Pros: Merchants can easily enter inventory and price the inventory including printing a barcodes label. Labels can provide a professional loss.
Cons: Functionality is missing key components. Reliability is poor. Customer awareness and consideration is the worst in the business.

Good functionality, previously good sport, now terrible support. Any software platform that services retail establishment needs to have life support available over the weekend and on holidays are the busiest time of year for businesses.
Pros: It’s a great system, super easy to use and as long as you use their payment processor, the credit card function integrates very easily. All of our vendors can easily login and use their account. It’s really designed well.
Cons: One of the things I used to like the most with their great customer service. At any time, you could send a chat, and they will solve your problem, calling you on the phone if needed. But now they have switched to an AI based system. It never gives the right answer, and you always end up needing a live person. Which is fine, except now they don’t staff with live people nearly as much as they used to. Particularly over the holiday season - our entire system is frozen and has crashed, ot won’t even show the right date, it won’t do anything. And they’re out of the office until Tuesday. It is unfathomable that a software that services retail establishments would not have any live tech support available over the busiest season of the entire year.

My experiences with Ricochet have been simple and positive. Love the program and the customer service is always available to help me with any questions. Never confusing.
Pros: The program is really simplified and easy to use. The customer service is amazing. The ordering of equipment was easy and set up simple. Everyone knows the program and their jobs.
Cons: There is nothing at all not to like about this company. They are fantastic at what they do. All positive.

Backstory - I am tech support for a few retailers around town. Of all the systems I deal with Ricochet is the easiest on all levels. The system is super easy to use, very intuitive, help section is very detailed and easy to understand and customer service is there at a moments notice with the click of a chat button. I can't say enough good things!
Pros: Customer Service - Software that just works - Intuitive POS that just works!
Cons: I can't think of anything I don't like about Ricochet!

I would say their customer service are pleasant but rarely able to address our questions and concerns, they seemed pretty much clueless. We were only in business two years, thanks mainly to the economic disaster in the US, and have nothing to compare too, so no idea how Ricochet fares against other software. In hindsight we would have been better off using Square or PayPal and using a "normal" cash register and tags (apparently this is what most do in this field) Maybe it just wasn't for us, but our overall experience would be summed up as "frustrating"
Pros: I'm trying to find something positive, with difficulty :- We found it relatively easy to add inventory. Having a bar code system is very nice, and simplifies the check out process. Pulling sales data for monthly sales tax filing is easy.
Cons: Nothing is intuitive, the website interface is messy and difficult to read even on a 18" screen. Didn't integrate with our payment processor, required a workaround (entering card purchase as check and check as cash) Being an antique store with consigners, some who were elderly who had great difficulty entering their inventory. One started deselecting sales tax - why? No idea. There is no way to shut their ability off. That was a headache. There is no way to pull ALL data using DETAILED sales report, this has made yearly tax filing unnecessarily complicated and time consuming

They lie about being a consignment shop program
Pros: It was supposed to be the answer to our problems but it is the problem. You can't collect booth rent from the beginning. Just credit your consignors...

If I had my way I would look for an alternative.
Pros: the inventory management, having the app on the phone and on the computer
Cons: 1. I am a consigner. There are two stores - every time I use the app, I have to select the 'other' store. You should be able to default to a store. This is very anoying as the session times out and switching tabs from Inventory to Payout does not refresh in real time when this happens. 2. The iPhone app needs to allow a constant login and not keep timing out. it refuses to save the username and password and I waste a lot of time typing it in again. 3. The Category/Brand needs to allow for Consignor admin - adding new categories/Brands as needed.4. Should allow for some other fields such as 'Color', 'Size' etc5. Label support is pretty bad, being forced to use expensive DYMO labels. Also the small labels truncate at very few letters without warning. On my MacBook, the large labels took a lot of effort to print properly.

Ricochet is a perfect software for all the organizations who manage day to day business inventory. It's a Complete Package with powerful feature to make your work easy and effective.
Pros: It's a perfect software for Inventory Management and very easy to use. It offers many effective features like Inventory Management, Accounting, Retail CRM that helps you to manage your data impactfully.

Cons: The only complaints that I have is that it was a little hard to figure out how to get help. As a consignor I don't have direct access to them. I found their "help" blogs I read an article about label printing but it didn't fix my problem so I gave them a "frown face". They started a chat with me almost instantly. The the complaint is the jewelry tags that they use. Barbell jewelry tags are awkward to use. I use rat tail jewelry tags with other software. You can actually print a barcode and description with those. I am assuming that would be better for the store also as they would'nt have to hand enter the SKU.

