My experience with CharmHealth has been excellent. It has streamlined our workflow and reduced the time spent on administrative tasks. The software is reliable, the pricing is transparent, and the support team is responsive. It’s a powerful tool that grows with your practice.
Pros: The interface is incredibly intuitive and makes managing patient charts and scheduling seamless. I love that it is a comprehensive, all-in-one cloud-based solution. The patient portal is a huge plus, allowing for easy communication and document sharing, which has significantly improved our practice's efficiency and patient engagement.
Cons: The platform is so feature-rich that it can feel a bit overwhelming at the very beginning. While the customization options are a strength, they do require some initial time to set up exactly how you want them. However, once the initial configuration is done, it runs very smoothly.

Overall, i think CHarmHealth is very easy and cost-effective to use in small to medium clinics. It is easily accessible for both healthcare practitioner and the patient while managing their privacy and security. CharmHealth might lag few times during rush times and the customer service can take long to respond back. However, i personally love using CharmHealth and i have recommended it to my known doctors, RNs and RPNs.
Pros: CharmHealth is easy to use for small to medium clinics. It has very simple layouts which are easy to learn and understand. It is reliable when it comer to privacy as all the information is stored safely. As a student nurse i believe that patient privacy is very crucial and should be always maintained. Patient management through health history, reports, notes, summary, prescriptions are easy to add and update in CharmHealth. Patient portal is also very simple which helps them to access their own record easily. Staff can make, cancel and move appointments easily with just few clicks. While patient can also book their appointments online which helps to manage time.

Cons: However, system slowdown is a problem that i have faced a few times. When i try to load big files and charts the system starts lagging which is quite frustrating. This problem can cause problem in big clinics when there is a rush time. Customer support help also can be better. As the support system takes a long time to reply sometimes. Moreover, CharmHealth is cheap but if the clinic requires more feature to enhance the platform it can become costly.

Used Charm x 8 years- overall ok unless support is needed for an issue. Support w/ answering the phone and talking to an agent is offered but they often cant fix the issue, need an engineer, and this is where the breakdown occurs. Past 3 months controlled eRX issue on back end. Charm not fixing effectively. I would not recommend this. I would chose a different platform if I was starting over. I will update this if they correct the issue and provide fair response/compensation to the 3 months of disrupted service and hours of time I have spent reaching out for support.
Pros: Charged per note rather than monthly. Able to customize the appointment note, store documents to send to patients.
Cons: Electronic controlled substance prescribing did not renew properly. Support completely ineffective. I have spend the past 3 months calling, emailing, chatting w/ AI- hours of communication to get this resolved. Mistake after mistake from Charm's engineers resulted in over 3 months of severe disruption to my practice. Ignoring requests, not emailing or calling back when I was told they would and still no appropriate response to the 3 months of disrupted service. No accountability, responsibility.

Very positive overall. Since I first started using years ago, they continue to make positive improvements.
Pros: All the integrations within the EHR that are available to help streamline workflow. Ease of use and setup.
Cons: It seems that patients cannot view their whole patient summary, only part of it. If patient is uploading documents, should be able to do without hitting ok to share.

Easy setup and customization, intuitive charting. I like that it is customizable for integrative medicine.
Pros: Easy to use and customize, love the integration with FullScript. In theory, I also love the integration with Quest labs.
Cons: Having trouble with Quest integration that no one can help me troubleshoot, the telemed provider is expensive and not reliable (connection is never stable).
Sarah O. · Naturopathic Physician · Health, Wellness and Fitness · May 27, 2025
Liked the idea of a fully integrated EHR and scheduling and payment system. But the tech issues and lack of support recently and overpriced payment processing platform is adding up to more hassle than value at this time.
Pros: I used to like the product a lot more than recently. Liked the online scheduling until they had issues with their capcha constantly causing problems for patients attempting to book so they now call the office which is exactly opposite of what we want out of online scheduling.
Cons: Customer support is terrible. Based out of India and takes more than 3 days to get help. Then the responses are mildly helpful at best and do nothing to actively fix your issues. Even when speaking with a supervisor about my login issues recently they showed zero concern about how it affected my practice and didn't seem to want me as a client at all.

