Culture Amp is a performance management and employee engagement platform used primarily by midsize and enterprise businesses in software services, IT, and finance. Reviewers value its survey and goal-setting tools, though some cite challenges with UX and scalability. A 2025 update introduced unified performance cycles and AI-powered feedback summaries.

Overall, my experience with Culture Amp has been very positive. It is a robust and well-designed platform that helps simplify many People Operations processes while still providing meaningful insights into employee engagement and performance. The platform is easy to use, visually clear, and integrates well with our HR systems, which saves time and improves accuracy. I especially appreciate how straightforward it is to manage employee-related workflows and access reporting and analytics. Culture Amp has been a valuable tool for supporting employee experience initiatives, and despite a few areas where additional administrative flexibility would help, I consider it a very complete and reliable system.
Pros: Culture Amp has a very intuitive and user-friendly interface, which makes it easy for both administrators and employees to navigate the platform without extensive training. The layout is clean, information is easy to find, and the overall experience feels very streamlined. One of the features I value the most is the integration with our HRIS, which helps keep employee data synchronized and reduces manual work for the People Operations team. It also makes processes such as surveys, performance reviews, and employee management much more efficient, and the ability to schedule surveys is also valuable.
Cons: One limitation I have noticed is that once a survey has been sent to an employee, there is no simple way to fully cancel or delete it. Having the ability to retract or remove a survey after sending it would be very useful in situations where a survey was triggered by mistake or needs to be adjusted. In some cases, a bit more flexibility around survey management and administration tools would improve the experience for HR teams. Aside from that, the platform works very well overall and I had never experience any bugs or issues.

Pros: We use CultureAmp to collect and provide semi-annual peer and management performance feedback. The platform is relatively simple and straightforward.
Cons: At times I have to go back and forth a bit until I find a review I'm looking for. I'd look forward to an updated menu system.

Pros: Easy to use and navigate, with a clear and intuitive flow. Collaboration is seamless, and the added Employee Skills Coach section is a valuable feature that enhances the overall experience.
Cons: Some features can be time consuming to navigate and fully utilize. Additionally, the Slack integration could be improved to be more interactive and user-friendly.

Experience overall has been great. We use Culture Amp all the time it really helps with managing and understanding our team engagement.
Pros: I like that with Culture Amp it provides surveys to use, edit or you can create your own. The functionality is great and love the AI insights.
Cons: When reviewing survey results in Culture Amp, I'd like to see not only the percentage breakdown showing favorable, neutral, or unfavorable responses for each question, but also the individual response weights. Essentially, while maintaining anonymity, it would be helpful to view each person's answers without names and understand how their responses contributed to the overall scoring.

They are great! they have a simple product, their team is the BEST at reaching out to our staff or just explaining new highlights or features. They are just a superb company!
Pros: I think it is a great software for most companies! They excel in simple company surveys for any size company.
Cons: I think they need to have a couple more options for the 1 on 1s for managers to use, and maybe some more basic simple surveys to just use more daily or trainings.

Overall, culture amp has been great to document the progress new hires are making in the company, I can provide actionable and constructive feedback to my peers.
Pros: I love that culture amp allows me to provide real time feedback to my colleagues, specially to recognize their great work and how it impacts my role.
Cons: That in culture amp the feedback i give is not visible in other platforms at least in my current setup.

Pros: Culture Amp has been amazing because I'm able to give constructive feedback to my colleagues, and they to me. I gives me actionable items that I can work on and makes me feel valued.
Cons: Everything works perfect for me, maybe make it easier to see seperate feedbacks during G&I cycles, but super happy overall.

I really enjoy using Culture Amp as an employee engagement tool and will continue to register for their regular webinars to keep me updated on HR trends and topics.
Pros: We use Culture Amp in our company to assess employee engagement. I enjoy how simple it is to set up eithrr a custom or template survey, and how it analyses survey responses for you. I also enjoy the regular webinars that I get invited to attend. The speakers and the content on the webinars is usually very informative and relevant to my role as a HR professional.
Cons: At first, it was difficult to understand how to import participants onto Culture Amp - the process wasn’t so clear and intuitive. It required reading the Help resources. However, I managed to figure it out after further research!

While the tool has a lot of potential if you have the resources to put into it, I feel like it has been overcomplicated and while I appreciate the responsiveness of their support team and flexibility of surveys, I don't know how much ROI we have seen with our basic use.
Pros: I like the ability to be able to create multiple surveys for a variety of different purposes within Culture Amp from Onboarding and Engagement to 360 Reviews and Exit Interviews, it is helpful and can be as simple or complex as needed with the aid of the presets and templates offered.
Cons: There is a bit of a learning curve to the navigation of the tool for administrators as things aren't always where you expect them to be. I also feel that we have seen more data issues than should occur and the value for the money is not ideal.

