I am a user of Trakstar Perform, submitting my performance reviews to my manager each month by adding comments. We get email notifications when we have completed our parts. We can go back and review previous months. It's basic but does what we need it to do.
Pros: It's relatively simple and easy to use just for monthly 121s.
Cons: Visually it looks quite basic, and I don't believe it's particularly customisable but I may be wrong as I'm not the main Admin.

It was awful. The sales team overpromise and implementation and customer support do not deliver. I spent my vacation time working through unresolved issues.

Pros: They promised the moon. All items we requested, we were told they could do it. They Told our company they would be there every step of the way… it did not happen.
Cons: Over promised, clunky integration, customer service is a joke as the can not help and their response time to talk to someone take days, the help videos are outdated. Our account manager ghosted us and we were not assigned another one for 6 months. For what our company paid, we did not get a return on investment. I would steer clear of Trakstar.

Terrible. When we discovered that the platform was not helpful to our organization, they would not work with us to get out of the three-year contract. They continued to try to help us figure out how to make the product work for us even though we had spent a year doing that. Be cautious of companies that lock you into contracts when little work needs to go into onboarding.
Pros: It kept reviews and one-on-ones in one place
Cons: It was generic. The employee surveys asked bland questions and gave little basic perspective into employee feedback.

Overall, I've had a positive experience. They have detailed articles and tutorial videos that teach you how to use each features available on this platform.
Pros: Trakstar is easy to use and navigate. It provides an efficient and effective platform to engage employees in actively participating in their performance management process. It is user-friendly for employees and administrators.
Cons: The report feature does not have a report that displays progress over time.

Pros: The software is very easy to use. Our employees engage throughout the year to drop notes and examples in the moment to draw on during annual reviews.
Cons: The only thing we were looking for that we can't do is group review elements by category. Each item stands independent with a comment option by line item. We were hoping for comments by area of focus.

I really enjoy the tracking and review process, however I wish that TrakStar was easier to use on a daily basis from a logistical standpoint.
Pros: The product that results from the manager's review is great information. Reviews are summarized in a uniform fashion across employees. Attributes reviewed appear to be very customizable.
Cons: The platform is extremely unintuitive. It's difficult to find your own reviews and reviews are not categorized by year or any other identifiable way. There also does not appear to be a way to request an ad hoc review within the software, so our team has to send an email to the administrator to being a review. Employees should be able to request a review within the software.

Pros: The flexibility of Trakstar to mirror the organization's current performance appraisal process was what sold us. We were able to adapt the software to fit our needs and the ease of use is absolutely great.
Cons: I honestly find it difficult to identity what I like least about this software. Compared to the previous software we used for Performance Appraisal, Trakstar is absolutely wonderful. It met all our software needs; the pricing was very reasonable, and the transition was effortless. From the sales agent to the account officer, we have had an awesome experience.

It has helped to streamline our review process and we are fine-tuning it with each review cycle to reflect what we are really looking for in a review/performance management tool.
Pros: I find the layout of the software/site to be clean and pretty easy to maneuver around.
Cons: I find the software fairly easy to use - but I think it's more because I am one of the administrators and helped to customize it to our needs and the fact that I use it more often than other staff. We are still trying to get staff to use it more often (for notes, etc.) rather than once/twice a year when doing their reviews.

Consistency in reviews.
Pros: Super easy for the teammates to use the platform.
Cons: As an administrator, I reach out to support for help on set up and reports, only because I set it up annually.

Pros: What I like best about this software is that you don't have to set up separate processes for Goal Setting, Mid-Year, or Year-End. Your appraisal is one process that stays open all year long. You can continuously make notes and track progress. I also love the ability to customize the software however you like as well.
Cons: I haven't found anything that I don't like about Trakstar.

