It has been very easy to work with, and Edwar has been speedy and great at helping my team move the timeline and phases into production.
Pros: I like that it's easy to use and make changes. Often times, the user experience on the back end can be confusing and I would need to get support. With this platform, the directions and guidelines are clear and I feel sufficient enough to make changes myself.
Cons: Sometimes it can get confusing trying to look up someone's account and assign them to a specific group. Also, it would be nice to look up a user account's past award cycle grouping.

Always available 24/7 and open for improving the business processes. Able to make adjustments in real time.
Pros: - Customer Service - User Friendly - Constantly improving processes - Experienced - Response time
Cons: Committee review and ranking could be more user friendly but the company is always finding ways to improve the process.

Pros: Value for money - for sure! Ease of use - absolutely! Great client support -- RQ platform makes my fellowship selection process so easy.
Cons: I'm still running into issues with reports, and specifically with the scoring report. It's never correct the first or second time.

If I didn't handle a program that is focused on accessibility, I would say overall positive, but the accessibility functionality and the time it takes to test/retest multiple times because the code is not set up to be accessible is time consuming and detracts a few points for me.
Pros: It is very handy to have a an application that allows the ability to pull multiple reports and assign applications for review. Also, [sensitive content hidden] is by far the best liaison I have worked with. He is always responsive, helpful and helps to keep things on track. He deserves a promotion!
Cons: The platform is not very accessible (color contrast, links, tabbing functionality, screen reader capability). Also, the email function is tricky, pasting text adds in formatting that can't be reversed for admin. Also, the report feature cuts off the question, so analyzing can be difficult/impossible for some areas.

I really appreciated working with [sensitive content hidden]. She was responsive, thoughtful, and consistently able to turn around projects on very short notice, which made a big difference for us. Given the tight timelines many grant applications require, it would be helpful to include a final quality check on drafts (e.g., spelling errors not in the client’s original text or duplicate questions) to help minimize unnecessary back-and-forth. That added layer of review would further strengthen the overall value of the service.
Pros: Responsive and friendly customer support. Also, having everything all in one place when it comes time for assessors to review the applications is a big improvement from the platform we were working with before.
Cons: There are a few limitations that are somewhat of an inconvenience for us. For example, applicants only being able to see all of their previously submitted applications in the portal or none. We would like applicants to be able to access their last submitted application (from the previous year) but not provide access to applications beyond that. The reason is that we have many applicants reaching out for attachments that were submitted in their applications and it would be much easier for us if they could access it themselves.

Overall, I like the RQ Platform. Again, it is pretty user friendly once you get used to it. The support library is helpful majority of the time.
Pros: Pretty user friendly. Here's what I like about the RQ Platform: Easy to find submissions, adding reviewers and sending out emails to winners. The Program Dashboard helps with retrieving quick numbers, if need be, Submission tab helps with finding applications easily and assigning and removing reviewers is a breeze.
Cons: I can't seem to find a way to assign applications evenly to reviewers, but I'm glad that there is my contact Sanket Parab who can help me out with that.

My overall experience with RQ Platform has been highly positive, transforming how we manage fellowship and mentorship programs at KEMRI. It streamlined our application intake, reviewer assignments, and compliance tracking with customizable forms and intuitive dashboards, saving significant time during peak cycles.
Pros: RQ Platform excels at streamlining fellowship and mentorship program management, making it ideal for research coordinators like those at KEMRI. I appreciated most its customizable forms with conditional logic and e-reference capabilities, which perfectly handled our complex application workflows for health research fellowships
Cons: The platform has not yet adopted AI to screen applications. This is disadvantageous for numerous applications.

Even when I came to the team with ideas or concepts that weren't yet clear on how to implement them, they translated those ideas into practical, functional solutions within the platform.
Pros: Customer service has been outstanding, and the team has been very responsive and knowledgeable. The ability to customize applications, reviewer rubrics, and scoring criteria allowed us to align the platform closely with our program’s goals and evaluation standards. In addition, the reviewer interface is intuitive, making it easy for volunteers to navigate and complete reviews efficiently.
Cons: Some advanced features and customization options can take time to fully learn, especially for first-time administrators. RQ platform is that it does not currently offer some advanced capabilities we would find helpful, such as an AI-based sifting or pre-screening tool to analyze applications and further narrow down top candidates. While the platform is strong in structured reviews and scoring, having built-in AI support for initial filtering could further streamline the evaluation process for large applicant pools.

