What won me over on FA was its ability to double post to our various form tools in disperate marketing automation systems. While they do not yet have a connector to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advanced (a big miss for us), they do have connectors to Pardot, Eloqua, and the original Salesforce Marketing cloud. Learning the ins and outs of the tool took some effort but it was well worth it and their free academy and training tools were a serious help.
Pros: FormAssembly is a best in class form building tool and we've tried many. The features are either at parity or exceed the other tools I've had experience with over my tenure as a Marketing Technologist. But the real engine of the tool lies in it's 'workflows' - programs that allow complex decision making at the back end of each form and allow you to connect to different APIs. This unlocks many more capabilities than your average form tool and made it win our company's preferred vendor spot.
Cons: For large organizations FA does not scale cost well. The cost per user exceeds what many enterprise organizations are willing to pay for the functionality. While the UI is straightforward, the tool takes some getting used to due to the level of customization for each field. The integration touchpoints in their connector tool are smooth but also take some tweaking and getting used to. You're likely to fail your first few tests when setting up an integration with a CRM for example. Another drawback lies in it's excel connector - a feature we rely on heavily. They do not integrate directly into Microsoft Sharepoint, instead posting responses to an excel file on one person's OneDrive. The connector also randomly loses it's authenticator connection, making our spreadsheets blank. This has been a frustration for our company as we require this feature for many use cases. If you're comfortable with pulling responses directly from the tool instead, you won't encounter this bug.

Pros: I liked how organized it kept me and the company. Only used for a short while during a trial. Company ultimately went a different way, but I enjoyed it.
Cons: No cons truthfully. Was a great system. Didnt use long enough to really find cons. Hoping a future company uses it.

I was worried when security concerns forced our organization to change online form building platform, but thank goodness that happened because Form Assembly is by far the best and easiest platform in the market.
Pros: The simplest online form builder on the market and a really intuitive connector to Salesforce. Even their embedding capabilities is best in class.
Cons: Literally, there is nothing that I could say that is negative about the Form Assembly platform. Ease of use and complete connectors earn their win in the marketplace.

Form Assembly is a solid starting point and provides a clean way for customers to interact with your Salesforce data. The limitations with both the connectors and the interface to build forms is frustrating. Luckily you can get around some of these frustrations by building out custom CSS and Javascript files but I wish that Form Assembly would invest in their roadmap to create a more robust solution.
Pros: Form Assembly is an easy way to gather information from your customers and sync that data to Salesforce.
Cons: Although the connectors are very convenient, they are also highly limited especially when working with 'repeating sections'. Instead of bulk load the records, it processes them one by one which creates an extremely slow UX. Additionally, the 'Skip this step if' functionality cannot evaluate each record within a repeating section. This 2 limitations has caused us to spend a large amount of time finding work arounds for functionality that is critical in providing an acceptable experience for our customers.

Using their customer support is very helpful, especially when I get someone in a chat instead of back-and-forth emails.
Pros: I find it great how this connects with Salesforce, so I can push data directly into Salesforce. It easy to use and their documentations help when I am unsure of something. I also find creating the forms very easy to do.
Cons: I would appreciate a better way to filter responses from workflow responses; the same way we can filter responses with regular forms.

Transitioning our forms to FormAssembly has been positive for our organization. The integration with Salesforce has reduced manual input and made the process of data collection far more efficient! The integration with Stripe is also valuable: the process of collecting payments with form submissions is intuitive for customers and automatically connected to records in Salesforce. Our disappointment with FormAssembly has been the service portion of the contract. The technical support is not prompt and doesn't feel reliable.
Pros: The biggest benefit of using FormAssembly for our organization is the integration with Salesforce! This is the primary reason we transitioned our forms to FormAssembly and it continues to be where we find the greatest value.
Cons: Our greatest frustration with FormAssembly is the technical support that is available - both the level of care and the response times.