Overall, I think it's a great system and so much better than the one we had before. As mentioned, it's easy to use and to navigate, and the customer service team is very quick to respond to any questions. As an administrator, I love being able to log in as others in order to see what they're seeing - it makes my life easier.
Pros: The best feature about this software is its ease of use. A few of our employees aren't very technologically-minded, and they have no problem navigating the system and completing their reviews. It's simple and straightforward and offers a lot of flexibility.
Cons: We're just starting to use the Goals portion of the software, and, as a company, we're a bit on the conservative side, and we'd rather not have the employees be able to create their own measurements. It's great to have that feature, but there should also be a way to turn it off if we don't want it.

Pros: Straight Forward, customizable to firm needs
Cons: After the face-to-face, the need to copy down reviews from multi raters into the employee's appraisal was very clunky and a lot of lead reviewers didn't know this strep was needed (by no fault of their own)

The employees complain about performance management; but not about trakstar. I always separate the two. They like trakstar. I do a training called "Tips for Better Appraisals" and integrate the use of trakstar into it and how easy it is to ensure that you will get an excellent review if you utilize the great features availble in trakstar such as the notes and goal tracking.
Pros: Ease of use; customer service. The set-up is extremely easy; changing forms is easy.
Cons: Extra cost for the added features - succession planning

Pros: It is quite easy for anyone to use. Even if you aren’t familiar with it or you are having any difficulty in using it, there are videos for guidance. Training is also very easy. You can also customize your performance appraisal to the needs of the organization. Cost is quite inexpensive. Software allows employee to be a part of the process, something which had been previously lacking in organizations in conduction performance evaluations.
Cons: Customization options are somewhat limited.

Overall, it did a good job at what it was supposed to do.
Pros: I loved that it can be customizable for feedback and performance review. It was straightforward on rating and writing comments on performance.
Cons: There was some slight hiccups with compatibility with my browser.

Trakstar has been a very easy to use and interactive performance software. As a regular user (non-manager), I find it comprehensive enough to track all my goals and tasks but simple enough to update on an ongoing basis. My favorite aspect is the notes feature, which lets me add notes to my goals at any time, so that when I do my review at the end of the year I already have notes to reference. I can also share my notes with my manager, so she can see my progress.
Pros: very user friendly, lots of features, interactive feedback - can take notes on tasks at any time that can be shared with managers, can keep track of progress on goals in real time
Cons: sometimes while updating notes/goals the appraisal doesn't update immediately, but after logging out and back in again everything was correct

Pros: TrakStar is good for our semiannually Employee Reviews. I am able to upload documents or screenshots to each employee's individual profile. I can leave comments for my managers to see privately without the employee seeing.
Cons: I wish there was a better tool for biweekly 1-on-1s. Sort of like a questionnaire I can send out each week to get feedback. It's not the easiest software to navigate either.

Since installation we have drastically improved the consistency and timeliness of staff reviews. Also love the goals and objectives.
Pros: Customer service/support is great. I haven’t had many issues, but when I did support was fast and even followed up a day later to make sure things were still fine. My issues were user related. The software is solid!
Cons: The reporting is a bit limited. Might be nice to have the ability to create some customized reports.

1) automation of tasks that honestly were payroll driven vs manager. 2) goal setting and goal measurement.
Pros: Trackstar is HR based, meaning was created by folks with deep HR experience, vs a tech or software company that now sells their own solution. And it shows. We are just starting and thrilled with the detail and ease of use

I manage a team with some shared goals as well as individual goals. Trakstar allows me to work with my employee to track their progress throughout the year. This allows for more shared accountability among the employees and me as their manager. It has helped me to keep not only my staff on track with their goals, but it keeps me on track with my own performance goals. Trakstar is unique and a valuable tool to any company wanting to provide meaningful performance goals while seeing positive results.
Pros: I really like how you can both individualize performance goals AND cascade collective goals per employee. This makes for a very convenient system when you have group goals and individual goals for your staff. Trakstar also gives a sense of accountability to employees to update notes on their progress towards performance goals. The monthly reminders to enter notes are wonderful!
Cons: The support videos for using Trakstar are good, but I wish their were slides and non-video aids to help through tutorials as you learn to use Trakstar.
