Our mid-sized GC moved to Premier from an older system a year ago and have been consistently impressed. Onboarding and implementation was quick and smooth thanks to the team at Premier. Ease of use has been a big plus for our team. Though there are a couple of wrinkles to iron out, frequent updates have improved the experience over time and the team at Premier seems dedicated to continuing to improve the service.
Pros: The system is intuitive. The phrase "That is so much easier than it used to be" was heard frequently around the office in the months following go-live. The service is fairly priced, compared to what we were seeing from competitors while shopping around. Robust canned reporting options and the Job Dashboard makes life much easier for Project Managers and the Accounting team. Premier's support team is quick to help with even the smallest issues.
Cons: No custom reports in the software. We would like to see more integrations with third parties. Also, the mobile app could use some work.
George F. · CFO · Construction · April 7, 2026
I start with the setup; the team is awesome to support, I focus on the full-cycle accounting side, and it works very well. I love this system.
Pros: Efficient for the monthly draw report Project cost report and progress report Working on AI tool to get AP auto coding and post in the future
Cons: Sometimes it takes a while to run, The training article is great, sometimes the video is easier to figure out

Overall we are extremely happy with Premier's system. As an advisory firm with clients over $5M or growing contractors we are recommending the switch to Premier as they pave the path to scalability without building on a stack of cards (outgrown, non-construction facing systems). Additionally, the customer support teams are extremely helpful and they offer custom training programs & dedicated support when needed.
Pros: Premier Construction Software is a reliable source of truth — with no middlemen data agents, it is a native financial & PM ERP with all-in-one capabilities. It provides clear job-level insights, strong reporting options, and excellent customer support. Key features include: Advanced AIA cost-plus billing, pay-when-paid functionality, direct deposit, statutory declaration automation, streamlined workflows, a subcontractor payment portal, and robust security controls (audit logs, roles, and segregation of responsibilities). Powerful job budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tools, along with Excel data imports that make it easy to access your data and produce custom real-time reports. It also allows contractors to build custom forms. This drives collaboration between project managers & accountants, with the visibility to confront the issues head on instead of after the job is complete.
Cons: Premier is constantly improving its product. Premier requires real financial leadership to navigate and absorb all of the key features of its product - which is true for any system.

Great experience. Customer service has been excellent. Whenever we have any questions, they are quickly handled. This has improved our accounting process.
Pros: Premier is easy to use. The reports are outstanding and I appreciate how much time it saves by automating tasks.
Cons: There is not anything we don't like. All functions work as expected and it is nice that updates are included. New features continually get added.

Overall, the staff at Premier are amazing to work with, customer service is the best we have ever dealt with. The software speaks for itself, it cuts your job time in half and it really is the best for construction purposes.
Pros: LOVE how user friendly the software is. Also love that they are always striving to make any improvements needed and staying up to date with current AI or other software.
Cons: For my accounting purposes don't love all the reports you have to run, but like stated before they are already working on creating a new dashboard just for the accounting side.
Katie E. · Accounting Specialist · Construction · January 28, 2026
Very positive. The software is constantly upgraded and provides invaluable construction reports. The financial reporting on a company level is also excellent.
Pros: Premier offers great reports and workflows within the software. We love the various project reports is offers, especially the Job Dashboard.
Cons: There can be the occasional bug but the Premier Team is always ready to help problem solve issues as they arise.
David F. · Financial Controller · Construction · January 20, 2026
It's been a FANTASTIC and POSITIVE change from our previous software. For all staff, Project Management, Accounting, Subcontractors and Contractors. The Mobile App is great for staff members who have cards. The ease of uploading and then approving so accounting doesn't have to manually add is GREAT! Switching over from one software to another wasn't bad at all either! Definitely MAKE THE TIME to Understand and get to know the software as it's easy to navigate and understand so that you may ask all the questions you need to have a better understanding of the features Premier has to offer.
Pros: Accounting wise, I love the fact that I can add batches of Invoices for the same day, and upload all together rather than having to click around. I love that I can add images and notes on the same line as well. The knowledge base is very helpful for any questions I may have and the feedback from both customers and Premier Staff on those issues is very helpful. Project Management side, the Job Dashboard is a GREAT FEATURE!!! It gives me the reports that I need and are so much easier to find through the project, no need to filter through dates and trades, nor projects. Premier allows us to open and close projects within a timely manner. We shopped around for software that could meet our needs for all staff and offered GREAT value. Definitely less expensive than other software companies that had less features to offer in my opinion.
