Allen and his whole team are super knowledgeable and ready to help your camp become successful. They make sure to be with you every step of the way.
Pros: I loved how clean and modern everything looks and how simple the system is to understand. From a parents point of view it says to me this camp is professional and the process is so easy. The organization that is needed to take our camp to the next level was all there and it has been amazing to my staff take the reigns with it and become more efficient because the ins and outs are well programmed and intuitive.
Cons: I can't really think of any off the top of my head. They are so open to your ideas and ways to make camp programming better, that every time I had an idea they made notes on it and started to make it happen. I will say when I first started the cost was higher than what I was thinking, but the benefits and peace of mind they provide saves me so much time and energy that it is worth it. You not only buying a really great system, but a team that cares about what you are doing and understands because they ran camps as well.

Cons: The only area I would love to see improved in FunJoin is the email design capabilities—specifically the ability to add images and graphics more easily. While the current communication tools are functional, having richer customization options would elevate the professionalism and visual appeal of our messages. Being able to include banners, photos, icons, or promotional graphics directly within emails would make it much easier to highlight upcoming events, showcase camp activities, and keep parents engaged. Enhancing this feature would round out an already excellent platform and make the communication experience just as dynamic and user-friendly as the rest of FunJoin.

We just finished our first year with FunJoin and couldn’t be more pleased. We’ve used different systems for our overnight camp business over the past 10+ years, but none have compared. Our overall experience with FunJoin has been excellent. It’s streamlined our registration process, simplified payments, and made communication with families easier. It’s adaptable to the wide range of programs we run and saves us a huge amount of administrative time. Families frequently tell us how simple it is to sign up and navigate, which makes a big difference for our organization.
Pros: FunJoin is incredibly user-friendly for both our team and our families. It keeps all of our camper information organized and easy to access whenever we need it. I love how customizable it is — we can create detailed schedules that fit each of our unique programs, from weekly classes to summer camps to one-off drop-off days. The system also makes it simple to track payments and work flexibly with families who need payment plans. Everything feels intuitive and smooth from start to finish.
Cons: There’s a small learning curve when setting up new programs or adjusting settings for the first time, but once things are in place, it’s extremely easy to manage.

Prior to FunJoin, I used Bookeo for my School Break and Summer Camp programs. I knew investing more money into a full-service program like FunJoin would be helpful, but FunJoin was a true game-changer! The biggest wins are (1) We did almost double the amount of revenue in the first season of using FunJoin! (2) Using FunJoin saves me so much on admin time, especially with parent and child comms management, that I was able to but more time into the creative development of my program, and (3) my staff are able to manage their events and programs easily on their own.
Pros: The customer service is top-shelf! We love how receptive the FunJoin team is and how much they actually care about my small business's needs. I also love the user-experience. The site design is simple and easy to follow, I hardly have customers who needs help navigating to what they want.
Cons: It's not a quick-start situation so the onboarding is a little tedious, which is actually very helpful in the end. The FunJoin team is so helpful in the onboarding (and so receptive in communications) because once it's set up, you have so much flexibility to customize your offerings whatever way works best for you. So now that I'm familiar with the system, it's easy to add offerings, changes schedules, etc.

Pros: My absolute favorite feature of FunJoin is the Smart Documents! It's been a tremendous asset to our our organization. The process is incredibly easy to use, and it's been a huge relief to have all of our documents signed and organized in one place. But what really impresses me is how easy it is for parents to use too - the simplicity and convenience of signing documents online. If a parent forgot to sign we could remind them in the morning and they would do it right away on their phone.
Cons: My least favorite part of FunJoin was the initial setup process, but it's a one-time investment. After that, the program runs smoothly and mostly maintains itself. Each year, we just need to do a bit of tweaking to keep everything up-to-date, but that's a small price to pay for the time and hassle it saves us in the long run!

Pros: What I liked most about FunJoin is the personal touch from the [sensitive content hidden] and the incredible responsiveness of the team. From the very start, they made the onboarding process smooth and were always available to answer questions. Their customer support is top-notch—they truly listen to feedback and are constantly improving their software to make it even better.
Cons: I am working on familiarizing our clients with the new platform so it's a bit of a learning curve for them, but they are getting the hang of it. FunJoin is fairly intuitive and even our most technologically challenged clients don't seem to have much trouble.

