ITS APPALLING A WAST OF MONEY AND EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS. I TRY TO CONVICE ALL THE COMPANIES I WORK FOR TO NOT USE THESE. WE HAVE 2 OTHER SSIP ORGANISATIONS AND WE HAVE NONE OF THE ISSUES WE HAVE WITH AVETTA
Pros: Absolutley nothing, no help, refuse to answer questions, takes weeks for a reply and its the standard have we resolved this.
Cons: The whole process is awful, redflagged because we have not answered questions or information they never asked for in the first place. An example how many hours have your employees is worked in the year. We told them, they came back with but the average employee is 40 so your total hours do not add up. SO THEY RED FLAGGED ME FIRST, then asked me to explain why, when clearly the issue is we have part time employees as well. It lacks common sense.

Terrible. Their auto response system is terrible. It doesn't hear responses correctly so it will hang up on you. There always seems to be some glitch in the system and getting to a representative is time intensive and frustrating Unfortunately, I agree with every negative thing said on these reviews. The operator for whom we work even admitted they only use Avetta because it is cheaper.
Pros: Nothing, other than it complies with client requirements. We have to subscribe to Avetta because of the operator; we get no say in the matter.

Painful and frustrating. And now, customer service has gotten worse with their adoption of AI
Pros: Nothing. Clicking logoff. I like how small minded they are and jamb HR, EHS and insurance under one umbrella even though they know in their own company, those are three different areas supported by three different departments and at least 3 different people.
Cons: Not user friendly. Not clear in their terms, definitions. I have to contact Avetta every time I try to update information. This is my second company that uses Avetta and my experience has been Painful!!!

God awful. standard big platform nonsense with a captured market where they don't have to bother offering any value.
Pros: Nothing. It's terrible. Typical captured market where they don't need to offer anything of value but we're forced to use them when they sell their magical powers to big clients.
Cons: Everything. Buttons don't work, so you lose two hours calling support, getting bounced between different call centres, no one can fix your issue and when they find someone who can, your call gets dropped on multiple occasions
Calum H. · General Manager · Construction · February 3, 2025
Very poor business practices! Clients can add you at will and you are charged around $600 for each one!! There is not even a way to avoid it, they just charge the card on file and send you an invoice!!! What other company can get away with that?!?!? The bad part is, we need to be a member in order to do business with some of our own clients! It's a total racket!!!! AVOID THEM IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING HIRING THEM AS A VENDOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM!!!! YOUR VENDORS WILL HATE YOU FOR IT!!! I may consider contacting the state AG and filing a complaint on this predatory company!
Pros: I do not have anything positive to say. Their customer service takes forever to respond and they charge exorbitant fees for everything.
Cons: Very predatory company. They allow potential clients to connect, and then charge $600 each to the credit card on file. We are very selective on who we connect with, and reserve membership for our regular clients. We have no choice but to dispute each one. How is this legal?

Excellent communication skill and clarity
Pros: Great communication answers all questions
Cons: Nothing at all it’s really informative great
Vernon D. · Director · Facilities Services · September 5, 2024
Then customer support, if you can successfully reach them, are helpful for the most part. There has been several occasions - including today, that took more than 20 minutes on hold or for a call back to reach someone. If you own a business, don’t use it. If you’re an employee plead the case for your employer to avoid it. There are far better more functional systems out there.
Pros: Nothing. Not a single function works intuitively.
Cons: There are too many to list, the system barely functions at the best of times. Adding employees is a painstaking process with back and forth responses with people that review document submissions that dispute every document for a simple inability to read the information on the document it seems. None of the functions work in a logical or intuitive workflow. The system essentially crashes if there is a minor unknown function.

Scam company. Seriously consider doing business with any company who uses Avetta as their compliance management. This place is bogus.
Pros: This company is the worst. I was forced to use them to work for another company. They overcomplicated the compliance process and held up a contract because of their terrible customer service. Now the company that did use them, stopped using them in under a year (I wonder why...). So I contacted them last week to shut my account down and they have not complied. In fact they have now charged me for the year of service that I don't want or need
Cons: It is impossible to speak with anyone on the deactivation team. I have called, emailed, sent chat requests multiple times over the past week and they refuse to honor my request. I now have to contact my bank to start a fraud case. There is no way to remove my bank account information, I tried last week, which is fraud!

