My overall experience with LEAi has been very good! I work with detailed, science-heavy content, so I need more than a basic course builder. What has been especially helpful is being able to upload resources I already have and use those to build and organize a course. I also like that I can use some of the tools on their own, to build parts of projects. The interactive features have helped me break up dense material in a way that it easier for learners to process. It is still a newer platform, so some areas are still developing, but the team is very responsive and they are continuing to develop it, add features, etc.
Pros: I liked that it helped me take dense, science-heavy material and turn it into something more interactive and easier for learners to move through. I also found it helpful to be able to upload existing resources (written material, videos, slides, transcripts) and use the headings to organize the course structure. That gave me more control over where the information went and made the development process much more efficient. I also appreciate that the translation feature is built in and easy to use. Another strength is flexibility. I can use LEAi to build a course, but I can also use different features for isolated projects - i.e., pulling a transcript from a video and then building from that. The team is also very responsive, with quick moving and ongoing innovation.
Cons: LEAi is still a newer platform, so some areas are still evolving. Other course platforms also offer interactive features, so that part is not completely unique. Depending on your workflow, some more established systems may feel more polished in certain areas - but LEAi is very strong when it comes to responsiveness, innovation, and the ability to work from existing source materials in a way that allows me control of the organization.

My experience has been good, overall, because we need to deliver courses within a short period of time, and LEAi excels at meeting those requirements.
Pros: Simplicity is a tool that anyone can use, even without prior experience. It is highly intuitive and easy to navigate.
Cons: It does not have AI assistance for creating images or videos, and the tool requires additional apps or resources to produce higher-quality courses.

Pros: It's ease of use. It's very intuitive and helpful. LEAi has genuinely helped to automamize big part of my work, and like that I can focus on other things to make my content better (research etc.), I mostly use it to go from video tutorial to an actual lesson. It's amazing.
Cons: I guess the fact that I can't change a bunch of files in bulk. Like if I wanna rephrase them with a specific prompt I need to go through each.

It helps with creating Digital Learning, offering great suggestions for interactivity, etc. At the end of the day, it saves time 👍
Pros: Ease of use, helpful suggestions & helps you develop learning quicker. It's an excellent tool for IDs to have in their toolbox.
Cons: Nothing, it's a SaaS product, which is good, but being SaaS, there are always potential browser refresh issues.

Fantastic. Great crew doing amazing working combining proven expertise with the power of generative AI.
Pros: Outstanding customer support. Our quarterly check-ins are always insightful and great to see progress on recommendations for improvement go from roadmap to implemented.
Cons: Would love more styles / branding options for templates or options to export to authoring tools that have more creative design elements.

Overall, LEAi is a big help for content creation. It makes learning design work faster and easier. We can make question banks in a short time. Creating content from a webinar or a video is also very easy. It can quickly turn a video demonstration into a course without the need to make long notes or prepare manually. That said LEAi can be a game changer to all the Learning Experience Designers out there with high quality and efficiency.
Pros: The best thing about LEAi is its Generative AI. It works very smoothly with our inputs and gives us quality content in very little time. The drafting is so powerful that it helps to get content ready and complete without much struggle. One of the key highlight for our use cases is that it can create relevant examination questions in just a few seconds, which saves us a lot of effort. The Support team is helpful in solving our issues though they take some time but still they give useful solutions for our use cases. And finally integrating Synthesia videos is very easy. We don’t have to do heavy editing or spend time on embedding but there are some small limitations when integrating SCORM packages to external LMS like SkillJAR.
Cons: The biggest area for improvement is the user interface, as it it lacks the design sophistication and variety of customization options that content creators often need. Both text and image formatting options are limited, and not so easy. So there should be more options for design and customization. Published courses also look simple, not that much enriching when published via external LMS. And above all else is the Cost. The pricing for extra/additional user license is steep, to the point where we had to scale back and limit access to specific team members.

LEAi was applying AI well before the rest of the industry, and is out in front as a leader in innovation and completeness of vision. It executes, it is fast, accurate and dependable. I could easily create a course by attaching content from various formats, and then turn around in LEAi and build a legally defensible, professional certification exam using that content as a reference, reducing the exam development cycle time.
Pros: The ease of use, the efficiency of the product and the depth of features. It revolutionizes course development. In addition, the module that help build certifications is cutting edge technology for the industry. As certification leader having overseen 100s of exams, the quality of the exam blueprint and items created will greatly reduce exam development time, and save cost. Working with the quality and industry depth of the staff at LearnExperts gives me complete confidence in the solution. Their support and responsiveness is unmatched.
Cons: I'm being extra picky from the certification side. The exam item development module needs some tweaks, which I know will be implemented. When I last used it, single-option multiple choice was limited to one answer. I'd like to see 2 out of 4, or 3 out of 5 as options. I'm sure that will be addressed.