Horrible customer service and they nickel and dime you for every service they offer. No flat rate for messages so you can spend a fortune on reminders.
Pros: price is great compared to other EMRs but you get what you pay for..
Cons: Customer service is practically non existent. IF you need them and call they 10/10 times can't help and will tell you to email support which takes 24-48 hrs for a response. I have been locked out without access and noone could fix for several days.

Really could not wait to get a better software for SLPs.
Pros: Fully customizable templates for evaluations and therapy. It does have a ton of analytics which was nice.
Cons: Not streamlined at all as far as client flow goes, not created for therapists, the documents had odd subsections that you could not change. All of the options in settings for the EMR were heavily MD/PCP focused, not SLP.

I have used for the past 3 years and absolutely love it. They are always upgrading to include and offer more features on both provider and patient side. Great system integration as well.
Pros: user friendly and multiple features with transparent pricing. They are always upgrading to include and offer more features on both provider and patient side. Great system integration as well. Easy setup and plenty of how to videos available on YouTube.
Cons: Support could be a tad friendlier and engaging
Patricia N. · NP-Provider · Health, Wellness and Fitness · January 23, 2025
If they had good customer support, some way to talk to humans in-real-time, and to escalate to support team members that actually understand the platform, it would be nearly perfect.
Pros: For reference, I am a solo practitioner - so I do everything myself. I know how to set up a hyper efficient clinic and I know clinical workflows from both the physician and admin ends. I am also a full-stack web developer, so I know code and I know tech. I have done deep dive evaluations of most of the EHR's designed for small practices and functional medicine. Overall, Charm is one of the most flexible and customizable EHR's out there, and for a tiny fraction of the price, and it is the one I have used for 10 years. I was an early adopter (I think I signed on in their first few years). I have watched the platform grow and improve (though some parts have gotten worse). If you are willing to put in the time to customize your experiene you can do a lot with templates and questionnaires.
Cons: $8d

Frustrating. The tutorials are useless and don't actually help you get up and going. I'm extremely grateful I have another source of income, or I'd be destitute after how many months I've had to go without reimbursement.
Pros: As far as EMRs go, as a solo provider this is a good option. It's affordable and fairly easy to get up and going. It's pretty bare bones, but I've liked it FAR more than Simple Practice, which I found to be so clunky I've switched to Charm.
Cons: The customer service!! You can only contact support via email, and it takes at least a week for any reply. They are NEVER proactive and if you don't know to ask every single minute detail in advance, it won't get done. It's been infuriating and after four months seeing patients, I still haven't been able to bill insurance, all because of Charm!! It has been AGONIZING every step of the way.

