Microsoft OneDrive is a web-based digital asset management solution that allows businesses of all sizes to manage, collaborate, and share files. Administrators can set up a private or public site for authorized users, who can then create online folders to store their documents. Businesses can share sensitive data without revealing proprietary information by allowing only authorized people to access the folder. Users can also access and edit documents within the same collaborative environment. The Microsoft 365 interactive scanning app lets users scan and convert paper to searchable PDFs directly from their device.

Overall, OneDrive is a dependable and cost-effective cloud storage solution. It does a great job balancing ease of use, reliable file storage, and seamless integration with Microsoft tools, making it especially valuable for both individuals and teams.
Pros: OneDrive integrates extremely well with the Microsoft ecosystem, especially if you're already using tools like Excel, Word, SharePoint, or Teams. File syncing is generally fast and reliable, and being able to access documents from anywhere—desktop or mobile—is a big advantage. It also offers strong value for money, especially when bundled with Microsoft 365, giving you a large amount of cloud storage at a reasonable cost compared to many alternatives. Uploading files is simple and efficient, and OneDrive handles both small documents and larger files well in most cases. Features like automatic backup and version history make it easy to recover files and prevent data loss. Collaboration is also smooth, with multiple users able to work on the same document in real time
Cons: OneDrive can occasionally have syncing issues, especially when dealing with large files or complex folder structures. The interface, while functional, can feel a bit cluttered when managing a large number of files. Additionally, sharing and permission settings aren’t always as intuitive as they could be, which can sometimes lead to access confusion.

Cons: Not all apps synchronize seamlessly with Onedrive in a way that is very clear and also prompts connections that seem unnecessary

I love having OneDrive! I can easily save any important PDFs, photos and organize the all in different folders ready for whenever I need them.
Pros: OneDrive is a great tool and is an easy and efficient way to store and organize files, photos and more!
Cons: I don’t have anything that I dislike about OneDrive! I use it everyday and maybe occasionally there is a delay here or there but otherwise is an amazing tool!

Overall, OneDrive provides a strong and dependable experience for document storage and collaboration within the Microsoft ecosystem. It is particularly effective for organisations already using Microsoft 365, as it fits naturally into existing workflows. While some usability and governance challenges exist, it remains a reliable tool for day‑to‑day file management.
Pros: OneDrive integrates seamlessly with Microsoft 365, making it very convenient for storing and accessing documents within tools like Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint. File synchronisation across devices is reliable, and the ability to co‑author documents directly in Office apps improves productivity. It also works well for secure file sharing within an organisational environment.
Cons: File organisation and navigation can become confusing, especially when working across multiple folders, shared libraries, and synced locations. There can also be occasional issues with sync delays or conflicts when multiple users update files offline or simultaneously. Managing permissions and understanding ownership across shared files is not always straightforward.

For customer support it is good enough. Compared to other companies, the pricing is great as I can purchase with add-ons with reduced pricing. Syncing is fast and easy. I have used this with other software to upload files or search for files and it never disappointed.
Pros: My organization provides 1TB of cloud storage with my account. The great thing is that if I upload by any device, it almost instantly gets synced to all off my devices.
Cons: There is no way to run video and audio files sometimes in cloud website. The app takes time to load files.

This is a great product for boosting productivity. I've used it personally since almost day one. Therefore, I loved it when we brought it into the office. We've used it for around six years, and it continues to make life massively easier.
Pros: I love the way it improves every aspect of working life, from file uploads to easy transfers. I love working on documents in real-time and not having to worry about losing work.
Cons: Occasionally, the automatic syncing disconnects, and it may be a while before I notice. It's a minor inconvenience.

Pros: Ability to sync OneDrive folders to your desktop computer rather than accessing the files through the web.
Cons: Desktop sync functionality sometimes has bugs and takes a while to set up, but it works well once it is set up.

Overall, onedrive is an app that is very easy to use, its interface is friendly. It is one of the best file storing and syncing app I have ever used.
Pros: I like the fact that it has an automatic backup system. I like the fact that its storage capacity is enough for me as it is quite large, although one may needs to procure more storage by making payment. It is fast when uploading documents. It is so good in managing documents.
Cons: The con I can say I have for onedrive is that one needs to pay in order to have more storage. Aside that ,every other things is good.

