Overall assetbots is excellent and helps us keep track of our laptops & camera equipment and the fact it’s included in the Mosley subscription makes for free it great value for money too!
Pros: Super easy to use and add new assets. We have rental setup depreciation and this is really beneficial to our business to keep track of how much our equipment is worth.
Cons: The assets seem to shuffle around when you go through them using the arrows and make changes which can make it a bit confusing to move through your assets

We haven't used AssetBot for a time but we like it so far, the setup was easy and we very much like it's included with our Mosyle subscription. Can't wait to play around with it more
Pros: I like the integration with Google and Mosyle MDM - this means Assets added to Mosyle are auto added & assigned to their asset
Cons: a few of the automation bots like the one for sending emails to assignees could be included in the base tier

Is a very nice integration with Mosyle! Reservation system isn't where we would want it to be. That is why we wanted to try it out but we do like using it to keep track of the assets we have.
Pros: Asset inventory - easy space to keep track of everything we have and manage where they are. Also integration with Mosyle made setup very easy.
Cons: No true reservation system. We need a system where a someone can go to a link and request a reservation of an asset type and then we as admin can go in and approve/edit the reservation. The current system with a kiosk isn't convenient for someone who doesn't have an account or for us to have set up for future reservations. Just seems to be an immediate checkout for the moment instead of "reserving" it. Just not where we need it to be for how we work.

My onboard trainer was exceptionally well versed in the product and genuinely excited to teach me how to use the product to accomplish my goals.
Pros: I really appreciate the Assetbots platform for tracking my IT equipment. It is very simple to use but also very powerful. Even the free version includes free high quality onboarding with a one on one expert.
Cons: I have not found anything I don't like about the program so far. I just wish I would have found this program sooner.

Definitely an upgrade over the very manual tracking we were doing to this point. Being able to automatically sync in 90% of our assets was great.
Pros: The integration with Mosyle was great. Took a while to update in the console but that's very convenient since we are primarily an Apple device shop. The ability to add non-Apple assets is nice as long as you're willing to do the data entry. Being included in our Mosyle subscription made it a no brainer.
Cons: Manually entering the non-Apple assets is time consuming and the initial sync from Mosyle took long enough that I wasn't sure it was working or not.

Pros: Integration with MDM providers like Mosyle works great. Ability to set up a kiosk for self-service device checkout is very helpful.
Cons: I would like to be able to customize things a little bit more with regards to the checkout kiosks, but that's not a deal breaker. Searching can sometimes be a little bit hit or miss.

Importing the information and making the fields match has been a bit of a headache. I still don’t fully understand how devices, people, and locations are connected. I also need support in Spanish, but it’s only available in English
Pros: It seems easy to use, but when I upload the databases, sometimes I can’t get the fields to match, or the information gets rearranged
Cons: There are several integration tutorials, but on YouTube I only found two videos. I can’t find a step-by-step guide or a clear explanation on how to import my existing data. The instructions always start with: create your list of employees, devices, locations, costs…

Assetbots have been an extreme help in being able to track our assets in one spot. We went from having multiple spreadsheets to one online system that tracks everything! The easy use of the technology makes it easy for all of our franchises to keep things in order. My favorite feature is the timeline of each equipment. It is a wonderful way for us to know who has had what computer/monitor at what time.
Pros: I like how easy it is to use for asset management. Previously, we have used 4 different spreadsheets to track all of our company assets. Now it is all in one spot.
Cons: It can be difficult to get a hold of someone for assistance. Sometimes it is so much easier to do some trial and error when trying to figure out what we need.

Assetbots has been really good for our needs, tracking Mosyle-enrolled machines with a few other assets that go with them
Pros: I liked how straightforward the setup wizard was, and its wonderful integration with Mosyle made Assetbots the perfect choice to us!
Cons: Sometimes the many sub-menus can be hard to find, and pages like "Edit Categories" are hidden in non-expected places

Overall I'm satisfied with it. The tool updates instantaneously and is very responsive, which are huge pluses! The integrations also make it a win.
Pros: The simplicity and speed. The search tool is quick and easy to use. It integrates with Mosyle as well, so our devices are automatically imported and checked in, which is a huge time saver!
Cons: Filtering for specific groups of assets can be complex. If you want to find all available items of a certain category in a certain location, you have to create a specific group for that and multiplying those takes time.

