Overall, I'm highly impressed with everything that I have used Financial Cents for in my bookkeeping firm, and I'm excited to learn about more of its features and how I can use those to efficiently provide my bookkeeping services to my clients both now and as my firm grows.
Pros: $7c
Cons: I haven’t been using the software for long, but so far I haven’t found anything I dislike. I also appreciate being part of the Facebook group, where I can learn from other users of the platform and hear about software updates that are being worked on or implemented.

Still very positive, but the inability to open excel and Word documents in the program is problematic.
Pros: Intuitive layout, customizing is easy, interaction with and requests for clients very effective-even with the least tech savvy client
Cons: When needing to open any other type of document other than a pdf, the document opens as if it were a pdf or not at all. Excel files open as a pdf meaning that I can 't see all of the information in a logical fashion. Word and Excel docs have to be downloaded out of program to be viewed.

My overall experience with Financial Cents has been positive. The platform helps solve workflow visibility and task management challenges by giving me one place to track recurring work, deadlines, and follow-up items. That has made my process more organized and reliable. At the same time, some features feel more limited for a solo firm, so there are still cases where manual workarounds are needed. Overall, it has been a useful system for keeping client work structured and on track.
Pros: Financial Cents helps me keep recurring client work organized in one place. The biggest benefit is visibility into deadlines, task status, and outstanding items across engagements. For a solo practice, that structure makes it easier to stay consistent and keep work moving.
Cons: Some workflow and automation features feel limited at the solo plan level, so a few processes still need to be handled manually. More flexibility for recurring workflows and task management without upgrading would improve the experience.

Overall, my experience with Financial Cents has been positive. The platform is well-structured and helpful for organizing workflows and managing tasks. It provides a solid foundation for operational processes, although there is room for improvement in flexibility and pricing options.
Pros: What I liked most about Financial Cents is how well it helps organize workflows and tasks in one place. It provides clear structure and visibility into ongoing work, making it easier to manage deadlines and keep the team aligned.
Cons: What I liked least was the pricing flexibility. Currently, the requirement for annual payment, along with the lack of monthly pricing and multi-currency options, makes it a bit challenging to fully evaluate the platform before committing. I would have preferred the ability to start on a monthly plan to better assess fit before moving to an annual agreement.

Our experience so far has been very positive. We recently signed up on the annual plan, and the onboarding and first impressions have been strong. Financial Cents appears thoughtfully designed for firms that need better workflow management, clearer task visibility, and more consistency across recurring client work. It’s still early, but we’re optimistic about the value it can bring to our practice.
Pros: Financial Cents seems purpose-built for accounting firms. The interface is clean, the workflow structure is intuitive, and it gives strong visibility into recurring tasks, deadlines, and team accountability. So far, it looks like a solid solution for standardizing processes and keeping client work organized.
Cons: We’re still early in the rollout, so it’s a little too soon to give fully informed feedback on drawbacks. The main challenge so far is simply that implementation takes time, especially when setting up workflows and training the team.
Kevin M. · Owner · Accounting · March 17, 2026
Overall, it’s a simple but powerful tool that helps our team stay organized, improve accountability, and provide a better experience for our clients.
Pros: Financial Cents has been a great addition to our accounting workflow. It has significantly improved our efficiency by keeping tasks, deadlines, and client communication organized in one place. One of the biggest benefits for us has been client onboarding. The ability to create structured workflows and track required documents makes the process much smoother and ensures nothing gets missed.
Cons: Would be nice if it also integrated with Xero easily and without friction. Xero is a better platform for efficiency as well.

So far it's been great! I've completed the trainings and added all my clients. I definitely feel that my practice is benefiting from a managerial perspective, and I think our clients are benefiting from the organization that the client portal provides.
Pros: I love the project management features, tags, team collaboration, month end close process, and the client portal.
Cons: It's a big investment financially. I totally understand why it costs what it does, and it's a heavy lift for a firm of my size. Also, while I find it very easy to use, my team who is less tech savvy is struggling a little bit to implement it.
Kaitlin L. · Management Member · Accounting · February 6, 2026
Overall, my experience has been extremely positive. FC is an affordable, flexible, time-saving PM system that my clients actually use—NO PASSWORD! FC is helping me scale my practice and my additional niche specific services with confidence.
Pros: $7d
Cons: Niche templates: I’d love more ready-made templates for specialized work (especially nonprofits). The workaround is that the community template library is extensive, genuinely helpful, and I plan to contribute as I continue building nonprofit workflows. Lack of calendar integration: A two-way sync with Google/Outlook (projects and meetings) would make the calendar truly amazing, especially during busy times. I'm hoping that is on the near horizon - fingers crossed. Template Import/Export: You can't import or export a template to work on it outside of FC. For me it means it take a bit more time to modify my existing templates and create new templates.

