Excellent choice, happy I found Money Minder and love that it links with Cheddar Up! Very cost effective for our nonprofit.
Pros: Money Minder is a great value for our booster club. It is very easy to learn and use for our treasurer. The customer service is outstanding if you need them, very quick to respond. Love that it links with Cheddar Up!
Cons: I could be doing it wrong, but sometimes it doesn't find entries that I pull from the bank that I have already entered so it makes duplicates.

I am very satisfied with MoneyMinder. I usually use it once a month to import our financials and it works great keeping me organized.
Pros: I like how the program can insert your bank account information and then all I have to do is categorize them. This takes a lot of time to enter manually so for this program to do it for us is incredibly time saving. I do wish the cost was a little more PTA friendly all around since we are PTA's and depend on grants, and donations.
Cons: The cost could be more PTA friendly since we depend on donations and grants to help fund us. If there was a set price a little lower then maybe other PTA's will join,

I love MoneyMinder! It’s very user friendly. I was thrown into my role as treasurer and found the video tutorials extremely helpful. I had no trouble navigating the system. The podcast and Facebook group were an added bonus and helped me learn more about my role. The support team is phenomenal, though I’ve rarely needed them because the system is so easy to use. The reporting features are also excellent.
Pros: The system is pretty foolproof. It’s easy to navigate even without any training, and if you do make a mistake, everything can be fixed quickly and easily.
Cons: There really aren’t any cons to the system. The only minor challenge is that doing transfers with PayPal can be a bit confusing the first couple of times.

It’s been great! Highly recommend for all PTO or Booster Club Treasurers. Worth the cost and more - especially when importing bank transactions.
Pros: It’s very easy to use and provides the exact reports I need as treasurer. Monthly reconciliations help keep our books balanced and give our auditor everything they need each year.
Cons: It would be nice if I could easily match reimbursements to checks written, without having to manually enter.

Easy so far. The help section seems to be easy to understand and follow. The balance forward is weird however we have worked thru it.
Pros: Price is reasonable, reports are sufficient. The learning curve is not bad especially if you have experience with another similar product.
Cons: The cost is going up which is difficult for 501C3 groups so maybe a tiered pricing is an option in the future.

MoneyMinder has been easy to use. Much more user friendly than our previously used software. I had no guidance from our previous treasurer when I took over, and I was able to navigate with ease. I recently used the chat feature and had a great experience and my issue was resolved.
Pros: MoneyMinder is very easy to navigate. Once you set up your budget, it's simple to add in expenditures and account for them under certain budget items. Monthly reconciling helps make sure everything is accounted for.
Cons: MoneyMinder says that you can link it with your bank account and increased the price due to this feature, but our bank is currently not supported.

So was to learn how to use it and even more satisfied with the features, especially budgeting and reporting that it cuts down my time needed to process treasurer duties by a mile. I have been a treasurer in many capacities for 3 decades and find this is THE app to use for any NonProfit Corp, hands down!
Pros: Very user friendly; a big time saver especially with making and updating budgets and day to day transactions/banking. In financial reporting the type of Reports available makes meeting preparation a breeze and the Reports are easy to read and comprehend.
Cons: Although the subscription went up this past year, it's still a great option for a Treasurer of a Non-Profit. I wouldn't have taken on being a Board Treasurer without MoneyMinder.

i've been a volunteer treasurer for over two years now and money minder is a better value than certain books that are "fast"
Pros: helpful structure of budgets and reporting, appreciate the ease of posting transactions and reconciling accounts.
Cons: I can't copy recurring transactions easily, nor was i able to roll forward prior year contacts easily (missed a window, was SOL)
cameron b. · Treasurer · Non-Profit Organization Management · September 7, 2025
My experience has been nothing but awesome. The amount of control I have over my organization by using this app and the access to information makes it a powerful tool. It is a complete program, and I can't imagine using anything else.
Pros: The ease of use and the short learning curve. I used it with a previous organization as President and now with a new organization where I am the Treasurer. The new organization is a High School Booster program with ledgers for each student and tracking money in the store and we are now using the new reimbursement process . . . ALL of it is amazing! The price increased this year, but the value for the money is WELL worth it. As the Treasurer I use the reporting function to send out statements to each of our parents for balanced owed and also for the financial reporting tools like a monthly Treasurers Report. All of it makes my like easier and helps me keep track of everything my organization needs!
Cons: I wish the new reimbursement process was able to be combined into a single transaction is needed. Sometimes we have the same person put in multiple reimbursements at the same time, but not on the same transaction and I cannot combine them into a single transaction. But that is a wish, not a need.
Steven W. · Treasurer · Non-Profit Organization Management · September 6, 2025
Overall I really do love it. Love all the different reports you can get from it. If those few things could get fixed it would be wonderful
Pros: I like that I can access our budget anytime anywhere with my phone. I also like I can give access to your whole board so they can also see what is going on. I like I can upload receipts and save them there incase something would happen to the paper one.
Cons: I don’t like a few things- we paid extra for the bank transactions to connect and upload. It’s not worked for at least a month now. And when it did work it wasn’t consistent. I also wish when uploading receipts I could add more pics than one at a time. I have to save before adding another and it takes a lot of time. One other wish is I want to be able filter like items that don’t have a receipt yet.

