Pros: Great and helpful support. [sensitive content hidden] was very helpful, professional, and friendly throughout the whole session. She answered all my questions clearly and provided excellent assistance.
Cons: The product itself is not always self-explanatory, and some features require prior knowledge or additional research to understand and configure properly.

My overall experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has been largely positive, especially for centralized patch management and automation across mixed environments. The product does a very good job of simplifying patch operations by allowing administrators to manage the Windows updates, Linux patching, macOS updates and third-party applications from a single console.

Pros: I liked most about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is the balance between automation, visibility, and cost-effectiveness.
Cons: The UI and reporting feel outdated compared to modern competitors. Linux and macOS patching are not as mature as Windows patching.

I was about to get about 95% 100% patching on all of systems including servers and workstations. Patches are easy to deploy.
Pros: It is easy to use and it is cheaper than some of the other products we looked at. The customer support is excellent and you are able to get help within minutes.
Cons: There are some quirks with the UI, but I really don't have much to complain about. Sometimes when I decline a patch it does not work.

SO far so good, its difficult to give my overall experience when I'm such an early stage of installing it
Pros: Support for the product has been brilliant, I'm still in the configuration phase however support has been great
Cons: I haven't started using it yet, i'm in the middle of setting it up, ive been asked to complete this survey after receiving great support

So far everything looks good, but having the ability to create custom scripts would make it even better.
Pros: It allows me to efficiently patch Windows updates and manage updates for some third-party applications across systems.
Cons: We are unable to deploy custom scripts at this time, and support for third-party application updates is not included in this solution.

Overall experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus Overall, the experience has been positive and it has significantly simplified patch management. The platform helped automate patch deployment and reduced manual intervention for routine updates. Managing OS and third-party application patches from a single console improved operational efficiency. Patch compliance visibility helped track vulnerable systems more effectively. There were occasional challenges with troubleshooting failed deployments and navigating the UI. Despite a few limitations, it offers strong value for organizations looking for a cost-effective patch management solution.
Pros: Pros: What I liked most about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus Centralized dashboard to manage patching across all endpoints from one place Automated patch deployment, scheduling, and approval workflows Supports patching for both operating systems and third-party applications Helps quickly identify missing patches and vulnerable systems Reduces manual effort and improves overall patch compliance Flexible deployment options with minimal user disruption Supports Windows, and Linux environments Easy to deploy and manage for mid-sized organizations
Cons: Cons: What I liked least about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus User interface feels outdated and could be more intuitive Initial setup and policy configuration can take time Patch deployment failures sometimes require manual troubleshooting Reporting and dashboard customization options are limited Support response time can be inconsistent for complex issues Agent performance may occasionally impact endpoint resources Third-party patch catalog could be broader for niche applications

Communication was great and resolution was achieved in quick time. No unnecessary back and forth emails.
Pros: Had a support case about an issue with reporting patches for Oracle Linux (Perl). Reported the issue and communication was great. Responses were in acceptable timeframes.
Cons: One could argue that major Linux flavours like RHEL and Oracle Linux are already tuned correctly with ManageEngine patch detection. This could be achieved by taking into account back porting of security fixes and not simply basing package release version numbers based on Upstream source and comparing the version number.

My overall experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has been a mix of positives and some challenges: On the positive side, it offers centralized automation, strong third‑party application support, and compliance reporting, which makes patching across diverse environments much easier. However, certain infrastructure components like ESXi and VCSA are not directly supported, requiring manual intervention or OEM involvement, which adds complexity. Overall, it’s a robust and scalable solution, but it works best when paired with clear processes for handling unsupported systems and dependencies.
Pros: It provides centralized and automated patching across diverse environments, reducing manual effort. Its scalability and compliance features ensure consistent security across multiple regions and platforms. It supports both OS and third‑party application patching, giving complete coverage in one solution.
Cons: Here are some of the cons or least‑liked aspects of using ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus: Limited support for certain platforms – Infrastructure components like VMware ESXi and VCSA cannot be patched directly, requiring manual intervention or OEM involvement. Complex dependency handling – Third‑party applications often have dependencies that need additional approvals, which can slow down patch cycles. User interface and reporting limitations – While functional, the dashboards and reports can feel less intuitive compared to other enterprise patching tools. Scalability challenges in large environments – Managing distributed servers across multiple regions sometimes requires extra configuration and monitoring effort.

