Started 10/10 they were great at the beginning. Good rate, good service, the whole 9… Then things started to break. Had two printers break and paid for new ones, not the end of the world. Then had a monitor go out and it’s been weeks without a replacement. Currently on here looking for other options.
Pros: I like how easy it was to update from the computer. I could update the menu from home if needed. I also really liked the layout.
Cons: Once the equipment they sell you breaks they don’t do much about it. They will up your rate before sending new equipment. They don’t return emails. Once you actually have the system in place they basically quit caring.

I’ve been very satisfied with the ease of use for the employees.the availability to access from anywhere on any devices is amazing. Above all the support we get from the staff.
Pros: The support we get from the Cake staff. The help line always picks up for the staff with issues and are very helpful. [sensitive content hidden], my Account Rep in particular is someone who irreplaceable to our success. We have had CAKE for 8 years and she has been by far the most attentive. I would be lost without her help programming our online menu, replacement equipment and payments.
Cons: The integration for online ordering and delivery apps need work. I wish it was easier to adjust multiple items and modifiers at one time. The employees also preferred the larger screens of the older models as they are easier to see/use.

My overall experience was pretty good with Cake POS. [sensitive content hidden] was instrumental in making sure our transition was smooth.
Pros: The interface because it’s very intuitive. And the support is pretty good too. And they offered me pretty good rates for merchant services.
Cons: I don’t like that the cutoff time for next day funding for credit cards is at 9:00PM because we close our restaurant at 9:30PM.

I am extremely impressed with the operating system, and equipment we have thus far. What I am most impressed with is the customer support. I have been in the service industry for most all of my working career and I know first hand that any product or equipment you sell is useless without great tech support and representative availability when you need it the most. [sensitive content hidden] has been absolutely phenomenal on sales and support. [sensitive content hidden] in tech support has been my lifeline on equipment setup, programming, and troubleshooting. Every person I have spoke with in the Cake organization has been outstanding in my experience. From the restaurant management aspect cake meets every need we have, from credit card processing, davo for tax management, the cake pop hand held device is awesome! So easy to use for table orders, payments, etc. to say I am very happy with the Cake team and the software would be an understatement!!
Pros: Availability of sales and tech team. Speedy response and solutions issues. Professionalism and friendliness with every phone call. Options on equipment is very nice!
Cons: As of yet nothing. Navigation is very simple, very user friendly specially for employees who are not very technically inclined

Overall the experience is great, Customer service is great and the POS is easy for new employees as well as the veterans. User friend for staff of all ages.
Pros: Easy to train new staff on this POS. Great customer service from sales team and troubleshooting team.
Cons: Not being able to have the rewards portion without upgrading my old units. Once I got the new units I will have to start with the rewards again.

We loved Cake overall. We had tried other systems and Cake was just the easiest to use and train employees on. That saved time in training saved money and made for less interruption in the work flow for others while a new employee was training.
Pros: We loved the modern look and ease of use. Many other POS systems for restaurants are outdate and cumbersome. Training on Cake took minimal time because of how intuitive and customizable everything is. Display has large, colored tile buttons like a smart phone or tablet, and the menu layout makes sense for the needs of a restaurant.
Cons: Our business had both restaurant and retail and Cake POS was not incredibly conducive to retail management. The inventory tracking was set up more for food industry, not for retail SKUs. It did not have a scanner built in, items had to be searched for and clicked on.

Cons: I hate that I am not able to make the cash out or cash in slips longer. I also don't like the fact that I can't separate when I do reports comparing Mondays through the year versus like say Sundays through the year I want to be able to compare days

Pros: Support! It is a certainty that things will go wrong! In these times, support needs to be open, listen, be flexible, have good logical thought process, and get us to goal quickly. The performance of the cake support team is awesome! Thank you!
Cons: The doordash integration is a bit clunky. Really need the ability to set pricing specifically for DoorDash and different than the Cake Online ordering(compassionless). I hear it is coming, and can't wait!

Chat bot AI is really disheartening. The agents are great support.
Pros: Great listening skills and problem solving. Interpretation of casual lingo to ‘cake’ lingo, and empathy
Cons: The chat boy AI really need improvement. The forecast in interpreting human language is super faulty and is such a road block.

In general we have always like CAKE. It is a serious pain though whenever we upgrade. Our technical representative, Ayodell was absolutely amazing and patient through our 8 hour ordeal we went through to get our upgraded POS stations installed and working.
Pros: I like the reporting functionality and the ease of use of the system.
Cons: The network setup. The fact that we have to replace perfectly good equipment with new expensive equipment when we upgrade to newer versions. I also do not think it is good business for CAKE to not have any local support. A customer should not have to be responsible for being tech savvy to the level you are required to be in order to install new equipment.

The pos is great, the orderpad is junk the kiosk needs work but okayish
Pros: Texting customer support, they always respond promptly
Cons: Machines have issues here and there. I was counting on the orderpad but it keeps malfunctioning

Great from start to current day. We've been with Cake for over a year and are pleased!
Pros: Ease of use, the customer service is phenomenal and low cost.
Cons: Google doesn't allow me to setup my order link. It kicks it out saying we're closed or unable to accept orders.

I used Cake at a previous restaurant when I moved the sent to Maliek Walkins in customer service. Great rep for Cake he walked me through a few things and was actually helpful. Didn’t act like he wanted to rush me and explained everything to me.I have used some of the other POS systems this is by far the easiest I have dealt with I did my own menu and installed everything myself.
Pros: I really like being able to input items on the POS.And not having to use my laptop every time I want to run a special or change a price.I really like that you can actually call customer service when you need help and someone actually answers quickly!
Cons: There is much I don’t like about the POS.

The over all is easy to navigate. just a couple glitches. but once they explained it made since. The initial set up on the phone with [sensitive content hidden] was a 5 and half hours. it was long because there was alot to do. But [sensitive content hidden] a breeze to work with. you didn't even know you were on the phone that long. He made learning fun. I felt confident after we were finished setting everything up. [sensitive content hidden] needs to be training the tech support to have patients for people and his knowledge. He is the only one i want work with when i call for help. [sensitive content hidden] is so helpful and personable. he understands what i am trying to say when i dont know the proper term. He was a great person to have when you are initially signing up to purchase cake. Very knowledgeable as to why we would benefit from different products. I truly from the bottom of my heart want to thank them for all they did/do for us.
Pros: The onboarding process with [sensitive content hidden] and [sensitive content hidden] was easy.
Cons: There is no Happy hour button that will automatically turn on and off.

Been with Cake for almost 10 years. Overall good experience, but what keeps me with them is the customer service. Always available for an answer to a question and with a great attitude!

Really, after dealing with POS systems for 36 years, CAKE is by far the best that I have ever experienced. They work hard to understand my problems. I talked to rep ([sensitive content hidden]) the other day because we had a online ordering glitch that he needed to refer to the next level. The problem got solved quickly by the next team. [sensitive content hidden] called me this morning to check and make sure that the problem was taken care of! Outstanding!!
Pros: I recently started using CAKE - 1) Setting up the system is ridiculously easy. I'm 61 years old and was able to set up our store with little instruction. 2) When I did need help, the customer service was always outstanding. I have been in business for 36 years and I can honestly say that CAKE customer service is the best I have ever experienced!
Cons: There are a few things I wish it had - like notifications that the customer has arrived for curbside pickup.
