GoGuardian

Pros: GoGuardian does an excellent job of allowing me to monitor and have some control over the devices of my students. The monitoring itself is great, but my favorite parts of GoGuardian are the automatic and manual tab controls. At certain times throughout the day (start of lessons), I can have specific tabs automatically open and others not be allowed. These small controls help my classes to run much more smoothly.

Cons: GoGuardian has a bit of a habit of slowing down, freezing, or being unreliable. Though this has considerably improved in the last year, there are still lessons in which it is unavailable or experiencing slow downs. This used to be a larger concern and doesn't happen much anymore, but it is still very inconvenient when it happens. I know that there are issues and nothing works perfectly all the time, but the dependability of the product is really important.

Pros: Nothing, Im a student that uses it and I really dislike go guardian.

Cons: It snitches on me and all my friends, It shows my history report to my teachers, It allows them to track my screen, I mean do they just not trust me anymore as a student?

Pros: I dont like gogaurdian and it is an invasion of privacy and breaks the law

Cons: the whole peace of software is really bad and should be banned from schools

Pros: GoGuardian is extremely user friendly. I sent one text to a teacher saying, go to this site and login this way. I then stopped in an hour later and she was chatting with students, setting up scenes, locking kids out of their devices. She needed no training. BUT if there is a need, they also have amazing tutorials to show how to do things.

Cons: Its great, but we do seem to have students that can figure out ways around it.

Pros: I love that I am able to activate a scene to keep students on task. I like being able to monitor online use and have the information all in one place for parents and admin to be able to see how students are using technology.

Cons: I wish you could set scenes on a time frame so they auto turned off.

Pros: I like the ability to check students when they are working online. I especially like to monitor students when they are typing essays. I can read it quickly and send a chat message with feedback. I also like the chat feature because I am able to discreetly communicate with students about their work or lack thereof. I also like the reports that generate when the session ends. I like that I can see what websites students visited while on the computer.

Cons: One thing I do not like about GoGuardian is that it lets students know when I turn it on. Of course, when they know that I am looking they change the page so I cannot see what they were doing. I would like to see who is consistently following the rules without giving notice that I am checking. Also, I don't like that workarounds exist so that students can do things which will not show up on the GoGuardian screen. They are able to display a different screen or appear offline when they are not. This needs to be fixed.

Pros: The ability to monitor what students are doing on their devices at any time.

Cons: The amount of steps it take to sign in and open the classroom.

Pros: Before using GoGuardian, it was nearly impossible to monitor what students were accessing on their computers. Even if I continuously walked around the room monitoring, by the time I reached their desks they'd simply close the tab, or close the computer. Making accusations when I suspect misbehavior isn't an option. If I can simply look at my computer monitor and quickly give students a warning, the situation is easily resolved. It's a game-changer.

Cons: At this point there's nothing I dislike about GoGuardian.

Pros: I really like how easy GoGuardian is to use. I just sign on with my google account, choose my classes, and then I am able to monitor student activity and progress. I also like the way that I can see various types of data pertaining to student activity...from actual websites visited, time browsing and actual time on task. I can also see a timeline of the student activity and I have a record of the timeline.

Cons: I would really like to have a button or quick switch to lock all devices. Maybe it is there already, but I haven't figured it out. I would also like a little more detail when viewing student timelines.

Pros: Works well for remote desktop management and classroom management of devices.

Cons: It is costly for the features we used it for.

Pros: Several features come to mind when considering the positive aspects of this product. GoGuardian serves to keep students on task by allowing a teacher or administrator the ability to control web access for a specific class or group. The software also allows the teacher to see in real time what all the students are seeing on their screens and to receive useful reports on student activity.

Cons: It is not as intuitive and easy to learn as I would have liked and at times there are conflicts between the different administrators using the system at the same time.

Pros: I love how easy it is to help student stay on task while viewing all of their screens. I can close unnecessary tabs, annotate where they need to click, and send chats to help them.

Cons: I had trouble creating my own scenes at first but the issue was quickly resolved!

Pros: I can see what my students are doing. It has a great impact!

Cons: Sometimes it froze when I'm trying to see what my students are doing

Pros: It has many additional useful features that other available softwares in the market don't have. Activity dashboard, class room management and communication management are the best features in it.

Cons: Lesson planning, record of good and weak students, discipline issues are the features may be included in it.

Pros: The feature I use the most is setting up a class session and dipping into what the kids are doing here and there. I can see what is on their screen and follow up on miscreants. This is helpful when I can't see every screen by scanning the room.

Cons: I feel a little tied to my own screen, but I have structured the classroom so that kids come to me a little more often.

Pros: The schools to see my students' screens is so necessary. I can close their tabs, annotate on their screens, screenshot their screens, and chat with them. This is all five remotely!

Cons: Adding student can be tricky at first, but it is easiest to import students from Google classroom.

Pros: I like GoGurdian as I can watch over my students

Cons: I can't see all my students. I don't like how this only works for students with Chrome books

Pros: GoGuardian helps teachers ensure that students are using computers appropriately and staying on task. I love that you can see what students are doing, as well as what other tabs they have open. The ability to freeze the screen and take screenshots helps to monitor and document student activity. I've also used the recorded session reviews frequently.

Cons: At first, GoGuardian is a little tricky to set up. Once the class is set up, however, it starts daily and is easy to use.

Pros: When teaching virtual, I am able to see exactly what they are doing and their progress on their assignments.

Cons: There isn't anything that I do not like about it. It is very easy to use.

Pros: It is user friendly. It has all the features I need to monitor my class specially during test. I like that I can see the sites that they visited and can check their honesty.

Cons: So far I haven't seen anything in particular that I don't like. I will be using the program 2 days from now during ACT mimic test. Let's see how it goes.

Pros: I love everything about GoGuardian. I am able to aggressively monitor student academic growth through GoGuardian. I am also able to manage the websites that students use on a daily basis.

Cons: I do not have any feedback for growth! GoGuardian is an amazing program. You will not regret it!

Pros: Ease if use!! It is so easy to set up as a teacher and monitor your classes.

Cons: It took a bit to get it set up as an administrator but once we figured it out all has run smoothly! Their customer service was extremely patient and helpful.

Pros: I love the real-time feedback this program offers while my students are engaging in a technology-based assignment.

Cons: I have not found anything I dislike about this program.
