Marq (formerly Lucidpress) is a design and brand templating platform that empowers non-designers to create and distribute on-brand marketing collateral without straining creative teams. With lockable templates, brand colors, fonts, and logos remain consistent while still allowing small customizations for local teams, events, or campaigns. This reduces the volume of repetitive design requests and frees creative professionals to focus on higher-value design work. By combining guardrails with flexibility, Marq ensures all content—digital, print, or sales collateral—reflects brand integrity while giving distributed teams the confidence to design and deliver quickly.

Pros: I liked the security system and the user-friendly layout of the software and that it’s very user-friendly and I would recommend it to all my friends and family
Cons: Nothing it’s fantastic and user-friendly and even for people that are not very good with technology it’s excellent

I feel like Marq is a little outdated compared to something like Canva and I would love to be able to exactly use our brand fonts but Marq has many that are pretty close.

Cons: I wish the filtering of the templates would default to new to old, as many of our old templates are now outdated and I would love for the new ones to be towards the top of the list.

Marq software implementation has ensured that our organisation is more productive by allowing us to close more deals and accelerate general productivity.
Pros: Marq has provided us with world class sales enablement tools at an affordable cost. The software's customer services are also reliable and helpful.
Cons: Marq is very reliable and user friendly.

I purchased a screen protector from their Chatswood store 12 months ago and tried twice to get it replaced but nobody was there (despite it being open). On my third attempt the store has gone and the contact number was disconnected. I had 4 days left on my warranty. I contacted them on Facebook to be told they had moved to Canberra (what about all the people who have bought screen protectors under warranty!). They tried to charge me a call out fee to replace it but I refused and requested a refund. I waited 30 business day and received no refund. Upon following on they lied on several occasions it had been processed. They wouldn't provide a receipt for the processed refund and wouldn't respond to my messages despite their business chat advising they usually respond within minutes. Do not buy products from these dishonest people. You will regret it if you have to use the warranty claim.
Pros: I didn't like anything about this business. They have sold products at Chatswood and relocated to Canberra leaving a lot of people in limbo.
Cons: They lied on several occasions about processing a refund. They then proceeded to ignore communications.

Pros: It offers easy-to-use templates, real-time collaboration, and cloud-based access, making it accessible for teams regardless of location. The platform helps maintain brand consistency with customizable lockable templates and integrates seamlessly with tools like Google Drive, Dropbox, and CRM systems.
Cons: Marq can be limiting for advanced design needs compared to professional tools like Adobe InDesign. Its pricing may feel high for smaller businesses, and advanced features, like detailed analytics or more extensive customization, are restricted to higher-tier plans.
Sylla N. · Fabricator · Fine Art · January 2, 2025
Pros: Marq is a cost effective platform for creating brand templates that allow control over what elements other employees can update and edit. This is crucial for maintaining brand standards but allowing other employees/departments the flexibility to make updates to designs which frees up time for the marketing department. Elements can be completely locked, semi-locked to allow content or attribute changes or freely unlocked for changes.
Cons: The interface and environment is very easy to learn but somewhat limiting. Image and design capabilities are comparable to Powerpoint. Biggest negative – since the Adobe Creative Cloud font management has moved to an app/cloud environment, physical fonts are no longer accesssible. The Marq program activates fonts by uploading the fonts. This is no longer possible when using the Adobe Creative Cloud. So, you can't use your brand font if it is not in the platform. You need to replace with a similar looking font. Marq does not have a plan to address this issue. Also, their customer service for troubleshooting any issue is non-existent. Once you sign up with the platform, you are on your own. The only method of contact is a Contact Support webpage that they never respond to.

Pros: You don't have to be an expert in design to produce top-notch content using Marq. A selection of pre-made templates is available to you, which may help you save time and effort. Furthermore, Marq is a tool that anybody can use, even those without previous knowledge of graphic design, as it is straightforward and doesn't require much training. For small firms and teams without in-house designers, this is very helpful. I particularly enjoy the site designs it offers; they are straightforward, simple to use, and have a fantastic user experience.
Cons: The major thing we don't like about Marq is that the trial version has a lot of restrictions, such as no access to premium templates. To get around these restrictions, we have to purchase the premium plan. Marq also utilises third-party applications like Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud to enhance the flexibility of content production and customization.

Pros: Good and easy to use, has lots of useful helpful features.
Cons: Not a fan of the layout or display of features.
Ashley M. · Aesthetician · Cosmetics · January 27, 2023
Pros: Thanks to the digital era, perfect templates and smart contents set the tone. However, finding right combinations and ensuring customized solutions can be -one of the hardest tasks to handle due to unlimited platforms and softwares. In this respect, marq comes to the forefront among others through customizable and flexible designs and configurations.
Cons: More templates making presentations more exceptional could be added
ozge k. · Freelancer · Marketing and Advertising · August 7, 2022
Pros: Good user interface, easy to use, and offers a variety of templates. No special training is required - the user simply has to get familiar with it and how it works. This is our go-to for flyers, one-sheets, posters, and other designs that don't require the use of a professional graphic designer.
Cons: It doesn't offer the bells and whistles that Adobe InDesign offers, however, the latter is a bit more difficult to use and requires training.
Linda O. · Marketing Director · Education Management · July 29, 2022
Pros: It is good to use for a small team. We use it for presentations and marketing. The interface is nice and easy!
Cons: The program sometimes has some delays, and glitches.
Esmé D. · Floor manager · Supermarkets · July 15, 2022
Pros: Clean and easy to use. Endless possibility for template creation makes it easy to conform to organization brand guidelines. Simple formatting and easy to download versions as needed!
Cons: Additional features such as text bending around an image would allow for more flexibility in creating marketing materials.

