Pros: Super intuitive, flexible, and has performed well for us the past two years. A superb built in way for us to have a big (truly) increase in donations accompanying ticket purchases.
Cons: I'm sure there is something, but I can't think of any at the moment. I don't even remember specifically what we found so unsatisfying with EventBrite, but I do know that we are now (with ThunderTix) in a very rare situation - we really like our ticketing software.

We have been using ThunderTix for 2 concert seasons. We use it for selling concert tickets and fundraising events and we are very happy
Pros: I have had numerous interaction with suppport requests. Their service is outstanding. They always follow thru...
Cons: ThunderTix is a very fine product. There is noting I am not happy with; don't know what else I can say...

Overall we have enjoyed using ThunderTix. It is easy to use, offering a lot of options and is relatively intuitive.

Pros: ThunderTix is great to work with for our 415 seat community theater! Their online knowledge base is very helpful and their customer service responds very quickly with helpful answers and solutions.
Cons: There is a learning curve in creating coupon codes. The $1.25 fee per ticket, plus monthly rate does cut into profits, but comparable to other ticketing services.

Very, very positive! I'd recommend this to any <$100K budget theater or opera company that is trying to expand its ability to offer things like season tickets and etc to patrons.
Pros: Easy to use, great support staff. It's a very versatile piece of software that lets us do the bulk of our tasks on a small budget. I'm hoping this is a ticketing software that will let us scale well into the future, as our events become bigger and bigger!
Cons: The front-end is maybe not the prettiest piece of a website, and it's a little bit difficult to integrate into our brand. But, super easy to set up! Also, would love to be able more clarity to ticket buyers on managing their own accounts with us.

I recommend this online ticketing solution for performance centres. Not only were they helpful with understaning their product, they also steered me in acquiring a payment processing solution.
Pros: The product has everything we need. The support is excellent. I particularly liked the offer of 1 hour tutorial sessions, and tge fact that these sessions were recorded for our future use.
Cons: Really, I am not coming up with any shortcomings. Everthing that was promised by Thundertix was met kr exceeded

Overall, I think ThunderTix is a reasonable and accessible product for smaller theatres and organizations. We have gotten creative with our use (selling tickets for bus trips as merch through ThunderTix, etc.) and that has streamlined quite a few of our antiquated systems. There are some features that make me think this might not be a great product for huge companies, but for our purposes, it really is quite perfect.
Pros: It really is a very intuitive program. I don't find myself wasting too much time trying to figure out features or struggling with customer service. The learning curve as a new system was very reasonable.
Cons: The packages and season tickets can be a bit confusing, but it's a slight adjustment - more of a learning curve for our patrons. I don't love some of the fee structures outside of ticket purchases (percentages of donations, etc.) but the structure for tickets is good enough to be worth it.

Good so far , Haley was terrific. Very computer knowledgeable and persistent.
Pros: Seems easy to use and is extremely versatile.?
Cons: Waiting to see how first ticketed event goes.

We're very pleased with Thundertix features, especially the Package Manager -- very helpful for selling our season subscriptions.
Pros: It has all of the features we need (and more) for ticketing our community theatre programs. And quite affordable.
Cons: Some of the elements, when they need to be edited, are not intuitive. But once you know, you know.

I have been using TT for about 4 years now with two different theatre companies. I've never had ANY issues... and when there are issues, more often than not, there's a fix or a feature update that addresses the issue in the not too distant future.
Pros: SUPER responsive to technical questions and tech support. The system just works. We used to have so many issues when launching a show. Now... we can launch a show and sell it out in an hour and have NO issues with overbooking or ticketing conflicts. Smooth as silk. And with the pricing structure as a finite amount per ticket sold, it's easily scaleable.
Cons: Uhm... it's not free. And now I have to add more characters to come in at the minimum.

Extremely positive, great program and great customer service!
Pros: The program was just what I was looking for and my rep [sensitive content hidden] was a dream to work with. Very impressive
Cons: Nothing comes to mind. Everything I've experienced so far has been great.
Shane G. · Owner · Restaurants · March 7, 2025
We've been with them for 3 years now. Certainly much better than Brown Paper Tickets, which we used before. There are a lot of features that are very beneficial to our ticketing process.
Pros: I think the best thing is the immediate response from the support team with questions we have.
Cons: There are some features that are rather hard to find and figure out.
John S. · Artistic Director · Performing Arts · February 14, 2025
Excellent experience--able to get personal attention to questions but the product is designed with user experience in mind so we have been able to implement and use it without much need for such help.
Pros: As a small theater, we find ThunderTix to be very easy and intuitive to use. It also has all of the features we need and want, including the new Membership capability.
Cons: I have not yet figured out how to use ThunderTix while on my phone/smart device- not sure if that is possible.
Harriet P. · Co-Owner · Entertainment · January 22, 2025
At first I was intimidated. As time went on, it got very easy. I haven't called customer service in a long time, but the few times I did they were very responsive and easy to talk to.
Pros: I run a large, multi-day music festival. ThunderTix is great with every aspect of ticketing. I track orders easily, upgrade or exchange tickets easily, and can really help people because ThunderTix is easy to understand on my end. I am really appreciative of this system. I get offers to switch all the time, but I never will.
Cons: There are no cons. At first I thought I would never be able to figure it all out, but over a short amount of time I'm fairly confident.

