I haven't used it on another project since, it was fine, but I prefer other systems I have more experience with.
Pros: I was working on a project, the client had an existing Laravel based app and wanted to integrate with it for a website. October CMS was the only CMS that runs on Laravel that I could find, it met our needs and was easy to set up with a good user interface.
Cons: At the time, it was quite a young CMS and lacked a few features others support, for example versioning

smooth - so far I have managed to do everything I needed to for small to medium businesses
Pros: it is super flexible and easy to use. It allows me to build new functionalities without prior backend knowledge
Cons: not enough plugins as other cms. The e-commerce part is a bit complicated and maybe some sort of a package would help a lot here.

Our overall experience with October CMS at https://www.qstom.si has been highly positive. It's a powerful CMS for custom web development.
Pros: At qstom.si, we appreciate how October CMS offers a clean, developer-friendly experience. The flexibility it provides for custom development, combined with its modular plugin system. It is secure and scalable.
Cons: Learning clients who want to manage content themselves can be tricky.

My experience with OctoberCMS has been positive, especially when it comes to fast delivery of small applications and APIs. Since it's built on Laravel, it provides a familiar and efficient development environment, making it easy to set up and deploy projects quickly.
Pros: OctoberCMS is powered by Laravel, one of the most popular PHP frameworks. This makes it highly flexible and developer-friendly
Cons: The plugin ecosystem is not as extensive as WordPress, so finding specific functionality may require custom development.

I'm a C/C++/Javascript programmer with a focus on games. Web skills are not my strong suit. OctoberCMS is light enough that it appeals to my sense of speed and aversion to heavyweight waste, and seems to transcend many of the trendy come-and-go fads in technology. That is why I like it.
Pros: Have used OctoberCMS off and on for the past five years. It is lightweight and fairly no-nonsense. That means it's fast, and I'm someone who appreciates a more low-level and efficient approach. I have no problem or regrets paying for the license because IT IS WORTH IT.
Cons: It's a little janky if you want to do something basic like point to a plain old .html file in the directory. Gotta do some fancy footwork for things like that but it is still do-able.

We launched several projects and are very satisfied with October CMS. It is a convenient, fast, reliable CMS with many possibilities.
Pros: Advantageous and convenient CMS system for any task!
Cons: Not too many plugins. Sometimes requires coding a lot.

My overall experience with October being a Laravel ecosystem is that it is easy to deliver a product to a client fast without much hustle.
Pros: October is just amazing on how simple it is to learn its concept and build great application on the fly. What i really like October is just how easy it is to build great applications fast.
Cons: When they decided to switch over to a paid subscription model instead of offering their product for free. But anyways a great tool comes with a price.

Pros: It was super easy to setup a well-defined backend for even an enterprise website. No security concern in several years.
Cons: I think I need more support in designing the frontend

I've been writing on OctoberCMS for over 5 years and it's a very enjoyable 5 years. In cases when a client doesn't have the budget to build some deeply customised backend, but needs a simple and understandable, extensible interface for the admin or frontend - OctoberCMS has practically no competitors in this segment.
Pros: Familiar and understandable Laravel structure, availability of a marvellous and extensible admin area. AJAX framework that works on pure JS. Ability to integrate any frontend: Vue.js, React.js, Angual. A good set of inexpensive and even free plugins in the marketplace. Very affordable price.
Cons: It's not a simple question. I can't think of a single situation where the problem was specifically with OctoberCMS and not with my knowledge of PHP or Laravel framework ))

I think we made a very serious madness and switched our whole system to october cms.
Pros: We have an easy software production process.
Cons: Too many modules, Practical and easy to use

A cms structure that can be used by those who want to spend time creating their own structure.
Pros: It is a platform that anyone who knows or does not know code can easily install and use.
Cons: It has a flexible structure and is fast and is constantly being developed.

I would love to see a better plugin/theme market/gallery and an installation wizard.
Pros: Easy to work with and also easy to get started — I like the simplicity
Cons: can not be installed without composer, please add an installation wizard again...

