Pros: There are may different tools available for sales, design and management. It seems everytime I have a learning session with [sensitive content hidden] I learn something new.
Cons: I haven't found anything yet that I don't like about Magazine Manager. I'm still learning it and love it.

My overall experience has been great. The live chat is a lifesaver and the production workflow tracking saves me so much time over how I used to do it.
Pros: Huge number of ways to pull data. Production work flow is easily tracked and quick to update. Requests for changes in the MM system are welcome and seriously considered when they do updates. Excellent customer service and live chat.
Cons: Since there are so many options, there is a moderate learning curve to master everything. We continue to have a glitch with our emails and are not able to link outbound client/prospecting emails to the MM account.

I think we've been with them for 15 years and they have always been easy and great to work with. We really like them as a company.
Pros: Well organized, great customer support, Good value, fast and reliable. I'm comfortable with the CRM and know our data is safe and it's easy to get help and training when I need it.
Cons: There are too many options on the menus, it's hard to remember where a certain report or option lives.

The quality of Magazine Manager is excellent for sales and publications. The team does their best to respond to issues quickly, and I really appreciate the ongoing support. If I ever miss something new, they always send a training link that I can watch at my convenience—super helpful and easy to fit into my schedule.
Pros: Magazine Manager has been a great addition to my workflow. I really like the platform—it’s intuitive, keeps me organized, and makes it easy to stay on top of priorities. The client tracking and goal-setting tools are especially helpful, and I love having the ability to monitor performance and quickly reference customer history in one place. I’m also looking forward to using more of the production applications as I continue working in the system. Overall, it’s a well-built platform that supports day-to-day efficiency and better long-term planning.
Cons: I do wish there were a way to copy and paste proposals even after they’ve passed the close date, with the ability to update and refresh them as needed.

It works great for us. The support in getting it set up and learning it was great. Also really good training each time we hire someone new.
Pros: Magazine manager was made for publications so it is great for managing both the advertising side and the circulation side. It also helps us do more with our data.
Cons: The one thing I don't like is that you can't map email addresses input through the email upload back to contacts in the CRM. Those two areas are not as connected as I'd like.
James S. · Administrator · Dairy · December 30, 2025
My overall experience with Magazine Manager has been positive! Any questions we've had have been answered very quickly in an easy to understand way - the real stand out is their customer service. Magazine Manager also has a great setup that allows us to do most of our work here without having to use other programs.
Pros: What I liked most about Magazine Manager has been by far the incredible customer support we've received. [sensitive content hidden] in particular has been really fantastic with answering our questions thoroughly & quickly in a friendly manner while always getting back to us very quickly.
Cons: I would also like if the email templates, forms and landing pages were more customizable with the drag & drop features/templates. We would also appreciate more support with magazines that aren't monthly (for example, we run on a 4 week cycle as do many publications)
Amanda S. · Digital Marketing Director · Publishing · December 12, 2025
My experience has been enriching, I like how customized it is and how easy process like contracts and billing have been. Being a topic that usually is a bit complicated due to so many different situation of each client. But they make it clear and facilitate the process wich impact the experience of the client in a positive way.
Pros: I was recently introduced to Magazine Manager, and has been a smooth and friendly use tool. The trainings also have help me understand how to deliver solutions to my clients and costume my communication. Also to keep track of my workflow and keep myself organized. During the trainings, the organizer are friendly and clear.
Cons: Overall for me is a new tool, I love that even though is great, they constantly keep updating and improving, if I could add something, would be adding text as a form of communication with the clients so it can count as activity.
Valerie R. · Assistant Account Executive · Media Production · December 12, 2025
Great. The program works all the time, the support staff are kind and extremely knowledgeable, and our rep [sensitive content hidden] is the BEST!
Pros: It has allowed us to put all our AR in one place. So, when we pull revenue numbers, everything is included without extra work.
Cons: I wish there were secondary sorts for reports. And that I had more control how reports come directly from the system.
Teresa M. · Director of Administration · Publishing · December 12, 2025
The Magazine Manager feels like a system built by people who actually understand how publishing, sales, and operations collide in real life. It’s flexible without being flimsy, structured without being restrictive. Once dialed in, it streamlines communication, workflow management, and customer relationships in a way that supports growth instead of slowing it down. It’s especially strong for teams that want control, customization, and room to evolve.
Pros: The level of customization sets it apart. Magazine Manager allows you to shape the system around how your team actually works, rather than forcing you into rigid workflows. The built in AI tools are genuinely useful, helping streamline communication and refine brand voice, while the overall platform supports organization, scalability, and long term growth.
Cons: Because it’s so customizable, there is a learning curve. Especially for teams that want to jump in fast without configuring workflows first. Some features aren’t immediately intuitive, but once you understand the system logic, it becomes much more powerful.
Adeina M. · Sales and Marketing Coordinator · Marketing and Advertising · December 12, 2025
Magazine Manager has been an absolute game-changer for our free trade publication. Managing our ad inventory, contracts, and clients is effortless because the interface is so easy to use. We've cut down on admin time allowing our sales team to focus entirely on closing deals and fostering client relationships. If you want a smooth, powerful solution for ad sales, go with Magazine Manager. Highly recommend it!
Pros: Magazine Manger's customer support is excellent. Not only do they offer immediate assistance through a chat portal but there are tons of training opportunities available via webinars and back-end videos on the site.
Cons: I wish the sales and production side of the platform were in one place (having a column in the sales order or assets under the main record). I find myself toggling between the two quite often.
Michelle C. · Media Sales and Production Director · Publishing · October 10, 2025
I enjoy using Magazine Manager and would recommend the platform to other publications for its of use and scalability with my colleagues.
Pros: The customizable options in regards to production are invaluable to my team as we deal with a variety of clientele that have different needs.
Cons: The part I like the least is how segmented certain information is, especially contact forms, as information can difficult to ascertain from the job jacket alone.
Carlos M. · Editor · Oil & Energy · July 25, 2025
Overall I am very happy. It is a great sales tool. I really like I can reference it quickly in the car on sales calls
Pros: very user friendly. Order entry and entering notes is very easy. Mobile app is easy to use. Overall it is very good.
Cons: I do wish I could enter an order on the mobile app. Otherwise I have no complaints. Order entry on the laptop is very smooth.
Chris H. · Account manager · Media Production · July 3, 2025
Outstanding. I have used multiple CRM platforms and have found the experience with The Magazine Manager second-to-none.
Pros: Hands down, the best CRM platform for a magazine publisher. The team at Mirabel Technologies is investing heavily in technology (think AI), and the customer support is second to none. If you are considering a switch and want to improve your team's productivity significantly, I highly recommend taking a close look at The Magazine Manager. It seamlessly integrates everything from CRM to production, to accounting, and they are even working on editorial integrations.
Cons: It's challenging to identify a downside to The Magazine Manager, so I have to dig deeper. Sometimes it is like drinking out of a firehose? That can be a good thing—rapid advancements and constantly improving. Minor improvements would be to simplify the ability to merge active accounts without tech support, and create a template to easily create a sales-to-goals dashboard by product for management (team individually).