Pros: Culture Amp is used to perform surveys at my job to get a basic feeling for how employees are doing and how they feel that the company is running to see if there needs to be any changes.
Cons: Sometimes the range of the questions can be too broad or the selection of answers doesn't quite fit the question.

Versatile software tool with the tendency to lose employees and leaders in various numbers of to dos instead of managing the workflow (per team, per feedback round, per performance discussion etc.)
Pros: Provides 360° feedback options (upward, direct, peer) and can be nominated and assigned individually / according to need of the organization
Cons: The usability with surveys, cycles and dependencies was sometimes overwhelming (although the organization size was not too large). Also, the number of separate tasks / reminders creates more confusion that focusing on simple deadlines and open to dos.

Culture Amp is a great tool that has helped us track employee engagement, collect meaningful feedback, and create data-driven action plans. The platform makes it easy to run pulse and engagement surveys while providing valuable insights into team morale and organizational trends. While it’s more robust than some competitors, the learning curve and pricing could be a bit much for smaller teams, but it can be a great investment in building a stronger culture.
Pros: The interface is clean and intuitive, making it simple for users to navigate. The survey templates are easy to launch and customize, and the customer support is excellent.
Cons: There are limitations on customization for surveys and reports, and reporting can be a bit overwhelming.

Pros: Culture Amp makes it easy to roll out company wide and department surveys. The software is very intuitive and they offer great support
Cons: The manual import process can take some time when adding new employees, however, Culture Amp does give you the option to import new users in multiple ways.

Pros: It is easy to use and provide good insights
Cons: The survey presentation can felt a little overwhelming

Really positive. The engagement/survey side has been most used by our business. We are still encouraging employees to use the 1-2-1 functions more as not everyone has adopted them.
Pros: The fact it summaries answers from employee engagement surveys into themes (this has saved us lots of time!)
Cons: Doesn't always sync perfectly to our employee list, so we are reminding people about surveys on our intranet and very occasionally a new starter hasn't been included (as lists haven't synced)

CultureAmp has been great for keeping me on track day in day out
Pros: I've loved using CutureAmp to track daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals
Cons: I do not have any complaints about CultureAmp
Anonymous User · Sr SDR · Computer Software · February 4, 2025
Pros: Very user friendly UI, easy for employees to fill their goals and add reflections. Feels more empathetic than other similar tools. Simple does the job, easy to review tasks and 1to1s.
Cons: Perhaps just one thing can be improved - skills coach section - i would prefer how we can utilize AI and other tech to make our life easier and reduce manual workload. Basically more modern training.

My company purchased the survey module from Culture Amp last year. We looked at 10 or so other vendors, 2 of them making it to the final round, and Culture Amp being our final choice due to the experience we had during the sales process, the great UI, and and the support offered by their company. We've been happy with the tool after running one large company-wide survey and a couple of smaller ones. Culture Amp works hard to make sure employee data is kept confidential.
Pros: Lovely UI, easy to manage employee data, configure surveys, and track results through the tool.
Cons: There is very little to speak negatively about Culture Amp. The application is great and support has met expectations.

Really great UI/UX on the site makes navigation and understanding really easy! Tracking goals and discussion points overtime and integrating throughout 1:1s has been really handy to stay on top of everything discussed over time.
Pros: It's great to be able to track goals and items historically across 1:1s and see the progression or recall things that otherwise would be forgotten.
Cons: No major cons. There are features that we don't utilize, but everything we do use functions well.

Pros: At first Culture Amp was very customer-centric and committed to building a performance platform that would scale as you did. We have used Culture Amp for years and in the beginning, it was a fantastic product. If you are under 100 employees, have no growth anticipated, and do not need a robust performance management solution they could still be a good fit.
Cons: $82

Not helpful with more strategic initiatives.
Pros: Not good for large scale and high growth organizations. Their integration with Rippling is a joke and leads to terrible data and duplicative profiles. Very buggy -- when you run performance cycles the UX is different for self reflection vs performance. It means you have to manually update and edit everything. Also, they don't have on demand customer service -- just the chat bot, so if you need anything more complex.. like talent grids or ways to review calibration modules, you have to contact your CS team and in our experience their solutions are super limited. Mostly they tell you to just download the CSV and then manually create reporting or detailed info outside of the system. Not great.
Cons: UX is terrible -- it is not user friendly at all.

Cons: Easy to use and customise for specific needs
Tair K. · Associate Director · Accounting · July 29, 2024
Pros: I believe in Culture Amp's purpose of brining together functionality around employee engagement, goal setting, performance management and improving organizational culture into one comprehensive development zone. From a high level view, it seems to integrate the right components in a reasonably intuitive structure There is ample room for customization.
Cons: $83

Pros: It's user friendly, quick and has listed all tasks, goals company values which employees only to validate.
Cons: I guess I am fine with the all process but it there are options to go through with the employees, understand their goals and commitments together and then submit on the culture amp.