Overall, good experience, the product is solid. Support can sometimes be slow, which makes it difficult to to troubleshoot a pressing issue
Pros: The integration aspect with Salesforce and Google is truly beneficial to any organization that wants to track data efficiently
Cons: Sometimes, connectors quit working for no reason and this causes disruption in business processes and manual data entry

I use Form Assembly for my work. With my input our IT team builds out the forms/applications we need to credential our members for services. I retrieve and review these applications daily from Form Assembly.
Pros: The ability to create and make changes quickly to forms. I also like its ability to simplify the task of retrieving information.
Cons: Not being able to give a form an expiration date for automatic deletion. This would help from people being able to access links post service. This would also help the number of forms being stored post completion. Currently we have to go in manually and delete completed forms/applications after service has been rendered.
Tarrika H. · Director · Non-Profit Organization Management · March 12, 2026
Very pleased overall. The basics are very easy to learn and implement. the integration with Salesforce was key for us.
Pros: Integration with Salesforce and customisation. Ease of form development and field mapping. Has greatly assisted with streamlining our processes.
Cons: The form response output could be much better formatted. Would be good if the infographs on the response pages could be downloaded in an editable format. Occasionally, staff are unable to answer queries if they fall outside that for which help articles have already been written.
Rebecca R. · Grants Manager · Non-Profit Organization Management · March 12, 2026
The product can do so much and it's always being improved. FormAssembly support is always quick and helpful.
Pros: Learning curve is not too steep and we are able to accomplish so much using FormAssembly. We have over 100 forms.
Cons: Although FA email support is very good, there are times when I wish there was a phone or Zoom option.
Mike M. · Marketing Cloud Specialist · Education Management · March 9, 2026
Early, at this point. I have just begun using this tool (although others in our org have had more experience) in the last few months. So far, it really has been pretty easy to use with minimal frustration over limitations.
Pros: It's pretty intuitive to use. I am a new to FA user, fairly tech savvy, and was able to be up and working very quickly. I also like that FA can be used with Salesforce.
Cons: I have like to have more question formats. Specifically, I would like to have the ability to create questions with a matrix format with multiple prompts in a single question. I have more experience with SurveyMonkey and have the ability to do this with that tool.
Dré H. · Senior Educator Support Specialist · Non-Profit Organization Management · March 9, 2026
Our overall experience is very good, we have been using Formassembly for a couple of years, we moved almost all our web forms to the platform, and we get a great value from the integration with Salesforce.
Pros: Ease of use, Salesforce connector let us do almost everything in Salesforce from our forms, unlimited forms.
Cons: We do not have specific complains on Formassembly, at least with the funcionality we are using right now.
Diego M. · VP for Economics Affairs · Education Management · March 9, 2026
We chose FormAssembly after a thorough comparison with other products, and it has not disappointed. We started out with a few use cases we wanted to solve for, but as we've grown more comfortable we use it for a lot more. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone!
Pros: Almost everything! To highlight a few: Paying for users vs # of responses is SO helpful for a not-for-profit, especially when sometimes it's very difficult to predict how many responses a form will get. The Salesforce connector is SO robust - we have a very customized SF instance, so this is an important feature for us. As the connector has gotten more development and more features, it just keeps getting better. The quarterly webinars outlining new features are incredibly helpful to see what is being developed and released, as well as getting ideas for further efficiencies and broadening our use cases.
Cons: The customer support is good, I would love to see the chat feature enabled for a more instant response. The documentation is good, however I'd love to see more updates with the new features and consistency in the support library, and perhaps some easier navigation.
Chantelle A. · Program Operations Systems Specialist · Non-Profit Organization Management · March 6, 2026
Mostly excellent. There was an unfortunate delay connecting with Support when we first got FormAssembly, but that has mostly been remedied.
Pros: I love how flexible the platform is and how it connects with others -- especially Salesforce and various payment/credit card providers.
Cons: There is a learning curve to get some of the features up and running, and we have run into some issues regarding reports working properly.
Lorraine G. · Executive Director · Music · March 4, 2026
Overall have had a great experience with FormAssembly. It's helped streamline many forms that we ask our users to complete with the integration with Salesforce.
Pros: It connects easily with Salesforce, which makes it simple to send form data where it needs to go without a lot of extra steps. If your team relies on Salesforce, this is a big plus. The form builder is user-friendly and straightforward. It doesn’t take long to get the hang of it, and you don’t need to be super technical to build good, functional forms. Customer support has also been helpful. When issues come up, the team is responsive and does a good job walking you through solutions.
Cons: Customization can feel a bit limited unless you know HTML. If you want more advanced styling or specific design tweaks, you’ll likely need some coding knowledge. It also isn’t possible to automatically send a PDF copy of a completed form in the confirmation email to respondents, which can be a drawback depending on your needs.