I have used a number of systems and this is by far the most extensive and easiest to use. There are updates always happening to improve the use, some I like better than others. But overall it's easy to use and I like the reporting options and displays. Even if I have trouble or need to figure something out, I immediately get help by using the chat feature.
Pros: The system is easy to navigate, clear on screen display and fields. Multiple reporting options to choose from.
Cons: Some little changes, just aesthetic - for example, the 'drop down' options - prefer to have them as set on screen options (ie Sales Runsheet). Otherwise nothing to complain about. I get help immediately when needed.
Susan Y. · Business Manager · Publishing · June 27, 2025
As mentioned before it is very extensive. Be prepared to invest some time in setting it up and learning how it works. It is quite intuitive but there is a lot. However, the payback is tremendous in time and financial savings. It is hard especially for small publishers like us but once you experience some of the features you will wonder how you did without it.
Pros: It handles everything for me, proposals, billing, circulation, eblasts, newsletters, marketing etc... Also, you can automate a lot of thing so it says time and is even more efficient than if I hired someone to do some of those tasks.
Cons: As a Canadian publisher with multi currency we had a few glitches with billing and connecting to Quickbooks. However, [sensitive content hidden] have been very good at getting issues fixed and working with you to get what you need out of the software

Magazine Manager has been extremely accommodating to our team and helping us come up with solutions for integrating data into the program.
Pros: Magazine Manager is a robust tool that has allowed our publishing organization to manage multiple aspects of our magazine publishing in one central source, saving us precious hours of duplicated efforts. We have been able to combine sales, sales marketing, editorial, magazine layout, and buyers guide data together. The buyers guide content integration has saved our team countless hours of review and manual updates of our buyers guide data.
Cons: The email build function can bit difficult to use. There have been a lot of updates recently so there has been a bit of a learning curve.
Janice L. · Senior Account Strategist · Publishing · June 23, 2025
So far I have been very impressed with the power of the platform. It handles just about everything we need to do in managing our Magazine publishing business.
Pros: The support from the team is truly outstanding. They consistently go above and beyond, always eager to assist with any questions or challenges that arise. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and positive attitude make a significant difference and create a genuinely collaborative experience.
Cons: The UI can be challenging until you become familiar with the various sections. It would be nice if the UI was a little more modern in design.