Overall, my experience with Assetbots has been great — it’s easy to use, works seamlessly with our existing tools, and just makes sense to keep using.
Pros: Assetbots was incredibly easy to set up! I knew we needed an asset tracking solution, and since we already use Mosyle, Assetbots was the perfect fit. The setup automatically pulled in all devices from our MDM and even let us track items outside of it, simple, fast, and effective.
Cons: I still need to spend some time fine-tuning automation, customizing the fields, and adding some Windows devices and other miscellaneous items — but overall, I haven’t encountered any major downsides.

We've had a great experience so far with AB! The value for the cost is great, we pay 1/3 of what we did at a previous asset management system and have found the ease of use and UI to be a big step up.
Pros: Ease of use, integration with mosyle. We moved from another platform to AssetBots and found it easier to use and maintain our assets.
Cons: I wish it would offer LTI with other MDMs that we use. We love the integration with mosyle and adding more LTI options would be huge.

Overall, it was good. I like how many assets I can add all at once, compared to other asset management tool software.
Pros: I like how simple and easy it is to add assets, from scanning serial numbers to creating asset tags.
Cons: I don't like the fact that I can't add a logo to my custom asset category. If I create a new category, the default logos stay.
Jose G. · Technical support · Higher Education · July 17, 2025
It's extremely easy to navigate the experience on the platform. It makes the ability of adding and managing your items a breeze. I love the way it creates the asset tags a breeze and gives me an all in one asset management system for our assets.
Pros: This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for in an asset management platform. I've wanted to be able to include: Tags, Filters, Reservations, checking in and out of equipment and a kiosk mode. This platform is EVERYTHING I had in mind and more. Plus, it has the reporting mode to track the history of the items.
Cons: There isn't really anything that I have seen that I do not like about it. The only thing I'd say is the filtering of items to a specific database should be allowed to include more of the categories instead of having to filter via the labels. I do think the mobile view could improve.

We were 4 days away from purchasing a new asset system when we heard that Mosyle and AssetBots had partnered up. We decided to take a quick look into AssetBots to determine if it was a viable product for our needs. While it didn't have every feature we were focused on from our original choice, it had many features we were not expecting and that were more beneficial. It also proved to be at least partially customizable so that we could add features to the product. The ability for us to track what students had paid a technology fee was critical for us and AB allowed us to add that as a user-field, thus fulfilling that need. Price was also a huge concern for us as a public school district. While the free-Mosyle version would have probably been adequate for our needs, we are choosing to upgrade for more features and available assets to track.
Pros: I've only been using Assetbots for a few days, but perhaps the best feature of the software is the interconnectedness with our MDM, Mosyle. The vast majority of the assets that we track in IT are our iPads and MacBooks and all of these are automatically tracked, updated, and processed directly through Mosyle. We haven't yet activated the Microsoft integrations, but are looking forward to experimenting in that area.
Cons: One issue that I have identified is the lack of ability to easily make bulk changes to groups of assets. For example if I want to change all devices with a certain model or feature to have a different product category. Currently the only way to do it is to export to Excel. Change data in the Excel file, and then reimport it back in.

Very positive! We are very happy to be a part of the Assetbots system.
Pros: It's convenient and easy to use. Provides an efficient inventory management experience.
Cons: We have nothing to offer in terms of cons.

Overall, my experience has been positive. It’s a solid tool for managing and organizing inventory. However, while it covers the basics very well, it lacks more advanced customization features that would make it even more powerful for IT teams with specific needs.
Pros: What I liked the most about Assetbots is how intuitive and user-friendly the interface is. It makes inventory tracking and device management very easy. The integration with platforms like Mosyle works smoothly, which is a big plus for environments like schools.
Cons: The biggest downside is the limited customization options. There are many settings, fields, or rules that can’t be tailored to match the specific needs of an organization. It would be great to have more flexibility to personalize workflows and automation.