From the moment we signed up to use the RQ platform, our experieince has been phenomenal with the RQ team. [sensitive content hidden] is so attentive and supportive, even there is a time difference (UK > Canada), we still get timely responses and any issues/queries are resolved. For years, we have hope to launch our awards cycle in October, but we have never managed to, until our first year with RQ. it has simiplied the amount of manual admin work we have had to do, and has given us great insight into our entrants.
Pros: The RQ platform has transformed the way in which we run our awards. It has simiplified our process for in house team and also for our entrants. Our entrants have found it so easy to use and having the option to have draft submissions on the site very beneficial. The customer support team are incredible at resolving any issues in a timely manner.
Cons: I do not think there are any parts of the platform that we dislike. It does take some time to get used to sorting the reviews phases out.
Lid G. · Senior Events Coordinator · Non-Profit Organization Management · January 29, 2026
Pros: The platform is user-friendly and visually appealing. Also, the review process has been more efficient and easier to navigate compared to our last platform. Additionally, the customer support has been excellent. The quick response time and ability to implement changes efficiently have been extremely beneficial. It's also a great value for the price.
Cons: I don't like the size of the dialog box within the platform. It would be great if there was an option to make it bigger or full size so I could see more applications on the screen at one time. Also, having the use of a comma in the funding module would be great. Lastly, there are some functions and capabilities the platform can consider implementing or improving. For example, the capability to add images as attachments in scheduled emails.

To date, I am very pleased with the platform. [sensitive content hidden] has been a great --- willing to get on a call at any time and always looking for ways to improve the experience for the end user.
Pros: User Friendly. Most stuff is at our fingertips. The application process has been easy for recipients. Our advisory committee loves the review process - it guides them through the application and scoring section, side by side.
Cons: Seems like grant recipients struggle with uploading documents on the grant acceptance form. Most of them have a jpg document and it only accepts pdf.
Alyce J. · Admin · Non-Profit Organization Management · January 24, 2026
The team could have been more helpful during our calls; though some of us had used the platform before, there was no helpful guidance, leaving the team to figure it out by ourselves. [sensitive content hidden] was the most helpful on the team. But when giving out edits, I clearly outlined (this text here) - directional text, but that text was applied to the application when it was just for their team to understand and make sure we were on the same page. The same things that If they read if they would have understood. It just made more work and frustration for my team.
Pros: The ease of the application. Dock is helpful to upload feedback, documents, and changes. However, in our kickoff call they didn't mention dock. I had to ask about it, as I was trying to remember how we did it from the previous year.
Cons: That each of the scholarships have to be under the same program on the drop down. Having those seperated would make for a better experience in my opionion, but the product overall is pretty nice.
Kaitlyn M. · Marketing Operations Coordinator · Banking · January 23, 2026
It has been very personal. The staff always greet our team by name, they give us helpful tips and tricks to use while working in RQ, and it is evident they genuinely care about their product and the client/user experience!
Pros: I like the personal relationship you build with the folks building your site! [sensitive content hidden] is FABULOUS and I know that I could call on her to help me with any technical or branding changes.
Cons: It was a bit of a journey to pull a usable report at first. We stayed the course with [sensitive content hidden] help. RQ just rolled out some new report updates, so I am excited to see how quickly the issue was fixed! That's the thing: they hear you and they fix it!

My overall experience has been wonderful! The platform is easy to navigate, the customer services is amazing
Pros: I love that we can customize just about anything we want on our program pages and the platform is easy for our visitors to navigate.
Cons: I wish we could pull data from applications quickly without running a report and it would be nice if we had a bit more control over editing the information on the program pages.

A Great experience for our entire team- we have had a very good experience since we have been using the tool.
Pros: Ease of use - it’s very intuitive for all involved- the sponsor, our committee members and our student applicants.
Cons: Not Applicable- we appreciate everything about the RQ tool and are considering it for another project.