Good, overall. Support team were good and the platform is pretty easy to use.
Pros: I like the appointment reminders feature and the integration ease for websites to enable self-booking for patients.
Cons: No ability to line graph GAD-7 or PHQ-9, which is obnoxious.
Daniel H. · PMHNP · Health, Wellness and Fitness · October 30, 2024
Pros: For the most part, Charm is user-friendly and easy to navigate. They have lots of settings to help customize your setup, and it has worked well for both the providers and administrators in our practice.
Cons: Messages are not searchable, so old messages among members get easily lost. The invoices tab in the billing page should allow more space for billing-related notes for each patient.
Addie S. · Office Manager · Mental Health Care · October 28, 2024
Pros: Charm is a user friendly, patient friendly, online EMR system. It has many different features that help to automate many tedious tasks and help take the burden off of smaller clinics/teams. We've had an excellent experience with claims and reimbursement working with their billers, RCM.
Cons: Charm occasionally has small bugs, and the specific team assigned to resolve can sometimes take a while to respond to the inquiry. If their investigation doesn't find any issue, there isn't much follow up-- I wish that they would schedule a virtual screenshare to see the issue happen in real time and help resolve user issue.
Matilda F. · Office Manager · Hospital & Health Care · October 22, 2024
I have had a very positive experience with Charm and they have been very receptive to our ideas for additions that have helped customize our charting.
Pros: They customer service and IT people are excellent. They take the time to listen, teach and resolve.
Cons: I feel like the analytics could be more robust and I have learned at Charmalot that it is being worked on.
Julie W. · Ops Manager · Medical Practice · August 24, 2024
I really like Charm Health. I feel like I’m becoming a pro for the office management side and for billing.
Pros: How easy I can get billing done for the practice.
Cons: I can’t get timely answers from support. When I do get an answer, it doesn’t help.
Dawna G. · Biller · Mental Health Care · August 24, 2024
Overall, I am pleased with using Charm. Being able to access the support team whenever I have a need.
Pros: Charm is user friendly and the support staff has been great.
Cons: Knowing how to access all aspects of Charm. As a new user, It wasn't easy to navigate where to go to get help.
Cassaundra G. · Billing Administrator · Health, Wellness and Fitness · August 24, 2024
Pros: I enjoy being able to have access to multiple facilities, and the ability to customize appointments, encounters, and pt portal/demographics. Charm is also very user friendly.
Cons: We are a high volume clinic, needing a more personalized scheduling system. Ex: Max patients scheduled at one time, staff break time block offs where no one can be booked, switching patients to each facility from their appointments page.
Cassandra M. · Operations Manager · Hospital & Health Care · August 24, 2024
Pros: Free, good support, relatively user friendly, customizable
Cons: There is nothing specific I like least about CharmHealth
Amelia S. · Psych ARNP · Hospital & Health Care · August 24, 2024
Great! The clinic workflows enhance patient care and efficiency in the office.
Pros: Charm is easy to use. The EHR supports clinic work flow.
Cons: We needed to customize reports and charm team was helpful
Kelsey K. · President , Naturopathic Physician · Health, Wellness and Fitness · August 24, 2024
Pros: Access to analytics and metrics promotes realtime awareness
Cons: Print size is too small where the catogorized menus are
Sandra A. · Office Manager · Hospital & Health Care · August 23, 2024
Overall the experience was all right. I have used better emr systems, but I have also used worse ones.
Pros: I liked the calendar. It made finding patients and daily appointments easy. I also enjoyed that you could filter it by location or provider to get the most use out of it.
Cons: I disliked that it did not integrate easily with some of the products that we used and we had to upload somethings by hand.
Grant J. · Operations Coordinator · Hospital & Health Care · August 23, 2024
I regret signing up. I signed up in February of 2024 and do not have all features activated that they have charged me for. They also charge a fee for PDMP and its free to access in my state. They also charge to send text reminders.
Pros: It is easy for my collaborating MD to sign my charts. Ability to have multiple locations.
Cons: The customer service sucks! It takes them forever to address tickets. The erx and EPCS set up has taken more than 4 months for me. I trialed another EHR and I was set to go in a week. They seem pretty nonchalant about ehr issues.
Shaquita S. · CEO · Mental Health Care · August 7, 2024

Pros: The options to customize it to your liking is flexible.
Cons: Untrustworthy with taking money from you account.
Nikita J. · Midwife Apprentice, OB Tech, Doula · Alternative Medicine · May 20, 2024
As a small practice, CharmHealth has been pivotal in our success as setting it up was fast and easy. Customer service is prompt and has solved my problem 100% of the time. They don't rip off or make you pay for unnecessary bells and whistles.
Pros: CharmHealth was very easy to set up and get started in terms of cost and customization. You can change things as you go and add on features the need arises. You don't need to pay for things you don't need. Customer service is easy to reach and responsive. Calendar and payment are built in, so you don't need different contracts/payments or programs to set up with and interface.
Cons: I wish the note was more customizable and labs autopopulated. I would love to use dot phrases because they are much faster than setting up then clicking through to get the right template. I wish I could design tables/flowsheets (ie to compare DXA over the years) that I could pull into the note.