Once we got everything set up, it was easy to maintain our monthly entries. The organization answered questions in a timely manner and worked with us to resolve any issues we encountered.
Pros: MoneyMinder best fit our needs as a small, non-profit organization with a simple budget. It was easy to use and included volunteer hours. We do not have a professional accountant in our organization, and we needed software that could help us keep track of our finances and create reports for our board. We loved the bank reconciliation feature, and that we had online access from various venues.
Cons: Nothing, really. As much as I loathe two-factor authentication to log in to websites, I think MoneyMinder may need to beef up their security. So far we have had NO trouble, however.
Karen K. · President · Religious Institutions · September 5, 2025
Overall an amazing experience with Money Minder. The software’s value and ease of use make it the best option I have found for bookkeeping.
Pros: I love how easy it is to accurately track the finances for our organization. Being new to the role of treasurer, the ease of bank reconciliation and the reporting of the accounts were a great aide to help me excel in my position. The value for money minder is so much more than other options. The security provisions in place as well make me less stress about possible unauthorized access to our financial reporting, which is paramount.
Cons: When I find something that I do NOT like about MoneyMinder I will be sure to share that information.

SO positive and such a relief to be able to easily learn the software and have expert help - with real people! - available.
Pros: Everything! It is moderately priced. It is geared towards school nonprofits, so it really focuses on what we need - ease of use, tracking, managing information and contacts, etc. It is not business/sales oriented like Quickbooks, so it is much easier to use. All of the reports you need are there - audit, treasurer's report, data broken out as needed. And best of all, REAL HUMANS with school experience are available via chat and on the phone! They have always resolved any of my problems on the spot. They will look at your account, walk you through the fixes, provide screen shots, and provide oodles of sympathy and understanding as you hold back tears with the audit report due the next day and $.27 cents you just can't find. More than once, a customer service rep has stayed on the phone with me even after hours to resolve something. Bliss!
Cons: There's nothing I don't like. There are a few features that would be nice to add - or maybe they're already there. It would be great to be able to go directly to printing checks without having to save the file and print from there.

Very good! Beginner friendly, perfect for PTA use. There are a lot of reports and other things available to help maximize better budgeting.
Pros: I like how easy it is to put everything into its proper categories and also upload attachments into each reporting.
Cons: Some of the reports can be confusing. When trying to pull some data unfortunately it wouldn’t give the full amount of year from July to June, it would cut us off in March for some reason.

As a first-time PTA Treasurer, I was a little nervous about stepping into the role — but MoneyMinder made it so easy to learn. The platform itself is very intuitive, and I was able to get up and running quickly without feeling overwhelmed. What truly stands out, though, is their chat feature and support team. Every time I had a question — whether it was filing our first 990, reconciling discrepancies between our fiscal year and budget dates, or just making sure I was on the right track — someone was there with clear, patient guidance. The MoneyMinder team has been nothing short of amazing, offering support that feels both professional and personal. For any new treasurer, I can’t recommend them enough. They’ve been a real partner in helping me feel confident and successful in this role.
Pros: I love how easy MoneyMinder is to use. As a new PTA treasurer I was struggling with our old system, this is significantly easier to use. The chat feature is amazing and I have had such support and help with questions along the way with seasoned treasurers.
Cons: The cost, as a non profit I wish we could keep the cost slightly lower, but I understand why the cost is so high based on the product and support.
Alissa M. · Treasurer · Non-Profit Organization Management · September 4, 2025
I've had a great experience with it. It was easy to pick up when I took over the books with our non-profit.
Pros: The program is fairly easy to navigate when toggling from one to another. The simplicity of inputting each transaction is nice.
Cons: The Budget Analysis would be nice to be able to click on each line item to see the itemized transactions.
Tabitha H. · Treasurer · Non-Profit Organization Management · September 4, 2025
Overall for the value it is a good program for a homeowners association. It provides us with the reporting and tracking we need.
Pros: This product is easy to use. The reporting is great and gives the level of detail required for our needs.
Cons: Would like the ability to create our own reports from the data. Also would like the ability to print checks.
Van W. · Treasurer · Non-Profit Organization Management · September 4, 2025
Great so far. I love that you don't need an 2nd authenticator, it helps our board members so that we don't have to assign logins.
Pros: Printing the reports easily, and they are user friendly. The fact that we can connect to the bank account really makes it fast and easy.
Cons: I wish there was a more user friendly way to toggle between fiscal years. Especially in the beginning, we are going back and forth between years a lot.
Stefany S. · Treasurer · Non-Profit Organization Management · September 4, 2025
It has been excellent! Support chats are productive and usually resolve the issue. The Support staff is responsive and helpful with both direct calls and emails. FAQs are very helpful during setup.
Pros: I have been using Money Minder for 3 years and I think it is great! The learning curve is small with a basic understanding of accounting principles. I have eliminated the need for a paper check register and bank reconciliation is a breeze. Budget and financial reporting are easy and understandable. My BOD is now spoiled because they get a monthly treasurer's report! I'm working to turn over the treasurer's duties to a new board member and the online access makes it super easy.
Cons: I want more control of the export option in contacts. Sometimes I just want donors/membership. Instead, I get all the contacts. It takes some time to edit the export down to what I'm looking for.