I tested LEAi with several use cases, including: transcript generation, course rewrites, and assessments. Overall, I was pleased with the results and as an Instructional Designer felt the tool had good value.
Pros: I love how LEAi can rewrite content. I also found that the generate features were incredibly useful. Learning objectives, demonstrations, exercises, and assessments can all be created on the fly and really save a good bit of time.
Cons: Some front-end work is required, and the tool works best when you have a storyboard already created (ideally in word).

LearnExperts and the LEAi platform have been a major benefit to our organization's productivity and efficiency. We feel like we have a true partner in them and know that if we have a problem we need to solve, or a way to make their tool better, they want to hear from us and will, more often than not, find a way to incorporate that input into a future release.
Pros: This tool is a game changer for any organization that has been asked to do more without the benefit of bringing on new courseware developers. LEAi won't replace the talent that already is on staff, but it can automate many of the processes that are normally part of the process of courseware design. We've been able to upload documents, PowerPoint files, and video-based content directly into LEAi and it parses out the information and turns it into the first draft of an eLearning module. Is that first draft ready to be published? Not necessarily, but it saves your SMEs from having to reformat/rewrite the content to adhere to best practices for courseware development. The SMEs get to focus on the accuracy of the content instead of the transcription work. We've recognized hundreds of hours of development time saved as a result of the features LEAi offers.
Cons: The only negative there is right now is that this is still an emerging technology. Thus, some of the features that you might find in some of LEAi's non-GenAI competitors aren't there yet, but based on how fast they've been deploying new releases, I think that gap will close very quickly.

Having a background in content development makes the learning curve less time-consuming. If you are just starting out, you need to know what you are trying to develop, before trying to apply all the features of LEAi. This tool is great for experienced developers - but will also improve the development cycle for new developers getting up to speed. Supporting videos and documentation are very helpful. If you are unsure of a feature, Support is right there to help.
Pros: You can pull content in easily, then re-organize that same content into learning content. The fact you can use so many types of media makes the development that much quicker. Once you get familiar (takes a few short weeks to get 80% efficient) your development goes much quicker. Like any other tool: build up your use of the features, to create richer content in better organized and consistent formats.
Cons: Not sure if this is a dislike, but the fact the tool is so rich (and getting richer all the time, with respect to features and functionality) it is deep enough to warrant the extra time spent learning/applying all the features. Every DEV cycle brings more awareness to what you have at your disposal.

It was a smoother learning curve and relatively quick transition to start using LEAi compared to other tools. There are obviously some features that are vary when looking at course authoring tools and one is not going to work for every application but LEAi allows us to leverage the expertise of our team and maximize our capacity to bring great content to our students.
Pros: I like that LEAi utilizes educational expertise to create a product that helps guide content creation in following best practices. It saves so much time in the ease of uploading and editing existing content, reusing content created in LEAi, and rewriting content to fit a new audience or experience level.
Cons: Sometimes there are limitations of the tool like which video services are supported for embedding but these are constantly changing and expanding.
Hannah R. · Content Development Manager · Computer & Network Security · July 15, 2024
LEAi let us scale more efficiently in our consulting team and focus on billing rather than constantly trying to keep up with product releases and maintaining training content.
Pros: I loved that we didn't need to hire a trainer, with our internal enablement slides and documents we could quickly pull together well structured content to use internally as well as with customers. Game changer!
Cons: In the earliest days there were a few document formats that weren't supported, but that's since been added. We were a VERY early adopter.
Rachel B. · VP Service Delivery · Information Technology and Services · July 15, 2024
I use LEAi to optimize the content development process for our customer and partner courses. It especially helps with the early stages of the content development process. If we consider the ADDIE framework - LEAi helps with the Design, and Development phases.
Pros: I can reuse videos recorded by subject matter experts, which is a huge benefit. Before LEAi, we would take hours or days to review and extract information from videos to get the content we needed to create a piece of content. That’s usually stuff buried deep in documentation or someone’s brain. LEAi helps to surface this information quickly and easily. We now have an efficient and streamlined method of transcribing videos that can be used to create eLearning, PowerPoint slides, or other formats.
Cons: Currently it’s a bit light on integrations such as LMSs, but they’re working to improve this.