I have really enjoyed our experience with funjoin so far! I recognize that our program runs a little differently due to us trying to cater differently family socioeconomics but funjoin has really worked hard to help us come up with solutions that work for us and the families we work with! Most companies would likely dismiss our needs for the website and I have not ever felt that the features we have asked to be implemented were more than they were willing to at least look into seeing if we could make them happen!
Pros: Funjoin has made my life as a summer camp director so much easier! Their system is easy to navigate for both myself and the families i work with, I love all the different features they have! The ease of being able to create all the different forms required for our program, schedules and payment all in one has saved us so much time and frustration! I have to say what I like most about funjoin is how willing they are to help you and find solutions to best suit your programs needs! All programs run a little differently and [sensitive content hidden] and the staff at Funjoin (shoutout especially to [sensitive content hidden]) are not only committed to releasing features that will help your camp run smoother but they also anticipate and see how they can improve their website to be inclusive for all users! :) Thanks for all you guys do for us here at YPLC!
Cons: I think the onboarding was a little overwhelming and fast paced. I don't necessarily think it's the fault of how funjoin structures the process but how much information had to be absorbed and incorporated with each onboarding meeting could feel a little daunting but I had lots of support and was able to ask questions so that helped alot!

Our school runs summer camps that previously required tons of paperwork. We decided to try Fun Join this summer and couldn't be happier with the overall experience. It was easy to use for us, the families and the teachers. The personal service we have experienced really put them over and above any other services we have used.
Pros: [sensitive content hidden] has been great to work with and easy to get in touch with when we need help. In Alaska, we can have unique situations arise, such as a moose wandering our parking lot, that require us to contact families with some urgency. [sensitive content hidden] was super helpful in getting our text function online quickly so that we could warn parents before pickup time.
Cons: When we first began using Fun Join there were some forms and health and safety requirements from our local health department that were lacking, but actually all of those things have since been added and there really isn't anything that I like least about our experience using the platform.

From the first conversation with Allen to our closing meeting I appreciated the time and energy each employee put into making our account the best it could be. They were always available for questions and concerns. They went above and beyond a couple of times when we had needs with a short timeline.
Pros: Ease of use and their willingness to make changes to the program for it to better fit our needs.
Cons: Reports were a little lacking, especially accounting.

Pros: I loved how I had the easy of our entire roster in the palm of my hand with the app. They also have great customer service. If I needed help with anything they were there to help answer my questions
Cons: It was a little tricky sometimes with what we needed, but they worked with us to answer those questions and help make those things possible

Great client service, collaborative onboarding was effective and efficient and got us up and running ahead of schedule. It's fun to work with this software and it saves time!
Pros: Employee mobile app, mobile check in/out, having customer emergency contacts and medical info accessible in the field. We also regularly utilized the Communicate feature for daily/weekly correspondence. We can manipulate funboxes and offerings to work for many different types of programs. Payment processing, refunds, rescheduling is all much faster and easier to manage. Exporting rosters and grouping participants by skill level also save time and helps us provide a better customer experience.
Cons: Does not currently integrate with our other customer management system (Little Green Light)

Wonderful! I can always count on the staff and even Allen King to be available to help. They truly appreciate our business and want our experience to be successful.
Pros: The customer service at FunJoin is exceptional. They are always available to help resolve issues or help you navigate the software. They have tons of on-line tutorials and videos that are easy to access and understand. The software itself is pretty easy to learn and use. There are prompts all over the place to help you navigate the system.
Cons: The terminology is different from the standard terminology used in the camping industry. Funboxes and Offerings are not used in other places - at least from my experience.

The decision to change software for my summer camp was a big deal.
Pros: FunJoin's approach to the transition for my summer camp was both professional and personal. They wanted to get to know who we are so they could help us with the transition and enable their software to best support our mission. Even though we have already committed to being a customer, their team continues to reach out in search of feedback as to how they can improve their service!
Cons: A few months ago I would have said the lack of ability to receive quick troubleshooting help when encountering a technical issue... but the company took that feedback during one of our meetings and then rolled out a "help now" option in the bottom corner of their website. Amazing!

I feel like how camp owners mustve felt once cell phones became more popular. Instead of walky talkies there are so many more uses with the cell phone. That's what FunJoin has been for me compared to our old systems.
Pros: The user experience for my staff and my families alike is so smooth. This is only possible when there's an unbelievably talented team on the backend. Not only is the Dev team super savvy at making everything elegant, but the [sensitive content hidden] experience with camps makes it functional too.
Cons: The only cons are they haven't been around enough to solve all my problems. But the [sensitive content hidden] has treated me like a partner and keeps me in the loop what they are building next. There's no doubt they will continue creating solutions for league and camp owners.

So far my experience with the product and tech service has been excellent. They are super responsive, open to changes and updates to make my business run even smoother.
Pros: Mobile app definitely is my favorite feature as a business owner/ manager. It slows for east tracking, recording and communication with customers and staff. They also have a class one customer service and tech support.
Cons: I would say payment partner could offer more paying options.
