Momence works well day to day when things are running smoothly — the class management, custom questions, and backend navigation are solid. However, when a critical failure occurred it became clear the support infrastructure hasn’t kept pace with the platform’s growth. Small business owners depend on their software working reliably and on being taken care of when it doesn’t. On both counts, Momence fell short when it mattered most.
Pros: Fairly priced at $250/month for what it offers. The software is straightforward to learn and easy to navigate once you know the backend. Class booking works well, and the custom intake questions are genuinely useful for segmenting a diverse client base. As a site plugin it looks clean and professional.
Cons: A payment capture failure caused transactions to appear successful at checkout while nothing was actually collected on the studio side — yet charges appeared on my clients’ end. My staff had no way of detecting this. I was sent around a support loop that lacked urgency, contacted by 10+ different agents with no continuity, and received no proactive communication for over a week. Once resolved, I was advised to re-approach clients for payment with no explanation of what went wrong. When I submitted a documented damage claim, the billing team offered fixed compensation, refused escalation, and closed the conversation. For a platform whose core function is processing payments, this fell significantly short. The external booking page also feels inconsistent with the rest of the site experience. This is not the first time I’ve encountered reliability issues with the platform.

Terrible experience. Do not recommend. So much time wasted trying to figure out the product without help from onboarding.
Pros: I liked that it had the potential to streamline operations, CRM, enrollment and booking, appointment management, leads. It was supposed to be an all in one platform.
Cons: Terrible onboarding experience. Onboarder launched me before everything was set up and ready to go. Product was not easy to use. Client support was days away. I was continued to be charged after canceling the service. Sales team was not truthful in what the software could do.

Overall, my experience was disappointing. Momence has a lot of potential, but it feels like a platform that’s still in development. I spent too much time troubleshooting issues, re-doing tasks, and chasing support for solutions. If reliability and seamless operations are important, there are other platforms that offer a smoother, more dependable workflow. Momence just wasn’t stable or intuitive enough for my needs.
Pros: The concept behind Momence is great; An all-in-one platform for scheduling, memberships, events, and communication. The interface is clean, the customer-facing pages look professional, and the automation options have real potential. When everything works, it can streamline a lot of operational tasks.
Cons: The platform is very buggy, and features don’t always work the way they’re advertised. Managing classes, memberships, and customer data often feels clunky, and the navigation isn’t intuitive. Reporting tools are limited and sometimes inaccurate, which makes decision-making harder. The biggest frustration, though, is the customer support; slow response times, inconsistent answers, and very little proactive help when something breaks. For a platform that’s supposed to simplify scheduling and client management, it often creates unnecessary friction.

Lame. horrible. torturous .disappointing. I was brushed over lied to and the worst- Stolen from. I kept getting passed from one representative to another until someone would say "we'll call you tomorrow" then they wouldn't.
Pros: Momence is updated/current.
Cons: Absolutely EVERYTHING! They are not paying me my money which I have 5 months of proof of and suddenly nobody is available to speak with about this dispite my countless attempt to resolve. They do not send out emails to clients after their first class even thought they said they would. You can't ring up two items at the same time if one item. is discounted. AND you can't cancel memberships they can only be "frozen". Also if you cancel a class it will appear on your website for eternity.

Pros: - The interface looks modern on the surface. .
Cons: - Fraudulent inducement — sales team misrepresented integrations. - Wasted weeks setting up only to learn the platform couldn’t deliver. - Sent a fake deletion letter signed only as “Authorized Representative.” -Refused to sign a proper certification with a real name/title. -Evasive “Momence Legal” emails instead of accountability. - Not a trustworthy appointment scheduling platform.

Pros: I appreciated the image of the platform, the user interface, ease of use, and the booking experience.
Cons: The customer service. It was slow, sometimes taking more than one week to resolve a situation. When I would ask questions through support, I was occasionally given false information resulting in a sales loss.

great as long you don't need anything from the staff.
Pros: Great interface and software. User-friendly for both staff and employees, well designed. The app is great but it's very expensive to use stripe for payments. it's 2.3% of turnover. Nonetheless kind of good.
Cons: The support is close to useless. They promised the world. (We were we clubfit and we went to Momence with [sensitive content hidden] and the team, promising a seamless support, but the only seamless thing is the 2k a month they take out of our bank account. They staffed up the migration, facebook and leads didn't match correctly and still today it's a mission to get help with anything that is not already in the self help question.

The transition from Mindbody to Momence happened over 1 weekend transferring the data of over 20,000 customers. I was very impressed. I love how my team can use the customer support function instead of coming to me. And since converting, we have been able to hit all of our benchmarks. As a business owner, tools like this help our organization focus on creating high quality service and better customer care.
Pros: My front desk team loves its ability to have anyone on my team communicate with clients and we can all see the history. This allows our team to streamline our efforts and the client feel well taken care of. They also appreciate how easy the POS is and the accuracy of payment processing. I also love its integration with META and Google for our Marketing efforts (Leads Funnels, Analytics, integrated forms, etc.) The Teachers love it for the Substitution feature, How it seamlessly integrates into their Google Calendars, and how they can verify the accuracy of their payroll.
Cons: The bookkeeping function is not helpful because you don't really need all that transactional detail in your books. If you need to see where the revenue is coming from, you can just pull up the reports in Momence.