Pros: The excessive loading screen animation entertains by cat. Nothing good about Avetta.
Cons: The product is inherently broken for worker management. It takes 5 minutes to make a worker profile change and the application breaks when assigning more than a few workers at a time. The support team runs you in circles and tech support is needed for any data changes more than editing 1 or 2 workers.
Jamison S. · Project Manager · Construction · March 22, 2024
Random charges in the thousands that will take hours days or even weeks before you can get the correct person on the phone to issue a refund.
Pros: Absolutely nothing. They will charge your card without permission.
Cons: They will randomly add people to your account and charge you thousands of dollars for the new connection with no warning or communication. Then you will spend hours on the phone with the worst customer service available to man to get the connection removed and your money refunded. AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!
Alex T. · Owner · Consumer Services · February 29, 2024
Very inflexible.. treat a small family company the same as a multinational.
Pros: There is nothing to like, its very expensive.
Cons: Cant choose level of membership, extremely expensive but need to have it to be able to work onsite, so forced to pay $6k per year. And the price goes up by 30% per year...
Lester W. · Director · Facilities Services · February 23, 2024
I have had to seek help from them on many occasions due to the way they manage things, constantly having to duplicate documents, constantly having to get clarification on things. I did not want to join this and was made to by client. They will not be an honest and open organisation and let you have a pricing structure, my costs doubled for each of my clients for a year. They ignore safe contractor protocol meaning increasing work load.
Pros: Website looks ok and thats it I can not see any pros for this organisation
Cons: No one will supply direct answers. They refuse to supply a pricing structure, you have to wait until you get your bill. Uncooperative Will not give clear guidlines Duplicate work
nathan h. · Director · Facilities Services · February 8, 2024
Absolutely hate ever moment of using them. ONE of my thousands of clients use them so we have to pay this exuberant fee for zero purpose. I get NO value for having to deal with them on a weekly basis and they are worth nothing. Just house my existing certification and make life so much more difficult. It is basically a scam!
Pros: NOTHING! The whole process is shocking and does not work
Cons: The interface Customer service The constant having to call them and getting nowhere Price is a joke
Andrew R. · Compliance Manager · Renewables & Environment · January 5, 2024
I can never get customer service. When you call they circle you around and then tell you that they have no customer service available and this is for month after month not just one time. This is always. I have never been able to speak to a person when I have tried to call. They take 2-3 days to review paperwork then decline it and do not even know what they are talking about when declining it. I do not think their employees know English or how to read basic forms. This company is the biggest SCAM.
Pros: Nothing. I hate this company. I wish I could cancel.
Cons: Everything. It is very expensive and we are forced to use it because they bait our customers into joining it and mandating it.
Kelly K. · Office Manager · Construction · January 4, 2024
Avetta is a huge waste of time and money. They offer no value to me or my customers who demand that I use them. Unfortunately they have sold a bill of goods to our customers who demand we sign up with them and go through all the processes and forms just to get a compliance approval.
Pros: Avetta offers nothing to like. Their product and services have no value to anybody who has to use them.
Cons: The high cost for no value to my business.
Dwight K. · Owner · Computer Hardware · December 26, 2023
Horrible. Rigid forms that require answers they deem as appropriate, which are often not required in our specific industry. Slow, labor consuming, uninformed support calls that often do not reach successful conclusion. No contact information provided to the client connection personnel. Invoices with little detail. Forced "Auto-pay" set up on credit cards without approval. The list goes on and on...
Pros: I do not like anything about it. They obviously spend way too much of our payment making their webpages and "classes" into shiny, appealing marketing material.
Cons: Sales model presents to our customers as a free service, has them require us to comply in the (rigid) portal, then charges us! Our contracts with customers are often fully executed before we discover that we are forced to pay for Avetta, and spend many hours in (rigid) form fill, before our team will be allowed onto the customer's work site.

