Terrible. CHAT couldn't help me. I told Chat that if someone can't call me and walk me thru it, then cancel my new subscription. They canceled it. I guess they don't care about my business. ZERO PHONE SUPPORT IF YOU NEED IT.
Pros: Nada.
Cons: There is NO customer support system. You can't find a phone # to call. Chat was useless. I canceled when i asked to speak to someone and none was offered over Chat.

the zero-knowledge security model (which includes a Secret Key) and Watchtower, which alerts users to weak passwords or security
Pros: 1Password is highly regarded for its balance of high-level security and user-friendly design.Beyond a master password, 1Password uses a locally generated "Secret Key," which offers a unique, extra layer of encryption that ensures data cannot be decrypted without it.
Cons: 1Password shifted from a one-time purchase to a mandatory subscription model ($2.99/month for individuals). Furthermore, the move to cloud-only vaults (1Password.com) removes the option for local-only storage via WLAN sync or iCloud/Dropbox, which some users prefer for security and privacy reasons.

Overall it's a modern and good password manager. For businesses it offers SSO and pretty good security/compliance features. Sharing records internally or externally works as expected and even more efficient internally if the Shared Vaults are utilized. Authentication policy for SSO enforcement by groups is confusing and needs work.
Pros: User interface is modern, generally easy to use, auto fil works well, and offers a massive range of record types for storing information or credentials. Admin management is good and offers SSO with Entra ID. Sharing records internally or externally is works as expected. The native shared vault feature is really good for businesses and a great way to keep records organizaed across different teams.
Cons: Transfer session tokens between devices/app will sometimes get stuck and put you into a loop or not work. Hightly recommend to only use either the browser extension OR the desktop app, not both on the same computer. SSO enforce policy by groups has a weird flaw where after implmentation, every new user you add has to go through an account recovery process after setting up their account in order for SSO to work moving forward.

My overall experience has been great as the app feels secure, it's easy and have multiple options of use and/or how you store your information.
Pros: Ease of use for storing, managing and sharing passwords/private information with the rest of the team. It feels secure and all in one place.
Cons: Sometimes you have to pay attention and make sure codes are being updated, otherwise it will store multiple and cause issues when login in on certain websites.

As a QA Manager for a large company I think this tool is very handy, it is streamlined, secure, and efficient for managing credentials across projects and devices.
Pros: 1Password is a reliable password management tool, with an intuitive UI, secure vault sharing, and smooth user onboarding across teams.
Cons: I think the team admin dashboard can feel limited for large-scale audits or detailed user activity reporting, detailed logs might be useful.
Clara R. · QA Manager · Computer Software · October 22, 2025
Credentials remained centralized by client, handoffs more serene, and offboarding also aligned to groups and SSO, so access updates no longer hindered campaign activities.
Pros: Shared vaults and group controls hold client credentials by account, while autofill and SSO pairing minimize friction in logins between ad tools and partner dashboards.
Cons: SCIM and role mapping need to be done with care, and admin views become cluttered while setting up massive access for client‑specific contractor contractors and client‑dedicated safes.

I haven't had any issues. Everything works well and is very trustworthy. I love the convenience of using it.
Pros: It just makes things easier. I had an experience where the password I used for everything was stolen and I decided to never let that happen again. Having eery individual password stored in 1Password helps so much.
Cons: It does take one extra step to use an app. But once you get used to using it, everything runs so smoothly.

I love that I can trust 1Password to safely store all of our important information, and I fear for the day that I can't access the application anymore!
Pros: I love that it stores not only passwords, but also important informations such as registration numbers and credits cards. The shared vault features allows our team to easily share all important information in one central hub.
Cons: Sometimes the application will disconnect and not automatically suggest the passwords. The solve to this is just going to grab it and copying it manually from the application, but it is a bummer when it happens.
Anonymous User · Controller · Textiles · August 12, 2025
Pros: It made storing all the passwords for our accounts so we don’t have to remember and store all app users ' names and passwords.
Cons: While 1Password suggests strong passwords for signing, these can be insufficient, some sites require special characters which it couldn't integrate into some passwords.
Sandra M. · Owner · Food & Beverages · August 10, 2025
Pros: The best part of 1Password is how you can easily access all your passwords at the same place and also how they suggest stronger, unpredictable passwords to help keep your account strong.
Cons: 1Password has issues with scanning and detecting QR codes. It doesn’t offer short link, warnings for password used again or leaked.

Overall, 1Password is very helpful in keeping my passwords safe. I have been using 1Password for work and personal purpose and I am happy with it.
Pros: I like how 1Password stores my passwords and how safe it is to store my passwords in 1Password. I also like the feature that I can access 1 password from all my devices.
Cons: While it is easy to store my passwords in 1Password, sometimes, I found that there are multiple copies of passwords for the same website.

Overall, 1Password is a great password manager that offers the security and passkey features that many other password managers do not. I like how they prioritize security even if it is a double edge sword and makes thing inconvenient.
Pros: I like how it can store all of your passwords securely and even store passkeys so that you don't have to enter your password on sites that support passkeys.
Cons: I don't like how you have to relogin to the Chrome extension every time you close the browser if you don't have the 1Password app. Additionally, I think the secret key needed to sign in is very hard to retrieve if you forget it. I also don't like how 1Password continues to promote the personal 1Password accounts if your organization uses it only to have to pay for a subscription once your leave the company.

Pros: 1Password is an outstanding password management tool. 1Password also facilitates secure sharing of passwords and other sensitive data with end users or team members, with granular control over access using vaults etc. The experience and simplicity of 1Password is outstanding and would choose this over any others.
Cons: None. 1Password offers robust solutions for businesses of all sizes, including centralized user management and vault management.