My shoulder has increased our ability to create applications and build websites faster than ever
Pros: expendability and ease of use Much better option than Wordpress
Cons: There's very few things I don't like about October it's been great since I've found it

October is one of the developer friendly platforms there is on top of Laravel. You can literally do anything with it, and very fast with an inclusive UX/UI for both backend admin and front end web.
Pros: Leverage all the Laravel niceties while having a wonderfully useable content management system for your clients. Building out new applications with Octobers yaml based form parsing and object relationships is fantastic. Could you build more strict API based products with Laravel only? yes. But when you consider UX and UI and dashboard pages plus front end facing views, it's really really hard to beat October CMS.
Cons: It's not for the totally un-web initiated. A decent level of HTML/javascript and structural object thinking I think are a must. It's fine for setup and deliver for use to customers in my opinion, but not expecting inexperience to change manage per se.

Pros: Developer-Friendly Framework, Extensibility and Flexibility, User-Friendly Backend
Cons: Learning Curve for Non-Developers, Limited Built-in Features, Hosting Requirements
Martin V. · Founder · Design · July 13, 2024
It's the easiest and most straightforward CMS I've used. It's so simple to start with an idea and iterate on the design and development without fear that an choice made early in the process will come back to haunt you later. For an independent developer this is very important. October CMS gets it right.
Pros: Built with Laravel. Flat file system that can be extended to use a database. Advanced site building tools like Taylor and Builder. Easy and consistent theme system.
Cons: Theme and content are mixed together. This should be changed. Outdated plugins in the marketplace.

Pros: - highly customizable with Tailor - easy to create custom pages, with twig and PHP support - easy to use as content manager, simple navigation - very flexible
Cons: Not many specific plugins for some scenarios, not many themes Little bit hard to get into, but thats with every CMS

Pros: - Ease of use - Configurable - Ease to Theme and Program
Cons: - Pricey compared with competitive solutions
Amit D. · CTO · Information Services · December 16, 2023
Pros: It's straightforward to build the product according to your needs, exactly how it should be.
Cons: Technical knowledge is necessary to work with this platform
Anonymous User · COO · Financial Services · December 13, 2023
Pros: That we can use the power of laravel without having to use the routes laravel.
Cons: more easy reactivity dom, when you update db
Winston Derek R. · CTO · Entertainment · November 30, 2023
Pros: Very fast development potential. The builder is one of the best plugins you can build into a CMS.
Cons: Less modern interface, more traditional than innovative.
Viktor N. · CEO · Marketing and Advertising · November 28, 2023
Pros: The fact that extends Laravel and is well maintained.
Cons: On our system the migrations are renamed differently from some of the devs local envs, but it's easily fixed through git.

OctoberCMS is now my CMS of choice and I use it for all my clients sites. Not a single complaint about it really, great to use, amazing support, really fast. OctoberCMS might sound too good to be true, but it honestly is just amazing!
Pros: I've been using OctoberCMS for a few years now. It's been a wild ride! It's crazy to see how far the CMS has come with each update, it's gotten easier and faster to build sites and it's only going to get better with future updates! I love OctoberCMS's Turbo Router that means pages load extremely fast and fluidly. Tailor is an amazing feature that while with a bit of a learning curve, is super easy to add custom editable content to a site :DI'm much more a frontend developer, and more of a hobbyist then a professional. I don't do much coding at all, and October works great for me!
Cons: OctoberCMS sadly doesn't have any up to date video content anymore, and the Tailor explainer video is a poor introduction to the feature. Sadly, the available plugins for OctoberCMS is also quite slim, this is in part not a downside but a testament of how good the Tailer feature is, in part. But I'd love to see more developers contributing. Finding developers to create plugins is also hard, and very expensive, nearly twice what you would expect for WordPress or as a stand alone PHP script!I would also say the the OctoberCMS homepage doesn't inspire much curiosity or excitement in developers browsing the site and I know this first hand from showing it off to other users. Showcasing the features OctoberCMS has would work a treat!

Great, would recommend to everyone
Pros: I like the easy integration with Laravel, so I can create my own themes and packages
Cons: Sometimes an update destroys a few functions but you have that with every CMS

I am super happy with it
Pros: Easy to customise and save a lot of time in building complex functionalities
Cons: On page search engine optimisation could be more better
