Pros: The system covers everything we need and is very user friendly, all at a reasonable price. When I do have questions or come across something new, my Account Manager Jonathan always knows what to do and is super responsive.
Cons: There's nothing that I don't like about using the CounSol system to manage our practice and keep up on what's happening with our therapists.

Overall, I'd recommend it if you're workign with minors but only if there's a reason you can't use another. Overall, the clunkiness makes it too hard to use for a therapist. You have to click into each note to see it, meaning it's hard to scroll adn see details.
Pros: The automatic sending of intakes is very smooth. It is easier than other EHRs I have used, adn it's easy to see which ones haven't been completed. It is the most smoothly integrated EHR for working with minors, where parents can be part of the account without being the named patient.
Cons: The interface is SO clunky. The payment system isn't that intuitive and isn't automated. I would like it to automatically charge before the session.

Counsol makes my work so much simpler. This program offers so many assets, making it a huge value, cost-wise.
Pros: Customer support has been beyond my expectations. My rep, [sensitive content hidden], responds to my inquiries within minutes. Counsol has made working my practice so easy to schedule appointments, write notes, send forms to clients, and so much more. I highly recommend Counsol.
Cons: So far, 5 years using Counsol I literally can't thinkg of anything. If I can't figure something out, [sensitive content hidden], my customer rep to walk me through whatever it is.

Pros: The number one reason I'm thrilled with CounSol is the support I've gotten from [sensitive content hidden]. He's always fast, thorough, and thoughtful. The price is also very reasonable.
Cons: CounSol can be a little tricky to navigate in the beginning and connect to insurance payers, but the support is great.

Pros: I appreciate the platform’s ease of use and the wide range of features that support my small business needs. It offers excellent value for the cost, especially when compared to similar platforms. The note-taking functionality, in particular, has greatly streamlined my workflow and is much more efficient than other systems I’ve used in the past.
Cons: While the video services require an additional fee, this has been a minimal issue given the overall quality and convenience the platform provides.

Overall, I love CounSol and recommend it any time some is looking for an EHR. It is less well known than some of the others, but if someone is willing to take advantage of the free trial, they won’t be disappointed.
Pros: I have been using CounSol for seven years and one of my favorite things about the company is the responsiveness of customer support and that they are always adding new and helpful features as they grow.
Cons: For me, the built in video platform is not always reliable with some clients. They have a hard time with the synch being off , or losing connection randomly.

I have had a great experience from the software, tech support and overall use. I have been using the system with a group practice and now individually and it has been seamless.
Pros: I enjoy the ease of the software. I am not very technologically savvy and feel like. I can use Counsel seamlessly.
Cons: I wish there were more automated documents that could be used for my practice as well as assessments for client care.

Overall all it has worked well with my practice. All functions are seamless. Billing is efficient and easy to navigate.
Pros: Customer support. "[sensitive content hidden] " is great, supportive, knowledgeable, and explains any aspect of the platform efficiently and easily with kindness and a great demeanor.
Cons: The portal could be improved visually. The portal looks outdated, and new clients tend to comment on it.

Pros: What I like most about CounSol.com is its all-in-one functionality. Having billing, notes, and scheduling in a single secure platform has streamlined my practice and reduced the need for multiple tools. It really allows me to focus more on clinical work rather than administrative tasks. The customer service rep listens and has implemented changes I have requested.
Cons: There is very little to dislike. The system works flawlessly. I don't have any issues with the system. I am a happy and satisfied user.

Overall, my experience has been ok, my rep is very responsive and the features available are user friendly.
Pros: I like the ease in documentation and treatment planning and the option to attach documents for clients and client being able to upload documents to share with me. Counsol is also one of the most affordable ERS system that I have used.
Cons: The least thing I like about counsol.com is the client dashboard, because it looks very generic and basic.

It has been dependable and consistent. Tech support has been responsive and helpful. It is reasonably proced and has worked well for my practice.
Pros: They have been very responsive with my requests for practice-specific changes to the interface. The platform is intuitive and easy to use. It has been reliable, and I have not really run into any major glitches or tech issues. The formatting for case notes is great.
Cons: The credit card processing was burdensome because of the PCI compliance processes. That is, I was required to complete lengthy documents, certifying that I would do things (e.g., maintain PCI manuals) that I doubt almost any CounSol users are actually doing. Because of this, I do not use the CounSol credit card processing component. I also think that the client interface could be improved--e.g., improved aesthetic and intuitiveness. I also really wish it allowed therapists to email clients forms for electronic approval. Right now, I used a separate service to do this.

Terrific. As a private practice therapist, I spend most of my day meeting with clients and documenting my work in CounSol. I experience CounSol as a reliable co-worker who is really efficient at her job! When my friends set-up their private practice, I recommend CounSol and they often haven't heard of it because they don't advertise as much as some of the others but, with its exceptional customer service and good functionality, it is a gem and well worth it.
Pros: When I chose CounsSol almost 10 years ago, I reviewed all the competing options very carefully. In the end, I chose CounSol for their impressive customer support. Other platforms expect you to do-it-yourself in terms of creating the forms you want in your EHR. CounSol staff will take a form you already like, in what ever state it is already in, and make it accessible for your clients in your EHR. Also, with other platforms, when you have a problem, you submit it to a help line. At CounSol, you are assigned one customer service representative who is available to you. My person hasn't changed in all the time I have been with the company, and when he went on maternity leave, I was assigned a different support person. He always answers my questions in a timely way!
Cons: The platform for video sessions does not allow people to log in from two separate locations. I understand the company is working on fixing that. Some of the other platforms are somewhat less expensive but I am not sure it is worth the trade off because what you save in a few dollars less, you will spend in your time trying to customize your platform and fix your problems in ways that CounSol staff will help you with.

