Praxis EMR

Pros: They have a great costumer support and management team. I like how the software is so smart. My notes are the most completed and note taking is easy.

Cons: Because the software learns from you, you are really customizing the database from scratch. It takes patience to set it all up.

Pros: Speed and accuracy. The learning curve is not difficult. The software seems to think the way I think and works with me not against me.

Cons: That I did not know about it sooner because it makes practice fun! It is enjoyable to leave at the end of the day, knowing that all of the paperwork is completed accurately.

Pros: Great value, Timely Support, implementing AI features/scribing to help with note taking. It’s not Athena or Epic so they actually know who I am.

Cons: Praxis is very customizable almost to a fault. They are not Athena or Epic so updates don’t come weekly.

Pros: What I like most about Praxis is that it learns how I practice. Instead of forcing me into endless clicking, and it adapts to my clinical thinking and style. Over time, charting has gotten faster and more accurate, and I spend less time fighting the system. I’m able to focus on my patients instead of the screen, which has made my days feel more manageable and far less frustrating.

Cons: It’s a powerful system, and once it starts learning how you work, it gets fast. No complaints so far.

Pros: The logic of the concept processor which allows me to build my assessments based on the way that I think. It helps me take better care of my patients. Customer service is excellent. I have spoken to the [sensitive content hidden] many times and he listened to my input. Price is competitive for an EHR.

Cons: I wish it had AI embedded in it and they are currently working on it and I can't wait for it to come out to streamline my charting.

Pros: I especially like that Praxis EMR is customizable. As a primary care physician, I'm able to tailor the EMR specifically to optimize its use in my practice. Also, customer support is top-notch. The Praxis trainer who originally taught me how to use Praxis continues makes herself available for any questions I have.

Cons: Several years ago, Praxis EMR sometimes ran slowly; however, this was corrected by moving from my office server to the cloud, and since the "C-sharp" upgrade a couple years ago, Praxis responds even faster. Praxis EMR is continuously updated, and just keeps getting better and better.

Pros: Customizability is my top priority because I do things differently most of the time. Note taking is much speedier than a traditional template system and also reminds me of what I'm looking for. My brain is literally in this program.

Cons: Very difficult to find one because they are so reactive to our needs. The next phase of AI integration is going to work like I hoped it would so I am pumped.

Pros: Note generator is brilliant. The more you use it, the easier it gets. My notes are more specific to the patient than they would be with templates. Fast, easy, and intuitive.

Cons: Nothing leaps to mind. Great software, great support. Like any software, you have to learn how to use it. But that's easy. Very intuitive.

Pros: Super flexible, allows me to create my own unique EMR to match my practice. That leads to much greater efficiency managing patients, taking quality notes, laboratory interface, navigation through the various tasks of med refills, incorporation of lab values into the record in a streamlined fashion. I could not ask for better customer support and value for my money to make my work flow easier. There are lots of ways to interact securely with the patient portal to deliver information and answer questions as well.

Cons: I like Praxis EMR; it has served me better than any other program I have tried. I would not go back to any other.

Pros: Allows me as a physician to think and work and write as one. It encapsulate your medical knlwledge but still allow you to thi k out of the box.

Cons: None, to a new usser it could be daunting because it makes you practise medicine and requires you to understand it.

Pros: Praxis is intuitive, seamlessly integrates various components of the EMR like scheduling , patient demographics, medical records, consult notes, labs results electronic prescriptions ,medication list among others. Being networked, it also allows simultaneous access to the patient database for multiple users in real time. Of course data could be queried for statistical analysis of the practice and to comply with government regulators mandates.

Cons: Since we started using Praxis in 1999, there were challenges then inasmuch as EMR software was still in its infancy, but needless to say, Praxis successfully evolved over the years to cope with the necessary updates.

Pros: Praxis EMR is a game changer. It helps me chart quickly, efficiently, and effectively. Completing and closing charts has never been easier. It also helps me stay consistent throughout the complete patient experience as it helps me remember what has been done before for patient's with similar presentations.

Cons: There is not really a con. Like all EMRs, there is a learning curve. The difference with Praxis EMR is that while the practitioner is learning the system, the system is learning the practitioner. Once you have completed a new chart, it puts the information that you have compiled into the learning and the next time you have a similar situation all the work that you completed previously is instantly available in the documentation for your new patient.