I use MoneyMinder for my PTA's software. It is straightforward and I have found all of the report options especially helpful.
Pros: MoneyMinder is a highly user-friendly accounting software that makes managing finances simple and efficient. I especially love the wide variety of report options—it’s easy to generate clear, professional reports for meetings or audits. Its intuitive interface is ideal for treasurers and volunteers alike, even without a background in accounting. Security is a top priority, and MoneyMinder gives a peace of mind. MoneyMinder also includes essential accounting features like budgeting, tracking income and expenses, and reconciling bank statements. It’s a perfect solution for nonprofits. Overall, MoneyMinder saves time, ensures accuracy, and keeps financial data safe and accessible.
Cons: While MoneyMinder is a helpful tool overall, there are a few aspects I dislike. The interface, though user-friendly, can feel outdated. Some features feel limited—for example, customization options for reports or categories could be more flexible. I also wish there were a mobile app to make managing finances on the go easier. Occasionally, navigation between pages feels clunky, requiring extra clicks to access simple functions.

I started using this program as Secretary of our HOA last year and am able to use this program without difficulty.
Pros: MoneyMinder is a great accounting program for our HOA. Very easy to access information. Those who are new to MoneyMinder will find it user-friendly.
Cons: This program takes quite a bit of time to set up and some with limited computer experience, find it difficult to navigate.
Brenda C. · Treasurer · Accounting · September 3, 2025
My favorite feature is the ability to file your tax form within the program using information you've entered all year! Very efficient and time saving.
Pros: Our nonprofit has found MoneyMinder easy to use and the price is ideal. All of the different reports available are very helpful and useful. Our group particularly relies on the balance sheet, but several other detailed reports are also available. Setting up your bank account, budget and keeping track of expenses are a breeze! This program is available from anywhere you access the internet, and very secure.
Cons: There isn't much left to not like. This program has a ton to offer! The link to the bank account really makes it easy to use.
Rae Anne F. · Board Secretary · Sports · September 3, 2025
Easy to use, helpful support documents and customer service people. Lots of new upgrades lately which I love.
Pros: I’ve really found value in the blog and guides available to answer questions along the way. It’s an easy tool, financial reporting is great, and it helps us ensure bank reconciliation is accurate and detailed.
Cons: It is time consuming and I was hoping to save time by integrating our bank and CheddarUp accounts. It’s helpful for some transactions but not those that require a receipt from a reimbursement workflow. I’m hoping to find efficiencies so handing off the Treasurer role won’t seem so daunting in the future.
Elizabeth K. · Treasurer · Non-Profit Organization Management · September 3, 2025
As a novice in being a treasurer of our HOA all volunteer, I had to do a crash course in the program, and I was able to follow through.
Pros: I love the quickness of it and the easy learning on how it all works. It has online tutorials that you are able to watch and learn as you go.
Cons: I love the categories that money minder offers and the quick ability that I can use when I have a heavy schedule
Barbara D. · Treasurer of HOA · Accounting · September 3, 2025
Overall, I find it to be very user friendly. It makes sense to me and I was able to have a successful first year as treasurer.
Pros: The learning curve isn’t bad! I’m not an accountant, but the bank reconciliation is easy and very user friendly! Making financial reports for board meetings is simple and straightforward!
Cons: One time, the moneyminder software had a glitch of some kind and our pta ended the year with way less money than the software said we should have. Another school in our district also experienced a glitch like this. I’m not sure what happened.