Overall, our experience with RQ Platform has been excellent. I was directly involved in bringing it to ECCLA, and it’s made a huge difference in how we operate our scholarship and grant programs. It’s cut down on manual work, increased efficiency, and allowed us to better serve our applicants. The system is robust, adaptable, and has become a critical part of our workflow. We’ve also seen real cost and time savings, which is so important in our nonprofit setting.
Pros: The RQ Platform has significantly streamlined our scholarship and grant programs. It’s easy to use, highly customizable, and has saved us substantial time and resources. The platform allows us to manage everything—from application intake to review and follow-up—in one place, which has improved both our internal workflows and the experience for applicants. Customer support has also been very responsive and helpful whenever we've had questions or needed changes.
Cons: There have been occasional system bugs, particularly related to page load speeds. At one point, we had to redesign our welcome page to avoid lag and ensure smooth navigation for users. That said, the RhythmQ team was very responsive and worked with us to address these issues, and we’ve seen improvements since.

Pros: The platform has a lot of intricate fields and dynamics while being very user friendly. The overall structure of how applications are created, formed, and processed makes reviewing applications for constituents much easier. The automatic email generation system, tagging and filtering systems help us properly stay in touch and identify applicant's place in the scholarship process.
Cons: There can be glitches in the admin reporting process, leading to gathering data later than needed. This problem is mainly offset with a very quick response time from the RQ tech team which work hard to run reports when I am not able. Also, the PDF package feature has some bugs, and we unfortunately can't use that.

From the moment I met with the team at RQ I felt like it was the right place for our organization. Not only did they work with us on our budget, but they provided great tips for optimizing our scholarship and annual awards process. Once again, the customer service is unmatched. I had used previous platforms where you only talk to a chat bot and couldn't ever meet with someone face to face but this is not the case with RQ!
Pros: Ease of use. Extremely supportive customer support. Both the reviewer and the applicant are able to access their information easily without watching a tutorial. It is extremely intuitive.
Cons: Only issue is not even with RQ itself, but the AMS system we use not being smart enough to connect with outside vendors as intuitively. Despite this, the RQ team was able to find alternatives to the issue.
Abby S. · Senior Membership and Components Manager · Non-Profit Organization Management · June 23, 2025
It is so much easier to have applications submitted online. We used a google form previously and had to manually download the information and photocopy the applications for the volunteers making selections for our scholarship.
Pros: The customer support was second to none. Our project manager helped set up our form as well as the reports and review form. We were able to see the applicants who met the criteria easily and then make our selection.
Cons: It took a little more training for me but I'm not the most tech savvy person. Once I became familiar with everything, it was quite easy to manage.
John A. · President · Non-Profit Organization Management · May 5, 2025
Pros: The RQ staff is very responsive and provides solutions quickly. The platform is easy to navigate once it becomes familiar.
Cons: The platform is not intuitive and there is still not a usable database.
Michelle B. · Director, Psychological Services · Mental Health Care · February 23, 2024
My overall experience has been good. RQ offers great customer service!
Pros: Easy to learn and the functions available for managing programs.
Cons: The reporting feature is a little "clunky."
Shanita A. · Programs and Operations Manager · Veterinary · February 22, 2024
Overall pleased and helps ease administrative burden on small staff working with volunteers.
Pros: Very customizable set up -they worked to provide a cost efficient set up for our needs. The customer service far exceeds my expectations. Quick and extremely helpful responses. You can tell that they prioritize helping their clients succeed.
Cons: Not the slickest interface and takes a bit of time to understand how it works. Some of the functionality (follow up) is not included in our initial set up but at an additional cost.
Julia M. · Director of Communications · Civic & Social Organization · February 13, 2024
Our overall experience with RQ Awards has been positive.
Pros: The RQ team is responsive and highly skilled. They are open to partnering and collaborating to meet our needs for multiple functions/applications.
Cons: One project has taken a significant amount of time however the RQ team has stayed in contact with us throughout the process.
Janice H. · Head, Leadership Development Institute · Non-Profit Organization Management · January 22, 2024
It has been a great experience thus far. From working with the RQ team to design, deploy, and provide on-going support as needed, we have been pleased with the partnership and platform thus far.
Pros: RQ has the most supportive and professional staff of any company I've ever engaged with. They are customer-focused and solution-oriented. It has been wonderful collaborating with them.
Cons: There are still several features for grant management/tracking that RQ doesn't offer.
Jennifer E. · Director of Programs and Grants · Non-Profit Organization Management · January 18, 2024
I use it for annual nominations & recruitment. My committee members that use it a reviewers love and appreciate the ease of use.
Pros: Customer Service, Admin access and controls, ease of use
Cons: The platform could have a better/more modern interface for easier navigation.