I really love it — I’ve tried other CRM systems, and they’re often far too overcomplicated for what you actually need. Magazine Manager strikes the right balance: it’s powerful, but simple and straightforward to use.
Pros: What really stands out is how effortlessly you can find everything you need — the system is intuitive, well-organised, and simply works the way you expect it to.
Cons: Sometimes I find there’s a bit too much information, or I’m not always sure how to use certain features. But I know this mainly comes down to a lack of training on my side, which is why I try to join the webinars each week. I know you bring out a lot of updates but it would be great if you could possibly include a back-to-basics segment as well — just to cover things I might have missed along the way.

Overall - it's been great! MM listens to their customers. MM has taken some of my suggestions/complaints over the years and have made updates. Customer Service is above a 5 star rating - [sensitive content hidden] (our 1st consultant), [sensitive content hidden] (our consultant now), [sensitive content hidden] ! They are amazing and always up for the challenge of my questions and quick to find a solution.
Pros: The automations that have been added. Like the auto convert of proposals and signed copy to client files. Love having a complete system - from orders, production and layout, Marketing emails, comp subscriptions, etc.
Cons: Some of the "accounting" functions. Could be more Accounting friendly. The access to customer portal. We have customers that have issues and are unable to help them unless they give us their password - not sure how that is more secure.
Jen S. · AR and Logistics Manager · Publishing · June 6, 2025
Overall, I'm so glad we joined The Magazine Manager. It's amazing that it's all on the cloud. We joined The Magazine Manager in January and it took us a couple of months to transition fully. I'm so glad we made the change. It really has solved a lot of our problems as a business and The Magazine Manager seems committed to constant improvement.
Pros: Their customer service is phenomenal. I love having a dedicated CRM rep, who feels like she is part of our team. I also love the fact that the software seems to be at a level that is equivalent to the major players in the CRM industry, but yet the company is tailored to the media industry and the customer service feels like we're working with a boutique firm.
Cons: When we suggest changes, we're just one of many clients, all using the same software. So, their triage system feels a little opaque. We have one small but annoying issue that we've been nagging them about since we joined and I just don't know where they are in addressing it and why it's taking so long. I say this hesitantly, as their software is still lightning years ahead of who we left.

We have had great experience since 2018 with Magazine Manager and have seen them grow over the years. Its been nice for us that their employees have always been consistent and training is available to our staff.
Pros: The latest AI features have really been helpful for creating quick templates for all of our products.
Cons: That my quickbooks doesn't connect with it YET.
Ashley R. · COO · Printing · March 7, 2025
The team at Magazine Manager is amazing! Super easy to work with! the software is user friendly and tailored to our unique needs. But the team and support we get from Magazine Manager is top notch! You all are so great to work with and consider you part of our team!!
Pros: I love Magazine Manger! it is a very user-friendly tool for our business. They are always making improvements to better the software. Great Features and they have made it customizable for our needs!
Cons: I can honestly say I have no cons! The team at Magazine Manager is a great support if we end up with any issues and we work it out together!
Leanne R. · Accounts Rec. Clerk · Marketing and Advertising · February 28, 2025
The best! Our trainer Karen takes her time, answers all questions, is very knowledgable.
Pros: user friendly, easy to recognize features, on line chat support is the best
Cons: wish the search bar was more like google
Christy D. · Business Develpoment · Newspapers · February 28, 2025
We've partnered with Magazine Manager for almost 10 years now, and my publisher knows not to even bother to suggest changing to another CRM. I can quantify (and assign revenue to) ways Magazine Manager and Marketing Manager have made us more efficient and more successful. That is a rare thing and I am not about to give it up!
Pros: I have so many positive things to say about Magazine Manager, but when people ask me for a recommendation, I focus on the 3 most important reasons we love working with them--ease of use, responsive and knowledgeable customer service, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The customer service is what keeps us sold, and new features help us make more money. Win-win!
Cons: The only thing I don't like about Magazine Manager is the integration with Outlook. I am constantly telling people to "use their bcc!" because we are not gmail-based.
Linda C. · Director of Sales · Publishing · February 21, 2025
Experience is very positive, I can navigate through the software very easily!
Pros: The Magazine Manager has been great for my business. It is organized, user friendly and I am so happy to be using this CRM!
Cons: I don't have any cons, it's been very easy to work on.
