My experience with Remo was frustrating and ultimately damaging. I paid for access to run a single academic event — expecting, based on onboarding advice, that I could manage everything from ticketing to hosting within the platform. When that proved false, I had to scramble to find workarounds, which created confusion for participants and eventually led to the event being cancelled. Despite this, and despite raising concerns in good time, I received no support or refund. I am now out of pocket, with no event to show for it, and significant time lost. I cannot recommend Remo for academic or professional event organisers who need reliable, transparent functionality and responsive customer service.
Pros: The visual layout of the platform is engaging, and the idea of creating interactive, table-based online spaces for meetings or events is appealing. The interface itself appeared stable and functional during test runs, which initially gave me confidence in the platform’s potential for hosting an academic symposium.
Cons: The biggest issue was being misled during onboarding. I was clearly told that I could manage all aspects of ticketing, including payment and participant registration, within the Remo platform. This turned out not to be true. As a result, I had to urgently set up an external registration process, re-communicate all information to participants, and try to salvage the event. The confusion caused by this last-minute shift contributed directly to a collapse in attendance. Worse still, when I cancelled the event — before anything had been delivered — I was informed that my payment was not for event delivery but for a subscription. This wasn’t how the service was presented at any stage. There was no flexibility, no acknowledgment of the onboarding issue, and no refund or goodwill gesture. The lack of accountability and the rigidity of the response were both disappointing and unprofessional.

Brings harmony in task management and interdepartmental services.
Pros: There is more engagement and team work using this tool. It is easy to connect and participants can enter or exit without causing any distractions. Integration is the key thing. It worked for us.
Cons: Remo is expensive making it unrealistic to be applied in smaller organizations. The subscriptions should be varied depending on the number of participants. It is a promising tool.

Pros: Helpful customer service. Whenever I had a question I received a detailed reply within a day or less
Cons: Slightly more expensive than other softwares

Pros: I love that I am able to have multiple conversations with different groups of people due to the different break rooms. It is great for networking events because you are able to go to different break-out rooms and network with other people.
Cons: I don't like that the break rooms are only for 6 people I wish it was more like 10. It is also not well known so not that many people know how to use it. It can also be confusing and difficult to set up for the first time.

On paper, it looked like Remo was going to be the perfect platform for our event. In reality, we had a horrible experience.
Pros: The ability to have the networking tables.
Cons: So many cons! First of all, the platform is clunky and not at all intuitive to navigate. All of our speakers had trouble getting set up and sharing their PowerPoints, which left attendees waiting an extra ten minutes for each session while they watched people fumble around to figure out how to make the platform work. Then the platform was slow to respond when speakers advanced their slides. Worst of all, though, is that the platform booted everyone out the very instant the five hours was up. There was no ability to have the platform be open for the few moments that the last speaker needed to wrap up and for us as the organizers to thank everyone for coming.

The Remo team I worked with was pleasant, but unfortunately their requirements of providing information and attendees so far in advance, along with the steep pricing made this platform a no go for me.
Pros: I liked that the virtual venue is customizable to your specific event needs and branding.
Cons: I did not like the price. I also did not like the fact we needed to provide participant names to the Remo team over a week in advance of the event. Should technology not allow more flexibility?

It has been a comfortable experience, I have been able to share files safely and without any problem. The software tools are easy to use and it is very cool.
Pros: It is a friendly software, easy to handle, you can transfer files safely and it works on various devices.
Cons: So far I have had no problems with the software

I like it very much and would choose it over Hopin most of the time since Hopin was too complicated for small events and features I needed at that time.
Pros: It is very easy to use, there is no need to download and set up any special things. It wasn't very much trouble for guests attend, also the visual set up was very pleasant. I appreciated nice YouTube videos for setup and common mistakes and troubles.
Cons: Missing polls, could have better Q&A options.

Pros: The Remo platform is very interactive and engaging. The different small tables allow you to network closely with peers. I also love that every event includes tech support who are able to answer questions right away. Remo is the best virtual platform for any digital event.
Cons: My only recommendation for Remo would be that they allow networking to continue during presentation mode. This would encourage guests to discuss key aspects of the presentation and to enjoy watching among colleagues.

My overall experience with Remo has been positive because it allows me to host an event slightly differently on a different platform
Pros: What I liked the most about Remo was that my event attendees could interact with each other and speakers all in the one place in a fun way
Cons: The platform could be improved in a way where it was more focused on the user experience and user interface.

Great networking functionality but truly awful customer support.
Pros: The platform lets users join private video chats in small groups by clicking on virtual 'tables' in an office floorplan which is really great functionality. Nothing else particularly notable though.
Cons: The customer service was terrible. The platform experienced issues during an event, and despite their customer support saying they would be online and available for support (I had previously experienced issues with the platform) they were non-response. I cancelled my account the next day.