Its a brilliant tool, we are able to have complex passwords for each and every login. We have our own vaults and shared vaults across the team. Very easy to generate password, add notes/ images / one time passcodes to each item.
Pros: The best feature of 1Password for me is autofill login via the browser extension. Managing so many different logins, this has saved me so much time and helps with my workflow.
Cons: The login process can be a issue if you do not keep your secret key safe. This is first given when setting up the account and a pdf containing this information can be downloaded.

At its core, 1Password is a relatively simple tool and straightforward for administrators. Once employees get set up, we know that they'll be able to securely save their passwords and notes, along with credit card information, etc. Additionally, the two-factor authentication code generation is a big advantage when there is one set of credentials shared among multiple team members.
Pros: 1Password does all of the basics well, including: - Password generation - Password saving/autofill - Two-factor authentication - Sharing of passwords and secure notes through a vault It's easy to get up and running in 1Password, and we feel good knowing that user access and vault sharing can be customized and restricted easily.
Cons: The 1Password Google Chrome add-on is kind of hit or miss. It can be helpful and work properly most times, and sometimes just get in the way by making suggestions in text boxes that aren't applicable. They also haven't updated their interface of the admin portal in a while, and it can feel a little bit clunky/hard to navigate.

I have been a 1Password admin since 2015. I would recommend it to all companies and families needing to store secrets.
Pros: I love how 1Password makes security easy. Previous password managers I have used perplexed the end users, so they rejected using them. 1PW is the only password manager they I have had users become evangelists of. Also, I think it is more secure than competitors like Lastpass.
Cons: I really love 1Password so this is hard. I guess it is a bit expensive but I still think it is totally worth the cost.
Nick K. · IT Manager · Information Technology and Services · July 15, 2025
Overall, I believe 1Password to be very secure, and I love the ability to share logins with team members while retaining tight security on my personal accounts.
Pros: I love that I can have a vault for myself as well as shared vaults that my teams can access. Saving new login information is quick and easy.
Cons: I prefer not to use 1Password as a browser extension, as it is less efficient than using the Apple Passwords fill-in feature with fingerprint or face ID options.
Travis S. · Communications Director · Non-Profit Organization Management · July 9, 2025
1Password has been a fantastic tool for our organization. We previously used LastPass and Bitwarden. 1Password separates itself from a security standpoint by assigning each account a secret key. The secret key is a separate, random string of characters required before accessing an account on a new device. 1Password is also easy to administer. We use Active Directory sync which ensures easy user onboarding. The shared vault feature is also fantastic. This allows groups or teams to share vault items that multiple team members need.
Pros: 1Password separates itself by having an extra layer of security not found in its competitors, the secret key. Each user account is not only secured by a master password. In order to sign into an account on a new device, the user must also supply the secret key assigned to the account. The secret key is a random, complex key that 1Password generates at account creation. Having this extra layer of security ensures that an account is compromised if a user's master password is uncovered by fraudsters.
Cons: Occasionally, the 1Password Windows client doesn't sync fast enough with the browser extensions. In some cases, if a user updates a password the browser extension will still have the old credentials. Relaunching the browser usually fixes this, but by the time the user tries that they are usually locked out of the website they were trying to access.

My overall experience with 1Password has been excellent!
Pros: What I like the most about 1Password is that it helps you and your organization manage all your password in one place that everyone can access.
Cons: At the moment I’m pretty happy with all the features 1Password has to offer. I think they are doing a great job with everything they offered.

good experience. nothing to complain about and i do like that the business subscription also provides personal use as well
Pros: love that it has everything in one safe space for easy reference when I need it. I never have to worry if my information is secure and can share with my manager if needed.
Cons: I would like for 1password to save my new passwords automatically when using a new service or website.

Overall we've been very happy with 1Password. It's been a mainstay in our business for several years. It's what I try to get everyone to use so that I stop getting asked for help with passwords.
Pros: It's been super easy to use and works on both desktop and phone/tablet. It's saves us so much time not having to go through the forgot password reset process.
Cons: We went years ago from a 1 time paid product to having to pay monthly for it. At first I was pretty annoyed but that was in the begginning of the monthly subscription model for software.
Jeb B. · Project Manager · Publishing · May 30, 2025
Pros: I rely on 1Password for logins everywhere. No more “forgot password” ten times a week. It works fine across tools.
Cons: When it doesn’t autofill, it takes longer than expected to find the entry. The mobile version is slower than on desktop.
Jon S. · Sales Manager · Telecommunications · May 22, 2025
i loved it, i use it to share password in the team as a tool for handovers and giving access to different business unit to our team's tools
Pros: Given the classic features included in a password manager (single password to access your password's storage ecc.) i particularly appreciate the password sharing with the team
Cons: some administrative task can't be managed from the 1password plugin, but must be done throught the web interface
Daniele C. · Project Manager · Financial Services · May 22, 2025
Pros: Extremely secure design, password plus 2FA plus secret key (triple auth), pick your KDF algorithm, very flexible and reliable both in browsers and on mobile apps, SSH agent works great as well
Cons: Managing access to credentials across a team can be challenging due to lack of robust granular controls, end up sending copies of credentials creating a split-brain data situation
Anonymous User · Offensive Security Consultant · Computer & Network Security · May 20, 2025
1password is useful to create password vaults within your company or personal use and allows you to share these passwords with a specific group.
Pros: Last companies Ive worked with have been using 1password, its ability to create shared and private vaults has helped keeping things secured and safe to share.
Cons: Ive had situations where I can find the PDF they sent me to store my master key if i ever have problems with the password to open the extension.