We have really enjoyed it and only 4 months in. It has increased our transparency as to what everyone is working on.
Pros: Ease of use and project collaboration is bar none. Task Management really puts it all in one place.
Cons: Nothing "yet", there are a few odds and ends, for instance, email integration can not be done with shared mailed boxes, but I feel they'll get there!
Erin G. · CEO · Accounting · January 15, 2026
Bookkeeping & Month-End Workflows. Automations. Onboarding with new Clients and engaging with them through an easy to access Client Portal. Being able to add and automate our Proposal & Contract process here as well as time-tracking staff time, invoicing and managing Client profitability all in one place is amazing!
Pros: Financial Cents has so much functionality to be an all-in-one practice management software for our Client Accounting Services company. Also the collaboration between members is amazing! Sharing workflow templates is fantastic!
Cons: The price point is a bit high for smaller firms just getting started and it does not have the full Financial Statement connectivity yet to QBO to perform balance sheet reconciliations or general financial review.

My overall experience with Financial Cents has been great! When I first started my business I signed up with them and never used the system. Now that its been some time and I returned because it has everything I need to run my business
Pros: Financial Cents has everything you need in one place, from the time tracking to payment processing, task management, project management, this system has it all!
Cons: not having a monthly plan for the subscription, I wish there was a monthly subscription for those small businesses like myself that can't afford to dish out $1,600 at once
Travis T. · Bookkeeper · Accounting · January 12, 2026
Excellent, it works well, helps us to stay on track. It accomplish everything that it promises, it's our most used tool.
Pros: Help us to stay on organized. Prioritize urgent tasks. Stay in touch with our clients. And organize our documents.
Cons: Could have more integrations. We wanted it to have built-in calendar integrations. More automated features.
Leandro J. · Accountant · Accounting · January 6, 2026
My overall experience with Financial Cents has been fantastic. As a solo practitioner, I wear every hat in the business, and I used to waste so much time chasing down documents and managing emails. Financial Cents solved that without breaking the bank. The setup was quick, and having the Solo Plan meant I didn't have to pay for seats I didn't need. The client portal is the standout feature for me—it makes me look much more professional to my clients and keeps everything secure. Between the automated reminders and the easy document sharing, it feels like I hired a virtual assistant for a fraction of the cost.
Pros: The Solo Plan is an ideal solution for a single-person practice like mine. It fits my budget perfectly without sacrificing functionality. It provides everything I need, including secure document sharing, a dedicated client portal, and helpful automation features.
Cons: would have liked e-sginature in the solo plan but this is not a dealbreaker. the price is cheap enough that it is a win/win if i want to have a client portal.

Overall, Financial Cents has been a positive addition to our workflow. It improves organization, supports better deadline management, and helps streamline day-to-day operations within the firm.
Pros: Financial Cents helps keep client work organized and provides clear visibility into tasks and deadlines. It is well suited for tax and accounting firms and helps reduce the risk of items being missed during busy periods.
Cons: Client reminders are sent from a Financial Cents email address rather than directly from the firm’s email, which can occasionally be confusing for clients.
Aaron S. · CPA · Accounting · December 17, 2025
Pros: Financial Cents allows us as a firm to be more organized. We can take more time to actually help clients, instead of having to worry about running everything. With the integrations that are possible with Financial Cents, we are able to keep everything moving forward. It is very easy for projects to switch between team members if something were to happen. If a team member is sick, another team member can still offer the clients a good client experience because of the team/client task keeping everyone in order.
Cons: As a firm, we are looking into offering more bilingual services. This causes an issue with Financial Cents because the client portal isn't able to be set to a different language. This will complicate the client experience for Spanish speakers. We have talked to the customer service department, and it looks like this service is already in the roadmap for the future.

