Overall, Adobe Acrobat is a dependable and well-designed tool that sets the standard for PDF management. The reading and annotation experience is smooth, and the software feels mature and trustworthy for professional use. That said, the free tier feels overly restrictive compared to what competitors and free alternatives offer. Opening up core editing features — merging, splitting, and conversion — at no cost would make Acrobat the obvious first choice rather than a fallback. With a few adjustments to the feature gating, this could easily be a five-star product.
Pros: Adobe Acrobat delivers a polished and reliable experience for day-to-day PDF work. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to annotate, comment, and review documents without a steep learning curve. The cross-platform consistency is excellent — files look and behave the same whether on desktop or mobile. The recently introduced AI features are a welcome addition, offering genuine productivity gains when summarising or searching through lengthy documents.
Cons: The biggest frustration is that essential PDF functions — such as merging documents and file format conversion — are locked behind a paid subscription. These are baseline tasks that most users need regularly, and their absence in the free tier pushes people towards third-party tools, undermining the value of staying within the Adobe ecosystem. Free AI-assisted features would also go a long way in making Acrobat a more compelling all-in-one solution.

Pros: The most likely thing about the Adobe Acrobat is the saving of important documents digitally and electronically. The file combination feature helps to merge several documents into a single file document
Cons: When editing the existing pdf file, the system not help much with the fonts and format of the documents.

Overall, my experience with Adobe Acrobat has been very positive. It is a reliable and feature-rich tool for working with PDFs, offering strong capabilities for editing, signing, converting, and organizing documents. The integration with cloud services and collaboration tools makes it especially useful for both personal and professional use. While the subscription cost and occasional performance demands can be drawbacks, the software’s functionality, stability, and wide range of features make it a dependable choice for managing PDF workflows.
Pros: What I liked most about Adobe Acrobat was its powerful PDF editing and document management features. The software makes it easy to create, edit, sign, organize, and share PDF files in a professional and efficient way. I also appreciated the reliable conversion tools, cloud integration, and user-friendly interface, which helped simplify tasks like combining documents, adding comments, and collaborating with others.
Cons: One thing I liked least about Adobe Acrobat was the subscription pricing, which can feel expensive compared to some alternative PDF tools. The software can also use a significant amount of system resources at times, causing slower performance on older devices. Additionally, some advanced features may take time to learn, especially for users who only need basic PDF editing functions.

Overall, it's my go to for reading and exporting PDF's. There are other editing features that I would also like to dive into, especially with my writing work.
Pros: I love that at no cost you can use it to read documents and export them. I'm often sent PDF's and this is a very userfriendly way to be able to access those documents
Cons: For some reason, for me, I've had trouble printing from Adobe. I can send it to someone else with the same software and there is no issue so it could be something with my computer, but it has been a nuisance for me

Overall my experience with Adobe Acrobat has been very good. It’s the tool I trust when I need to edit or convert PDFs without messing up the layout. I use it for filling forms, signing documents, merging files and cleaning up scanned pages. It’s stable and does what I need, even though it can be slow at times.
Pros: how reliable it is for anything PDF‑related. I use it at work almost daily for editing forms, combining files, signing documents and converting stuff from Word or images. The conversion quality is really good, the formatting stays the same which saves me a lot of time. The interface is clean and once you know where things are, it’s quick to move around.
Cons: The main downside for me is that Acrobat can feel heavy sometimes, especially when opening big PDFs. It takes a moment to load. Some tools are hidden behind menus and I still forget where certain options are. The subscription price is a bit high if you only need basic editing

Adobe Acrobat brings together file conversion, editing, task tracking, and document organization in a simple interface. I can convert files to PDF, manage project workflows, and collaborate easily without switching between platforms.
Pros: I enjoy using Adobe Acrobat because it makes file conversion and document management seamless. I can turn any file into a clean, shareable PDF, organize project materials, and track tasks without extra tools. It keeps my workflow efficient and easy to manage.
Cons: Converting files is quick, the tools are easy to use, and it helps me keep projects organized in one place. It just makes everything feel more manageable.

Postive and very good/easy to use for the tasks I use in my work. But I don't need all the other services or the inevitable AI bolt ons that are now included.
Pros: The ability to send documents and correspondence via email and to save PDFs of correspondence received. I work as a Tax Consultant and Adobe Acrobat is useful for creating PDF copies of Articles, Tax Cases etc. The Document Signing facility is also a very useful tool.
Cons: It has much wider uses than the limited ones I require but I cannot seperate out all the associated functionality/AI etc etc
Jonathan H. · Director · Accounting · May 13, 2026
I find Adobe easy to work with. There's a small learning curve, but once you start using it, you learn about the different options available.
Pros: I like Adobe because it is consistent and easy to use. I recently had a large project to do which involved collecting many signatures from various stake holders, in a certain order. Adobe made it easy to set these up and send them out.
Cons: Sometimes Adobe is weird with file size. I ran into issues when it was someone sending over a Jpeg and I had to convert it to a PDF, or they use a scanner app on their phone. I'd try and compress the file (because Adobe wouldn't let me do anything over a certain size) and it didn't always work. One time I just gave up and printed it and re-scanned it.