Pros: Support is very accessible and they are very prompt at responding.The program is user friendly and intuitive and can be made very patient specific.

Cons: There is nothing that we don't like about Praxis. At time the prescriptions get hung up and you can't prescribe two same meds with different doses at the same time.

Pros: Praxis has been great because it has learned how I practice and it adapts to what I do, which makes charting faster and more accurate and easier over time. I definitely spend far less time clicking and documenting, and more time with patients. This EHR has improved my daily documentation and reduced daily frustration.

Cons: After many years in practice and using multiple EHRs, Praxis has done a nice job overall. I am looking forward to the new version.

Pros: I was with Praxis EMR for 22 years (2003-2024) as a solo practitioner. Praxis EMR made possible my practice to be successful and grow over the years. The design of the EMR is wonderful: Praxis able to learn with every new case and really make you feel that you have a partner who is always next to you to help. This EMR has great value for the money spent with great customer support: reliable and responsive when help was needed. Praxis provides ability to keep timely records of interaction between doctor and patient, patient and staff of the office with reliable medical records security. One of the best features of the Praxis is that it gives an ability and extra time to simply talk and interact with patient while doctor is documenting the chart.

Cons: I see a great future for PRAXIS EMR. The concept of learning software is the way to go and Praxis is constantly evolving in this.

Pros: Praxis is truly centered around how physicians think and work. It’s quick, reliable, and adapts to you instead of the other way around. I can work efficiently from anywhere with full access and excellent performance. It saves me time and takes the frustration out of charting.

Cons: Praxis is a powerful system that you personalize at the beginning, and once it learns your style, it becomes incredibly fast and efficient and continues to get smarter with use.

Cons: I had a mission critical issue for Praxis to interact with my seperate brand of practice management software, which was new to them. It took the programmers a month to create an integration module, from the ground up, which will allow integration with future practices to integrate with ANY practice management software within a few minutes. They provided me with the lead software support direct phone line who was available day and night to me. They hashed out the issues with the support team of the other company. Their new integration solution will make your integration with your practice management software a breeze.

Pros: The ability to mold it to what I want as a physician user. You see, a physician can either mold their way of charting to the EMR or the EMR can be molded to the physician's way of charting. Praxis allows the physician to mold the EMR to their own way of charting. This is superb.

Cons: That I did not know about it sooner. It would have taken lots of time off my charting had I known of it sooner.

Pros: Flexibility. Allows a clinic to design it to do a lot of things. It has advanced SQL capability which allows me to run queries on my custom data to produce reports to enhance patient care and services.

Cons: No dissatisfaction with the EMR. You can have it installed bare metal, virtualized, or hosted on the cloud.

Pros: The ease of use and ability to manage/update templates as I am using the program is the best part of the program. I can learn something new, and add it to my template that afternoon! As a provider, I can tell it was created by a practitioner and not just an IT team.

Cons: Praxis is way smarter than I am! I get caught in my old ways and still have a lot of power I could access from the program. Wish all surgical facilities that I work had Praxis as well.

Pros: How I can customize it to fit my and my practices needs.

Cons: It is a little time consuming to get your templates made. But once you have them done it is sooo worth it.

Pros: After years of struggling with click heavy EHRs that felt more like data entry systems than clinical tools, I finally found Praxis, and it changed everything. Most EHRs I used took lots of clicking, drop-down menus, and difficult templates that have nothing to do with patient care. Praxis is the exact opposite. It feels built for physicians, by physicians. With Praxis, I write the way I think, and the system learns from me. Each patient note becomes faster, more personalized, and more meaningful over time. Instead of fitting into someone else’s workflow, Praxis adapts to mine. It has made me more efficient, more thorough, and most importantly, more connected to my patients.

Cons: You need to prime the system at first because the AI needs to build and it’s different from the template-based systems I was used to. But now I’ll never go back. Praxis is far faster and smarter than my other systems.

Pros: PRAXIS works for me.Not Like other EMRs that I had to modify my style or preference doing my notes and documentation. Highly recommended for busy schedule physicians.

Cons: Using PRAXIS for 13 yrs and have gone through upgrades and improvements. Recently switched from our local server to Cloud and have seen a lot of improvements
