be the maintenance that needs to be put into WordPress. Having many plugins within the website can cause many updates otherwise the website and certain plugins can run slowly.

It's not really changed in years which is probably a good thing for some people but I think there are slicker, cheaper, easier to use options out there now.
Pros: It's the old school option for website building, trusted and used by many. There are also a lot of skins available for design at cheap prices.
Cons: It's just too behind when it comes to the updates in online website building these days. I felt like I was working on my blog back in 2013 rather than building a professional website.
Kate W. · Office Manager · Sports · April 3, 2026
Pros: Love Wordpress for website building. Templates are customizable and beginner-friendly, making it easy to create a professional website or portfolio. I've used the platform for over 8 years for various websites and portfolios and continue to love it.
Cons: You now have to pay to see where your traffic comes from and the free version has become more limited.

Great product, easy to use, good value and does have good integrations with very useful tools. They make a goo product that can be used with people ay any level of experience.
Pros: Word press makes things simple and easy. They provide some solid tools that make it understandable. Cost is also quite good.
Cons: It has a lot of add-ons that could get a little overwhelming or make you think you need all these additional things.
Emmanuel K. · Sr. Business Administrator · Automotive · March 24, 2026
We continue to see good to excellent performance and customer comments have been positive with the exception of how page layout is vertical (scroll) and lengthy.
Pros: Wordpress continues to provide good service, automatic updates and flawless up-time performance and reports.
Cons: Templates are not as flexible or modern looking as we would like. To move from one template to another seems cumbersome and time consuming.

As the owner of a marketing agency, I’ve worked with a variety of website platforms for our clients. We feel very comfortable working with WordPress. Its always being easy to use, easy to control to perform SEO, and we like the variety of customization options. Our experience has been great.
Pros: What I like the most about WordPress and why we recommend it to most of our clients is its affordability compared to other platforms, and also because it is incredibly user-friendly and offers great quality and functionality.
Cons: When we are changing the fonts and their sizes, sometimes and for some reason, the text doesn't pick up the font size and it doesn't appear visible, which force us to do it manually and try to guess the same size that was used before. Its something minor, but if this could be fixed that would be great.

Great software, but complicated and overwhelming for someone who is new to website design. It has many great features but I found that there were additional hidden fees for many of them.
Pros: WordPress had exhaustive features for website building and design. The customer support was good and overall good value for money.
Cons: I found the software very complex and ultimately it didn't work out for me as it was too overwhelming for my first time building a website.

Wordpress has allowed me to create and update a wonderful website for my company. The plug-ins alone provide anything you can of to really make your website shine and serve any purpose that you can imagine. When learning how to use Wordpress, just remember to stick to it and lean on the broader community to help support you.
Pros: Wordpress is a well priced and feature rich suite for website design and page editing. It has been a trusted name in web design for many years and is so widely used, that it's almost synonymous with web creation. Wordpress has a bit of a learning curve compared to some of its competitor, but that curve lends itself to being far more powerful. There is a huge community dedicated to web design and template creation to support you when you need help.
Cons: Official customer support isn't as dedicated as the forums and industry-led community itself. Wordpress isn't designed for beginners. If you're going to learn this powerful tool, you need to put the time in.

I love Wordpress have been using it for several years. It’s easy to create and update your page and they have so many creative solutions to make your website how you want.
Pros: I love how easy it is to customize your website and allow you to make add ins and help you make your website flow smoothly.
Cons: I don’t have much negative to say about Wordpress. If you want to have a more complicated website you will need to put more time and effort to create your website.

I have been using wordpress for years, starting back in the day of name.wordpress.com to buuld your owne personal page. My websites have ecommerce embedded with payment solutions that I can manage myself. Plus for my personal sites, I can have a lot of fun creating different designs and add-ons.
Pros: Ease of use. I can get a simple page up and running in literally minutes, and an ecommecre site in under an hour. Beyond that, the templates and add-ons make it possible to design really great looking, functional websites across multiple industries.
Cons: Free plug ins. Most plugins have the danger of being hacked, especially if not updated. People...it's free for a reason. Purchase the upgrade!
Patrick S. · Director of Finance and Creative Director · Consumer Goods · March 7, 2026
I've used WordPress to build websites for years and have no plans to stop. Good visual builders layer over it seamlessly.
Pros: I like how versatile the CMS is. There's also so many different software that can integrate with WordPress now.
Cons: Not a complaint, but one of the challenges with WordPress if you don't setup things correctly can be website security.
Anonymous User · Web Designer · Marketing and Advertising · March 6, 2026
I got on really well with WordPress as someone who used it for our online ordering system every day. It was simple and customers rarely had an issue placing their orders. I would use it again.
Pros: WordPress was our website host when i first began to be involved with the back end of the website. It was simple and worked for us as a website/ webshop. Orders were easy to understand and could be quickly categorised or actioned. Pictures and updates of products were simple to action. We did not have outside IT support at this time so all issues were fixed by the WordPress team themselves.
Cons: Although simple and user friendly, we were limited in what we could do using WordPress as our host. This was not an issue or even apparant until we wanted to redesign our website so was not an issue at the time of using it.
Sam K. · Projects manager · Food Production · February 27, 2026
For the price, with a little attention about security, a managed WP instance is brilliant. That way, you know the patches are always applied and you've got a suite of plugins to scale such as Woo Commerce.
Pros: The best thing about WP is the choice of templates – it's massive. Creating new pages, especially for content based websites is simple. It's straightforward to adapt the design to suit your needs. It's excellent at managing posts, although news/blogs seems an old method now.
Cons: The constant security worries, especially from plugins. There are so many cases of WP sites being hacked, that you need to take this seriously from the outset.