It has been easy to adapt to this platform, and I can't say enough about the customer service from day 1! My account manager has helped me so much in running my business more smoothly.
Pros: The customer service with CounSol is outstanding! My account manager, [sensitive content hidden], has been available so many times with concise, quick answers to all kinds of questions about the system. I learn best in this fashion and I can't thank Counsel enough for providing this helpful provider support! They have been fair in their pricing and have offered me all the features I need.
Cons: The one issue for me thus far, has been the fact that CounSol is only connected with Office Ally to submit insurance claims. Office Ally is now charging providers to submit some claims versus other clearinghouses that do not.

I am one person in a private practice, I find that CounSol meets all my needs, satisfies my clients and is very easy to use. Other than needing to create some of my own unique intake forms, there is already so much available on the portal itself that is formatted better than I could have written myself. Super satisfied.
Pros: Quick and responsive customer service. Ease of use and simple formatting for client and provider. Super great price compared to other common EHR systems. Easy, accessible, extensively helpful documentation prompts.
Cons: I wish there was an app!!! I could imagine how some users might want a video component for virtual sessions, but I prefer zoom.

I am so glad I picked this EHR many years ago when I started my practice. I often think that I don't know what I would do without it. Price is great for all the features, and they keep adding additional ones. Troubleshooting is easy with a real person for assistance, not a phone tree.
Pros: I love CounSol.com; I have had it about 15 yrs. Everything is at my fingertips. It is always available ( very important); easy to use; has varied features to fit your office needs. Progress notes have check off boxes that are changeable, and assists in having HIPAA compliance. Clients can log in and complete forms for insurance, personal info, and more. It has option for telehealth sessions. You also have support quickly with your personal case manager.
Cons: Sometimes my clients find it difficult to log on to video sessions, but this seems to be more to do with their difficulty with technology, so I think the more tech savvy one's client is, the better this goes. It normally works super great with a personal phone, if all else fails.

My overall experience has been a great one. I don't see myself using any other platform for my business.
Pros: CounSol has made my job easier. The navigational features are easy to use. I have not had to use customer support at all the entire time that I have been using the platform due to how user friendly the platform is. The notes feature has everything readily available at the click of a button. It helps with time management. Also, the value that I get for the money is definitely worth sticking with it.
Cons: I like everything about CounSol. It is user friendly and easy to navigate. The platform takes the "guess work" out of operating it.

My experience with CounSol has been fabulous. The platform is professional, offers a quick turn-around with Support Tickets, and has provided a model that allows for contact with a consistent customer support rep. This has been helpful b/c following up with questions/comments is done with ease; there is no familiarizing someone "new" to the case/issue. The portal is easy to use and directions are concise and direct with screenshots that provide visual aide to those who need it (me!). I have recommended CounSol to others and have shared that it one of the most professional, clear and helpful EHR's I have used (I have been in the field since 2008).
Pros: Having a consistent customer service representative who becomes familiar with your business needs and assists with troubleshooting when issues arise. Kudos to [sensitive content hidden] for rapid responses, checking on system issues the few times they have occurred, and guiding me through processes with which I was unfamiliar prior to working with him through my subscription with CounSol.
Cons: I would like to have more drop down features in the notes section (sxs, bxs, feedback/interventions, and specific examples of progress). Maybe be able to click on sxs or examples of progress and then add a related comment.

Pros: Ease of use, value for money, customer support is excellent! Any time we have a question or an issue, customer support replies to us very quickly to assist.
Cons: There are some features that lack customization. There are several different ways to do the same thing, which can be a pro or a con.

I have enjoyed CounSol.com, and whenever I have a question, they are always quick to help me. [sensitive content hidden] is a great resource.
Pros: CounSol.com has been a game-changer for my practice. I used to schedule all my appointments myself and was constantly receiving messages from clients needing to change or cancel. It has saved me immeasurable time to have a calendar that I can set up for them to make and change their sessions.
Cons: I wish there were a less expensive video option. The majority of my practice is face-to-face in the office. On the rare occasions when I need to use telehealth, I wish there were a cheaper option available via the Counsol website.

I've used Counsol.com since 2022. I found the more I use it features; I like it more. I have no complaints and find it easy to use. I would recommend it to other providers as an option as someone suggested to me.
Pros: I do like the value I get for the money that I pay monthly. I have not had issues in using the site. I like the layout and competing the notes is not difficult. I like my clients receive reminders and I have reminders about treatment plans, etc. I do like it keeping stats on appointments and cancelations and tracking over several years. Also, I like the tracking of payments so I can see the trends.
Cons: Not being able to bill through the clearing house for CCBHO, but I realize they are totally different codes that other providers.

Overall it has been a pleasant experience with mostly no issues. I would recommend for starting out solo practitioners.
Pros: I like the support person that I work with. [sensitive content hidden] is great and always available for help. I love that you work with the same person all the time. The price is reasonable and some of the features are nice. Completing claims are easy.
Cons: CounSol's overall look is outdated and the client portal definitely could use a facelift. The aesthetics definitely could use an update.