Sarah J. · Support Specialist · Non-Profit Organization Management · March 3, 2026
Very good, I have used it for grant reporting from nonprofit grantees over the years I like it more.
Pros: I like that Form Assembly enables user's to come back to save their work unlike Smartsheet. This is.
Cons: I think the user interface could be streamlined to improve building a smart sheet. This is a design.
Moriah S. · Program Officer · Non-Profit Organization Management · March 3, 2026
I have had great experience with FormAssembly. I use the platform any time I can when I need to create a form.
Pros: FormAssembly makes form creation and CRM integration extremely simple. The flexibility and versatility of the product cannot be beat by any other form creation tool out there.
Cons: It would be nice if all settings would map over when cloning a form. There have been a few times in the past that I cloned a form but forgot to go back in and turn on the connectors.
Leona B. · Associate Director of Admissions · Higher Education · March 3, 2026
FormAssembly is a total lifesaver for building forms that actually work. It is super easy to get the hang of, and I love that you can set it up without needing to be a tech genius. The forms look great on mobile, too, which is huge. It can be a little intimidating when you first dive into the Salesforce integration settings, but once it’s set up, everything runs on autopilot. It's a solid choice if you're tired of basic form tools that break the moment you try to do something custom."
Pros: How they fill out the form and it automatically puts in the contact information. It goes right to the campaign and it helps to put all information in one direect form,
Cons: If they were already a contact in salesforce sometimes they would get logged in again. Duplicating the contacts.
Robin H. · Prayer, Outreach and Family Coordinator · Non-Profit Organization Management · February 27, 2026
Overall it has helped our business tremendously. We use multiple forms on a regular basis throughout the organization. We have used it for a number of years and the functionality and capabilities have gotten even better over time.
Pros: That it connects with Salesforce and you can set a cut off number. That is recognizes duplicates. You can easily the forms with errors.
Cons: had some issues when we had a large number of users filling out the form at the same time and had a low cut off number. I liked when we could just have one team account versus a different login for each user.
Dorothy S. · Homeowner Support and Engagement Sr Manager · Non-Profit Organization Management · February 27, 2026
Good. Once we learned how to use it, it was easy to copy forms and edit for new uses. It's easy to learn how to build a form, but needed help with the interface.
Pros: Easy to learn and use. Great detailed log of the process. Flexible in what and how you can gather information.
Cons: That it's not native to our current CRM. It's a bit challenging setting up the interface for the first time. We had help from a consultant.
Jacque W. · CEO · Non-Profit Organization Management · February 25, 2026
Our experience with FormAssembly has been very positive. We continue to expand our use of it. They regularly add new features and functionality.
Pros: FormAssembly allows us to securely collect and bring data into our Salesforce environment from web forms. The integration works very well and is not difficult to set up.
Cons: The form building tool is very powerful and it does take some time to learn how to use it. The page loads for the connectors can be very slow.
Jeffrey C. · Enrollment Systems Administrator · Higher Education · February 25, 2026
We have used FA for over 2 years now, and we are still bringing other departments into the fold. Other employees are amazed that it can be so user friendly and more reliable than other forms.
Pros: Easy to use, and it helps streamline our processes. We can build forms in minutes that help save employees countless hours of data processing.
Cons: The AI tool, Fai, is great, but it can get stuck sometimes when you ask a difficult question. When it converted a web form for us, it needed a lot of editing.
Sarah D. · Assistant Director of Data Management · Education Management · February 24, 2026
“Overall a positive experience, especially thanks to the excellent helpdesk support.” “My overall experience was good, mainly due to the efficiency and responsiveness of the helpdesk.” “Positive, with great support from the helpdesk whenever needed.” “If possible, offer more options to create and customize forms.”
Pros: “Very easy form creation and seamless Salesforce integration.” “Simple to build forms, with a reliable connection to Salesforce.” “Ease of form creation combined with excellent Salesforce integration.
Cons: “The main drawback is the limited flexibility in personalizing fields.” “Field customization options are restricted, which can be frustrating for more advanced use cases.”
Adriana F. · Projet Manager · Education Management · February 24, 2026
FormAssembly is an awesome and essential tool for Salesforce admins! It's easy to use and very affordable. The people are also great.
Pros: Easy Salesforce integration and form building! It's simple and intuitive to integrate and map Salesforce fields.
Cons: Customizing a form's format and style is difficult. The interface is also a little outdated, although functional.
Jimmy W. · Salesforce Administrator · Higher Education · February 23, 2026
My overall experience with FormAssembly has been 5 starts. We have been using for about 3 years, and it works for all our forms. I like that is user friendly. It is not hard to navigate or create forms.
Pros: I like that it connects to Salesforce: MatchForce. It cuts down on the time that we have to do data entry.
Cons: The connectors can be difficult to figure out. If the connectors are wrong, it does mess up the form uploading correctly.
