It is good for the most part. I have used Gagetrak 7.0 for over 7yrs. And have recently upgraded to Gagetrak Lite.
Pros: The ease to make reports is good. The customer service/technical support is excellent.
Cons: All the new steps that I have to do to update a gage from my old version vs. Gagetrak Lite.
Susan S. · Quality Assurance Gage and Calibration Specialist · Utilities · December 20, 2024
I would say very good as of today. I have only been using for two weeks so I still have a lot to learn.
Pros: You have different formats for exporting reports.
Cons: There is no menu list for entering standards that were used for a calibration. Currently there needs to be test points entered before you can choose which standards you are using. When you print out a ad hoc report for a gage the notes section does not print out. In my opinion, every item on the gage menu and or calibrations menu should be a report but also have the ability to turn off a menu. Then you could tailor your report as you desire. Most electrical calibrations have hundreds of test points so entering all of these in the gagetrak software one by one is counterproductive.

Pros: EASY TO USE AND THE TRAINING WAS VERY HELPFUL
Cons: THE WEBNAIR WAS A LITTLE DRAWN OUT AND HARD TO JOIN

My overall experience has been great, it's very user friendly. I am able to easily update and keep track of when devices need calibrated.
Pros: It makes it extremely easy to keep track of all of our measuring devices that we use
Cons: The software sometimes runs slowly, it has a hard time loading information
William P. · Quality Assurance MET Lab Technician · Automotive · October 31, 2024
Better compared to the older version made it much easier.
Pros: Easy to work with. And move around in and able to print labels instead of hand written.
Cons: Overall, its good. Still new to me but compared to what I have saw with the old version a lot of good improvements.
Carla W. · QC Tech · Building Materials · April 30, 2024
Pros: Gauge management system and tracking abilities.
Cons: It runs slow sometimes and the errors we were facing in the older version.
VISHESH D. · QUALITY SPECIALIST · Automotive · April 22, 2024
Pros: Tech support was helpful and quick when I came across an issue.
Cons: When updating windows, it messes with Gagetrak software
Joseph V. · Quality tech · Automotive · April 2, 2024
All I can say is to urge GAGEtrak to keep making the sofware more user friendly.
Pros: I am thankful to GAGEtrak for making it easy to monitor audits.
Cons: GAGEtrak's learning curve can be a little steep to beginners
Rono K. · Web Developer · Computer Software · July 15, 2023
Pros: By switching from excel based to GAGEtrak it made the tool management system leaner and effective. It is easy to see the status of tools which are calibrated, due and finish the calibration recently. It reduce the room of error in missing the calibration of a tool. It has the feature to tabulate the data in report which can be present to the auditor.
Cons: So far our organization is satisfied with this software, it is serving the purpose.
Tauseef P. · Engineer · Automotive · January 11, 2023
The overall experience was very good. Workflow specially is quite optimised and screen has enough data for your auditors.
Pros: The software I used only for testing purposes and could not buy. The software offers really good dashboard where you can see all the data which will help you to respond to auditor questions. The workflow system offers gives a smooth flow and better visibility.
Cons: I don’t have much to contribute to this section.

Pros: Anyone familiar with the user interface of Microsoft Access will have no trouble getting accustomed to using GAGEtrak version 7. The dialogs and screens are familiar and concise. We are able to track all of our gauges with as much or as little detail as we need. Calibration schedules are fully customizable with all of the necessary history to maintain an audit trail.
Cons: This version of GAGEtrak is getting harder to maintain as the base technology gets older. Our version based on Office 2013 has had a few instances where updates to Microsoft software caused some issues. Fixes usually aren't too hard to find but often need to come from Microsoft in the form of updates, and not CyberMetrics. Future versions appear to be moving away from an Office dependent base which will reduce this issue greatly.

Pros: I have worked with Gagetrak for about 7 years with a couple of different companies. The program works well to manage gages and calibration requirements. Being able to customize test points for gage calibration is a useful feature, but is a little confusing when beginning to build your groups. The addition of the "days from issue" feature to calculate the calibration due date really helps cut down on unnecessary calibration of unused gages.
Cons: My biggest complaint is about how SLOW SLOW SLOW this program is. Even if your database resides on the pc you are using, the "microsoft access" platform inhibits performance. If your database is on a remote server it gets even worse. I routinely have to wait several minutes for the database to update even a simple change in information, and the program is very prone to the "not responding" screen fade. This morning it took over an hour to enter just 5 gage calibrations due to how long it took to update after entering data along with the "not responding" messages and random, confusing error messages about incorrect date formats, even though the program entered the date automatically. I finally had to shut the program down and leave several gage calibrations unentered because I had other work obligations that had to be met.