In 2017, I signed up for a free trial and didn't cancel after a month. However, they charged each year for 4 more years with no notification of any kind. On the one hand, my bad, I should've paid more attention to my credit card statements. On the other hand, federal law requires a business to notify companies to notify customers when a subscription is renewed and I was never notified until this year, when the card I had been using was no longer active. So, the product is fine as far as I can remember, but their business practices are kind of sketchy. If you have a choice, you might as well go somewhere that cares about their customers a little.
Pros: It was pretty easy to use for someone with pretty minimal graphic design experience.
Cons: In violation of federal law, the company never notified me about renewing each year and I was charged for 5 years for a product I used maybe once.

Pros: I like most how intuitive and easy to use Lucidpress is. Whenever I want to build a digital print, this is my go-to software.
Cons: I wish Lucidpress integrated more with Lucidchart. It is difficult to bring shapes and images from one to the other.
Jacob S. · Customer Success Manager · Computer Software · June 11, 2022
Pros: I love the data management feature of this software. It allows us to mass-produce information for our clients that is tailored to them without having to spend too much time on each thing.
Cons: Becuase we have so much data, it can run a little slow when trying to create and update our information through data management.
Sid L. · Benefits Implementation Team Lead · Insurance · December 21, 2021
Love it. The ability to create documents quickly - and which look beautiful - is hugely valuable.
Pros: The end documents look highly professional. We can produce our own content without paying external designers and keep all items consistent with our branding
Cons: The text flow. Fiddly to master initially, although we got the hang of it fairly quickly. I’ve also found the text formatting is inconsistent between browsers. Overall though, not much to complain about and definitely no deal breakers.

Lucid press is excellent and relatively easy to learn. In the beginning, it takes some time to figure out the specific details of the different features, but after that, everything falls into place. I love the ability to create organized, "clean"-looking graphics to get information shared.
Pros: This program has been very beneficial in creating flow charts for our discipline procedures at my school. We were able to develop a graphic that was easy to read and color coordinated. This allowed teachers to easily find the section that is pertinent to them. The collaborative features made sharing and editing seamless and take very little time. I love the "Expanding page" feature as well where the page gets larger in sections where it is needed and not everywhere.
Cons: There could be more "shapes" to use in order to create the diagrams desired. Some of the shapes are not very conducive to large amounts of text.

Lucid has been my go to publishing software for over 5 years. We create newsletters, campaign mailers and more with ease.
Pros: I love having such a strong cloud based publishing software with lots of beautiful templates and functionality.
Cons: Somewhat a double edged sword, since it is cloud by nature, we've found ourselves having to purchase more and more storage.
TRAVIS J. · Director · Non-Profit Organization Management · August 11, 2021
Pros: The fact that I was able to use it online on any of my work desktops along with the team creation made this exceptional.
Cons: I hated the loading times, random crashing of my documents along with the horrible publishing software when trying to use this online.
Samuel P. · Head of Graphic Design · Airlines/Aviation · July 21, 2021
Able to create quality magazines with simple instructions.
Pros: Relative ease of use and simple instructions
Cons: Some times the pages freeze and you have to wait
Shetan N. · Managing writer · Publishing · July 13, 2021
For a cloud service to use in documents, it is very usable. Just don't expect to do creative design in it. Create multi-page text documents in it if you want, but do your cover somewhere else.
Pros: My colleague uses this and invited me to try it on her account. It has nice features and allows you to create and layout documents, and provides a catalog interface so I can see and choose all my created content quickly. Easy to use for a cloud service, good for beginners to do basic stuff.
Cons: To be honest, it feels a bit old, reminds me of Aldus Pagemaker back in the 90's. Layout functionalities are limited and stiff, provides few options for creative design. Don't get me wrong, it is very usable and you CAN do good layouts in it, but it takes time and a lot more steps than what I am used to.

Very good once i got the hang of it and followed the introduction our design team set up.
Pros: - Brand guidelines set up and defined by the design team pre-approved giving me the correct format ready to use. Therefore saving me time in getting approval for items I created from our design team.
Cons: Finicky design to use the software. You think you have one item selected, and actually to have the whole page selected except the item you intended. then you go to move it and everything moves off the page.
Zac M. · Project manager · Sporting Goods · June 28, 2021
My overall experience with LucidPress was positive.
Pros: I enjoyed the templates provided and the ease of use. The selection of categories and templates was extensive and varied.
Cons: Sometimes it was difficult to format the work done on LucidPress on my website! Sizing of images was somewhat complicated.
Rosalind H. · President · Design · June 25, 2021
LOVE IT! I highly recommend this for a team who might be down on designers but wants to spiff-up their assets!
Pros: I love how easy and approachable Lucidpress is. Without having any design experience I have been able to learn the software as I go (very approachable) and yet always produce professional looking designed assets. They have a vast template library that I find to have the best looking templates on the market! (Much better than Canva in my opinion). I also think the value for money is the best on the market. Lastly, I have been using lucidpress and lucid chart over 3 years and see the innovation over time. Native integrations with other key areas of our tech stack is important - such as JIRA and confluence.
Cons: It is expensive for someone who uses it infrequently. That being said, I have done annual contracts or month to month and never experienced any issues in closing and reopening my account (all my data was saved and their support team was very helpful in the process).