TERRIBLE. I wish I had the past 4 months of my life back and I know no one who likes it. They lock you into a 12 month contract and basically extort money from you.
Pros: Nothing, it has only increased our workload instead of reducing it! Nothing works and we have to fix issues daily.
Cons: The lack of support. They send you token emails saying they will support you for fixes and don't. They over promise and under deliver. Terrible company to deal with, terrible product to use.
Brian B. · Operations · Health, Wellness and Fitness · February 19, 2025
Super user-friendly! Very quick and easy to book each time I need to book a session.
Pros: Love this app! I use it to book yoga classes at my local studio and have never experiences an issue. Also the aesthetic is marvelous.
Cons: I have nothing negative to comment on this app.

It is worth it if you're paying for it, but it became much more difficult to find value in it in the basic plan
Pros: I love that they are actively developing it and constantly have new features available
Cons: I recently had to downgrade due to change in my studio. What they promised me a few months ago ended up being incorrect by the time of my downgrade to the basic plan
Whitney W. · Owner · Health, Wellness and Fitness · December 18, 2024
The reporting is terrible and for anyone running a business who needs to know their metrics this is not the software to buy. I own a small personal training gym and we are constantly trying to figure out workaround’s as I think the software must be designed for completely different businesses than the one I run. The reports are next to useless and there are so many metrics I am looking for that I cannot get access to.
Pros: Easy to get a chat agent. It’s a bit less expensive than if you go with one of the more established small business software providers
Cons: Chat agents are often very unfamiliar with the software so it takes a long time to get and answer. In the several times that my issue has been upgraded to the Email team. I’ve been told they would be in touch with within the next few hours. To date I’ve never heard from anyone on the email team. I’m not sure if it even exists.

Stay clear as a small business! I've been trying to cancel my business account since October and was charged again today. I will now have to begin disputing charges on my credit card. There is no way to remove payment information, and when someone rarely responds to my request to cancel my business account, it is all talk and no action.
Pros: There isn't much to like. Although they were very responsive when I set up my business nearly two years ago, it was all downhill from there.
Cons: There is a lack of support and customer service. There is no easy way to cancel a business account. I've been trying to get someone to cancel my account for two months. In the meantime, I keep getting charged monthly, and I'm no longer using it.
Jennifer B. · Founder and Director · Health, Wellness and Fitness · December 10, 2024
Overal do not recommend if you make less than 100,000k USD per year. The application fees and the customer service is BS.
Pros: The company was great when they first started with very few hick-ups here and there. HOWEVER
Cons: ZERO Notice to changes in features in your plan. Requiring upgrades constantly. Requiring new upgrades while still charging application fees to the owner
Julie S. · Operator · Retail · November 19, 2024
Momence oversold and underdelivered. in the 6-7 months we've been a customer its actually gotten worse for us bc they no longer offer phone support - so getting ahold of someone who can actually help usually means emailing the co-founder, who will reply with brief non-answers that basically translate to : yes we hear you, no we don't care.
Pros: clean interface is pretty much the only thing that's a pro, and the cons monumentally outweigh any pros. If you're considering momence, please for your time/sanity/wallets sake... DONT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM
Cons: $8e

Pros: Its very simple to use. They also are easy to work with if you need any customer support. Its a great experience for admins and users
Cons: Sometimes the bookings arent instant on the admin side so people check in and we don't have their booking, but its not common
Jordan G. · Studio Host · Health, Wellness and Fitness · October 29, 2024
Momence has been a fairly simple platform to use with quite a bit of functionality - scheduling , livestreaming, payment processing - for our health/wellness arm of the business
Pros: Extremely easy to use from the administrative side
Cons: Clients occasionally report glitches in payment processing as well as receiving links to class signups at the beginning of their payment cycle - this has been an ongoing issue and has always been resolved, but sometimes it has taken up to 5 days to resolve
Rachel P. · Physical Therapist, Pilates Instructor, Operations Manager · Hospital & Health Care · October 28, 2024
Customer service makes the whole experience deeply frustrating. They could introduce tiers of priorities for queries. And have at least one actual developer to hand. They could have extra VIP support for a fee... So much that could be done.
Pros: Easy-ish to set up and manage. Easy to embed on website. Basic immediate support for the easier questions. Regular features. Economical compared to most booking systems. Momence are constantly improving and changing things.
Cons: $8f
Kary S. · Director · Health, Wellness and Fitness · October 23, 2024
Seems like customer service has no idea what to do. Has no idea how their system works. Until you get higher up or work with people who are on the manger side of things, good luck getting anything figured out through chat or email. Talk to a supervisor to get somewhere.
Pros: I like the texting and in app features. That is about all.
Cons: We moved to momence because they "SOLD" us on we are so much better than wellness living. That won't happen here. Don't worry you will love this softeware more because its newer. Ever since we became customers it has been Thanks for your business, talk to you later. Billing issues, App issues, Software outages, Clients not being billed properly. Reports not working. Wish we would have stayed with Wellness living! At least the issues would have been the same and we would have been in the boat we are in without paying more for a system and software that we were told was better than WL. Don't recommend them. You get what you pay for and there are far better options than momence.
Jesse S. · Owner · Consumer Services · September 30, 2024
Pros: The user interface. The ease of integration with my website,
Cons: Looks promising, but the support is atrocious! For two months, I was repeatedly assured that the support team was investigating a simple issue. During this time, my business suffered significant losses due to a non-functional tracking feature. Despite their claims of "looking into it," there were no updates or evidence of any real effort. Maybe they prioritize bigger clients over smaller businesses? We don't make millions per year. If support matters to you, do NOT choose Momence. A non-technical friend resolved the issue in just 12 minutes – an easy fix that Momence’s technical team failed to identify after months of supposed investigation.

