Overall, my experience with Microsoft SharePoint has been positive, particularly in supporting collaboration and providing centralized access to documents. It serves as a reliable platform for teams to share information, co-author files in real time, and maintain a single source of truth. The ability to access content from anywhere and integrate with other Microsoft 365 tools significantly enhances productivity and teamwork. However, issues with document checkout and difficulty finding files can sometimes impact productivity.
Pros: Easy collaboration, centralized document management, strong security & data protection, access anywhere, workflow automation and integration with Microsoft 365.
Cons: Users sometimes can’t check out or edit documents, especially when files are locked or permissions aren’t clear. This can slow down collaboration and create confusion about who owns the file.

Overall, I have had a good experience with Microsoft SharePoint. I mainly use it to share Word documents with my coworkers.
Pros: Microsoft SharePoint is a great tool to manage documents. It is fairly easy to use and does not have frequent bugs and issues.
Cons: It can be confusing at times, but not too bad. I am not aware of all of the available features, but I do use it to share documents.

Pros: Il a une gestion des documents qui est très avancée, la collaboration en ligne est aussi très sécurisée.
Cons: Je trouve que le logiciel est quand même difficile d'utilisation, il demande beaucoup de temps pour comprendrez certains mécanismes.

My overall experience with Microsoft SharePoint has been good. It’s a dependable platform for managing documents and collaborating with teams. After getting familiar with it, it really improves workflow and efficiency.
Pros: It makes document sharing and team collaboration very convenient. Everything stays organized in one place, and integration with tools like Teams and Outlook makes daily work much smoother. The version history feature is also very useful.
Cons: It tends to lag sometimes when handling large files or heavy data. Also the interface to confusing for new users.

Pros: $8e
Cons: What I like least about Microsoft SharePoint is that performance can be a bit slow at times, especially when dealing with larger files or multiple users working at the same time. It is not constant, but it can interrupt workflow when it happens. The user interface feels a bit outdated compared to other modern tools, which makes navigation less smooth than expected. There are also moments where permissions and access settings become confusing, especially in larger teams, and it takes extra effort to manage who can see or edit what.

Pros: I like that SharePoint has allowed us to effectively collaborate as a team across the organization by keeping documents organized and easy accessible.
Cons: It was a struggle at first to learn how the application works because I felt like I was going in circles trying to find certain documents.

Overall i would say its positive, but not amazing. The bugs do make it annoying at times and makes you wonder why something so simply can be buggy.
Pros: Great for document management and relatively easy to use. A necessity if you are a Microsoft shop or use Outlook
Cons: Can be a bit buggy at times when collaborating, has syncing issues, and challenges with uploading files with similar names.

Microsoft is the best tech company in the world, Overall, SharePoint is a powerful tool for collaboration and document management, offering seamless Microsoft 365 integration and robust customization
Pros: Value for Money Customer Support Ease of Use Document Management User Interface Bugs and Issues Calendar and Scheduling
Cons: Setup and Configuration Challenges Setting up SharePoint, particularly with permissions and navigation, can be difficult. Some users report that the setup process is time-consuming and can affect usability if not done wel

Standard usage around managing shared document libraries, team sites, version control and internal knowledge bases, without highly complex reporting, customization or governance needs.
Pros: Microsoft SharePoint covers the expected basics for managing shared document libraries, team sites, version control and internal knowledge bases. The feature set is coherent, especially around permissions, and it can be useful when the organization mainly needs a practical operational solution.
Cons: My main reservation is that requires clear folder/site structure. For standard needs it is acceptable, but for a more advanced finance, audit, reporting or governance-oriented use case, complementary controls may still be needed.

It does a job and is secure but it is limited by how it’s organised and managed by the team who set it up in your organisation. It needs a careful and dedicated manager to be really successful.
Pros: Useful for sharing documents across a team/network in a intranet for example. Useful to store backups of documents too. Can be organised well and relied upon.
Cons: Nothing particularly terrible but it just doesn’t feel as slick or as user friendly as file storing/sharing alternatives. This is partially due to how it is organised by the team who implements it.

Love it! It is a great way to share information, organize multiple file types into a single place. The ability to create pages to help with organizing and the templates and design ideas are great.
Pros: I just love this idea of a central place for my employees to go to for information and training. Sharepoint is pretty easy to use, but there is a learning curve. The templates are super-useful too. I use it also to keep information for certain projects as well as our sub-entities. Much nicer than a folder on the computer or in OneNote or other similar. Organizing with web pages is so easy and actually fun to create.
Cons: I have found that, once I create/upload a document into the document library, I cannot drag and drop it into a folder.

Overall, I enjoy using Microsoft SharePoint to co-author and access files and other workflows across my organization.
Pros: What I like most about Microsoft SharePoint is its ability to allow my company to communicate and share documents.
Cons: What I like the least about Microsoft SharePoint is how the interface is not as intuitive when compared to other products.