My overall experience has been phenomenal from customer service to the user friendly software for a newbie like me!! Literally customer service walked me through how to do a closeout 5 months in a row...until I realized how truly simple it was to do. I was the one trying to make it complicated!
Pros: I love have it tracks every sale I have ever recorded from the item purchased to who purchased. For how much was made for store andfor the consigned all the way down to the tax collected!! Also the report feature...at the touch if a button you know weekly sales..monthly sales, how much netted, how much for each vendor...just amazing!
Cons: That I am not able to quickly see what a consignor made for one year. It only has total of all sales and I have vendors who have been with me since I bought the store in 2017. This is very minor since I can easily add up sales.

I do like being told what the software company is working on and what we as users can look forward to. This was a huge reason I convinced my wife to go for it with this company.
Pros: The face we can enter inventory from home or anywhere we are is amazing. This may open up many possibilities for our small business.
Cons: I hate change. This software is a little more advanced than my computer skill when you are talking about set up and I was hoping there were going to be more customization allowed for users.

Cons: Unless this isn't a software issue (and instead is a lack of knowledge on the user's part) I don't care for how small the print is on the stickers we print to put on our inventory.

EXCELLENT!! I highly recommend them not only is the software easy to use, easy on the eye and has lots of potential for the business to grow the customer service is by far the best I've ever had!!
Pros: I had been looking for 2years for a software that would make the POS side of the business easier, but also have room for growth and that is exactly what i found. The software does so much more than I am even using at this time. The Customer Support is ABOVE great!! I'm not a techy person and they do a great job helping me solve issues and it's often but it's always been on our end. They are patient and actually get back with you asap. That part is priceless!!! I look forward to growing our business with Ricochet!!
Cons: it's made for bar code scanning and there's a few issues that causes in the converting process because we were doing all manual entry but it's part of the growing pains I guess.

We have saved lots of time and effort using Ricochet. It’s been an amazing experience.
Pros: This has saved us so much time in the way we used to conduct our daily methods of operation it’s astounding. Best choice the company has made since its inception.
Cons: We sometimes experience Wi-Fi issues. Although overall it’s not an issue getting it up and running smoothly.

Up until the format was updated we had a great handle on how to use the system to fit our needs. It has proven to be a great help in that multiple users can have access to the same information. There is however an extreme lack of communication. We were not informed that the entire format was being changed and logged in one day to a new set-up with no option to revert back. Features are also disabled or removed without letting the clients know causing navigation issues.
Pros: This software is extremely helpful in tracking our consignors, their sales, percentages, and important data such as addresses and phone numbers. The newer format also allows us to add images if inventory items which will be very helpful when we have more staff available to log the inventory. It is also very helpful to be able for all users to see what inventory items are in stock vs paid out to the client as well as notes left by other users.
Cons: I don't like that the software assigns its own descriptors to each client rather than offering the user an option of using its descriptors or your own. I understand these markers are important for the automation algorithm but not helpful for many. Also, since we do not use bar-code scanning and enter all sales manually, the newer layout DOES NOT ALLOW us to find the inventory by our own parameters in the POS tab (ie. client name or consignor number). This has proven to be a time consuming annoyance.

We really like the software and have been impressed with the company and the support.
Pros: Easy to use, pretty self-explanatory. Customer service is always helpful and spot on. In the time we've used it, they've improved and updated the software pretty regularly. Looking forward to more integration with Quicken, as they've said would be coming. I would like full inventory integration. Overall, really good value for the money.
Cons: A little glitchy on the rare occasion - sometimes it does not work as expected. But it is pretty rare. I know that it was originally designed for large item consignment (furniture) and they've improved the functionality for smaller item consignment, but there are still a few things that could be improved in that area.

We have had a wonderful experience with Ricochet. The staff and management are wonderful to work with, extremely helpful and readily available! We love Ricochet.
Pros: I love the accessibility of the software, all of the breakdowns of our daily sales and the ease of use. Everything is so well tracked it makes taking a quick look at how my days, months and years are going smooth and effective.
Cons: I really dont have any qualms about the soft wear at this point.

I was allowed multiple trials befor I made a decision to launch my business in Ricochet and that is worth a million headaches gone.
Pros: I love that the developer is a consignment shop owner himself. This way he understands my goals, struggles and wants to genuinely help me set up a system to succeed.
Cons: I don’t need like the waiting period for the IOS APP as this forces me to use a desktop rather than. My IPad... yet I am willing to wait .

I love being able to serve my consignors and customers using one software.
Pros: What I like most about this software is the user-friendly interface. As a new business, we needed a software that wasn't going to take months of trial to figure out and that could integrate a lot of the steps to save time. I love that it has been able to accommodate our business needs as we grow and we are excited for new features to release. We also love the team behind the software who is always available to answer any questions or concerns.
Cons: What I like the least about this software is the limitation on the selection of an integrated payment processor. There is basically no other option. I would love if it could integrate with square so I can take payments on my phone and on the go. Another thing I dislike is the limited information on reports. It would be great to have more bookkeeping/accounting details integrated into them. I also dislike that it doesn't have some basic features I find would be helpful as a business owner.