Momence support is poor. Their staff are not well trained to resolve issues when they arise. We also frequently get charged more than what is stipulated in our contract and have to contact them for refunds.
Pros: Momence is a rudimentary software for fitness businesses. They present themselves well and is simple to use if you don't have many clients or classes scheduled.
Cons: over time there have been multiple issues and glitches in the software. They can take months to respond and with our latest issue, it has been 2 months with no follow up even though they have said it's been escalated and put on high priority. I hate to think how slow low priority is. With other software we have used, a late cancellation would usually mean a lost credit however, we have noted multiple clients who have been able to rebook with their credit after a late cancellation. We were also overcharged by over $10000 once which was another mess. I could go on and on with all the issues we have faced. Any pros are most definitely outweighed by the cons.

Pros: It used to be good 2+ years ago. Something drastic has changed and it’s very disappointing.
Cons: Customer service and support is beyond a joke.
Jill S. · Owner · Research · April 25, 2024
Pros: Momence is a great tool for running your yoga studio or fitness facility. The interface is easy to use and it was easy for clients to book their classes.
Cons: Be very careful about the content you are uploading to Momence. When I signed up for their video on demand service, they never communicated to me that I could not redownload my content. Due to limited space, I deleted my original recordings (mostly classes recorded from Zoom). When I left Momence, I wanted to take that content back. They told me it “wasn’t possible”. I’ve never put content on a platform that didn’t allow me to download that piece of content. They snidely told me they “weren’t a cloud service”. I feel like they stole my intellectual property. Be careful if you’re using their on-demand to save EVERYTHING.
Kari D. · Owner · Health, Wellness and Fitness · March 25, 2024
I think Momence is a great tool, I think the team is great overall, and they are very attentive to customers needs and take on feedback. I think there is a higher focus on gyms and other event based businesses than appointment based businesses and a higher focus on fitness and "wellness" over health (e.g physios and medial massage) so something to consider. A couple of my leaves are 1) the payment processor fees are very high 2) the limited options for payment integrations and 3) no HIPCAS or HealthPoint health fund claims integration 4) subscription fees are in US so you are paying extra for that from concession fees 5) which I think has been the biggest let down by far was the migration. It's left a very bitter taste in my mouth, and I think the worse part is the lack of genuine care shown for how the gaps in the migration processes affects business owners, the lack of ownership of the gaping holes in the process and what seems like no desire to even consider reviewing the process for improvement.
Pros: I love the simplicity, the elegance of the app, the richness of features and the pace at which they make changes. I also love the availability of support both chat and phone. I love that the product and dev teams act on feedback quickly. I think its fairly well priced for the feature set and if they keep improving at the pace that they are then I'm looking forward to the future.
Cons: The biggest draw back for me was the data migration. I'm utterly disappointed that 1) they did not disclose how limited there import approach was, in fact it was the opposite 2) it seemed like they let me put a tonne of instructions to gather to placate me, then they promptly ignored a lot of it 3) decision were made on my behalf (e.g. they imported my appointments as events, they showed the appointments payment as taken by the person that imported them on the date of the import rather that the original data) 4) the team didn't think to look at anomalies or confirm anything with me or do any data checks or reviews before committing the data it's been 2 months and my data is still useless. The thing the migration team did really well which I thank them for is consolidating duplicates and importing our gift cards.

I have had a very positive experience with Momence. It took a bit to retrain my senior members to work the new platform when I switched from another product, but most people just coming into the experience say it is very straightforward and easy to navigate.
Pros: They are pro active at keeping the software updated and adding new features that enhance the customer experience and the admin experience.
Cons: Sometimes I have to do a workaround if an instructor wants something that the software just isn't set up for. But I have always been able to find a workaround.