The experience has been quite good overall, with a very good learning curve and very rich information in terms of data.
Pros: The versatility and customization capabilities of the rules and settings allow for perfect patch deployment.
Cons: The lack of definition in some of the available configurations, as some of them look very similar and there doesn't seem to be a significant difference.
Oscar M. · IT · Computer Software · April 20, 2026
My overall experience with the customer support team has been positive. They are supportive and helpful, and with faster response times, the experience would be even better.
Pros: The customer support team is helpful, polite, and responsive. They try to resolve issues clearly and professionally.

We've been using patch manager plus for many years now and find it really easy to use, not just for patching but monitoring. it allows us to split our infrastructure into groups that are managed by different technicians. We're extremely happy with the product!
Pros: Ease of use, the way you can automate the patching process and rapid response from the support team.
Cons: Can't really say anything bad about it, it works really well and does the job! It's fast and reliable.
Kamil C. · It Engineer · Education Management · April 13, 2026
My overall experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has been very good and a very useful product. It’s a reliable tool for centralised patch management, allowing me to handle both operating system and third-party application updates from a single console
Pros: The Patch Manager has the ability to automatically scan for missing patches in the client machines and download and deploy them across platforms, without any manual effort with the help on Automatic Patch Deployment. This is also supported to the non-Microsoft applications.
Cons: 1.Sometimes the manual Deployment will take too much of time, and if it fails to deploy, then the tool doesn’t provide clear error messages to fix the failure issue. 2.We have mostly shared client machines, so multiple users are using the same machine, and some applications are installed on the user profile, like Zoom. And if another user is logged in, then the zoom of the other user's profile is not updated, and it will fail to deploy the patches.

We have been a customer since December 2025. I have been impressed with PM+ so far, Product is good and pretty robust, support is good. As an Enterprise customer, we are entitled to 4 Health checks a year (if required) one on site and the others remote.
Pros: $97
Cons: Like many consoles, there are a few quirks. Certain pages have a refresh where others do not, when searching for devices once you refresh it closes the search box, a minor annoyance. Dynamic Group creation suits our environment, however it not available to all functions within the console; although lesser favourable options are available but require more admin over head.

Great experience with product and support. Patches for the product are released very frequently and they cover every type of operating system.
Pros: The easy of use of the solution. It is very simple to have an entire overview of the status of patches for every workstation and server of the company and so it is simple to plan the patching phase.
Cons: Nothing because I never had a major issue or problem with the platform and in every situation the problems where solved very quickly.

It’s like having an extra junior admin on the team whose only job is to watch for vulnerabilities 24/7.
Pros: 1. The Massive 3rd-Party Catalog. 2. Automated Patch Deployment. 3. Granular Reboot Policies. 4. Centralized Visibility.
Cons: 1.Remote/Roaming User Struggles. 2.Linux and Mac are "Second-Class Citizens. 3.The "Manual Download" Annoyance.