A good experience overall, it makes life a little easier. Always a good thing.
Pros: Overall it works well, there aren't a lot of other products like it. The calibration test point tool is well worth it.
Cons: It's pricey for what it does, but it does make things easy. If you have a lot of tools to calibrate, it helps keep track.
Joe M. · Principal Engineer · Airlines/Aviation · March 9, 2021
I do not have to worry that my Techs are getting my gages calibrated on time.
Pros: This program is very useful in helping keep track of all gages that need calibrated or repaired. Save manual headache.
Cons: This software is pretty costly compared to Gagelist. But I think it is a little more structured for what I need.
Don M. · Quality Engineer · Transportation/Trucking/Railroad · May 7, 2020
Gagetrak is an overall good but not great program.
Pros: Gagetrak is pretty simple and straight forward. It allows you to record enough information and not overly complicated.
Cons: Gagetrak did leave a little to be desired. Its very simple without all the bells and whistles of most calibration software programs.
Donny M. · calibration/technical specialist · Construction · January 7, 2020
We were spending 2 full time employee labor tracking down gauges and other measuring equipment. We were able to consolidate job tasks and now it's only a 10 hours a week tacked on to an existing employee that fills other job duties.
Pros: We were previously using a software that was created in 1996 for tracking, inventorying, and calibration scheduling. GAGEtrak not only was able to import in the data from that really old software, it was simple to convert over to the new system with ease.
Cons: Backing up the data is a little tricky, but not impossible.
Pam K. · Sysadmin · Airlines/Aviation · August 29, 2019
Pros: Very easy program to use. Makes keeping track of thousands of gages simple and easy. Customizable lists are great as well.
Cons: I wish there was a way to have smaller separate databases inside the bigger database. This way I could have one for each customer who sends in gages and then have our own gages without combining everything into one database
Bryan E. · Calibration Tech · Aviation & Aerospace · August 27, 2019
Reduces audit workloads tremendously giving the team more time to finalize reports.
Pros: The records storage system is on-point! Very well organized and data entry maintains its integrity until the user chooses to alter such information. The usage of gauges to calibrate and measure is innately easy.
Cons: Only that sometimes entering gauge values can become tedious if working with heavy audits. Maybe a more friendly user interface with sliding features would be nice.
Anonymous User · Student · Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing · August 25, 2019
Very simple and easy to use. Tech support is very easy to get a hold of and does a great job resolving any issues.
Pros: Very easy software to setup and implement. Training for user is straight forward and the software is so easy to learn that any user with basic computer.
Cons: the fact that it still uses a back end Access database.
Colin D. · Software Engineer · Automotive · August 1, 2019
Pros: Ability to track Gages/ calibrations. Many added features allow reporting for management and customers to view.
Cons: Doesn't always load right away; might take several attempts. Also, freezes up when inquiry tries to load.
Anonymous User · Quality Manager/ FAA Repair Station · Aviation & Aerospace · July 18, 2019
Pros: GAGEtrak is very easy to use once you understand how it works. It's very easy to enter information and perform calibration. It reduces the amount of paper we use because of the ease with which scanned documents can be added. It's nice that there's a well thought out training process and great support team to help with installation and operating the software. It's also very vast and highly customizable to meet different needs.
Cons: This software is complex and not easy to use unless you have the proper training done. Luckily, there's a great training program and also very knowledgeable support staff to help out with issues.

Gagetrak software helps to calibrate and measure using some gauges. It assures quality of the product and audit will be easier. It reduces lot of mistakes and reduce the time to check the data because of the well organized data with vast storage. As well as, it help to search quickly too.
Pros: This software helps to measure and calibrate products. That will make sure the product quality and also the audit will be easier. Because, vast capability to store records and data, also it will be well organized. Once a data entered will not change until the user change it. Automatic numbering will help to save the time.
Cons: This software is very organized and few demerits too. There should be a reference or shortcuts to save some particular gauges or measure to access it fast. There is no option to extend calibration values without entering new measurements or values. Delete some from drop line is difficult. There is no option to list different categories of gauges or measurements.
ANTONY NOYAL J. · Supervisor · Automotive · May 26, 2019
Pros: The program lets you keep track of so many gages and lets you keep a lot of information about them right at your finger tips. Also the ability to not only search for things by just about any criteria but also to make your own reports and customize them at will makes this easy to keep track of any and all gages
Cons: Some of the options make you make blanket changes when it would be nice to be able to change something for an individual record and not every single one
Bryan E. · Calibration Tech · Aviation & Aerospace · May 22, 2019
Program is very reliable, and intuitive. The software was a great help with our audits.
Pros: The large amount of information available on your screen is great. I can easily answer the auditor’s questions. Vast capability, and customization, if you know how, or want to use it. We use the FDA version, I took the training classes in person. We passed multiple audits in the past year, the FDA, AS9100, ISO13485, ISO9001, plus several customers. The built reports are useful, however, for results with less data, I use the quick and advanced Boolean searches. When working with technical support they are very knowledgeable and available early, I am on the East coast. Pro: Easy to use, vast capability for records and data, some customization. Good technical support. Program is very reliable, and intuitive. The software was a great help with our audits.
Cons: Major Con: Need to have training. Labels are difficult to change need to be done by Gagetrak. No automatic change from “out for cal” back to “active” to use this function requires making a vendor list= BIG Pain. Minor cons: unused fields cannot be eliminated, entering notes in comment section is not user friendly.
William S. · Calibration · Telecommunications · April 30, 2019
Pros: Very easy to keep track of when gages need to be calibrated, where those gages are on the shop floor and what the history is.
Cons: Can be finicky to setup but after that it's great.