Overall, OneDrive works well among the other Microsoft apps, but the interface/file organization can be frustrating, especially when quick access matters.
Pros: I used OneDrive through my university’s Microsoft access, and it worked well for basic file storage and syncing, especially with Word, which I used most often. It was helpful having documents automatically saved and accessible across devices.
Cons: OneDrive has always felt less intuitive than other cloud storage options, and it took time to understand where files were actually being stored and how to access them properly. In my last year of college, I also had an experience where I struggled to quickly locate an important file right when I needed it, which made the system feel unreliable in a very high stakes moment.

Overall I've had a pretty positive experience with OneDrive and it's become a regular part of my workflow. The reliability has been solid and I don't really worry about losing files anymore which is the whole point. If they ever improve the download speeds for larger files it would honestly be close to perfect for my needs.
Pros: OneDrive is certainly among the most useful cloud storage services, particularly if you’re using Microsoft products. It’s really convenient for me that all my work gets synchronized automatically without any need for additional effort on my part. The connection with Office applications is flawless, and collaboration within shared files becomes much easier than sending emails around.
Cons: The biggest gripe I have is how slow it can get when you're trying to download larger files. It feels like it throttles at some point because smaller stuff comes down fast but anything over a few gigs just crawls. It's not a dealbreaker but it's definitely noticeable and a little frustrating when you're in a hurry.

Overall, OneDrive is a robust and highly dependable cloud storage solution, particularly for those already entrenched in the Windows environment. It provides a "set it and forget it" experience where file security and accessibility are handled quietly in the background. While the interface for managing shared links could be more streamlined, its performance in backup reliability and cross-device availability makes it a top-tier choice for both professional and personal file management.
Pros: What I liked most about OneDrive is that it is integrated into the Microsoft 365 Suite in a way which allows for smooth syncing of files between Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and the use of the "Files On-Demand" function. Thus, access to large quantities of data becomes possible without occupying hard disk space. Real time collaboration as well as auto-saving in Office are excellent features of OneDrive.
Cons: The thing I liked least about OneDrive is that the sync conflicts are resolved by creating copies of the files rather than using a merging feature. Also, the web interface seems to be less responsive when compared to the desktop version. Finally, while the strict timeout of the personal vault provides extra security, it may disrupt the workflow if someone works continuously.

OneDrive makes it super easy to sync all my data to all my devices. I can easily share files and feel it’s very secure. Also integrates seamlessly across all devices.
Pros: OneDrive is one of the best online storage platforms. No matter of on a mobile device, PC or Mac I can access and share my data with ease.
Cons: There are some times they make it tricky and you accidentally sync all of your data on a new device.

My experience has been nothing but great with OneDrive. I have the abiliity to use offline and this makes things less stressful in those situations.
Pros: What I love most about OneDrive is the searchability within all of your saved and shared documents. There are many times I am unable to find something, but searching brings it up quickly.
Cons: There is nothing I like least about OneDrive. It has been the best platform to use and I would also recommend to anyone.

As a team using Microsoft products, onedrive has been great. Enabling access and using onedrive as personal storage has been great
Pros: One drive is the most value for money for teams which are part of the microsoft environment. It integrates seamlessly with Microsoft applications and also has been a good personal storage platform for us to use ,partially due to its high ease of use. File uploads are easy.
Cons: One drive is only the best if the team already uses Microsoft products. If not, there are a lot of options in the market from Google and others which would be better alternatives with better customer support.

Overall it’s been a positive experience and one that we have utilized for many years with no major concerns.
Pros: The system works really well and hold a lot of information for our business. Which is very important.
Cons: Sometimes the search of OneDrive is a bit confusing or doesn’t always pull up the document right away.

It's a life saver in our office. Makes file sharing and backup simple. Gives users peace of mind that their files are safe.
Pros: Comes with our Office 365 accounts. Very valuable for everyone in the office. Very easy way to share files with external clients.
Cons: Users are confused about the differences between OneDrive and SharePoint and I have to explain to them often when each one should be used.