Overall, I was pleased with my experience with LEAi, and I would recommend it if you are in the business of eLearning.
Pros: My favorite part about LEAi was the writing software and intelligence. This really did make writing much easier. One thing in particular it does is auto-generate the content for you if you use the headings based approach. If you want more control, you could write the content yourself, and afterward, have the software re-write or rephrase the words you used for content.
Cons: Sometimes the program could be a little finicky. What I mean is say you want to do certain things with a table, or get specific spacing between sections, it would be a process of trial and error of testing it out to see if it looks how you want. I always wished it would be more intuitive and do what I wanted from the very beginning.
Randall T. · Instructional Designer · Writing and Editing · June 21, 2024
Pros: The features I love most about LEAi are the ones that really provide me with time savings: generative AI features that rewrite content and create test questions, the ability to upload various sources of content to use for a single course, the ability to create one course and then export it in a variety of formats so I can use it for different purposes to name the top few. The product really focuses on how to save me time, and being able to deliver faster learning to my audiences is critical!
Cons: I think as with using any new tool I was hesitant to deviate from the apps I've used for development in the past as there will always be some time where you feel less productive than you did with what you are used to. However, the time to get comfortable with LEAi wasn't long as it is user friendly, so no real big cons for me.
Taunya M. · Learning Consultant · Computer Software · February 28, 2024
The LEAi team was extremely accommodating, collaborative, and open to customer feedback. We appreciate you!
Pros: LEAi helped me speed up several parts of the end-to-end course development process. For example, their Test Questions feature provided a great starting point for writing quizzes for my courses!
Cons: Some course development features are still missing in LEAi; however, their team is working fast to make these fixes.
Katja K. · Learning Experience Designer · Computer Software · February 28, 2024
Pros: The ability to take webinars and internal training and quickly convert them to eLearning has been a huge time saver.
Cons: I wish the images would transfer in and out easier
Debbie S. · Sr Director Visier University · Human Resources · February 28, 2024
My team was assessing multiple AI products to evaluate if any of them could improve our course development time. While my role was limited to mostly attending product demos, my team that was assessing LEAi with their trial version were thrilled that it’s an AI product tailored to course development. They found it easy to use, and customer support was always willing to go above and beyond in answering our questions or hopping on Zoom to show us how to do something within LEAi.
Pros: It was built with education in mind, and so provides what an instructional designer needs. I liked that it can create objectives, annd identify when active voice isn’t being used. I felt that it’s ability to parse content and create realistic, relevant assessment questions could save us a lot of time.
Cons: As is typical with any new and emerging product, some features and functionality do not yet exist. There does seem to be a well thought out roadmap though, so I’m sure each release will be packed with product expansions. I look forward to it being able to parse audio for content and turn it to text.

Our experience has been good so far. It is very neat to see a tool that allows for the user to aggregate content from different sources into one spot. Usually this process takes a lot of team, but LEAi enables teams to quickly do this and focus on development.
Pros: LEAi is a great tool that consolidates many different sources of information into one, linear development tool.
Cons: Consolidation of similar topics into one place would be helpful, but the team is working on developing features that will help with this.
Stephen P. · Sr. Manager Courseware Development · Mechanical or Industrial Engineering · August 28, 2023
Pros: AI recommendations and ability to create courses faster and the ability to create test questions.
Cons: We use Google docs and it would be great if it also integrates with Google docs instead of Word
Lizann D. · Senior Instructional Designer · Computer Software · August 25, 2023
We have been struggling to produce training in alignment with software updates. We're generally 9 months behind. LEAi can accelerate our course development life cycle and make a huge difference. And the support from LearnExperts is top notch. And the tool is constantly being developed! I have no doubt it will be the industry standard one day.
Pros: My favourite feature was using a tool that understood instructional design. Wow - it knew that I needed learning objectives? It knew about demonstrations and exercises? Active vs passive voice? LEAi's ability to anticipate what I need in my design is stellar! And lets not forget the assessment questions. It takes time to write those and to create plausible distractors on the multiple choice questions. LEAi does it in seconds!
Cons: Nothing really - it's constantly being developed and is already miles ahead from what we do in Microsoft Word.
Kelly T. · Curriculum Development Manager · Information Technology and Services · August 23, 2023
Pros: Loved the usability, the opportunity to create learning content from existing content (saving an incredible amount of time!), and of course the team is SO responsive to feedback with frequent enhancements!
Cons: Just some of the features they haven't developed yet due to being relatively new when I tested them - but I expect this to be a killer end-to-end learning solution soon!
Mario D. · Sr. Director, Products · Computer & Network Security · July 11, 2023
Pros: LEAi helped me create a many courses while working at Wisely. The importing and AI tools quickly gave me a organized template and layout for my course. The placeholders helped to ensure I didn't miss critical course materials. Their team at LearnExperts were also a fabulous support throughout each course I developed, providing suggestions for overall course improvement.
Cons: LEAis has improved since it launched, and continual development will help make it a super course builder.
Anna T. · Account Manager · Computer Software · June 28, 2023
Very good! I found it easy to adapt to and extremely helpful.
Pros: I enjoyed the reduction in effort for the creation of test questions, learning objectives and exercises. I also was impressed by the grammatical suggestions and capabilities to reword or "clean up" confusing text.
Cons: The editor is just a bit buggy and could stand for a bit of improvement.
Heather R. · Content Development · Computer Software · June 26, 2023
This product has improved quite a bit over the past couple of years and and this rate it will be a very good contender for using AI to help create learning materials! I am excited to see the future of LEAi.
Pros: I like the suggestions and the creation of test questions very useful. Test questions do need to be cleaned up as more than one answer can be technically correct but LEAi has come a long way.
Cons: I sometimes find the web authoring interface a bit slow but this has improved over the years. A 'fat client' may be quicker. Some of the editing features are limited when comparing to publishing tools like Adobe FrameMaker.