Overall, my experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has been very positive. It has improved our patch management process and reduced security risks. Automation and reporting features make it a reliable solution for enterprise IT environments. I would definitely recommend it to organizations looking for an effective patch management tool.
Pros: Easy to use tool with strong patch automation. Helps keep systems secure and updated. Good support and detailed reports.
Cons: Initial setup and configuration can be slightly complex for first-time users and requires some learning. Also, the user interface can feel a bit overwhelming initially, especially in large environments.
Niraj Kumar P. · Assistant Manager – IT · Hospital & Health Care · April 1, 2026
I really enjoy using it. Support are quick to respond when tickets are raised, however sometimes it is difficult to get past 1st line. They are helpful though.
Pros: Patch Manager Plus is a great way to keep on top of patching the estate. It is especially good with Windows devices. There is a wide range of 3rd party applications that are in support. I've found it easy to use, easy to set up automated testing and deployment and I generally like using it. It supports Mac and Linux devices so you can also keep these up to date.
Cons: My current issue is that the support for 3rd party repositories for Linux is lacking. So Patch Manager is pushing out the OS updates, but no package updates for commonly used programs like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and VS Code. Support have put these things forward to the engineering team to see if it can be added in future.

Overall, my experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has been very positive. It consistently performs well, reduces manual work, and improves patch compliance across the environment. Once configured, it runs smoothly and provides a dependable solution for ongoing patch management.
Pros: What I liked most about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is the excellent balance between cost and functionality. It offers a very solid patch‑management engine that works reliably without requiring constant attention. The platform is easy to configure, intuitive to operate, and delivers consistent results across diverse systems, making daily maintenance much simpler.
Cons: The aspect I liked least is that the interface feels outdated compared to more modern management tools. While everything works reliably, the UI could be more polished, responsive, and aligned with current design standards. Navigation sometimes requires extras steps that could be streamlined for efficiency

My overall experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is strongly positive, driven by its automation capabilities, broad platform support, and comprehensive visibility
Pros: Users consistently appreciate its ability to completely automate patch discovery, testing, deployment, and reporting. This reduces manual effort and ensures timely updates.
Cons: Some users note that certain patches take a long time to apply or fail unexpectedly, requiring manual intervention.

Reliable patching solution with useful automation, though performance can lag at times. my team is enjoying product.
Pros: Easy automated patching with broad app coverage and clear, intuitive reporting dashboard are good value for money
Cons: Slow patch scans at scale and occasional console glitches reduce efficiency. macOS patching & internet patching visibility also OEM connect with PMP will help more

GPO deployment was super easy, IT team patch level now super. I am looking for notification adjustment.
Pros: Easy to use and really efficient. The helpdesk is really helpfull. We have many choise in reports tab
Cons: Self service portal design is old style. It is a good idea to customize it with company logo, but the overall responsness is laggy.
Peter R. · Infrastucture · Food & Beverages · March 5, 2026
Overall pretty good. Takes time to dploy it everywhere becaus we have servers in a lot a different networks.
Pros: Quite simple to use. And a real improvement in the application of our patches as well as the visibility we have if our servers are up to date.
Cons: A few technical issues. And there could be improvements on the rights we give. Maybe a way to approve computers better.
Sylvain C. · Infrastructure Expert · Telecommunications · March 4, 2026
Overall, my experience with Patch Manager Plus has been positive. It covers the essentials well, the interface is mostly intuitive, and the pricing makes it an easy choice. Where it falls short is in restart scheduling and streamlining the patching workflow, though I was able to work around the restart limitations by writing custom scripts to get the behavior I needed. With some refinement in those areas natively, it could easily go from a good tool to a great one.
Pros: Patch Manager Plus offers a straightforward and mostly intuitive interface that makes it easy to get up and running quickly. One of its biggest strengths is the variety of agent deployment options, so there's a method for just about any scenario. The dashboard gives a solid at-a-glance view of patching status, and the level of detail available when configuring update policies lets you get as granular as you need with approval rules and rollout behavior. Third-party application patching is something we plan to implement, and the pricing is very reasonable for what you get.
Cons: While Patch Manager Plus does a lot well, there are a few areas I wish were better. The restart scheduling options feel limited, and I'd love to see more granular control over when and how reboots are handled. For example, in my environment I often need to waterfall server restarts due to production requirements, restarting certain servers first and waiting before moving on to the next group to avoid downtime, and that's not as easy to set up as I'd like. The update process itself could also be a bit more streamlined, as there are times where applying patches feels like it involves more steps than it should.
