My overall experience with Caxton has been mostly positive. The multi-currency functionality is incredibly convenient, and the competitive exchange rates make it a go-to for travel. The app is easy to navigate, and the card is widely accepted worldwide. However, the ATM fees and inactivity charges can be frustrating, and I wish the customer service hours were more flexible. Despite these minor issues, Caxton remains a reliable and secure option for managing money while traveling.
Pros: What I like most about Caxton is the convenience of managing multiple currencies with ease. The competitive exchange rates are a big plus, and the app is simple to use. I’ve had no issues using the card globally, and the security features give me peace of mind. Their customer service has been great too—always quick and helpful!
Cons: One thing I like least about Caxton is the ATM withdrawal fees, which can add up when traveling. Also, the inactivity fees are a bit frustrating if you don’t use the card frequently. I’ve found the customer service hours a bit restrictive, especially when in different time zones. Additionally, it would be nice if you could lock in better exchange rates at certain times, and the limits on currency loading can be a drawback for larger transactions.

Pros: I returned to Caxton after a break of several years, as I was going on holiday abroad for the first time in a while. Previously, I had also regularly used Caxton to settle my large Euro invoices but the impact of Brexit has curtailed my purchases in the EU. My account was still open and a previous sterling sum was still waiting for me. I was able to use my pre-loaded card easily and without problem while travelling abroad and welcomed the opportunity of a great deal.

Cons: Information is sometimes too superficial and not covering wider market data

Excellent and have been using Caxton for over 4 years and hardly any problems so far.
Pros: We are able to use cards for our clients and keep a record of the spending.
Cons: Customer service should be 24 hours with a service like this.

Very happy with my overall experience, had superb help from customer service if ever needed
Pros: This was recommended to me by another small business owner and is a far better way than using my bank to make international payments and purchase currency.
Cons: Nothing I do not like about the service

Nothing short of Excellent..... Severe difficulties withe App on my phone which eventually we will over come.
Pros: the Customer service provided by [sensitive content hidden].
Cons: This is not just a criticism of Caxton, its of ALL U.K. Banks. Compliance has gone WAY TO FAR and OVER BOARD. British Banks are killing Trade and Business and giving it all away to the USA, who are a lot more open minded and TRULY WANT Business.....Many years ago, [sensitive content hidden] stated the Britain was open for Business....In my opinion, that is the last thing this Country is open for these days.....

Pros: We like the fact we can use multiple currencies for payments which helps us to circumvent pesky transaction charges from the bank (in addition to the banks poor FX rate)
Cons: The customer service can be slightly slow / lacking at times. Often require to make multiple phone calls to get through, or emails need chasing multiple times.

Very satisfy, I have used other system and providers before. Caxton meets our needs and I feel better customer services. The system is simple to install and apply. It has multiple currencies functions which meets the needs for our international teams.
Pros: Easy to use, good customer care. I get reply and response quickly from my contact. The system is simple to use and very effective. It saves time and many report options. I feel that this is a best system we have ever.
Cons: None. I just don't have time to explore other functions yet, but nothing to do with Caxton. I am planning to implement other options and have meetings with Caxton, they all seem good and will help us to improve our system. I just need time and gradually to try them on.

Pros: The personal touch, the ability to issue staff with debit cards with no monthly fee and the competitive rates achieved on larger currency forward purchases. I liek the expert knowledge and the friendly helpful answers from [sensitive content hidden] when I have a query about timing my currency purchases. The knowledge that he and his colleagues have can't be replicated on an app or a website.
Cons: The reporting side of things is poor. You really need to be able to generate reports that save time on bookkeeping and to do that a single report showing transactions in and out in date order for all cards and including all forward purchases (i.e. combine the transfers and cards sections and include all cards rather than having to pick one at a time)

excellent! can't fault it. Thanks!!!!!!!
Pros: Really helpful customer service and quick responses
Cons: my original rate wasn't better than my other platforms but all it took was a conversation and they beat me other suppliers

Mixed feelings and I think I will only use it short term, I don't think I will be renewing the account next year. If it hadn't been for the help from [sensitive content hidden], I think I would have thrown in the towel!
Pros: [sensitive content hidden] was exceptional providing instructions, clear and concise and easy to follow. He was always at the end of an email with a speedy reply.
Cons: I felt I didn't have much help when trying to set up the account, it was a case of I paid the cost to set up now just get on with it!

Pros: Easy to use, staff are great and helpful and respond quickly to any questions or problems. Couldn't fault them.
Cons: I have no complaints about Caxton other than sometimes the app data doesn't update as quickly as I'd like, but its a non-issue.

Cons: Nothing to note, thanks for the great service.

Very easy to use and good customer support

It's great, no real problems and an excellent solution for teachers not having to carry cash or use thier own personal bank cards whilst on school trips.
Pros: Ease of use, ability to give staff on school trip and safe and covneient method of payment when overseas. No longer need to order and collect currency from the bank.
Cons: It would be ven better if we could upload money using our school purhcasing cards rather than have to do a bank transfer
Hilary G. · Business Manager · Education Management · November 15, 2023
We were set up quickly in just a few days, compliance checks were swift and appropriate. We used the account for accounts payable in multiple currencies and it works very well for this
Pros: We had an account manager who was able to help set us up quickly.
Cons: We were using for payments and that's exactly what they do so they haven't overstretched, and the service is good.

we needed a business banking alternative and caxton offered simple cards and we use their accounts payable function for business holding accounts because we operate in multiple currencies
Pros: its easy to hold multiple currencies for accounts payable and receivable - we dont have to convert foreign money before we pay it out in same-same currency arrangements
Cons: no email notifications for expense cards are a bit tedious but at least it keeps the team spending in check!