Cons: There is a few cons to Premier, It tends to lag and log us out without auto saving our data. For accounting, It's a good and bad. Bad for me, error prone fast paced person. As I have to go back and revise many times for errors, as well on the reports it does show my errors. Also for Bills, it would be great to have the ability to pay from Posted invoice, not just when entering and posting an invoice. As well as ability to upload receipt on a payment run. I also would like to add that when running a payment run, it would be great to be able to adjust date if needed after searching vendors, not having to cancel/delete payment run and start over. Also for workflow management, It would be a GREAT feature to have for Delegated Approvers to have alerts set up when invoices are in URGENT need of approval and moving closer to due dates.

I've had a very positive experience using Jonas Premier. Jonas Premier offers excellent value for money compared to other construction management platforms, especially given the wide range of features included. Having project accounting and project management teams collaborating on the same platform helps align the field and the office, reducing miscommunication, improving cost and project tracking, and enhancing approval processes within one unified system.
Pros: I also appreciate that Jonas Premier actively listens to client feedback and continuously adapts the software to meet real-world needs. The quarterly releases demonstrate a clear commitment to ongoing improvement, with updates that are practical and directly informed by user input. Overall, Jonas Premier feels like a solution that’s evolving alongside its customers, which adds a lot of long-term value.
Cons: One limitation is that Jonas Premier does not currently have the ability to process payroll, which requires using an external system for that function
Ilona Y. · Controller · Construction · December 17, 2025
Highly recommended for both accounting and non-accounting professionals to manage not only construction but also pre-development phases. It's very refreshing to hear about software that no one complains about (at least I haven't heard anything yet).
Pros: It's very user friendly, easy to learn and navigate. It does what is supposed to do - I use the job cost ODATA (excel download) a lot and it's made my work a lot easier.
Cons: We are working on EFT payments and believe Premier is looking internally on some improvements there. Also, hoping the team keeps adding more customizable reports to the ODATA add-in.
Jakub O. · VP · Real Estate · December 2, 2025
One of the easiet softwares to use. Also the synergy event allows us understand the gap of how much we already know the system and the useful functions we didnt know that’s available.
Pros: It’s very user friendly, and support team is great which is crucial in getting your work done day in day out.
Cons: No phone calls can make to the support team. Sometimes it’s easier to explain things on the phone. However, the support team very proactive and informative.
Sophia S. · Finance Manager · Construction · October 17, 2025
Pros: The platform is user friendly and the help desk is so good and quick, which is very rare these days.
Cons: The software is missing a few features such as claiming pending client variations and cash flow forecasting
Priscilla B. · Commercial Manager · Construction · October 17, 2025
Compared to other construction softwares, I love how easy premier is to use and how friendly the support staff are. Considering our company is new to using premier, the process has been very seamless!
Pros: I love how the software is so user friendly, the support staff are very responsive and easy to understand, everything is in one place with no need of using seperate platforms.
Cons: There isn’t much that I can think of that I dont like about premier. It has everything that I need!!
Jodie O. · Assistant Project Manager · Construction · October 17, 2025
Premier meets our business needs and the continuous development and enchantments ensures keeping up with industry and technology changes
Pros: Seamless implementation with great support. A totally integrated system with great value for money. A market leader
Cons: No bank feeds but this has now been added and is nearly ready for testing. A dedicated account manager would be great
Marlene L. · Chief Financial Officer · Construction · October 17, 2025
Pros: Project Collaboration, Bank Feeds feature to be released, Job Forecasts, Credit Card and Reimbursement submission through Expense App
Cons: AP invoice approval screens. Better to separate between supplier and subcontractors to allow limi modifications authority
Jenny N. · Financial Controller · Construction · October 16, 2025
Out of all softwares i have used in my career, Premeir is the most enhanced and provides real solutions that make my life easier
Pros: The ease of use and convenience. The support from the team and their willingness to user feedback continuous Improvement
Cons: It’s lack of API integration with other softwares does hold it back.but other than that nothing much
Jarrod w. · global contracts administrator · Education Management · October 16, 2025
User friendly software. Integration with payroll, forecasting and AP automation, etc. Support people are nice and very helpful.
Pros: I like about security settings for eash user access. Approval doa and transparency of job dashboard view.
Cons: I wish we can have our own project mnager. It will be better if we have additional support line number for urgent requests.
Katie K. · Finance manager · Construction · October 16, 2025
I see a lot of potential in the software. I love most of the features that I use. It's a great software.
Pros: I truly love project collaboration in Jonas across multiple disciplines. It's user friendly as well.
Cons: The reporting features can get a little better. Also, it'd be great to have dedicated accounts manager.
Shraddha G. · Senior Contracts Administrator · Construction · October 16, 2025
Pros: We save a huge amount of time with Premier. We used to log lump sums in Excel without knowing which invoice they came from, then dig through QuickBooks to match them. Now, we just click the line item in Premier, and all the invoices come up. You can drill down instantly and find out where discrepancies could be. That’s been huge for us. The project managers now have more insight into where their project budgets are at, what's being spent on the job and if it's being allocated properly. Without Premier, PMs wouldn't really know what's being charged to their projects or the status of their subcontracts. It was very easy to misallocate an invoice.
