Admin By Request

Pros: Easy to use and add new apps into the dashboard. Giving users admin rights has been very easy. Apple watch and mobile app have been great.

Cons: Little hard at first to setup but support was very helpful once going. After that it's very easy to use

Pros: Really impressed with how easy the platform is to use and deploy. It’s straightforward for users to get started without needing much technical support. The customer service team has been quick to respond to any issues, and they genuinely listen to feedback to help improve the experience

Cons: There is currently nothing I don't like with Admin by request, as it does what it says on the tin and just works

Pros: L’outil offre une grande autonomie aux utilisateurs pour élever leurs privilèges. Il permet également de disposer rapidement d’un compte break glass et de supprimer facilement les droits administrateurs locaux.

Cons: Certaines actions exigent toujours la saisie des identifiants et du mot de passe de la session locale. Si la demande de session administrateur n’a pas été faite en amont, l’action échoue et doit être recommencée.

Pros: Guter Support, sehr schnell ausgerollt, funktioniert und erleichtert das Management bei erhöhter Sicherheit - möchte es nicht mehr missen!

Cons: MPS Plattform: Inhaber (Reseller) müsste in der App (wie es im web ja ist) auf alle seine Kunden direkt Zugrif haben.

Pros: Ease of Use, Works, Customer Support. Everything is very straight forward and well organized. Things work as intended. Customer support is prompt and very knowledgeable

Cons: Could be slightly better on the Mac end, but they are working on it. Currently Mac does not allow teh remote access feature as part of the product, but I know its on their roadmap

Pros: That I have more control over what is being installed and by whom. Provides good protection against unwanted software, as my approval as admin is required before a program is allowed to run.

Cons: Some programs are difficult to pre-approve, so you get interrupted with a request for approval. Fortunately, it is easy to approve.

Pros: What I have appreciated most about Admin By Request is their fast and responsive service, as well as the user-friendly product that works straight out of the box. We found it very easy to get started, and since we implemented it two years ago, we haven’t experienced any issues. It’s reassuring to know that the system just works, and that support is always quick to assist if any questions arise.

Cons: The only area that could be improved is keeping the guides up to date, but that’s a minor point.... :)

Pros: My company has used Admin By Request for several years and it works perfectly. Using this tool we can in a simple and easy way control our users admin access to Windows devices. Another great feature is the audit log of device changes. Furthermore, we can group our users - e.g. our developers can run specific programs pre-approved. We also use ABR on our Windows servers which is great for auditing. The license price is very fair. The communication with the ABR team has been very pleasant.

Cons: No real problems. The helpdesk could be a bit faster. Adding extra licenses could be easier and more smooth.

Pros: Admin By Request offered non-profit discounts that helped make the purchase affordable. It was also very easy to set up from the admin side and implement using InTune

Cons: Admin By Request and Teamviewer QuickSupport are sometimes at odds because of UAC prompts popping up that Teamviewer QS can't see when working with a remote user.

Cons: Not to schedule application updates to users. Slow roll out. Request are getting stucked No log entries.

Pros: Simpel und gut umzusetzen, vergleichsweise schneller support und kundennähe ist extrem gut. Die Response ist sehr schnell und einfach und alles ist extrem gut konfigurierbar.

Cons: leider wären einige granularere Einstellungen sinnvoll die es by default nicht gibt, aber es ist stets möglich mit dem Hersteller zu sprechen und ggf. neue Features zu bekommen.

Pros: Das Produkt ist sehr flexibel einsatzbar und hilft ungemein das Problem privilegierter Accounts auf Rechnern einzuschränken.

Cons: die Funktion Support Assist funktioniert manchmal nicht einwandfrei, so dass hindert vor allem dem First Level Support an ihrer Tätigkeit.

Pros: Intuitiv für Admin und Endbenutzer, einfach einzurichten und zu implementieren. Gute Nutzerakzeptanz.

Cons: eigentlich nichts. Teilweise ist es schwierig bestimmte Systemanwendungen über "Run as" zu steuern, aber für weitergehende administrative Tätigkeiten kann man sich über den "Emergency account" behelfen.

Pros: Easy of use both for the end user and the administration, with tools to both prevent and investigation for in wanted software.

Cons: There are times where Admin by request does have some limitations and can't finish the job. Have had windows recovery freeze after requesting admin access.

Pros: No local Admins on Windows clients and Macs is a big big improvement in the security. Removing the permanent admin rights for IT guys reduced at the same time the attack surface of our clients.

Cons: Personally I have no complains, however it takes you a lot of communication in the company to convince IT administrator, that they have to request admin privileges and not getting them permanently.

Cons: Ältere Anwendungen die subprozesse starten, funktionieren nicht immer reibungslos mit Admin by Request.

Pros: Admin by Request is very user friendly and solved a big pain for us in IT. The price structure is fair and we do get a fine value for our money. The onboarding and introduction to the software was great, and if we need help, the support team are ready to answer our questions.

Cons: It is hard to find any cons. The software deliver what it promises and is quickly accepted by most of our users.

Pros: Easy to use for both users and administrators. We find Admin by Request as a very usefull product...

Cons: Sometimes I would like a little more details about what the user have done in the period he/she has been elevated.

Pros: Intuitive interface and straightforward deployment. Pricing is reasonable. End users and IT teams alike appreciate the non-disruptive nature of the solution.

Cons: Slow response times for privilege elevation requests or automated workflows are a frequent point of criticism due to lack of automation and off line keys do not work bricking the machine.

Pros: It gave us security control of our fleet and allows us to be sure that our images and SOE stays as it should.

Cons: It is not invoked 100% of the time that we require it. There have been instances such as when a user attempts to install an app from the MacOS App Store, where it prompts for a local administrator username and password as normal rather than opening ABR

Pros: The fact that we can use it offline fits perfectly with some of our use cases

Cons: It doesn't detect automatically every UAC pop-up. For example, if I click on an executable that requires admin rigths, it just prompts me with the UAC and I need to click "Run as Admin" specifically for ABR to be triggered.

Pros: Admin By Request has allowed us to seamlessly implement Privileged Endpoint Management capabilities Just-In-Time leveraging our identity provider at a fair cost.

Cons: I don't have anything bad to say about Admin By Request.

Pros: I can actively monitor a deployment of computers used for our ESports computer labs, enable updating of game clients, whitelist specific applications needed and inventory our computers, all from my desk.

Cons: The mobile app while useful seems to be buggy and sometimes an afterthought. Requests get stuck when approved from a push notification, and sometimes the app requires closing to refresh the queue.
