UKG Pro helps midsize and enterprise teams manage payroll, HR, and time tracking with configurable workflows and reporting tools. It’s most used by HR and finance roles across structured organizations. Reviewers highlight direct deposit and attendance tracking as standout features. It offers deeper scheduling logic and compensation planning. However, users often cite complexity in setup and navigation.

Pros: UKG Pro integrates well with our recruiting software, Jobvite, which helps make onboarding efficient. The ease of use between entry and mid-level managers from restaurants to our corporate office is also really intuitive.
Cons: UKG Pro does not seem to have a support team that is scalable to meet the needs of administers like myself who often ran into issues with features of UKG Pro, such as UKG Pro Learning, which is their digital LMS platform. While I appreciate that they have a support specialist team to communicate updates or give you a timeframe on how long it will take to research an item, it takes awhile. UKG Pro also seems to have an outdated user face. Their HRIS platforms

Pros: Centralized HR, payroll, and workforce data in one platform Strong payroll accuracy and compliance capabilities Robust reporting and analytics for workforce insights Timekeeping and scheduling tools support labor planning Scalable for large, multi-site operations
Cons: User interface feels dated and not very intuitive Reporting can be complex and time-consuming to build System performance can lag, especially during peak payroll periods Limited flexibility for custom workflows without heavy configuration Customer support responsiveness can be inconsistent

UKG: Workforce Understanding - The UKG Operating Platform
Put workforce understanding to work with HR, pay, and workforce management tools.

Overall, it's a super easy to navigate app and easy to use. Everything is there in the dropdowns to pick where you need go and view.
Pros: UKG is a pretty easy to navigate utility, especially when it comes to tracking pay and benefits. Having everything in one app is super convenient.
Cons: I don't think there's much to not like about this unless it's not setup correctly, but that should be addressed on implementation.

It is one of the better systems on the market, highly customizable, easy to use, and UKG offers a good support system. We have been with the platform for two years, and have been happy with it. Just wish I had more time in the day to truly customize the platform more.
Pros: The platform is overall easy to use for both end users for both the app and web versions. I prefer UKG Pro over UKG Ready for general layout, navigation, and overall structure. UKG Pro also offers more customization when compared to top vendors (ADP, all of the Pays, etc.). The support team is also responsive in a timely manner.
Cons: The mobile app needs to be updated to include more features, for example, document acknowledgment. There are many end users who primarily use their mobile phones and will not use a computer; it is critical for the mobile app to provide all of the same options as the online version. Having to direct hundreds of employees to the web browsers when they use the mobile app is time-consuming and extremely confusing for end users.

Very good. The implementation process ran very smooth and very productive. We are very happy with our service, the only down size is the customer service team assigned to us, keeps changing often, and is a little difficult to escalate certain cases.
Pros: The accessibility is way better than other platform, more user friendly for hte employees. It works really well with our recruitment sites.
Cons: BI reporting is not very user friendly, and the customer service team is good, but in some cases the reponse takes too long

Overall experience has been good. I have used UKG since 2019 and it has done more than the previous systems I have used.
Pros: I like the web import tool and platform configuration functionality. It allows us to setup mapping or hide fields that certain users do not need to see or edit.
Cons: I wouldn’t say I like it the least but I have the least experience using the mobile app as an administrator.

I have had very minimal issues and have enjoyed this program for all my time keeping and tax information records.
Pros: It does an excellent job at keeping a database of time cards and as well as keeps track of all the taxes and W2's for each employee.
Cons: Sometimes the app on a mobile device is not user friendly. It sometimes zoom's in really large and it makes using the app difficult at times.

Pros: What I like most about UKG Pro now is how it integrates learning with essential administrative functions like payroll and HR processes. Having everything connected in one system makes it much easier to manage tasks efficiently without switching between multiple platforms. It helps streamline workflows, reduces manual work, and improves overall accuracy. The ability to access learning resources alongside everyday administrative tools also supports employee development while keeping operations organized. Overall, this integration creates a more seamless and user-friendly experience, saving time and making it easier to stay on top of both professional growth and day-to-day responsibilities within the organization.
Cons: What I like least about UKG Pro right now is mainly the user interface, which could benefit from a more modern and intuitive design. While the system is functional and comprehensive, navigating certain features can feel a bit outdated or less streamlined than expected. A refreshed interface with improved layout, clearer navigation, and a more user-friendly experience would make it even more efficient to use. Enhancing the visual design and simplifying some processes could help reduce the learning curve for new users and improve overall satisfaction, even though the platform itself performs its core functions well.