It's been great overall! It's so powerful, that you have to "step" into it. I'm looking forward to exploring it's higher features.
Pros: I helps me to schedule my workload, to see my upcoming deadlines, and keep notes if I have to ask my client anything.
Cons: I can't think of anything that I dislike! I'm only using the basic features at this time. I'm looking to learn more and upgrade to the higher version.
Julie T. · Accountant, Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor · Accounting · December 2, 2025
Would recommend - did the trial and used it enough that I had to get the subscription. It was an easy way to store client information in one place without creating extra spreadsheets, files, or systems to be able to securely keep myself organized.
Pros: The program makes an easy to use CRM system for my clients to be able to store their files, easily access information, compile notes, create to do lists, and share files between clients and myself securely.
Cons: I don't need all the functionality on here so it is a bit pricey but the functions I do use have been worth it to keep organized.
Alexis J. · Tax Strategist · Accounting · December 2, 2025
I am still a new user and we have not fully implemented for our whole team yet, but I see how much this system will change the game for us in terms of productivity and effective communication.
Pros: Very user friendly platform, client import is seamless, and appreciate the options for automations on the project templates, and access to other users templates to get ideas. Our rep has also been very helpful so far.
Cons: It would be better if there was an app or better way to receive and make updates via phone instead of just on the internet browser. I also would like a file system that allowed viewing of files outside of just PDFs within the system without having to download.
Megan C. · Principal Owner · Accounting · October 31, 2025
Overall, I think Financial Cents is a great piece of software to help small businesses manage clients, workflow, team work and gave clarity over where work was up to.
Pros: Loved the inbox feature, I think this would have helped with productivity. I loved how the clients were set up and connected and how the jobs against clients gave clarity over the workflow
Cons: Cost. It was just too expensive for a small practice. There really wasn’t anything else I didn’t like
Penny M. · BAS Agent Bookkeeper · Accounting · October 29, 2025
Now, every team member can see their tasks, track progress, and manage client work efficiently. Everything—emails, notes, files—is centralized under each client, which saves us a ton of time and back-and-forth. I especially appreciate the visibility into our month-end close process and review statuses. As the firm owner, I no longer feel like I have to juggle everything—my team can collaborate, leave notes, and request help in real time. The customer service and training are great, too! Overall, Financial Cents has streamlined our operations and improved team accountability. My only regret is not making the switch sooner.
Pros: We’re a small accounting firm of five, and after trying several project management tools, we found Financial Cents to be a game-changer. Unlike generic platforms, it’s clearly designed with accountants in mind. The way projects are structured mirrors our actual workflow, which made onboarding fast and intuitive.
Cons: The system isn’t the cheapest option out there, but the value it delivers is absolutely worth the cost. For the time and headaches it saves us, it more than pays for itself.
Frances J. · CEO · Accounting · October 16, 2025
helps solve the problem of disorganized workflows and missed deadlines by centralizing all client tasks, communications, and timelines in one place
Pros: its simplicity and organization - it makes tracking client work, deadlines, and team progress effortless, all in one clear and easy-to-navigate platform
Cons: What I dislike about Financial Cents is that some features, like reporting and customization options, can feel limited compared to larger practice management tools, and occasional syncing delays can slow down workflow updates.
Anonymous User · Accountant · Accounting · October 8, 2025
I love Financial Cents and I use it every day. The features of FC have checked almost all of the boxes that I need to run my business, and with the ability to integrate the platform with Zappier, I think I can check the rest of the boxes!
Pros: QBO integration and client tasks reminders are a game changer! I love the dashboard and the email and calendar integration is a huge help. I have Financial Cents as the home page on my Google Workspace account so I know exactly where to start my day.
Cons: I wish that Financial Cents had more marketing and client relationship management capabilities. I have come to depend on it so much that I don't want to have to add another platform to my tech stack for CRM.
Richard R. · Accountant owner · Accounting · October 2, 2025
It's been a great product; easy to implement and get my users on board using it. I still need to get everyone to link their emails, but baby steps.
Pros: It's easy to use, great for tracking project status, and it's nice to be able to link emails to specific projects for collaboration.
Cons: I wish they would focus on making the project management portion perfect before adding new features like invoicing and proposals.
Eden W. · Senior Accountant · Accounting · September 30, 2025
The overall experience has been very positive. I wish I had found this last year rather then go through other options that didn't work.
Pros: The template provided are great to start and easy to modify for each client. It allows for project collaboration and document. Customer support has been extremely responsive, and while simple to use there are many features that make the process easier.
Cons: It's pricey but it's working better then I expected and after only a few weeks my team is way more organized.
Bridget S. · Bookeeper · Financial Services · September 27, 2025
Overall, Financial Cents has been much better for us than any of the other software programs we have tried for task management and time tracking. We do not currently use the billing side but everything looks pretty easy, and hopefully someday they'll have a real app that works as good as the website.
Pros: Financial Cents is very easy to use, everyone in our firm was able to figure out what they need. The reporting contains everything we need and is easy to access. The templates are great, and its also very easy to customize whatever we need. The different pipeline views are helpful as we can each customize it to what works best for us so nothing slips thru the cracks. The time tracking ability to have multiple timers that you can switch between and add notes as you're working is also very helpful. The client task reminders and upload portal are great and intuitive for our clients.
Cons: Using Financial Cents on a mobile device is not nearly as nice as using it on a computer. Accessing client uploads is not intuitive on our end, and the client chat does not always notify us or the client, especially if a project is already closed.
