Our overall experience with Adlumin MDR has been positive. The service provides a useful additional layer of security monitoring and helps our team review suspicious activity more efficiently. The MDR alerts and investigation notes give us helpful visibility into potential security events, and the continuous monitoring support helps reduce the burden on our internal team. There is room for improvement around alert clarity, severity justification, and reducing recurring low-value alerts, but overall the service adds value to our security operations.
Pros: What we liked most about Adlumin MDR is the additional layer of security monitoring and MDR support it provides. The alert review process helps us identify suspicious activity more efficiently, and the investigation notes give useful context for understanding whether an alert is benign, suspicious, or requires action. It also helps reduce the burden on our internal team by providing continuous monitoring and escalation support.
Cons: What we liked least is that some alerts could use more detailed context and clearer recommended next steps. At times, it would be helpful to have more explanation around why an alert triggered, how the severity was determined, and what specific remediation actions are recommended. Reducing recurring low-value alerts through additional tuning would also make the service more efficient for day-to-day review.

The product works very well and needs more exposure to end users as a practical add-on to AV or existing EDR.

Domain confidence 90%
Cons: The initial setup is complicated and lengthy at the admin level, but end user installation is very easy. The reports could be more informative about the issue source and resolutions and have better integration with remote management tools.

Good, great additional security tool. The instant responses give us much more peace of mind about the account security threats
Pros: Really fast response to issues. This tool allows us to respond to potential threats even during off hours.
Cons: Had some account issues early on that caused some users downtime as I could not respond to alerts since I didn't have access to respond.

Overwhelmingly positive. I am fairly new to MSP and sysAdmin work, but have found Adlumin very easy to conceptualize, in no small part due to the intuitive GUI.
Pros: I found it easy to learn, I really like the robust nature of alerts, and the intuitive nature of the GUI.
Cons: While I did find it easy to learn, I can see how others would find it difficult. I think it is easier for more engineering minded people but could be challenging for more creative folks. Again, while I like the amount of alerts, I can see how some could run against alert fatigue. That could definitely be helped with calling out alert fatigue in the training/documentation and providing some guidance on how to configure alerts with better intent.

Great product. The price is very competitive and the product fills a need. We would like to spend more time integrating some of the advanced feature (honepot, etc) into our management systems.
Pros: We have been impressed with Adlumin. We started using it just as they merged with N-Able. The product and SOC team have helped us solve complicated security issues.
Cons: We have struggled a bit with Adlumin's integration with our other tools and software products. Adlumin creates a lot of noise in our ticketing system.

It's fine. It does what it's supposed to mostly. But if you need help or support, you're basically on your own.
Pros: It works well, we've never seen anything be able to slip past it. When it does disable something, it's fairly easy to reenable. The notes from support in detections are VERY thorough.
Cons: There is a LARGE number of false positive alerts. We have unblocked/whitelisted/excluded several programs, yet they continue to be blocked. Whenever we call support for assistance, they are usually unhelpful and it feels like we know more than they do about their own product.

Overall, I love it; I have nothing negative to say. The interface, the ease of use, and the control you have with Adlumin, especially when connected to your Microsoft tenant account, make it more interactive.
Pros: I like the response time, the reports, the alerts, the support both online and by phone. I've had many tickets that they've helped me resolve. Honestly, I've been using Adlumin for 2 years, and I think I'll continue using it; it's been a great help to our company.
Cons: I like that some integrations are easier to connect to the APIs. Some have changed the way they work, so the Adlumin documentation should be updated accordingly, but it's not an impediment to connecting; it just means you have to do more web research.

When we were demoing the product, I tried their tool to test the capabilities by running some PowerShell scripts that included lateral movement on my endpoint. I was immediately cut off from the network and received a phone call from Adlumen support notifying us of the breach. If that had been a real security breach, I think Adlumen would have prevented any further action by the threat actor. We were very impressed and signed up for the service right away.
Pros: The speed of detection is great, usually within minutes. If the detection is a suspected breach, the endpoint in question will be cut off from the network immediately, ensuring the breach does not go any further into the network.
Cons: The ability to choose which email notifications is limited. The amount of clutter generated by Adlumen can cause a lot of busy work for admins and at this time, it cannot be adjusted.

After just a little bit of experience and working with support I have found out them to be an unbelievable value, that gives me and my clients the Peace of Mind of having next Generation cybersecurity that exceeds insurance requirements and easily meets all the compliance we have!
Pros: It is an unbelievable value that I was able to use after ransomware event so I could be confident that we had cleaned and eliminated everything I restored the environment!
Cons: The setup time took longer than expected period there were a number of technical challenges for getting everything talking. There have been some improvements, however the timing of getting Engineers on the phone to help me Resolve everything took longer than expected.

Our overall experience with Adlumin has been positive as it has been a solid tool for us to utilize as a MSP.
Pros: The 24/7 monitoring and remediation provided by Adlumin is one of our favorite features along with the ease of integration with many application that our organization already utilizes.
Cons: Adlumin will occasionally cause alert fatigue for our team due to a single incident generating multiple email notifications with the information within the emails often being redundant.

Overall great experience. Highly recommended for a better visibility across the endpoints and systems.
Pros: 24/7 alerts and support is a peace of mind. Ease of use and value for the money spent. Soar is another great feature that keeps evolving.
Cons: Should have a Mobile friendly or an iOS/android app to look when you're on the go. Not a must have but certainly could be helpful!
Ali S. · IT Director · Management Consulting · April 28, 2026
Overall the product is great at giving us eyes on our security posture, bringing in varied log sources, and providing eyes on our environment while we're out of the office or sleeping.
Pros: The integration with the rest of our N-Able stack to add an integrated SIEM and XDR capabilities to our stack.
Cons: Some features are still in development like the compliance sections. Sometimes the XDR team is a bit noisy for false positives.
Nathan W. · Partner · Information Technology and Services · April 28, 2026
Pros: The automation and ease of use. Having a product like adlumin in the lineup makes securing customer environments so much easier.
Cons: The delay between event and notification can be very long, especially considering the severity of the events that we get alerted on (ransomware, account compromise, etc)
Michael R. · Systems Engineer · Information Technology and Services · April 28, 2026
Overall, my experience with Adlumin has been a great experience. It makes our lives easier and helps lessen the stress on my shoulders.
Pros: I like how thorough the product is and how fast it reacts to any suspicious logs. I really like the charts and graphs that it includes in its dashboard. It makes digesting the information easier.
Cons: So far there aren't any cons. If I were to be picky then I would say just learning how to navigate through Adlumin, but that is something you learn along the way.
Erik G. · IT Support Technician · Information Technology and Services · April 28, 2026
My experience has been good. Some false flags. But I’d rather error on the side than of caution. All issues were easily resolvable.
Pros: Someone was watching my systems. At 2 am, if my SQL server was deleting shadow copies, MDR was around to do take action.
Cons: Cost is a factor but not unreasonable. False flags can be an issue initially. Some backup softwares can throw it.