Overall, it is a quality tool that is fairly expansive. It can handle onboarding processes, HRIS, benefits management, payroll management, self service timecard management, and time off requests.
Pros: UKG Pro has been a reliable tool for managing employee information. From candidate processing to payroll to benefits management, it does it all. It has a good value for the money and a high level of support behind it.
Cons: The website is nice, but the app has issues. Both have some features that aren't the most intuitive. Sometimes it takes a couple minutes to navigate to the right area for timecard punches resulting in missed minutes.

They showed a real commitment to listening to us and helping us solve our problems. We are in perfect alignment with our new customer success team and look forward to years of partnership in supporting our workforce.
Pros: This solution has robust capabilities for our 2000 employee company. We have multiple union paygroups with different accruals and benefits packages and UKG Pro is able to handle them all. We have used it for 3 years and renewed.
Cons: We implemented during the time of the Kronos and Ultimate solution merger, so at times there were growing pains, both with the solution and with support.
Brian B. · IT Project Manager · Construction · April 14, 2026
Overall this has been a great system to work on. The reporting is complex but once you get the hang of it, there are so many custom reports that you can create, there are many data points that you can extrapolate data from and gain valuable insights on your workforce.
Pros: Easily configurable to meet business needs. Mobile app is very user friendly and intuitive for our employees. For the money there is huge ROI, especially when compared to competitors, there is great value for the money.
Cons: Would like to see a few more items from the desktop homepage be available on the mobile app. There are some documents that I would like more of our employees to have access to on their mobile device.

During my 32 yrs. as a Payroll Professional I have worked with several Payroll processing systems, and UKG has made the switch over to cloud base feel almost seamless.
Pros: The ease of processing a payroll and the security in knowing that tax filings will be done correct and in a timely manor. Customer Service is top tier. You can expect communication via email or by phone almost instant.
Cons: The reporting could be more user friendly. There are many standard reports available for your use, however trying to build a custom report on your own is very complicated if not impossible.

My overall experience with UKG Pro has been very positive. Its strong functionality, steady stream of innovation, and meaningful enhancements consistently improve our ability to support the business and deliver a better experience for employees.
Pros: UKG is not so complex that it requires third‑party vendors to help administer. When organizations are open to adjusting their processes, UKG Pro can streamline and enhance them, making it easier for HR to support the business effectively.
Cons: What I like least about UKG Pro is the way its modules connect. The integrations and APIs don’t always flow smoothly or quickly, which creates gaps in the end‑to‑end experience. Additionally, the look and feel varies from one module to another, and UKG needs to establish more consistency and uniformity across the entire platform.

UKG works just fine. Compared to other HRSI systems that I have worked with, there are no pros that stand out.
Pros: The menus are easy to navigate. It is helpful to have a separate page for managers to post their resources.
Cons: the benefits admin piece is clunky. It is difficult to track correct benefit effective date when an employee changes coverage tiers. The reporting is overly complex to attempt to build a new report and pull in the correct fields. The Content Management gadgets is unnecessarily complex.
Denise K. · Benefits Manager · Construction · April 7, 2026
Been with UKG for 4 years and overall happy with the product. Customer service could use some work.
Pros: The system is user-friendly for both the employees and administrators. A lot of extras that we don't use yet, but look forward to starting them this year.
Cons: The reporting is not always the easiest to get what you want and if you want any help, they call it a customized report and want to charge you.
Kimberly N. · Human Resources Manager · Retail · April 7, 2026
Overall, this is helpful but can be improved. I just felt that more restrictions can be improved such as making updates on certain areas or can be customizable based on needs.
Pros: User friendly and navigation. The menus shows wide variety of options that you can choose from depending on your needs.
Cons: When we need to make updates or changes, there are fields that are limited. It is better if more fields are customizable.