My overall experience with Adobe Acrobat was positive. It provided a dependable and comprehensive set of tools for working with PDFs, making document editing, sharing, and signing straightforward, though some advanced features were behind a subscription and could be resource-intensive.
Pros: What I liked most about Adobe Acrobat was its reliable PDF editing and management tools, making it easy to create, edit, sign, and share documents efficiently.
Cons: What I liked least about Adobe Acrobat was that some advanced features required a subscription, and the software could feel resource-heavy at times.

Overall I love using it and I plan to continue using it and other products that adobe releases such as Photoshop and etc.
Pros: What I like most about adobe Acrobat is the ease of use and amazing file conversion abilities. The customer support is always fast and very professional. Also the customization options are so vast and suitable to all needs. Excellent value for the price.
Cons: The fact that it does cost a small amount to actually use the program. theirs not much you can do without a membership.
Kwang Y. · Freelancer · Computer Games · May 10, 2026
Pros: I like how clean the form and signature look and the customzation options. It makes documenting and managing my projects needing signatures easier.
Cons: It was a little hard to find the signature tool within the app because it's called certificates. Once found, it's close to the bottom of the tools options.

Overall, Adobe Acrobat in my experience has been a great software to use and have not encountered any issues with. It will open up PDFs much quicker than other competing software readers. It also allows you to do basic editing for most everyday tasks.
Pros: I like that Adobe Acrobat is a simple and pretty easy to use program to view your PDFs. It also has editing capabilities which make it great. Seems like a pretty easy program to use. I have not had any issues or crashing of the program and it seems fairly reliable from my day to day use.
Cons: The thing I like least is its ability to do more than read and edit PDFs. I don't think there is a way to scale PDF drawings in my line of work and to measure drawings with dimensions. For that, I tend to use another software with that capability.
Anthony K. · Mechanical Engineer · Construction · May 4, 2026
Fantastic experience for many, many years now. You can view your pdf, edit it. Add page numbers or bate stamp.
Pros: Still loving Adobe acrobat. This program is best one I've used. Able to edit, add page numbers, bate stamp pages, etc.
Cons: There's not a single thing i dislike about adobe acrobat. This is a fantastic program to use. So no complaints at all.

Pros: Ability to use Adobe Sign to send documents to multiple approvers, reviewers, and signers with automatic reminders.
Cons: A bit of a learning curve, but was fairly easy to learn how to implement and manage documents. Mobile compatibility not great.
Anonymous User · Commercial Advisor · Oil & Energy · April 27, 2026
Pros: The flexibility of editing within the site. Being able to create a digital signature has saved me so much time from printing, writing a wet signature and scanning the document back in.
Cons: I am not a fan of how glitchy adobe acrobat can be. If I go to save the document as an adobe PDF it’ll freeze and crash my whole laptop! I end up having to restart it.
Zaria T. · Community Experience Coordinator · Real Estate · April 26, 2026
I really enjoy using this software because it makes tasks easier to complete, and I'm able to get back to customers quickly.
Pros: I like using this because it makes it easier to separate pages and edit documents nicely. There are a lot of different tools to choose from when using this software.
Cons: It can sometimes be hard to find the right tool for my document, which can be time-consuming. The icons for the tools can be confusing at times.
Sabrina H. · Sales Admin · Construction · April 24, 2026
My experience has been excellent. Adobe Acrobat is reliable, ensures document compatibility across any device (phone or computer).
Pros: To have a feature that allows you to turn scan document into editable text and the electronic signature features via Adobe Sign, makes the use of the software flawlessly.
Cons: The subscription pricing is also quite high compared to newer, lightweight competitors, also old computer find it difficult to run all features.

Overall, my experience with Adobe Acrobat has been very good. I’ve been using it for a couple of years, and it’s been really reliable for editing documents, merging PDFs, and creating PDFs from images. The interface is simple and easy to use, especially when it comes to filling out forms quickly without any issues.
Pros: I have been using this paid version for the last couple of years, and it has been really helpful. It’s great for editing documents, merging PDFs, and even creating PDFs from images. One of the best features is how easily we can fill out PDF forms without any issues. Overall, I would definitely recommend it as a reliable tool for document handling and task management. Their e-signature feature is really great. We can easily send any document for signature, and the other party can sign it digitally without the need to print anything.
Cons: One thing I don’t like is that whenever we try to open certain files or applications, it keeps prompting us to set Adobe Acrobat as the default. This can be a bit frustrating at times and interrupts the workflow.

I am overall satisfied with the features like document comparison, minimum bugs and crashes as it makes it efficient. I can access files across devices via one drive and dropbox as I mainly use it for work. customer support has been awesome as they always have a solution for my problems, if ever.
Pros: I like the ease and convenience it offers as a comprehensive and secured PDF solution. It allows editing, e-signature , password protection and customization options. Supports multiple file formats, seamless conversion to pdf's.
Cons: compression size can be improved( make size smaller) and pricing for students and individual users can be reduced

Adobe Acrobat has been a reliable program to use when reading PDFs and managing large amounts of information for publication and sharing.
Pros: Adobe Acrobat is a universal tool for reading and editing PDFs. We use Acrobat and DC Reader to edit PDFs.
Cons: Currently, I don't like the feature that turns all my photos into PDFs when I download, so that I have to export them into images.

Pros: I like Adobe acrobat as it is easy to use. It has a good value for money. There has been no bugs issue since I have been using it. Adobe acrobat is so good for file conversion.
Cons: One of the cons of Adobe acrobat is that it may slow while using it sometimes. It also seems to be quite expensive compared to other alternatives.