nobody likes oneDrive. computers have internal memory. microsoft is simply setting up to charge us to access saved files of our own darned information gross.
Pros: not very much. the rare chance to opt out and save/ store things where i prefer to. nobody likes onedrive.
Cons: microsoft and/or oneDrive seem to believe they are deigned access to every last bit of us, even the bits we wanted to save for ourselves. certainly not okay. just take us back to windows 8 standards.
Alison H. · owner operator · Chemicals · May 7, 2026
Overall, the system is great and easy to navigate. I have the search bar where you can find anything you need, and how you can organize and sort through the files to find what you need.
Pros: OneDrive allows the opportunity to access files anywhere at any time from any device. It is convenient and gives organizations access to shared files.
Cons: It is hard to find and download on a new device if you are not familiar with the app. There are also times when you download an app, and you are not able to continue the process unless you have a "user domain" which is not your usual login information, and it will not allow you to move forward without it.
Keturah O. · Health and Outreach Manager · Education Management · May 6, 2026
My overall experience has been positive. It’s reliable, integrates well with Windows and Microsoft 365, and makes file access, sharing, and collaboration easy. Syncing and version history are convenient, though occasional slow syncs and storage limits can be frustrating. Overall, it keeps my files organized and accessible.
Pros: I find it incredibly convenient for cloud storage and file management. It integrates seamlessly with Windows and Microsoft 365, making access to documents, spreadsheets, and presentations smooth across devices. The automatic syncing feature ensures that files are always up-to-date, and version history allows me to recover previous edits easily. Sharing files and collaborating with colleagues is straightforward, with customizable permissions for secure access. The mobile app keeps me productive on the go, and offline access ensures I can work without an internet connection. Overall, it’s reliable, easy to use, and keeps all my important files organized in one place.
Cons: I’ve noticed a few drawbacks. Syncing large files or multiple devices can be slow, and occasionally files fail to sync properly. The desktop app can use significant system resources, impacting performance on older devices. Free storage is limited to 5 GB, which fills up quickly for media-heavy users. Managing shared file permissions can be confusing, especially for those less familiar with Microsoft’s ecosystem. Some features are limited on Mac or Linux. Deleted files are only recoverable within a set period, which can be risky if overlooked.
Arti R. · Engineer · Accounting · May 6, 2026
Pros: What I like most about OneDrive is the ability to access files via from anywhere and easily share files virtually.
Cons: What I least like about OneDrive is sometimes the servers to connect can be slow, causing delay in transfers.
Jade D. · Construction Project Engineer · Construction · May 5, 2026
My overall experience with OneDrive has been mostly positive. It’s a reliable cloud storage solution that fits well into my daily workflow, especially because it integrates so smoothly with Microsoft Office and Windows. I like how it keeps my files synced across devices without me having to think about it. The interface is straightforward and easy to navigate, which makes managing and sharing files simple. There have been a few hiccups with syncing large files or handling multiple versions, but those are relatively minor compared to the convenience it offers. Overall, OneDrive has made accessing and collaborating on documents much easier for me.
Pros: What I really like about OneDrive is how easy it is to use and how well it works with other Microsoft apps I use every day. It keeps all my files synced automatically, so I don’t have to worry about losing anything or manually updating stuff. Sharing files with friends or coworkers is straightforward, and I appreciate the security features that keep my data safe without being complicated. Overall, it just makes managing and accessing my files hassle-free.
Cons: One thing I find a bit frustrating about OneDrive is that sometimes the syncing can be a little slow or glitchy, especially when dealing with large files or lots of changes at once. It can also get a bit confusing when there are multiple versions of the same file, making it tricky to know which one is the most up to date. Occasionally, the storage limits feel a bit tight unless you pay for extra space, which can be annoying if you have a lot of files to store. Overall, these are minor issues, but they do affect the experience sometimes
Nasrullah A. · Computer Engineer · Computer Software · May 2, 2026
Overall is a great cloud storage, but I think it can do better with the OS integration, and the default settings.
Pros: It has great integration with Windows, but it might be a bit difficult to use for some people. The service offers about 15gb of free space, and has different pay options for more storage. The upload of files and documents is easy, and integrated in the OS. The files can easily transfer from the cloud to the computer, and very fast, but it does require you to actively do this. If you are without internet for whatever reason, you are going to be locked out of your files.
Cons: It is set to on by default, this can be a problem for some user, especially those not as tech savvy. Having to turn it off, or to set local storage as your default is a great downside.
Jesus G. · Case Worker · Mental Health Care · May 1, 2026
Its great as it gives real-time access to files for all authorised personnel therefore even in remote working collaboration is possible
Pros: Wide range of formats that can be uploaded allowing for keeping of samples and different editions that have been utilised
Cons: Single File size limit depending on the subscription seems to always want to funnel us to a higher plan and in some cases you only have oversized files in a blue moon reducing value for money