Considering the high price of this product, we expected much better support. Speaking to a call center in India with employees that do not know solutions to specific issues is not a good solution.
Pros: Payroll Processing was seamless and uncomplicated. The onboarding process is also straight forward and seamless.
Cons: Communicating with ukg was a nightmare. The call center can't help you, it takes forever to find help or you won't ever receive any kind of support. Our business was left alone with too many issues. I'm sure the software itself isn't bad, but no one was willing to assist us in making it work for our business. The software was difficult to use and not user friendly. Users couldn't locate benefit enrollment and had issues adjusting tax setup and other info. The missing support for tax setup and filing was a nightmare. The reporting feature was extremely difficult to navigate and reports had missing or incorrect info at times.

Overall, I’d say UKG Pro is a solid choice for any HR department looking to ease their workload. While no platform is perfect, my experience has been positive, and I appreciate how it helps us operate more efficiently. From payroll to time tracking, everything feels streamlined and easy to navigate. The interface is user-friendly, which is a huge plus—especially when you have team members who aren't as tech-savvy.
Pros: One of the best things about it is how easy it is to access all my info in one place. The platform does a great job of centralizing HR data, so everything I need is just a few clicks away. The mobile app is fantastic! I can quickly check my timecards, view my pay stubs, and keep track of my PTO right from my phone. This not only saves time but also makes me feel more engaged with my work and aware of what's happening with my benefits.
Cons: The mobile app tends to go down about once a month. It’s a bummer because when I rely on it for tasks and updates, suddenly losing access makes things a bit chaotic.

Overall, experience has been good using UKG Pro. As a manager of a team, it has allowed me to easily manage times, reviews and overall tasks within a single software.
Pros: It's user friendly and easy to use in all aspects. Aside from payroll and time management, we've been able to utilize it for goal tracking, performance reviews and salary planning.
Cons: While it's good that it is customizable, it can be painful to navigate through these customizations and make the software exactly what you imagine.

From an HR standpoint I really like it. From an employee standpoint they would probably say they dont like it
Pros: We used this for payroll, employee profiles, benefits, etc and its a pretty decent system. I quite like it.
Cons: The mobile app was a bit hard to rule out to employees. Always getting locked out and they were in the office constantly to get their password reset.
Lexi K. · HR ADMIN · Airlines/Aviation · March 30, 2026
Overall experience was positive as the system interacted well with 3rd party companies and was easy for our team members. The app does not have all the interactive features we would like.
Pros: UKG Pro is easy to use for administrators and offers a versatile and reliable payroll system, supporting efficient day-to-day operations.
Cons: As a large platform, communication with representatives was not always as agile as expected; however, the team was responsive in addressing our needs and worked with us to tailor the system to our company’s requirements.

My overall experience was good could check my pay from week to week log in worked once I got it set up
Pros: Customer support was so great helping me log in and you could check your pay and make sure it was right very easy to use
Cons: I really didn’t have any dislikes about this app it worked perfect for me if I had any problems customer support would help
Levin W. · Cashier · Food & Beverages · February 28, 2026
My overall experience with UKG Pro has been moderate. It helps organize tasks, and the self-service option for employees are useful. However, the system can feel complex and overwhelming at times. Overall, it gets the job done.
Pros: What I liked most about UKG Pro is that the system is user-friendly, with clear interface that makes navigating HR tasks simple.
Cons: What I like least about UKG Pro is that some features feels buried deep in menus, making navigation a bit confusing at first.
Vicente C. · Quality Technician · Automotive · February 28, 2026
Overall, the app is easy to use and does what it needs to do without much confusion or bulk. It’s straightforward and an effective scheduling solution for an organization of any size.
Pros: UKG is easy to use, and the app integrates well with the desktop version. It is simple to use as an employee, and has powerful tools for management. It is an all in one solution for pay, time card, and scheduling.
Cons: The breakdown of the hours on the time card can be confusing, but that is more a function of my organization’s convoluted differential rates.
Sergio P. · CNA · Hospital & Health Care · February 25, 2026
It was great! We did our employee reviews through it, we did shout outs through it, and we did all of our HR stuff through it.
Pros: I loved how you could recognize employees through the platform as well as it doubling as an HR platform. I had this software previously and really enjoyed how interactive it was.
Cons: There's so much it can do and it can feel overwhelming. Also I got it confused with an insurance agency a lot so I always messed up my benefits.
