It was decent. I do think there are some hidden fees which wasn't great but I do think the customer service is great.
Pros: When you call the service numbers they are extremely helpful and quick to make resolutions to your problems.
Cons: High turnover rate. Never had the same person twice. Also, not updating our assigned service reps. I called someone that hadn't worked for the company in 18 months!

Not being able to evaluate the platform before using it, I found the product to be difficult to navigate. Employee management was not straightforward and even seemed counter-intuitive at times. I did not have any bugs or issues and believe for a payroll platform it could be good.
Pros: The package was the perfect size for a small business yet offered some advanced features. It was a pretty good value for the money.
Cons: I was thrown into the product with no training and found the platform to lack ease of use. When I asked for help, I was provided a pamphlet not any training resources.

It was fairly easy to set up and very easy to use. Our set up was just payroll, and it was a lot of manual processing due to they types of systems we were using at the time.
Pros: It was economic at the beginning. Very simple to use. It is a good product for a small company with less than 50 employees or if the company is just getting into the electronic payroll processing world.
Cons: It became expensive considering we didn't add any additional features. It also wasn't as robust when we decided we wanted to be able to add the HR component.

Overall experience was that it was fine for the cost. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles when it comes to processing payroll. The representatives I spoke to were all cordial, respectful, and competent to varying degrees. It just seemed that perhaps Heartland was lacking in supervisory roles. Everyone I initially spoke to couldn't give me the answers I needed and always had to defer to someone higher up...that never would return with any answers. When I reached out again, I would always have to start at the beginning.
Pros: I don't know if this experience exists anymore, however I agreed to a 3 year Price Lock. I have under 10 employees, so it was very economical to say the least.
Cons: Towards the end of the 3 year contract, I tried numerous times to contact a representative about my account and questions I had about going forward. I thought standard questions, basically would the costs change after the contract ended, would there be a new contract to sign, etc. It took me many emails back and forth to finally receive concrete answers. That really soured my experience with Heartland and after my contract ended I went forward with another payroll company

Great. I enjoy the representatives and their thoroughness in verifying my credentials, helping with learning the system and recording time.
Pros: I enjoy the ease in which to complete payroll, notifications of payroll due dates and the team is very friendly and eager to assist.
Cons: Heartland is effective, however, my company subscribes for self-servicing, so some features we do not take advantage of because our business model.

Pros: Easy access to view my payroll history and information. Can work from smartphone, which is very helpful. Accurate wages calculation and no delay in payment/deposit to my bank account. Overall, I seen a better payroll service/operation after we change to Heartland Payroll.
Cons: Met the expectation that we need after the payroll operation is handled by professional. For me, I have no complaint or dislike with this software.

Pros: Loved he Payroll management service by Heartland that takes over our company's payroll management and provide and excellent service that takes over the processing work and tasks. Our staff can access their payroll information online and check the payroll history easily from phone and computer. It has promote accountability and transparency with how much we are paid and the payment details. The system pay people in time and no more issues with delayed payment anymore.
Cons: For me, I have no complaint and highly satisfied with the system. No more issues with wages miscalculation or payment problem.

I like its intuitiveness, user friendliness and flexibility. Heartland Payroll offers everything needed for efficient payroll management and their customer support team is the best to work with.
Pros: Heartland Payroll is simple and easy to use to onboard new employees into the payroll which really makes payment easier, efficient and accurate. It is easy to set up, manage and maintain.
Cons: I have nothing negative to mention about Heartland Payroll. It works pretty well and perfectly for us and i recommend it.

It's a reliable, solid, perfect, efficient and user friendly payroll platform. I like ease of in process of carrying out payroll on a large scale hence saving a lot of time.
Pros: Heartland Payroll is a well designed platform to meet needs of businesses of all sizes. Its user-friendly user interface makes it super easy to use and i like how it simplifies payroll processing while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Pros: I love how easy the interface is to use. I also really appreciate Heartland's payroll support team. They are readily available and have always responded promptly to resolve any questions or issues. Very professional team. I would highly recommend it to all my friends and colleagues. It's been a great experience!
Cons: I do not have any cons. There have been a few features that we wish Heartland Time had available. However, we have not had any issues with Heartland Payroll.