It has been pretty good overall, in that for our needs (switching or moving away from hosting large scale, in-person events for obvious reasons) the form of the platform itself has worked well generally, i.e. a serviceable virtual event platform.
Pros: Probably the way that the event platform itself can be modified or "tailored" to meet the needs of the hosts, especially regarding specific and different looks of events (per event). That is what the best takeaway for me is.
Cons: The functionality or UX of the software seems rigid or limited in scope, and that more attention perhaps goes into the interface than anything else, seemingly.

Remo is a user friendly platform, that could work for a variety of businesses. I am really happy with their customer service and in general their passion to keep improving the platform.
Pros: This platform is exactly what we were looking for as a solution to live networking at our digital events. It was super easy to set up and get going, and the free trial was really handy.
Cons: The only negative feedback we'd had from participants using the platform was that it wasn't easy to view other participant details e.g. Name, Job Title & Company. We aren't sure whether we want to make the move from Zoom to Remo for the presentation content as it doesn't seem quite as seamless. But we will give it a go!

Revolutionary experience, and set a good standard. Keep going, as many other tools are catching up.
Pros: The level of customisation, and the responsiveness of the presale, technical support, especially, when it comes to customer floor plan iterating. I hope to call out a name "[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]", [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is a hero! It is also good experience working with someone who is based in Asia, so after my revision at night in Europe, the update got reflected in Remo, because of the efficient work. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] even helped me solve some problems, when I shared the editable .ai file, apart from the .svg file.
Cons: I hope it can be used more widely, and more people know how to use it, and enjoy using it.

If found the Remo to be very responsive with questions, and offered lots of training options. they set up to succeed with your virtual events.
Pros: The ability to move into groups when hosting a virtual conference
Cons: I did not like trying to use my mouse to navigate around rooms as I found it very fast and I am not an experienced gamer.

Excellent
Pros: Authentic connections created at tables. The most similar experience to real networking.
Cons: Presentation slides appear too small. Some bugs and technical challenges from a small percentage of users. Not mobile friendly.

Our overall experience was positive and would definitely use it again, if the need for virtual events is necessary. We actually had several of our participants reach out to learn more about REMO from us as they enjoyed the experience.
Pros: I felt as though the software was user friendly and we received the support from REMO during the set-up process. We purchased the Producer for one month (to only be used for one week) and were completely satisfied with our experience
Cons: There truly was not anything that I disliked about the software

It’s been a great experience and I have loved having a different platform than my colleagues. It’s been a great experience and I have loved having a different platform than my colleagues.
Pros: It made getting together and networking feel more like in person.
Cons: It has had some glitches and sometimes it’s hard to jump table to table

Overall, I have not seen a more unique and cool tool for hosting a virtual conference.
Pros: The product is sufficient and reliable for virtual conferences. There are many tools available for users during the conference. I really enjoyed the conference table layout and the ability to speak to my smaller group during sessions.
Cons: While there are many cool features, the initial entrance into the virtual conference was busy- lots of options for clicking!

Awfull
Pros: Nice room setting with ability to roam from one table to the next
Cons: Absolutely a nightmare to use on a Mac. As a presenter I could not select the screen I wanted to share, nor could I select the proper camera and audio settings. I tried to use Brave, Chrone, FireFox and finally could get some minimal features with Safari...
Philippe F. · CEO · Industrial Automation · September 24, 2020
Pros: I loved the ease of use and the great features. It is easy to jump right in and create your first event. The video tutorials are very helpful as well.
Cons: I wish they had a few more design options to customize your floorplan.

It was great! A few hiccups to learn the setup, but very intuitive and effective.
Pros: Attended the Virtual Denver Startup Week Job Fair using Remo, and it was awesome. I was able to hover over people's profiles to see if they would be a good person to connect with, and it was easy to click on their Contact links (as long as the people provided them) to connect and keep the conversation going. Really smooth and not too stressful.
Cons: Could use a little more control over where you go when you arrive. Our event had a help desk, could be good to plop people there first. It would also be nice to have a "Bird's Eye" Option, where you're not at a table but can scope out the map without the possibility of it looking like you're up for a discussion. If that's available, I missed it.

Pros: The rooms were great....easy to navigate....the quality of video and sound was very good.
Cons: I'm not sure its the software's issue...the room background was busy and was a little bit distracting from the participant video tiles

Cons: Nothing, the software worked fine and for the intended use.
Howard K. · Broker · Real Estate · September 17, 2020
Pros: Ease of use, ability to move around, pricing
Cons: Time limits, being dropped in a room, no recording.