Cons: Implementation was a bit slow. We had some major differences in our opening balance between Premier and QuickBooks that we had to get fixed, but it's all good now.
Shelby G. · Operations Coordinator · Construction · July 24, 2025
Pros: Premier has been able to bridge the accounting to the project management to the field. We’re able to keep an eye on all the major buckets that we've got going on with one kind of interface. It’s the lifeline of our operations; Premier makes the complicated pretty easy at the end of the day. The progress billing side is very effective. It’s easy. It puts the information in front of you... you quickly look across the board at different AP invoices, pending, approved, or on hold, and know that when we send the bills at the end of the month, we’ve got an accurate representation of what really happened in the field. When you're relying on more primitive tech... things like cost or time in the field, change orders, that stuff can snowball. Premier gives us a good system to track it.
Cons: Like any implementation, there were some hiccups but it was a pretty seamless transition once the setup was complete. Support has been really good with all the different training modules, the help desk, quick responses, knowledge base videos, tutorials.
Taylor B. · Director of Land · Construction · July 16, 2025
Pros: The impact that the real-time data of Premier has allows us to catch red flags as soon as they happen without having to wait until a quarter end or a month end and that to us is very, very important. With the project dashboard, each project is almost like its own little company. You have your receivables, you have your payables, your hold back, your profitability. It's very easy to just select the project and get all that information with one touch so we use that all the time. The feature that I rely on the most on Premier for the past 3 years is the OData feature. With this feature, you're able to pull out live data from Premier into Excel with a push of a button and the most important part of this is being able to refresh that data whenever you want.
Cons: Like with any software, there are always a few things to fine-tune to meet your specific needs. That said, the support team is responsive and helpful—they work through any issues to ensure your team’s success.
Carlo F. · Controller · Construction · May 26, 2025
Pros: When evaluating new solutions, what stood out about Premier was its modernized and flexible feel. A lot of the other platforms we looked at felt outdated or too rigid. Our design-build model doesn’t follow a traditional GC approach, so we needed a system that could adapt to how we work, not the other way around.
Cons: While no rollout is ever completely smooth, the training and onboarding support made a big difference. I took the lead internally, and the key was really getting buy-in from our team. Change is never easy, but once we committed to it, we saw real results.
Justin M. · Vp of Construction · Construction · May 21, 2025
Pros: Over the last couple of years, we've utilized some of Premier's biggest automations. The expense app was a big one for us. It allowed all our staff to upload their employee expenses in real time and do the allocation themselves, which saved my accounting team a lot of time. We have recently implemented the Smart UI, which is Premier's partnership with AI. In terms of entering AP, we've seen a ton of time savings, and I think we're just getting started in terms of AI and it's going to be really interesting to see where it goes. I've had a really great experience with the ongoing customer support. I have a recurring monthly meeting with my support team member, and I leave every meeting once a month feeling like inspired to look into something new to inspire time savings, which is really awesome.
Cons: Nothing major to really complain about with Premier Construction Software and if you have an issue the team is there to assist!
Niki B. · Controller · Construction · May 15, 2025
Pros: The job dashboard is a standout as it brings all our project data into one place, something we never had with QuickBooks, Procore, or Excel. It’s helped us implement clear approval processes and gain real-time insights that impact the whole company. From an accounting perspective, Premier is fantastic. It allows us to properly align invoices with estimates, so costs hit the right buckets without relying on accounting to make judgment calls. The PO process tied to job estimates is one of my favorite features, it’s helped reduce errors and improve cost tracking across jobs. We're also starting to bring our inventory online, and Premier’s ability to support a true three-way match will be a huge efficiency gain.
Cons: I believe the implementation would have gone even more smoothly if we had taken a bit more time upfront to review and refine our internal processes.
Paula F. · Controller · Construction · April 24, 2025
Pros: $7f
Cons: As with all new things, the initial learning curve and adjustment of processes.
Cassie G. · Controller, HR Manager · Construction · April 4, 2025
Pros: One feature of Premier that I really appreciate is the dashboard. It’s the go-to place for a complete snapshot of project financials—showing the baseline, how it has varied, and what has impacted it. I especially value the flexibility Premier offers in analyzing different portfolios of information. Whether focusing on specific lines of business or a particular project manager, we can create tailored reports to meet our needs. There is significantly more communication between accounting and operations now and much greater ownership of financial data. Everyone can see how their actions affect project performance, and leadership can access information directly, without needing to go through others. Premier has greatly improved efficiency by automating most of the clerical tasks, streamlining our workflows and making our operations & finance teams more effective.
Cons: One small area for improvement would be the initial learning curve with some of the features, but once you're familiar, it's smooth sailing!