We derived no benefit, were unable to qualify for business with the potential customer, so gave up after multiple re-submissions. Insult to injury, their autopay charged us another annual fee which we were unable to reverse. Currently trying to cancel, might have to cancel the credit card they are using to charge us.I haven't touched the program after the first 6 weeks of attempting to qualify, but this wasnt' an option when responding to this survey.
Pros: Currently trying to cancel as service that we don't use. What do I like best? At least they don't send me a bunch of useless emails.
Cons: If you wish to cancel, they make it very difficult.
Ken A. · CFO · Construction · October 6, 2023
Tearing my hair out.
Pros: Nothing at all. It is beyond infuriating to use this product.
Cons: Exorbitantly priced, diabolical interface, NO support, and by all accounts complete charlatans.
Jackie C. · Admin · Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing · September 12, 2023
Only reason we use is becasue one customer requires it. Overly Expensive for what we get from it. Tedious process doing manual audits, rejection after rejection, pointless documents needed for absolutley everything. No real explanation as to why it was rejected, you do what they tell you to and then they will reject it for a diffferent reason. Im at the point where im willing to stop working for this particular customer because avetta makes it so difficult to be compliant.
Pros: There is nothing to like about Avetta
Cons: American company auditing me on UK H&S. Took 6 weeks to review documents. Wont explain how to make sure documents dont get rejected. Hard to contact. Too Expensive. Spend more time uploading documents than actually doing the job for the customer.
Tim H. · Manager · Mechanical or Industrial Engineering · August 24, 2023
We are only using Avetta because three of our big clients use it for their supply chain. This automatically costs us about £450 per client which buys us the privilege of being nagged to complete numerous compliance forms and tasks, most of which are irrelevant to us as we are a very small company with 5 staff total, or they are unrelated to our activities for those clients. In most cases we just leave those tasks incomplete and our clients are fine with that, other than uploading our insurance certs etc.We have to pass on our subscription costs to those clients and being on the platform does not bring us any benefits other than being able to work for those clients, as we are not interested in connecting with any other clients using the platform.Using Avetta brings us nothing but an expensive annual bill that covers no input of beneficial value from Avetta, and an irritating lists of tasks that we mostly ignore.
Pros: There are no aspects of Avetta that I like
Cons: Everything - it is just an annoying and wasteful cost for us, that regularly nags us to fulfil compliance tasks that our direct client contacts are not interested in.Avetta make it difficult to remove connections with clients that you no longer work for - you can only remove them within 30 days of having paid to connect with them, or within 30 days of renewal your Avetta subscription. Be sure to set yourself a reminder to make the request so you don't miss the window!
Tom S. · Director · Environmental Services · August 14, 2023
No benefits, cost us all the local suppliers who told us to piss off. Now service costs are doubled.
Pros: There was nothing about Avetta that was beneficial or likeable.
Cons: Avetta sells themselves as a supplier qualification service. It is not. It is a horrendeously mismanaged system of pissing off your suppliers until they quit. It starts with charging them $1300 for the privledge. From there is demands dozens of forms and qualifications that small suppliers cannot satisfy. As an example they demanded a written safety policy meeting their requirements. And provided a copy of their own as a go-by. Then disapproved it with no explanation.
Bruce K. · President · Construction · July 3, 2023
Pros: Only benefit was that some of our customers have required it.
Cons: Nearly impossible to cancel. Had to delete credit card info. Notify them of the cancellation 3 times. Still kept sending us invoices. Waiting to see if the fourth attempt will be successful.
Shane K. · Health & Safety Advisor · Construction · June 12, 2023
Pros: Nothing, it literally is just a giant scam.
Cons: It's almost impossible to cancel, don't get caught out by this scam.Once you've subscribed, it's auto renewal. My bad, should have read the contract.Once you try to cancel for next years renewal, they give you a very small window to do so.You must cancel 30 days before the next renewal, and then when you do, you have to then confirm you still want to cancel within the last 30 days... If you don't do both these steps, guess what? Your card gets charged again. When your card declines, guess what? You get an invoice instead - that they claim you can't get out of. Absolute scam.
Toby C. · Technical Implementation Manager · Information Services · June 5, 2023
I dislike maintaining the avetta sites...by far the least user friendly compliance site I use...and by far the most expensive. I would not recommend and business to use this platform. I wish that companies would understand the cost that is passed on to small businesses for very little value.
Pros: Avetta is my least favorite compliance site I use..
Cons: 1. You have to upload multiple document for each client. Other sites only make you upload your documents once...on Avetta you have to upload for every client...its a waste of time. 2. The cost is double of what we pay for Comply Works and $800 dollars more that ISN. Avetta we only have 3 clients and pay $4116 for an annual subscription.3. When you want to speak with someone in person it is not easy to get someone on the phone. I put in a request for a phone call and they said the do not phone service providers. I had to wait on hold for too long.
Lana H. · Health and Safety Coordinator · Construction · April 14, 2023
We only registered to Avetta as this was requested by our client as part of the onboarding process. It was a very painful process with no assistance from Avetta. There is no true value of Avetta registration for our organisation.
Pros: I struggle to provide one. The interface may be ok, though it takes some time to learn it.
Cons: The requirements stipulated by Avetta do not reflect the current industry practice and often make no sense in the context of legal requirements in WA.