I use Share Point everyday setting up the new projects that we are working on and storing our documents.
Pros: The ease of use and to have all our information in one place. Also, that we can store all the project files in one place.
Cons: The cons are that the program isn't fully integrated with other platforms or that we can have DocuSign integrated.
Darlene L. · Estimating Coordinator · Construction · April 14, 2026
Anonymous User · HR · Human Resources · April 14, 2026
Pros: It centralizes document management and collaboration in one place. It integrates seamlessly with Microsoft 365, making file sharing, version control, and real-time co-authoring very efficient for teams.
Cons: it can be quite complex and not very intuitive, especially for new users. Setup, customization, and governance often require technical expertise and can take time.
Elon E. · Project Finance · Banking · April 13, 2026
Pros: Sharepoint was really helpful to be able to share documents easily with my work team. Easy to use and highly recommended.
Cons: Once you use Sharepoint a lot, it can be a little tricker to access all the files you have saved, but it can easily be filtered.
Cesar G. · Mechanical Engineer · Defense & Space · April 13, 2026
My overall experience with Microsoft SharePoint has given my team and I the advantage of getting important work done even when we are not physically in the same location!
Pros: The best thing I love about Microsoft SharePoint is the ability it gives my team and I to share in real time projects and documents we need to collaborate on, especially when we are all in different locations!
Cons: The only suggestion I would have for Microsoft SharePoint would be to integrate easier 3rd party AI apps directly into the collaborative functions.
Andrew W. · Senior Sales Associate · Medical Practice · April 11, 2026
MS Sharepoint has been a much needed tool for our company to move forward and enhances collaboration, communication, and creates a source of truth between our employees.
Pros: Sharepoint has made collaboration across our organization so much easier. We have also connected many software applications to sharepoint as a common file repository, and it's created less issues within our network shared drive. We find MS Sharepoint is cheaper than other solutions. When we have issues Microsfot customer support is quick and effective.
Cons: We've found integrations between different software platforms are difficult to set up. However, once they are set up we generally don't need much efforts to maintain going forward.

My overall experience with SharePoint has not been really bad asides from the small shortcomings on SharePoint end from time to time. It been fair
Pros: I love the collaboration feature that let's you share files and folders with people within and even outside my Organization so seamless and stressfree.
Cons: The persistent network issues that tends to happen from time to time The frequent synchronization issues between sharepoint and my folders The lag between SharePoint online and desktop The slowness of upload
Wealth A. · Data Engineer · Financial Services · April 3, 2026
Overall, my experience has been fine. I would not say its a low point for MS office, but it is my least favorite piece of the suite to use.
Pros: SharePoint has been good for me. I use it daily at my current job where we do a lot of document sharing on the quality side. It is easy to use and tracks projects well.
Cons: Sometimes getting to a sharepoint is hard especially when it is one that has been shared with me. I try to make it as easy as possible for myself.

Using SharePoint is like being on a rollercoaster designed by a committee—sometimes thrilling, sometimes terrifying, and occasionally you’re just hanging there wondering why you ever got on. It’s powerful, confusing, occasionally frustrating, but somehow you can’t live without it… mostly because your files are trapped inside.
Pros: SharePoint: the ultimate game of “Where Did I Save That?” Great for document hide-and-seek, turning clicks into cardio, and giving meetings an existential purpose. Bonus points for making you feel like a detective every time you try to find a version of a file that actually exists.
Cons: SharePoint: because who doesn’t love a good treasure hunt just to open a document? Menus everywhere, clicks galore, and don’t even get me started on the “modern” interface that somehow makes everything more confusing. Also doubles as a test of patience and willpower—Excel files, beware.

I have been using Microsoft SharePoint since I began working here. It is essential to our workflow, and it has not let me down.
Pros: My business used Microsoft SharePoint for nearly everything. It is easy to use, manage, and find necessary links. It is great to have everyone have access to the same home page as well. The collaboration and document management that this product offers is unmatched.
Cons: I haven't come across anything bad about Microsoft SharePoint. Any issues that I did have were promptly addressed by the support team.

Overall, even with all the cons, Sharepoint is one of a kind apps that allows your organization (small or enterprise) to collaborate and manage files/tasks/projects together. With almost endless ways to customize your sites you can do so many cool things with Sharepoint - from creating a Teams group where you keep your files and chat with colleagues to creating a whole Intranet web for your organization.
Pros: $8f
Cons: - Customer support from Microsoft is always hit or miss. Usually if you stuck with something looking elsewhere is easier than escalating to MS Support. - Interface could be tricky and non-intuitive. Sometimes even simple tasks can take a lot of time because of interface. - This is one of the most powerful Microsoft services available on a market so bugs are pretty inevitable. And given MS support sometimes doing some tasks is hard - If you have an on-prem environment - SharePoint is a cloud based service. You will have to migrate your files to a cloud first.

Overall SharePoint is a beneficial program within the workplace for group file management. This program works for small groups as well as larger groups and can be controlled based on user permissions which allows the ability to set up multiple libraries. Unfortunately there can be a rather steep learning curve for new users and larger libraries do not perform to the same level as smaller ones.
Pros: Having all shared documents in one location on cloud-based software has been instrumental in effective team work. Having the ability to create multiple folders and also manage them based on security and permissions has significantly decreased the number of emails with potentially confidential attachments. All users who understand and are comfortable with SharePoint love the ability to search for specific documents rather. Furthermore, having the ability to use it on a web based platform as well as having "folders" within Windows allows users to use the software in an individualized way. We have folders that are accessible to only 4 employees and some that are accessible to 20 employees and they both function well.
Cons: The largest issue with SharePoint is the learning curve. It can be quite difficult for new users to navigate, specifically those who are less tech savvy. The inability to customize the software based on user can at times be difficult to manage. While SharePoint is a Microsoft product, it can be confusing to employees that they potentially have two places to save documents (OneDrive and SharePoint). Unfortunately, larger libraries can be slower when searching and/or syncing.
Samm R. · Office Finance Manager · Insurance · March 23, 2026
Pros: The Integration into the OneDrive App aswell as the customization Options when creating Sites. The Amount of Linking, Settings and Guest Settings you can turn are amazing. I've never had a more easier tool to manage than sharepoint.
Cons: Unfortunately, the Pricing of Sharepoint is not ideal for everyone. Most of the Storage Options come with O365 Business Standard or above Licenses, which are taking costs at an exponentionally growing userbase unreal. Alot of Pricing Options are not transparent which is a bummer sometimes.