I started at our organization as the Marketing Director; we had no website and were selling paper tickets. I had a great experience with Thundertix at a theater in Endicott, New York 16-18 years ago, so when I saw the need here, Thundertix was the best fit. I would highly recommend Thundertix for any size organization; so flexible and easy to use, and tech support is great. Thundertix is the best!
Pros: Thundertix seems to anticipate what producers need before we know we need it. Shortcuts and streamlined operations make it so easy to sell, manage and report ticket transactions. Questions are answered quickly by Support, and requests for options are always taken into consideration - often already available.
Cons: I can't think of anything at all. Thundertix is pretty great.
Alecia O. · Executive Director · Entertainment · January 8, 2025
We've been with them for over 10 years now and the user experience and customer service continue to be exemplary, with requested features added regularly. We recommend ThunderTix to everyone!
Pros: It's easy to set up and modify events, and they have GREAT customer service! They respond quickly to questions and are always improving the system.
Cons: It's not possible to rename coupon codes - we have to create new ones, which makes keeping track of them all unwieldy.
Carol R. · Executive Artistic Director · Entertainment · January 7, 2025
Our organization has been selling tickets for nearly 18 years and during the first 17 we used software that was extremely affordable but didn't do everything we needed. When we moved to ThunderTix we undertook a greater expense it's true, but we also saw an accompanying increase in sales that we know has been largely fueled by our use of ThunderTix. To me it has been an expense that was worth the investment.
Pros: There are several positives. But for the me the best is the ease of use for the patron. It is simple and intuitive. We moved to ThunderTix at the start of our 2024 Season and saw a huge uptick in ticket sales. There were many factors in this improvement, but it has to be said that one contributor was certainly our move to ThunderTix which made our reservation process so much simpler for our patrons.
Cons: I wish I had the ability to obtain reports of an entire run of a production in a Performance Summary that compared each performance from one production in one document. That said, another great thing about ThunderTix is the ability to submit feature requests and they have always proven to be willing to accept requests to take a look at features that you request.
JaceSon B. · Artistic Director · Entertainment · January 2, 2025
ThunderTix has been very easy to use and I really enjoy the reports you can pull out of there too. It keeps a lot of data for you and you can look at your customer base and see how many people have been coming to your shows, etc. We have been using it for about two years now and I really enjoy the way the database works. It helps make my life a lot easier.
Pros: ThunderTix has A LOT of flexibility about what you do or do not want to post on their site. It's very customizable depending on what your needs are. You can send pre-concert or post-concert emails as well as surveys.
Cons: Took me a little bit to learn how to use the menus.
Monica B. · President · Music · October 21, 2024
Overall, working with ThunderTix was super easy, and I'm definitely planning on using it for future events. My Off-Broadway play, Witchland, ran for a few weeks, and I was able to manage the entire ticketing sales and process, and allocation, seamlessly.
Pros: ThunderTix made the daunting task of managing tickets for my stage production super easy. They helped me set up the site, and once up and running it was very easy to manage and navigate.
Cons: No real cons with the system - there is a small learning curve initially, then it's smooth sailing.
Tim M. · Playwright and Producer · Entertainment · October 4, 2024
Adding ThunderTix to our theater program has been a game changer. In our first event series, we hit our maximum tickets sales ever. We also received amazing feedback from our guests about how easy it was to reserve tickets, not having to arrive super early to save seats, and that check-in at the front lobby was very smooth. I like the versatility of being able to scan tickets with your phone/devices or just have a laptop stationed in the lobby asking for the guests name. Either way is very straight-forward and allows you to check-in guests and get them to their seats much faster (or the concession stand!!)
Pros: My two favorite things about ThunderTix is the ease of setting up an event and venue map. And the reporting features! Its very customizable and I can see just the data that I need during an event and even more during our post-event reporting.
Cons: There is one screen that auto-scrolls up every time the page loads which is a little frustrating to an admin...but the customer doesn't see this page so its a minor issue.
Holly N. · Admin · Performing Arts · September 23, 2024
Wonderful customer service and easy to use.
Pros: Ease of use and customer service are the main reasons I love Thundertix.
Cons: Some options are not yet available on the system.
Susan S. · Box office manager · Performing Arts · August 7, 2024
Being new to ticketing myself ThunderTix is the first platform I have tried. Our theatre association previously used another platform and all I heard were horror stories and how they couldn't wait to move on to something else. A trusted associate in IT found ThunderTix for me and we made the switch. Working within the program has been crazy easy; I love it. We have several volunteers in our box office and they are all amazed at how easy it is to use.
Pros: Ease of Creating Events Ease of Managing Events Creation of Custom Ticketing and Email Confirmations Ease of Ticket Purchasing Quick Links to to Reports
Cons: Entering Patrons One at a Time (with hundreds of patrons it will be time consuming and therefore the project has not been started)
Lisa M. · Member at Large - Managing Producer · Entertainment · August 2, 2024
Excellent. Easy to use platform, affordable and great customer service.
Pros: Customer service from support team is always quick and friendly.
Cons: Season package reporting needs improvement.
Terry W. · Director of Parks and Recreation · Government Administration · July 31, 2024
ThunderTix has made every event controllable, and there analytical assistance, for online appointments.
Pros: ThunderTix has stipulated all the events, where proper arrangements are made immediately.
Cons: ThunderTix is timely, and consistent in offering all valuable events controls.
Christina R. · ICT Manager · Medical Devices · April 16, 2024
Overall I have been very satisfied and they have clearky listened to the end users needs and imlemented a wide variety og options.
Pros: It was easy to work within it as an administrator, and any questions I had were readily addressed. I like how it translated in real time to my website.
Cons: Would like the option to respond to the email I recieve after registering an inquiry.
Don C. · Co-Owner · Entertainment · April 13, 2024
Pros: It makes event management and booking super easy It helps when creating and managing ticketing.
Cons: No issues with ThunderTix. Always delivers