Overall I am extremely pleased with the service that Assetbots offers. I have been able to move away from our spreadsheet and rely solely on the integration that Assetbots has with Mosyle.
Pros: I like being able to manage all of our assets in one location. This includes our apple and windows devices, in additional to laptops and tablets. It's a one stop shop.
Cons: The initial integration was challenging, but support assisted me in sorting out those issues.

Really great! I had a really good onboarding call with [sensitive content hidden], and he was able to answer all of my questions. I'm excited to keep adjusting it and getting it to where we need it to be!
Pros: The UI Is BEAUTIFUL. So easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. I also really like the Mosyle integration.
Cons: I think it has some growing to do. Integrations with other MDM's would be helpful so I can recommend it to more of my clients. Jamf would be great.

Fantastic, it does everything we need from a Asset management tool
Pros: The creation of a kiosk and that we can send the agreement via email. Simple yet functional
Cons: Is not fully sinc with Mosyle, if a asset is checked out for a user it doesn't sync with mosyle
Ivan M. · Tech Consultant · Education Management · February 6, 2025
Overall, it feels like a promising product, but it needs more investment to address issues, which would significantly enhance its capabilities
Pros: It's a good product, so far better than most I've used in the past. Easy to learn fast. I was able to connect it to Mosyle and Google Directory in under 15 minutes.
Cons: The support hours aren’t ideal for customers in Asia, Europe, and Australia, as they are primarily optimized for the U.S. There are several small bugs in the system—some areas fail to save data, while others work as expected. Additionally, the onboarding process for invited users is quite lengthy. The Mosyle API import needs improvement, as it currently groups MacBooks and iMacs under a single ‘Computer’ category. The system also lacks batch processing, and while there’s an import option, it only works if the device is assigned to a user. This is problematic since many assets, like network switches, computer labs, and classroom projectors, aren’t tied to individuals.

My experience with Assetbots is quite exceptional.
Pros: Assetbots is extremely easy to use and is quite intuitive. The overall layout, as well, is very nice and aesthetic.
Cons: I wish that there was a guest checkout option for assets, where they list their name, but it wasn't kept in the system after checking back in an item.
Jacob R. · Costume Organizer · Fine Art · June 5, 2024
Pros: For me, the best thing about Assetbots is how easy it is to implement and use it. That is such an important foundation for a great software and it makes you eager to explore what it is capable of doing. After almost 1 year of using it, it has not disappointed me in any way. I really like how easy it was to input all our assets in there, and how simple is it to check them in and out to our staff. Being able to check the timeline of the assets is also a great feature!
Cons: The one thing I sometimes struggle with while using Assetbots is the search bar. Sometimes it won't show me what I am looking for, even though I know it is there, and I just end up having to look for it in different ways.
Maria G. · Program Equipment Coordinator · Non-Profit Organization Management · May 16, 2024
The experience has been great, the customer has been prompt and has assisted in getting our set up optimised.
Pros: It makes it clear and simple to categorise and manage assets and allows our wider team to self serve. This is an efficient way of working that allows accountability for individual team members. Assetbots has increased productivity and workflow leading to a smoother system for our business environment.
Cons: A little bit more of a how to or tutorial on the site as some of the features I’ve had to stumble across or google.
Tom S. · Digital Skills Facilitator · Education Management · May 16, 2024
It seemed very promising at the start. We ran into some minor limitations with permissions and it doesn't quite work for us yet, especially for the cost. But we will keep a close eye in the future and hopefully will fully migrate over.
Pros: The interface is very clean and lines up well with what we have been searching for. All of the core functions are there, including an API and integrations with Azure/Google.
Cons: No native mobile app. The web version has a lot of left / right table scrolling on a phone. The licensing model is very stingy when it comes to number of assets. Where most other systems give you thousands, you only get a few hundred here for the same cost.