We are able to control how much we spend on each and every month. Additionally, Heartland Payroll includes a self-service portal where employees can easily access their pay stubs and W-2 forms, hence saving a lot of time for HR departments.
Pros: Heartland Payroll is a great time saver. I like the fact that i don't have to spend hours to calculate wages manually. It's intuitive, great and responsive support team. Also, i like that i can import data perfectly into batches.
Cons: Everything is fine. All the features have met met my expectations and nothing to complain about at the moment.

Heartland Payroll is incredible. It's easy to use and my overall experience is positive and i recommend it.
Pros: The best i like about Heartland Payroll is the automatic payroll and wages calculation to help minimize calculation error. Changing employees new tax withholding data and also updating their new payroll calculation can easily be edited from mobile app.
Cons: I'm really satisfied with the great services provided by Heartland Payroll. There's nothing to dislike about it.

Pleasant experience with the automatic payroll system. I do not have to spend countless hours to calculate wages manually anymore.
Pros: It is more than just a payroll software, it also cover our business need for human resource software, time & attendance, and payroll processing. Working productivity is boosted after we change to modern timesheets to track billable hours, clock-in and build accurate report for shift scheduling. Tracking employees hours help to ensure worker is paid fairly by their working hours and reduce calculation mistake when calculating their monthly wages. It also help HR to process time off request by simple click either to accept or not accept the request. All this features is on one platform.
Cons: Missing training course for HR to learn about the system. It would be more effective if we can sent our HR personnel for face to face training to learn all about the software and its limitation for a better understanding.

Pros: ease of use, the customer service team is very knowledgeable & friendly
Cons: I'd like to be able to email payroll reports to our accountant without having to download them first. I feel downloading can cause a privacy issue

Satisfied with the result and experience that this software provide for me.
Pros: The most valuable tools by Heartland Payroll is the automatic payroll and wages calculation to reduce calculation error and make sure every tax, over-time and travel claim is accurately paid. Every employees has their own dashboard that we can view and track payroll payment history, paystub, and payroll information directly from the android apps that we install on our smartphone. For administration view, it saves the operating cost and time as all the payroll management is handled by the vendor and we don't need to have in-house payroll specialist.
Cons: All is good for now. Helpful and knowledgeable customer support to assist us to configure the system or when we have issue with the direct payroll deposit to employees bank account. The price is quite expensive, but the benefits has covers all the cost that we pay to get our payroll management running smoothly.

Great experience so far. Easy user-interface for employees to check their profile and payroll information.
Pros: I like how easy it is to simplify payroll management. All the data is available on the dashboard to edit info, view data and add employees details. Changing employees new tax withholding data, updating their new payroll calculation can be edited from mobile application. No need to find my work laptop just to update few basic information anymore. We also opt-in for automated payroll management which everything is manage by the system and need no in-house payroll specialist anymore. No more human mistake problem with overpay or overpay.
Cons: The system is too good, I can pinpoint any flaws with their service or system. We rarely get complaint about wages calculation mistakes or delayed payment deposited to their bank account anymore.

Used to be great. Used to have reliable employees we could contact who would respond. Now it's a call center - might as well be some random overseas project given the level of personal INattention. And we have two companies working through them but are looking for a new company.
Pros: It's quick to use, although not user friendly even with the update.
Cons: So many tax errors I cannot begin to list them. They withhold when they shouldn't, credits with the state sit in the state for months if not years with many emails back and forth, random credits get returned without explanation for unemployment, and after hounding me to do my ERTC, they neglected to file appropriate forms and did not respond to me for months, until my claim fully expired. Thus, I have lost thousands of dollars - and I have received all of one vague apology for my trouble from some random employee.

Started good and ended do to heartlands non responsiveness to support or other requests.
Pros: we used it for years and at the beginning , Heartland provided great service for an affordable cost.
Cons: time and labor was a separate company and cost. support became poor to non existent over time

I have found Heartland very helpful form setting up new employees to actually being able to speak to a representative.
Pros: Always helpful, as a new business owner I have made a few mistakes, and every time I all the help and fix it.
